I highly recommend this teacher. He is the best. He is very interested in his students learning. His teaching stragety is awesome. He teaches in a way that you will learn and remember the formulas.

i took this class for 0312, and i really enjoyed it. he always arrives early n stays late 4 anyone who needs help. i hated math but he made it fun and easy. i got a A in this class and recommend him to the fullest. im going to take him for math 1314 next summer term

I loved math but this guy is a huge jack as*! Big ego always talking about his country and about religion. I thought this was a math class not church! Very thick accent. The first day in class we had about 30 student. THIRD day 4 students because he will humiliate you in front of the class instead of talking to you in private. BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE!
This is a very good teacher he interesting in his students learning show some intrest in learning and he will help you if you want to be help I took this professor last sesmeter and passed with a c and I will be taking him in the fall and also in the spring of next year
The comment below about the class 1324 is a lie!! We know who you are! There was only 8 people in the class when it started and you are the only one who dropped b/c you came 45 minutes late every class. So how can you give a comment when you weren't even there most of the time. This class has been the best ever and he is the best teacher ever!....

Khaled El-Loubani is a great math instructor. He cares about his students and makes himself available for assistance. He expects you to attend class (it can affect your grade if you do not.) Kool sense of humor. Highly recommended.

Mr. Loubani is a great teacher. My concern goes out to the people that makes a comment on the first day of class. How are you going to rate a teacher on the first day and you haven't even did anything yet. Not cool!! He's good, I got a "B"!! You guys can too if you put effort into going to school to learn!!
Khaled El-Loubani is a cool teacher he just wants you to take his class serious he gives two ten min breaks for the pple who attend his friday classes. His pet p is pple who miss or come late to class.Good luck
awesome professor he explains everything so clear and if you still dont understand he still stay after class or in break time to repeat what u didnt understand i for sure gonna take him next semester for 0312 i recomend him you should take him too! oh but never be late for class because he is picky about that :)

sells the tutor idea more than taking the time to explain an issue. allows notes during exams; your note taking abilities are a must to pass. unable to work with you if you have family/work issue that keeps you from classes. more like a HS teacher than a college one. I do not recommend him if you have more than school going on in life.
Awsome teacher, good sense of humor, keeps class alive, works with the students. Easy to understand! i would highly recommend.
good prof. i read the comment below if you have a life as family aka kids and husband/wife, thats no excuse i passed the class with an A having a husband and kid. really good professor and i did not use the notes for test just study.

took him for college algebra, well worth the drive to northline from pearland. he explains alternate methods vs the book, and wont move on till every one gets the problems.
I have never wanted to take any math class until after I took a class with El-Loubani.He shows you methods you need to pass and let's you use a cheat sheet on every test..He is well worth taking.
I hate math so I was a little nerved up however Mr. El-loubani was the best math teacher I've had, ever!!! I wish I had him for my math teacher when I was in high school I would be a math major...
El-loubani is a very smart guy. He really tries to make learning math easy on you. He lets you use a cheatsheet on every test, and doesn't test you over stuff you do not know. But, if you struggle in math you will need to study. He doesn't you use a calculator and his final was pretty hard. But besides that if you try and study you should do well.
Great professor! attendance is very important and he lets you have a cheatsheet on the tests. He makes math look easy but you have to study. He also makes the class fun with his little jokes

Amazing teacher. I suffered with algebra and dropped it twice prior to him but passed with this class. Made it simple and easy. Would recommend this teacher to anyone who struggles with algebra. Great teacher!!
Very excellent professor, takes his time explain each math sentence/problem. Breaks down the problem so that you can learn it and have something to look at during review for exams. Will take him for 0312 or any other math class, He's great. I'm MYT I approve this meesage. Thank you.
He explains things in a more complicated way, i think he just didnt like me and thats why he gave me a lower grade......he assigns too many online homeworks and if u miss a class u miss A LOT. and if u miss homeworks too, some dont have a lot of time to be done. Hes kind of awkward and corny with his jokes, and he will stare at you in a weird way.
He's a really cool teacher. He gave the whole class 10 extra points on a quiz because my friend was not satisfied with her score on it. He is very corny though. Do the online homework.
Great professor. This was my first College course and i have NOT done math in a very long time. I love his way of teaching. Just pay attention and do your work assignments and you are guaranteed to pass. I will be taking him for the rest of my math courses.
He is a very good teacher. This was my first class in 15 years and still managed to get an A during a mini semester. He does go out in left field once in a while but for the most part he explains things very well. Shows you ways to make sure you understand. As long as you are there to ACTUALLY LEARN, and put forth a little effort.
i would be honest with you that he is the best mth teacher. 0308 math has never been eassy class for me but if you go to class on time and listen and ask question , he will make sure you understand the concept before he assign you with home work, i passed his class. i never thought i would have made it.
He is a good professor. Make sure you are good at math or have taken pre algebra courses before you take him. Don't expect an easy A. Do the work.
This professor is very good, take him if you want an A. His lecture is incredible. One test every half of chapter. 4 tests value 25% each.if you don't good on one of your 4 tests, you will have a final to replace one of those. if you do good and happy with your 4 tests, you don't have to take the final. He is good.

He's an awesome math professor, makes class really interesting. Easy class, gives homework, but only for your knowledge, does not grade it but make sure you do it otherwise you will not pass his tests. You have to work hard for your grade, not an easy A but for sure you will understand!
I had taken Professor El-Loubani during the Spring 2014 semester and Math 1314 and he is amazing at what he does and you need to provide him dedication and in return you should get a A!
Took him for college algebra. I sucked at math in high school but I made an A in his class. I like the way he explains things, very simple and straight forward. The key to doing well in his class is to always come- you will miss something, pay attention in class and take notes, and do the home work. He's funny sometimes and sounds like Dracula x)
Professor Khaled El-Loubani is the best instructor for teaching math to those of us who have weakness in math. He explains things in a precise orderly and to the point. He will also assist each student personally when they need help. He even allowed homework assignments to be done in class. I would certainly recommend this class to anyone.
Not a good professor at all! His lectures are short but are confusing! the worse thing about this professor was that he was not clear about what his exams would consist of! No study guide, just go over all his lectures. The exams were not set up like this though. Also gets very upset on students for asking simple questions.
He is a horrible teacher. He expects for you to know algebra before you take this class but for some it has been awhile. He is not approachable and does not give a review sheet prior to the exams. Do not take him. I will have to retake this course in the summer with a different teacher. The few students that passed in class had experience w Cal.
He is such a typical professor in regards to when you ask him for help. He says "It's in the book, do it in your own time." Hmm, of course it's in the book but when it comes to math there are steps you simply don't understand how you get to the answer that the book can't explain. You can tell he tries sometimes but not enough.
Great teacher if your willing to do your homework/ test online. Gives you enough time to do homework and "sometimes" lets you use notes on test. If you study you'll definitely pass this class with an A.
Great teacher! Lectures are concise but precise. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, and don't just do it but really try to practice a problem several times until you get it. Completing your homework and really understanding it will help you ace the exams. He gives more than enough time for homework and has a review day before each exam. Easy A if you study!
THIS PROFESSOR CAN BE RUDE BUT ONCE YOU GET TO KNOW HIM HE'S OK. I WOULDN'T TAKE HIS CLASS AGAIN BECAUSE HE DOESN'T OFFER EXTRA CREDIT. IF YOU ARE GOOD AT MATH THEN I WOULD SUGGEST HIS CLASS. HE DOES HAVE SOME GREAT METHODS ON HOW HE TEACHES.

I'm in the winter term 2017 with this professor only 3 days into the class with 40 assignments including the exams which is ridiculous for only 4 wks! Professor is rude i asked him to give me call he was just so rude telling me to contact him by email only which couldve been fine, he is just so sarcastic! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!
3 tests and a final. You CANNOT afford to miss classes; YOU WILL NOT PASS, except you are great in calculus. You need to have a good grip of your college algebra (or learn on your own simultaneously as I did) or you'll be frustrated in this class! Prof is a bit tough but he "rewards" a class that makes the effort in attendance and participation
It is a given that mini terms consists of a super condensed course. However, 40 assignments on top of 4 exams is far too much to take in and learn over 4 weeks. Worked through Christmas and New Years and still couldn't complete the homework. Final exam grade is 40% of your overall grade. He doesn't even give you a fair chance to stay afloat.
I was in his mini session class. Way too much work in a short period of time. He isn't helpful. The homework online consumes too much time and it's really hard to get done even if you're logging on everyday because there are 40 assignments that he wants done in less than 30 days. Not realistic.
A textbook is required in order to do his homework. I like his class at the beginning, however, sometimes he tried to solve a problem or explain one and he did not really know how... I did not like the fact that he would not hand back the test for us to review our errors.

study. remember equations. 3 quizzes and a final about 30 questions each.(no make up) does not like it when people are late or miss class cause you will miss a lot. cracks a joke here and there. goes fast, be sure to tell him to slow down or do more examples if you dont understand. homework given every class but easy
He gives out hw but is not for a grade most of the time. If you like to take notes well then that is all you will be doing from day to day besides test days. Doesn't give extra credit and no mercy so don't expect a curve if you need those 3 points to pass. Hated his class, all day every day you take notes, nots, and ore notes.
all homework is online. book is useless but you need to buy it because it comes with a code for the online hw. 3 tests I believe and the final was 33 questions that are hard if you dont know nothing. so study and pay attention. but even if you dont you might pass with a C like myself . & dont be late or miss class.
Professor Khalde is awesome. I had to retake Math0409 and he helped me pass. He takes time to explain to you step by step each problem. His goal is for everyone to pass but you have to do your part as a student. Go to class ask questions do your work. I HATE MATH, but thanks to him I was able to understand enough to pass and get my credit.
I have taken this professor for four different math classes since I am a business major passing all four! He explains math in the simplest terms. The whole semester all you have is three test and a final. He almost always adds 10 extra points to your grade of the test and if you participate your guaranteed a curve.
WORST Professor! He said I did not take 3 of my major exams although i did but on connect math instead of Canvas HCC. I explained to him how there was no links to the exams on Canvas and he did not care! I scored 100 on my exams and an average of 79 on my homework. He went ahead and still gave me an F in the class. does not care about the student.
I have taken this professor for four semesters now. His test are straightforward, he doesn't try to trick you. Class attendance it super important to him and he gives 10 extra points on the test if there is perfect attendance any one day during the unit. You have to do your homework, it is all online, my math lab or connect math. Lots of notes

Great Teacher and shows you multiple ways of working out the materials. Allows formula sheets for exams and minimal homework.
He was very unorganized this semester. Has the nerve to blame us student for his mistake in distributing wrong exam. He's been at HCC too long, you can tell he has no patience with students anymore. His tone is cold. I recommend you to keep up with your own grades, He likes to wait for the last day to tell you that you are missing assignments.
He does his job. but he is very lazy he will sit at his desk and not move until its time to go. he will not walk around class. you will walk to him and see what you did wrong. no pop up exam. three exams and a district final. Tutoring and my husband helped me pass the class plus prior knowledge...
I took this professor for math 0314 and it was horrible. He did not respond to any emails sent to him, in class he would show you his way of solving a problem and if you couldn't get it he would say "what's so hard about my way, there is no other way, you either get it or you don't". Needless to say, my entire class of 10 failed the course.
Serious professor with unexpected moments of humor. He's clear on what's expected from students in order to pass. You must be driven and not a procrastinator. He explains every problem step by step, then assigns homework based on what he's taught. Homework helps a ton. Don't be lazy, do the HW and you will pass. He gives reviews before each test
Love this professor, love his teaching technique! Will help you understand the problem(s), if you are having difficulty. I took this professor for Math 0409 and 1312. He final is an easy A, you must attend his final review sessions and do the final exam reviews for extra credit. Just don't be late to class or he will put you on the spot.
I have never studied yet he still fails me. How am I supposed to pass when he doesn't give me an A so that I can move on. In all seriousness, if you don't want to fail this course make sure to do the homeworks assigned. If you do the hw it prepares you for the tests. I mean take it from me, the person who is repeating this class for the 5th time.
In the future I wont take no class with this professor. On the day of the final he made me put away my calculator. Plus he is very sarcastic he like to put people on blast.
Great professor, honestly he was a good online summer class professor. His tests weren't impossible. Just study his test reviews and you will be good to go. Know how to do every problem and even for the final it was not to bad. Just study all the reviews and you will do great. My math lab was the only pain.
I took his Math 1324 class and let me just say it was truly horrible. The test location on the syllabus was not the correct location and had to go to three different building till iI found it. Also did 30 homework assignments he didn't even put in the grade book at the end of the semester. I am still fighting to get my homework grades recorded.
Every time he gives us a paper he pass around and ask everybody if there are any questions. He is caring, respectful, kind. What is more important is that he feels passion about what he teaches and knows well his material. All the assignments are online with examples and everything. In the class you only take notes. Best teacher ever.
While it I took his course in the Online format, teacher was completely absent, Provided materials skipped valuable steps and provided due dates are incoherent. First video he directs you too is labeled "Do not Complain" Should have taken that as a glaring neon sign.
"Use Chrome, Log in through Canvas, and follow instructions" that's all about instructions in the Syllabus. Following that, I bought the Access Code and tried to register to MyLab & Mastering via Canvas but got the error code 84 (wrong course). The answer for my email is "No, you didn't read the instruction in my Syllabus". Dropped. Terrible Prof.
Instructions on syllabus are not clear Sends you online sessions links thru word?? then one of them is canceled and doesn't respond to your emails. Sends new link in 3 in the morning, ye, I'm awake at 3 in the morning. Doesn't help you understand any concepts, just tells you to refer to the examples in the book. DO NOT TAKE HIM.
Continuation from previous rating. His "recording" are horrible, good luck comprehending anything he tells you. I once asked him if I could use a tablet to draw my work according to his syllabus, i need permission prior so he gives me permission and tells me to use paper??? then backpedals on what he said and tells me only paper and nongraph calc.
3 test and a final. All the homework is due in connect math which goes over all 6 chapters. If you can learn by yourself go for it. He tries to post lecture videos and give sample questions for some of the tests. Only the first and the final test required lockdown browser.
This class requires you to do a lot of self-teaching. The exams were okay, nothing too hard. Requires webcam for first exam and final. Be sure to complete the connect math, he allows unlimited attempts. I emailed him throughout the semester with questions and he always got back to me regardless of the time of day. It takes discipline to learn/pass!
Be prepared to teach yourself. He left my class half way through the semester, doesn't respond to emails, is rude and doesn't help.
He never gets up from his chair to teach, just plays videos and tells you to not take notes during class. You have to rewatch the videos and take notes at home. EXTREMELY RUDE, when he asks a question that no one can answer (because he didnt teach) he starts snapping his fingers at you like that is suppose to makes us answer. Have to teach yourself
Take him!! Make sure you study outside of class and importantly before any test. Textbook comes with the an access code which you HAVE to purchase for the hw, and other materials are included. Lectures were very understandable, he will answer all questions and explain if you have any. Do the homework and attend his review day for final.
Take him, if you study and do the homework the class should be a breeze. His lectures are fast paced but really good!
This is the rudest professor I've ever met. He is so lazy. He won't even bother to reply if you send him an email. And if he responds, expect nonsense from him. Never again.
VERY STRICT ON CLASSROOM RULES ( NO DRINKS, SNACKS, PHONE ETC). ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY,MOVES VERY FAST AND SEEMS BOTHERED WHEN YOU ASK TO REPEAT PROBLEM. I WAS A FEW POINTS SHY OF PASSING CLASS AND ASKED IF I CAN DO EXTRA HOMEWORK OR A QUIZ FOR CREDIT, HE WAS RUDE ABOUT AND DENIED IT. I WAS ALWAYS ON TIME AND NEVER MISSED A DAY OR DEDLINE ON HMWRK
I would prepare to learn outside of the resources given. Especially if taken online.
