Unclear teaching style, essay tests. Very knowledgeable, and very funny. Hard tests but easy grader.
Im a Muslim and even I got lost often in this class when he got into the small details of the religion. He always used Arabic terms and talked about rituals way too much.He is very smart though (knows all 3 Abrahamiac religions)VERY boring bring a pillow
He is smart and knows everything about Islam and all other religions. I think he was a great professor. He grades easy, didnt have to read to much, just go to class everyday and take notes
This class was okay, but the prof. was rather difficult to deal with and sometimes was unreasonable with expectations. Don't recommend.
This class was boring but it was easy. Although Dr Mohammed goes off topic a lot his tests are easy and he tries to give everyone a passing grade. Not much of a problem if you miss class just read the book befor the teast and you will be fine
Easy class, but strange man. Unclear and boring.
Easy class, but I'm not getting a thing out of it. He sucks. I'd rather get a lobotomy than sit through another class with him.
Very ineffective professor and boring ... although his is a fairly easy grader
This professor brings passion and knowledge to his class. He knows his stuff, and struggles to tone down his lectures for undergrads. Neat dresser.
Excellent teacher. Allows students to air their views without bias. Tolerates a lot. very approachable. helps whatever the issue. Resides on campus so always accessible. Male feminist. Cool dude. KMo should be gov of CA.
Classes can be boring, but he occasionally adds spice to them. Numerous public speakers and many chances for extra credit (though he might be changing that) Overall a good class
He was a great guy. Many interesting guest speakers, funny tests which were not hard. I'm glad he brings in everyone from different perspectives and is unbiased. take good notes study your notes for test and you can do great.
Excellent prof. some religious organizations try to spread propaganda against him...but he is worth checking out. articulate. don't argue with him on Judiasm, christianity or islam. what is he doing at sdsu? get him before he moves to the big leagues
excellent. makes boring info seem juicy. lots of trivia. loves his subject. yeah..let's make him gov of ca. Kmo rules
Awesome professor. Picks your brain on a topic that is necessary for all to know. Tries to make you see the big picture. Intimidating at first but an amazing person with an incredible intellect.
Great teacher, just get to know him, go to office hours.
tIRES TO MAKE A BORING SUBJECT FUN

He asks questions on tests that he never lectured on or were in our book. Very formal, but not a good or organized "professor" .... this guy doesn't even know what a scantron is.
In class he just goes over his notes and then posts them online. You have to write weekly book reports and the midterm is scantron, but the quesions are about random details from class. He doesn't even know what a scantron is either.
To the students who are disgruntled because they did not study hard enough for the midterm; you should try studying next time. KM is an extremeley intellegent and dedicated professor. We should all be lucky enough to have such an excellent professor.
Fantastic. no bias. good guest speakers. To those who want scantron: go seek someone who sees studensts as numbers not persons
Very funny teacher. He will help you alot, go visit him. Non biased. Very good. Take him if you want to open your mind. I was uninterested in Religion, but this classed opened my mind and made me educated for when i argue about Religion.
Great teacher. Funny guy. Only two tests.(and that was fine). Got a better grade than I thought I would. Just study for the tests and do the weekly writings (which aren't hard). He just wants to know what you think most of the time.
Wasn't sure what to make of him at the beginning of the semester, but turned out to be a good professor. There was reading that I found pointless and a few writing assignments that were extremely easy. Then there was a scantron midterm and a blue book final. I guess he grades easy since I got an A.
very smart man. he is funny and witty. easy class overall. i did better than i thought. the head department is keeping an eye on him because he gives out to many a's. just try your best and he will see your effort.
Awesome guy. He comes off a bit intimidating early on in the year, but hes chill. He knows his**** and is as straight forward as can be. Class was intresting and ull do great if u put a little effort. just a little though.
this prof is the sh!t.. overall class was entertaining because he is witty.. knows his stuff well.. doesn't pretend to know things that he doesn't.. just put in some effort and you'll get a good grade.
Totally without bias. The best in Religion. Funny. Knowledgeable. But only "jokes" around with smart students...so if he ignores you, you have not done your reading....wish the govt would listen to him instead of those idiots who claim to be experts.
Man is clinically insane. Sent angry emails to class because we didnt do assignments he never told us were due. Sick mind, ****ous, horrible horrible teacher...on the plus side, I got an A. Avoid if possible
unusual approach...does not take attendance but ensures that you have to attend to get all his material.Excellent teacher. Does not tolerate idiots.Don't let his smile fool you...can be a hard marker. But he is the best.
The class wasn't that hard it was just hard to stay awake in class. If you can stay awake and take notes you will do fine. He goes to the very last minute of every class talking and talking and talking! Really not that bad
funny guy.. you do have to go to class and take notes and read the book and study but i didn't do any of that and somehow pulled a b- .. he helps you out and gives a tiny bit of extra credit.. and he is NOT hot... don't believe the chili pepper.. he's old
What is with you guys: Talks till the end of class? Duh..I thought we pay for this. Old and chili pepper? i rather his oldness than some of the garbage we get. Not to say he is all okay..he is a nitpicker on needless details. but one of the best teachers...
This guy has a seven page syllabus that does not mentiona single assignment! He is as eassy as it gets but is not a great teacher by any means. The class is tolerable, but quizes and final exam cover narrow terms from lecture, hard to study for. But even though I got lower than a "C" on every quiz and exam, but got a B in the class.

By far one of the best professors I have had at SDSU! In this class you learn so much from a NEUTRAL perspective about all religions. Don't listen where they say he is inapropriate, he tries really hard to be fair and does a good job. He is funny, some people are just too sensitive- wonderful teacher- if you want to expand your mind and perspective
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HIM IF YOU DONT HAVE TO. Just like the other students said, if you want him to single you out and talk about sex, weed, and be super inappropiate, take him. This class is not easy and is honestly the worst class I have taken at State by far. AGAIN DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
Very funny and knows his stuff!! One midterm and final, and a few writing assignments. Seemed intimidating at first but hes really cool. But if you are hypersensitive about religion or anything else that may be even slightly controversial then this isn't the professor for you.
A very good professor. He is thorough in his teaching, and he is willing to have discussions/consider your points. Responsive when you (legitimately) ask for help, but can get frustrated with uncooperative/unparticipatory/uncompelled students.
Intelligent and Unbiased. If you are interested in learning about all religions take it, if you want to be spoon fed out of a text book take some one else. We are paying this University to learn, so If yo are on the "C's get degrees" path, do us all a favor, take another prof, quit complaining, and grow up!
Omg, this class was weird. Thought I was failing, and continued to bug him for extra credit assignments and ended up with an A overall. 2 tests, 2 papers, some minor reading. Overall easy. Oh, true, don't take this class if u don't like being singled out.
Great teacher... doesnt take any crap from whiney ass students who have ran to mommy and daddy all their lives..he actually challenges you to think by yourself and doesnt just read out of a book...2 tests and papers that are really easy basically just state your opinion... great teacher way funny too especially when people complain about him
Great prof. I started off with a B in the class but near the end only made it out with a C, the class is odd. Only take this class if you are truly interested in the subject.
Prof. Mohammed is awesome. He is both entertaining and fairly knowledgeable about the subject. I felt that he was fair to the students and unbiased when talking about the various religions. Learn to not mearly tolerate other religions but undertand them and then make your decision. The class is easy as long as you come to class.
Prof. Mo is an interesting person who comes off very condescending, but he really is a good guy. Read the syllabus, and do the readings. If you do that, you will be set. Go to his office hours, and develop a realtionship with him and you will do well in his class.
He is knowledgable but very condescending. Maybe if you establish a relationship with him he grades easier, but he's kind of rude so it makes you not want to talk to him. At times he can be funny but overall treats you like a high school child. If you can get someone else i would suggest it...definitely not an easy A...or B!
Dr. Mo is a REALLY nice guy if you get to know him. The class is HARD, but you actually learn a lot about MANY different religions. If you have a relationship with him before hand it makes the class a lot more enjoyable. He definately has his favorites and you can tell who they are because he makes fun of them a lot. Good teacher
He picks on people, which is fine, but his tests are hard and he won't help you if you do go to his office hours.
This class was Violence in the Abrahamic Faiths, a grad course. Class was difficult, lots of reading and long paper, but professor was helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He had a great sense of humor, but expected you to show in class and noticed when you didn't. He learns names quickly and calls on students to answer questions. Would recommend.
funny man and interesting stuff. his tests are ok if you study..but thats a given in any class of religion..dont take if you want to judge religion
He's an okay teacher. His tests are straight off the internet, but you have to memorize a lot of weird vocabulary and little details. It's definately not an easy A or B but if you read the book it makes it a lot easier.
professor was a nice and funny guy. class wasn't that hard. he uses a lot of the exact questions from old quizzes on the midterm and final so its hard to get lower then a C on those tests. reading pretty much gives you all the answers. he randomly has sign in sheets so missing class can be risky for part of your grade. overall, not hard.
This class was very interesting and the prof is a very funny guy. Read the text and read the notes but you dont really need to go to lectures since they are all online. If you study and read the notes its an easy A.
There's lots of memorization oflots of difficult words. Reading is very important and so is lecture since tests come from a combination of both. He's a really funny guy but is easily aggitated.
very interesting class. and he's a really funny guy. good teacher too. but the quizzes and tests are kinda hard =/ you have to read A LOT and there are SOOOO MANY stuff to memorize. not necessarily an easy class but not a super hard one either. go to lectures and actually read the book!
Mohammed was awesome! His class was hilarious and actually bearable. The tests were really easy, and all the so-called weird vocabulary words were simple religious terms. Anyone with an ounce of religious tolerance would pick up on them easily. I got a B+ in the class with maybe an hour a week of study time.
This is for Rels 379. Very tough to figure out what the tests are on. Lots of readings that dont really applly to the tests, and a lot of dumb Religion Majors. But god must have saved me because i passed. Interesting subject just a tough one to get tested on.
One of my favorite professors! Loves making jokes about himself and pop culture. Has really great information in his powerpoints. You really just need to get them from blackboard and read them before the test. He does get a little pissy when no one participates on class though. Really liked this class and only fell asleep a few times this semester
He is an amazingly interesting teacher. He made the subject really interesting, he explains things so well. He is extremely helpful, always available and answers questions well. You must go to class and take notes, he posts most of the notes online, but he adds a lot of info during lecture. You NEED to read the chapters and study notes.
This subject is very very difficult for someone not familiar with religion. He is a good professor but there is ton's of reading and he screws you with some of the stuff he puts on the final and midterm. The class is very interesting and attendance is mandatory.
i loved his class! He is really funny and not afraid to be politically incorrect... he demanded my attention and i never missed class once! If you are interested in learning about world religions then take this class, but if you're looking for an easy A that you can sleep through there's no way you'd survive... my favorite professor so far!!!
This professor does not know what he is talking about. He's got his information backwards because many things that he teaches are Wrong!!!
Great professor, but tough. Should know background info on all three religions, no hw, just read the book because he calls you out in class. Always cracking jokes, and talks about the ganja man :)
Nice guy, HORRIBLE professor. Most of the time in class you have no idea what's going on. He goes off on tangents that may or may not have anything 2 do with material! There is no note taking, really. He doesn't lecture. Only rant. We had 2 essay exams and a paper. All of which is totally based on readings. I have pretty much learned nothing. Sad.
Love his jokes. Sharp as ever. Most knowledgeable prof I have ever taken. Love the way he subtly insults those who claim to be religion specialists and don't know their own religion. When he defined ëbionite in class, one bible thumper nearly shat himself.
do the workbook it is the most important part. if you have all of your workbook answers correct, memorize them to ace quizzes, mid-term & final. the workbook grade messed me up because I was absent when he collected it. Go to each class just in case. Not too hard.
only got an A-. But that's okay. Guy is the best. You learn to argue..to reason...not only in religion. was hoping for abrahamic religions course in spring..but he will not be teaching it this spring. I can wait. took his REL 101...lots of jokes, lots of reading..but I know more about my own religion now...and can argue for it.
As long as you have the correct workbook answers, memorize those to ace the quiz/midterm/final. Every question is from the workbook..Super easy. Collects workbooks randomly to take roll, other than that there is no attendance. it sucks if you were gone the day your name is called but otherwise you never have to go to class. Take this class !!
He is very wise! He goes off topic a lot in lectures and has horrible pp slides though. He is very nice, if you go in his office hours he wants to help. Sit in the front row and he will love you! Memorize the workbook questions and you will do great in the class. Show up once in a while to lectures because he does random notebook checks
He is an interesting guy but his class is not as straight forward as he makes it seem. Memorize the workbook for quizzes but as much as he says he hates the text, you also have to read that for exams. Attendance is reccomended because he collects workbooks randomly and counts it in your grade.
Read the book! Quizzes/tests are based on mostly workbook questions and some textbook (usually vocab and some concepts). He'd rather have discussion than lecture so speak up. He uses controversial (but really funny) examples to get us to wake up/discuss things about religion. Doesn't take attendance but randomly calls names to collect workbooks.
Very objective in his teaching and loves questions. Get to know the guy, he appreciates students who show interest. He jokes a lot about religion so if you are offended easily I wouldn't suggest taking his class. Class discussions rarely show up on tests but it is VITAL you attend class. He is a a stickler on grammar and format for the paper.
I love this man, wow he is by far the best teacher at sdsu, i walked in not knowing anything about islam but what I see on tv and how bad they are and killing people after taking his class you really would know what islam is all about not a religion person my self but i truly loved it and he is really funny
Nice guy, though wouldn't recommend him as a professor. Doesn't stay on topic a lot of the time. Memorize questions on workbook and you should be fine. Other than that didn't learn much...should have taken Dr. Bonni :/
Wow, don't plan on learning much. With less classes than furlough days this semester was a wash. Spent most of the class cracking jokes and being politically incorrect. You'll laugh your ass off, but won't learn much. Easy GE.
I don't understand some of the comments. I learned so much from this class! If you engage him, he loves it; if you stay quiet, you suffer.Excellent prof, easy to talk to. Deserves an award for being thick skinned
WTF? This is the coolest professor by far. I had NO interest in religion..and now i will try to major in it. He knows his stuff and how to get your attention. Just do the work instead of complaining and u will get an okay grade. He should get some better TA's though--except for Paige, the rest were useless
This guy is super easy. just memorize the workbook questions word for word like I did and you will be fine, for the most part. I got a solid A on both the midterm and final, as well as the only time he checked my notebook and I still got a B in the class because of low participation? He can't even match any faces with names in the 200 person class
Complete joke of a class. Including furlough days, this professor missed almost two weeks of class and then penalized for absences. I got B+'s on the midterm and final, an A on the workbook, but because I did not participate in the 250 person class, I got a C . . . The final is ALL workbook questions; memorize these and you'll pass. Not recommended
This teacher is HORRIBLE! He misses about 2 weeks of class on top of furloughs. He expects participation in a class of 200. I managed to get an A because I memorized the material & thanks to "god" he believed I had participated. If not I would've gotten a B even though I had As on both my midterm and final. Expects a lot of reading but dont do it.
I am a regular church goer, and i know my religion. yet, I learned a lot about my religion from this non-christian professor. I think he is the best in the department.
Horrible professor. Horrible class. I took world religions in high school and loved it, and this class totally killed it for me. His tests are easy because they are on all of the workbook questions, but if you actually are interested in learning something, take somebody else because you won't learn a damn thing in this class with him.
I came into this class after reading these ratings, thinking it would be super hard. It is hard, and the work is time consuming, but if you do the work, you can get an A. He expects participation in a class of 200. I asked maybe three questions, got an A on the workbook, & B on the midterm & final & got an A in the class. Its not bad & he's funny:)
AMAZING COURSE. take it!
One of the coolest professors at state. All tests and quizzes were online, just make sure to go to class so you can hand in your workbook if your name gets called, and make SURE to respond on the discussion board, it killed a lot of us. Super funny most of the time, he likes people to participate so speak up and you'll most likelyget a good grade.
the class is actually easy. just show up to class. take notes. pay attention. all the quizzes and tests were online. very easy. do your workbook. be in class to turn it in. and participate in class and online. i only got a B because i didnt participate much.
very chill guy, relatively easy class. he is BIG on participation, yes, even in a 200+ person class. do your workbook, go to class to turn it in and ask a question every now and then, and you should be able to get an A in the class. quizzes, midterm and final are all online, make sure you have GOOD internet connection when you do them. PARTICIPATE!
if you participate weekly on the discussion board he'll love you participation is his thing. i got a B. i did awful on my workbook and average on tests but got a B because of participation I did, which wasnt hard it was on facebook lol :)
This guy is hilarious and incredibly intelligent. His class is rather easy as everything is online. He grades hard on papers because he believes any opinions are invalid if you're not a scholar on religion. I would say he's a little pretentious. Overall cool class though.
It's nice that his quizes are all online, but they aren't a walk in the park. A lot of the stuff on the quizes does not come straight from the book, but is covered in lecture. He gets frustrated when students do not participate, so it is wise to do the readings ahead of time and at least try and ask one question per class. He's kinda funny too.
This prof was funny at first, but impossible to work with. Went to every class, which was pointless because tests were online and straight from workbook. It was an easy class, but this man was annoying and very rude to students towards the end of the class. He also didnt stick to syllabus. Take if you want an easy A and cant find another professor
I took the online summer class and got more than 98%. Test and quizzes were easy, and you just need to participate in the discussion board every week. If you actually read and participate you'll learn a lot about how narrow minded you were.
Do not take this professor! I do not know how he has such a good rating but he is rude and does nothing but insult students. He does not know how to teach and expects you to teach it to your self. Lots of reading, 8 essays, tons of quizzes, and 3 or 4 tests. Horrible!! do not take!
SUPER HELPFUL PROFESSOR, knows his subject very well and is very insightful! Super easy class, you should attend to every lecture and you will not get less than a "B". You will be exposed to so many religious views that you will learn very much from this class! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PROFESSOR! One of the best professors on campus!
Dr. Mohammed is a great professor! His lectures get the point across and all his exams and quizzes are straight from the workbook, so you know exactly what to study! Attendance is mandatory. He also offers extra credit multiple times throughout the course. Easy A or B, even if your not interested in the subject.
I hated this class. I dreaded going to the mandatory classes every week. Discussion board is 20% of your grade and after doing every one on time, I got an 80% on it because "they didn't have sustenance." Mohammad is a self righteous prick who thinks everybody needs to be interested in the class. Do not take for an easy A.
TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU JUST WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR GPA BECAUSE IT IS VERY EASY!
The class is easy if you read the book and go to class. Mohammed is strict but funny in a weird way. He's a powerful speaker, knows his stuff, and overall I enjoyed attending lectures. However, make sure you sit up front AND ask questions or you won't get an A. I got a B even though I did well on the tests just because he didn't know my name.
Most boring class ever! Took it over the summer and it was a LOT of reading, and the most annoying thing was his requirement to post on the discussion board EVERY week!! You basically have to come up with something just so you can get your points for the discussion board. No matter how much you read you still struggle with the exams. Don't take him
This has got to be the boringest class at state, but the prof says some funny things during lecture. Dont try to ditch this class, attendance is mandatory. He randomly calls out names to collect workbooks on a daily basis. Quizzes are almost every week. pretty easy class though. all the quizzes and test come from the workbook.
Awesome teacher he understands the topic at the highest levels. Very educated in all the religions he teaches about very interesting class.
In the beginning he was a good professor, but his lectures grow to be useless as the sem wears on. He jumps from random topic to topic, rambles, doesn't stress any important info, or he'll begin a topic and say "you should know the rest if you read your book". It's an easy class but I hardly learned anything. Do the workbk, he collects it randomly.
I took this as an explorations and will always regret that I didn't take something else. He is very smart but his direction is unclear, his lectures are hard to follow, and his tests are difficult if you don't have prior knowledge (no prereqs). He assigns a research paper that experts grade, who are very strict. i got an f on that paper. crazy.
Has a very strong accent. I had a hard time understanding him. The material he lectures on doesn't show up on quizzes or tests, so don't take notes. Just read the book and answer the notebook questions. Most test questions are straight from the notebook. The rest are random from the book.
Took the online class over summer. His lectures are really boring and he has a thick accent. A lot of reading and a lot of his test questions are from the reading as well. Do the workbook assignments and post on the discussion board and you should receive a good grade though.
The professor was clear on what he required of the students as everything is mentioned in the syllabus. He knows that the textbook is detailed so as long as you take his advice to use the workbook as a guide you'll do fine. His accent wasn't that much of an issue when it comes to listening to the lectures. Easy class when you put effort into it.
I loved this class IT WAS SO EASY! He's hilarious and he makes the information easy to understand. Homework consisted of a workbook that was really easy because all of the answers are in the book. Make sure you do them because he randomly collects them and the quizzes, midterm, and final are all based on the workbook questions.
Dr.Mohammed's class was super easy. There's 5 quizzes (2 of which were online),a syllabus quiz, a midterm, a final and the workbook. WB is very easy, the TA's check it once and the majority of the quiz/exam questions are the WB questions. He offers many extra credit opportunities throughout the class. His accent is NOT a problem. Easy A class :D
this professor is unhelpful and made rude statmenets about different cultures. I talks down on other muslims though the class was relatively easy, but you may end up with a lower grade then u expect. He doesnt offer firm office hours for students
Very funny professor which made for an enjoyable class. There are several opportunities for extra credit throughout the semester that will help you a lot. Study the workbook for quizzes/midterm, that's where the majority of the questions come from (only a few from lecture and textbook) Sit in the front so he will get to know you- it helps!
I didnt really like this professor. I find him boring and sometimes rude. Takes attendance randomly and grading is not fare.
Super easy. Get the workbook! He calls for it once and if you don't have it you loose all the points for that category. He lets you drop one quiz grade. All his answers are online on quizlet. He threw in a couple random ones based off guest speakers. He offers extra credit but honestly I barely went and never used the book and got an A.
Easiest class ever! You'll definitely receive an A by just reading the book and answering all the questions on the workbook!!
Mohammed understands what he teaches and is happy to explain everything. He understands people think he is rude, but makes it clear that he respects everyone's beliefs. He's very funny. Do your workbook all in advance using quizlet and study it for tests. Very easy class.
His class was pretty easy. 4 quizzes, a workbook he checks once randomly, and then the final. If you take this class I suggest you study the workbook because most of the questions on the quizzes and final are taken from the workbook verbatim. Skim the readings, do the workbook, show up to class. Easy A.
This guy is hilarious. I didn't go a class without laughing. The assignments and quizzes are clear-cut and consistent. It's a little hard to understand all of the foreign language terms, but he's helpful and tries to make all of the lectures relatable and understandable. He's also great with being open minded, good for the department.
This is the easiest class I have ever taken. We had 4 quizzes and I got 100% on 3 of them. The one I didn't get 100% I got a 1920... Quizzes are the midterms. Answer all the workbook questions, he literally copies and paste 20 questions from the workbook onto his quiz.
As the other comments stated. 4 quizzes, 1 dropped, no midterms. Memorize the workbook questions and you'll ace those quizzes. His workbook assignments must be done weekly but only 12 students hand in their work book at the beginning of each lecture, that's because he calls on students randomly. which kind of frustrated me a little
Don't Waste your money on the book, you only need the WorkBook for this class answers can be found on quizlet site quizzes and exams questions are all included in the WB he don't take attendance but he gives "pop" writing in class assignments Great professor , love his teaching way
Textbook and mandatory workbook is written by professor.
If you want an easy A, this is the class to take! Not sure how his regular classes go, but the online course was a piece of cake. He copies the test questions straight from the workbook. You might have to do some reading to get the answers, but it's not bad since it's actually interesting material.
One of my favorite classes! He is hilarious and makes the course interesting. 4 quizzes and the workbook make up the grade and all of the questions from the quizzes are straight out of the workbook. Super easy if you fill out the workbook. Professor has no biased on religion and explains each from their own personal views. Take him!
Good professor for religious studies. He puts the information in a clear cut way and his grading is pretty generous. He is surprisingly funny and the quizzes and tests he had weren't too hard if you read.
Super easy class. Every quiz and the final is based off the questions in the workbook so make sure you do those. All the answers to those questions are on quizlet as well. Doesn't take attendance but he calls workbooks randomly so make sure you're there for that. Random in-class writing quiz. Offers a lot of extra credit. Really enjoyable class.
Such a boring class. Long lectures with zero class interaction whatsoever. Quizzes are on so many irrelevant vocabulary terms that erased from my memory after the quiz. I dreaded going to this class so much, and I regret taking it. You can get a good grade if you do workbook and study, but he's a professor not worth taking.
K Money is the greatest professor to bless Religious Studies at SDSU. He is an unbiased master of the three Abrahamic texts and knows how to explain the chronological link between them to show how much there is in common, as well as disproving attempts to misinform the public. Class usually got intense and you really never knew what to expect.
He is an objective professor which I appreciated. He is very knowledgeable and he really tries to make sure everyone understands the material. He appears to be strict or rude, but he is a decent guy and he just wants students to respect him. Easy A. 4 quizzes copied and pasted from the workbook. Go to class since he randomly checks workbooks.
This guy was great. His lectures I actually wanted to go to most days. The class is test heavy, but all of the test questions are from the workbook. All of the workbook questions are on quizlet. So essentially the test is on quizlet. Essentially the test is on quizlet. There is extra credit too. Just don't have your phone out in class. Great class!
Boring
The only reason you should go to class is because he does random workbook checks. Other than that, all you need is the textbook. All I did was read the textbook, take notes on it and complete the workbook and I passed each exam with an A. He's pretty funny and silly. easy tests throughout the semester.
Professor Mohammed is a great guy and the class is very easy. All you need to do is stay on top of your workbook and study for the quizzes. Both the 4 quizzes and the final are questions taken directly from the workbook. If anyone is giving him a poor rating, it's probably the people who sat in the back and talked while he lectured.
Four quizzes (most questions from workbook) all semester and non-cumulative final. Funny professor until students ask for extra credit which annoys him. Extra credit given when you answer a question in class (hard because 250+ students in class). Randomly collects workbooks so stay up to date. Random in-class writing assign (3 all semester).
Professor Mohammed is the best professor I have ever taken. He always makes his students laugh while teaching them vital info. Attending class isn't required but is recommended because a lot of quiz questions are straight from his PowerPoints. Grades based on 4 quizzes, some class participation and a final. Quiz questions from lecture and workbook
As long as you show up for class, listen, and read the book you will get an A
This class was an easy A. The homework was very little effort (less than an hour a week) and tests were simple 20 question MC with mostly just vocab, although he only does random homework checks for points and attendance, so you don't have to show up depending on how lucky you are. Good class, good prof.
Inspiring professor. Amazing
This class is pretty easy. I wouldn't suggest buying the textbook because all the questions from the quizzes come from the workbook. All the answers to the workbook are on quizlet. There's 4 quizzes and random workbook checks. The class is an easy A but just make sure not to tell him your name or else he'll call on you for the rest of the semester
Class is mandatory because he does workbook checks, but some people just leave after he displays the screen of all the names. The tests are basically all questions from the workbook, so just memorize that and you're good. He's funny, but lectures a lot. Pretty easy A as long as you skim read and understand the workbook.
He have an enjoyable lecture and always makes the material relatable.
He spends 30-40% of the time ranting about people using phones and laptops during his lectures. There are 4 quizzes in the class and he drops the lowest. Also does random workbook checks (everything is on quizlet) and short writings which are essential to your grade. Quizzes and final are directly from the workbook :) p.s dont tell him your name.
this class is easy as long as u finish the workbook assignments. the tests are just questions from the workbook. dont buy the textbook (i barely used it and i got an A in the end). hes funny and he only seems rude if ur being disrespectful to the class. overall easy ge class!!!!
The textbook was an easy read and all the answers to his workbook are on quizlet. He will randomly select workbooks to collect so make sure your there in case you get picked or you will get a zero. For his test just study the multiple choice in the work book, only a few questions from the lectures. Occasional in class points for short questions
I studied a lot for each test and got a's. study the workbook because most test questions are directly from it! he goes off on random tangents and honestly is a bad teacher but it's bearable. sit in the front if you want an a, if he doesn't know your name at the end of the semester you won't get an a (he notes names of people who ask Qs)
He's a really cool guy who likes to relate to his students by making jokes and learning their names. Ask questions so he knows who you are, but I didn't and still got an A. He found out his quizzes were on quizlet so he changed them up (which was annoying) but it's literally all in the textbook and the workbooks.
I took his Summer Online class and it was super easy. 60% for exams and 40% for assignments. Didnt even read the book, all you need to study for exams are the questions from the workbook. All the workbook answers are on Quizlet. Assignments are easy, just look em up because he only checks if you did it or not. TBH learned nothing
Professor Mohammed is an excellent teacher. Weekly homework but he only checks a certain amount of students work at random to make sure you are doing it. Lectures are long and boring but contain test questions. Attendance is mandatory. Boring class, easy A if you show up and do the work (read too!).
This class feels like a waste of time, his lectures stray from the course material and he wastes a lot of class going over policies and special situations that only apply to one or two students. He seems organized in the syllabus but he is usually inconsistent and hypocritical. You can get by without reading the book but still study for tests.
This professor randomly checks student workbooks, so attendance is important. However, many students will show up and if they don't see their name on the workbook list, they'll leave. Textbook is fairly useless, as he doesn't teach from it. Half the tests are online, there is barely any homework, and he takes up class time to single out students.
His large classes draw students with various attitudes. Chances are that those dissing him are the ones who have been called out for talking and distracting while he is lecturing. He has strict policies about not talking. This helps those of us who go to school to actually learn something.
I really liked this class. It helps you learn about almost every major world religion. Professor Mohammed is very open-minded and does not tolerate anything less from his students. Always always complete the readings and the workbook as he grades at random. tests are easy, just make sure you study. He is fairly strict, but a good professor.
Super chill class. Just do your workbook (Quizlet) and study it for the test. The test is 90% questions from the workbook. I studied the workbook the night before every test and got an A. Don't buy the textbook. He's a laid back dude.
easy teacher (you just have to go to majority classes and hope you have good luck bc he does random participation assignments). easy quizzes if u study a little bit. lectures are boring bc he goes off on random tandums and speaks arabic to his foreign students (which i cant understand). he tries to be funny but isnt that funny and it gets weird
Prof Mohammed's class is pretty easy. Most of the questions from the quizzes come from the workbook. He definitely knows his stuff and makes lots of jokes during lectures, those sometimes they can get a bit boring. Only certain people get their books checked each day, so you have to go to class. Book isn't mandatory but it does help when studying.
Get to know him and you will do well! Sit in the front, ask questions and go to office hours at least once so he can put a name to your face (he will raise your grade at the end if he thinks you participated) Its not too hard if you show up and do the work books. He's pretty funny but the lectures are boring. Study the workbook for quizzes!!
He tries to be funny but its usually just creepy or weird. This class is very little work but is so boring its barely worth it. Also, 75% of the grade is tests and you either get a form that looks exactly like the workbook and its an easy A, or your form is minute questions that he probably wouldn't even know and you're screwed. So yeah, good luck.
Boring lectures. Collects workbooks every class at random, but if your name isn't on the board you can just leave. All his lectures are recorded. All quiz questions are from the workbook, textbook and lectures, so take good notes. Would not recommend.
Nice Professor, obviously passionate about religious studies. The tests are relatively easy but some weird questions on the quizzes. Mandatory workbook collected at random, making attendance necessary. The lectures are generally pretty boring but not too bad for an easy GE.
Professor Mohammed was pretty good. He had a very open mind and taught the class from the eyes of each religion, not emphasizing any rumors or bad things about them and just taught the basics of their belief system, nothing less, nothing more which was great. There are random workbook checks so you must attend class because you'll get called 2-3 x.
Professor knows his content? yeah, but is horrible at delivering it. Waste of money on his textbook that has grammar and punctuation errors. You could probably sleep in class and still get a good grade. Gets mad for like 5 min if he sees you using your phone and takes away valuable class time. Overall, a whatever type of professor.
The professor knows his stuff and is unbiased. Yes, I expect him to know about world religions since that is his subject, but this guy can cite and interpret from all the different scriptures in a way that is amazing.
This professor taught us nothing. I did not learn anything significant in his class. He was also very rude when he would get back to you in e-mails after a day or two. Overall doesn't care about his students and I would never recommend him to anybody.
I learned so much about religion theory and how to apply it to the Qur'an. This professor does not let religious bias cloud his judgment...I learned a lot of terminology and how the Qur'an relates to the scriptures before it
Professor Mohammed has a great personality and sense of humor. There were quite a lot of quizzes but they weren't too hard and were short. Light homework. Highly recommend.
Mohammed is knowledgeable in his field but presents content in a somewhat disorganized way - I didn't quite learn as much as I expected. Grades are based on exams (mine were all online) and short questions about the textbook. Exam questions are the same as your homework questions - if you do the hw/read the textbook, the class will be super easy.
