Makes me want to come to class, even though it's at eight in the freekin' morning. :) also, when he shows them, he show's great, relevent movies ;)
He might be a very good teacher for me it was hard to understand some things he tought.
Good prof...but he needs to work out the homework answers before class so that he doesn't waste time on them during class.
Good Teacher... Great personality and sence of humor. Teaches very well makes it exciting. Could work on use of better class time.. i.e homework

Class gets boring after mid-terms. Plus he mumbles every time he forgets what he’s saying or doesn’t know the answer, but then he pretends that what he said was completely coherent.
Worst instructor on this campus. Can’t understand what he is saying half the time. For extra credit he has his whole class do his dirty work. If he wants to find out information about the senate, let him and not us do it. Just because his club didn’t get
WORST TEACHER ON CAMPUS. IF YOU NEED ECONOMICS, TAKE FENSKE, SHE IS MUCH MORE KIND AND ACTUALLY KNOWS THE STUFF WHEREAS "CRAPDALLA" DOESN'T KNOW HALF THE **** HE IS TEACHING. LET ALONE WE NEVER TALK ABOUT ANYTHING THAT'S ON THE TESTS!!!!!!!!!
Not a very good teacher. Very hard, got an okay grade but only because I studied my butt off. I did the most studying in his class then I have ever done. Didn't follow through with what he said, I participated, and I saw no extra credit. Picks on students
this teacher was worse than a headache because I had to pay to GET him! My money would've bewen better spent on beer, wishing I had an education. Buy the book and read it, it will save you time, money, and a bad grade.
THIS TEACHER WAS DIFFICULT BECAUSE HE MADE UP ASSIGNMENTS ON THE FLY AND THEY WERE NOT WELL PUT TOGETHER. THE TESTS SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE MADE UP THE NIGHT BEFORE AND WERE VERY INCONSISTANT.
I learned a lot. He makes you think. Good Teacher
Best teacher I had at SPSCC so far. He is one of the funniest people on campus. I am not sure where he gets his energy at 8 am. The course was challenging and fun.
Khalid knows how to make a tough subject interesting and funny. Great preps for the quizes or what he calls "quests" and plenty of extra credit opportunities. Take this class.
one cool teacher.
Outstanding teacher. Knows his stuff and will make you laugh early in the morning. The only class I ever liked at 8 in the freeking morning.
Good guy, great teacher, funny funny
I can barely contain myself. He makes economics so hot. You nasty man. You make my panties wet just thinking ahout econnomics. god i can't speel with one hand.
His class was so much fun and educational, he could relate to the students on a level of friendship and teaching.
His test questions often had nothing to do with the assignments, lectures or readings
like swimming though a sea of air, not much effort required
i hates him i thought he did not help at anything... and his tests had nothing to do with anything he taught
This teacher is very dry and his lectures only reiterate exactly what the book says. His examples only further confuse you. His sense of humor was horrible, no one laughed at his jokes. His tests were confusing and did not relate to the majority of the text covered.
not clear, tests are not actually related with his lectures
Interesting subject Teacher does a great job explaining the subject.
HORRIBLE teacher. Laughs at his own jokes. Never explains anything. If you say your confused, he just repeats what he already said before, which doesn't really help. His tests dont' relate to what he talks about in class at ALL. Desperately boring. NEVER take his classes EVER.
OMG the hardest class i have ever taken. Just barily passed with a C. Hard to follow his lectures, none of his lectures go with the tests. So glade I passed the first time around cuz a second time would of killed me....and kissing but dont work! been there tried that. If you have to take his class good luck and pray!!!!!

He is a pretty cool guy. The class wasn't very hard to pull a decent grade in considering I was half awake for most his classes and never had a book....I can see how some didn't think he was very clear, but he is always open to questions and participation.
clear, fair, funny... what more can you ask for? easy? no. but i learned so much i didn't know before. got killer looks too. HOT!
He knows his stuff. We had a good time everyday. I'm not sure where he gets his jokes from but he is really funny. I never thought econ could be funny??? The girls think he's good looking but I wouldn't know.
Awesome!:)
WHEN he decided to come to class he was extremely grumpy and unhelpful. His tests were totally out of the blue. i felt he was a jerk.
Wasn't impressed with him in the 101 class but 102 was much better, Grading structure is easy to succeed in. Research project is as easy as you want it to be. Do the research and you will succeed in this class.
Kinda funny but hard to learn from. Tests don't match lectures.
I thought he was clear and easy to learn from. the tests were not easy but if you attend class and complete the problems, the tests should be fine. the paper required research but not too bad. He is super funny. I plan to take 102 if that helps. Good luck.
Khalid is a cool guy and fun to be with in the classroom. He is one of the best teachers that I have had in my year at SPSCC so far.
He is very sarcastic and has a dry sense of humor. He is also very difficult to get answers out of. Face to face, I would have to ask him three different times, the same question. I do not think anyone who needs a sense of guidance should take him as a Prof. Half of the time he didn't know when major assignments were due.
I had khalid for both 102 and 101. I thought his class was very informative and I learned a lot from his teaching methods. Strongly recommend taking him.
Thought it was funny to make me confused. Never take his class!
Was very boring and not helpful. Half the time didn't even post question online and didn't show up to class. We would have to wait for 15 minutes and decide to leave. Last time I checked teachers usually call so the class knows if they have to stcik around.
easy to get a "B" in this class.
I would take another class.
i'm taking his other class.
I don't think he reads our online posts. Often didn't answer questions or respond to posts. Lectures are pointless power points that often don't correspond to chapters given in assignments. tests are abstract. Doesn't explain concepts well. Practice questions often have mismatched answers. I felt like I was teaching myself!
I haven't learned a darn thing. I also don't think he reads our posts. His lectures have no substance. I get the distinct feeling that he does not take teaching very seriously. He doesn't care if we learn or not. The website does the work for him. It grades us. It counts our words. I would not take another class from him.
Wicked sense of humor. Online quizzes are easy. He drops one.
Thanks for the fun times. Econ was more fun than accounting.
Knows his you know what. He got jokes. a good thing. the topic is a little dry. He was clear and did not move on before asking. Grading was fair. online quizzes. 12 - 25 questions on the quiz.
Abdalla is a great teacher! He has a great understanding of his subject paired with this hillarious dry business humor and it's awesome! Tests are not too hard and most of the work is online at your own pace and you have like a week to do it! This is one hybrid class I would highly recommend!
This dude rocks..
I'm taking his class now and I like it. We are discussing the "meltdown" of the economy and I'm voting for him for President.
Very funny dude. All of my assignments were broken out on a weekly basis and posted online from day 1. The quizzes were online and he gave us 3 days to complete them and we can take them three times. No attendance requirement but had to participate every week online.
Lectures almost straight from the book. The best - and most challenging - part of this course is the online portion (it's a hybrid). He assigns current & major issues and you have to research them. I have a much, much better understanding of microecon after taking this class.
Good teacher and clear outline of class. Keep up on discussion posting and read the material.
Abdalla is sarcastic and rude. If you have a question he will likely insult you and try to make you look stupid. But he is clear and has 4 tests for 80% of your grade. It was hard not to call him out on is bs.
THIS GUY SUCKSSSSS! Never ever take his class! He is a complete flake! He gives false information that confuses the heck out of you. The hybrid classes are difficult because on his posting will say there is eleven questions, but then when you take the test, you realize that theres 24! and theres no time left. He makes stupid mistakes all the time.
He knows his stuff. You need to read the book. Tests are moderately hard. He uses scantrons. Make sure you fill in the right bubble. I missed a few pts b/c I had the right answr on the test but not the scantron. Half the time he would waste all the class time debating w/ this radical kid about communistic econ theory.
I was always afraid of economics and heard it was boring. Abdalla made it fun. I had a hard time with the graphs but he helped me work through them during and after class. Very nice guy.
What a horrible teacher! Test are a joke...You can have the correct answer and show him proof, but he refuses to budge. He will not return emails or phone calls. Stay away from him at all costs.
Abdalla is not worth your time. Unfortunately he's one of a few teachers at the school. He is inconsistent with his syllabus and does not answer logical questions. I took his hybrid class and had a hard time seeing him two days a week....
I took macro with Abdalla, and I have to say I am not impressed. He seems to display an utter lack of interest in his students' well-being and does not respect them enough to follow his course documents! His "lectures" if you can call them that, are vague and not worth your time!
He was rude and sarcastic. When questions were addressed he would laugh at it, and blame you for not doing the homework. Don't take him if you can help it.
NEVER EVER TAKE HIS CLASS, IT IS WASTING YOUR TIME, AND YOU WILL GET BAD GRADE ANYWAY. His test is just joke. He doens't even know what he is teaching. Some of the answer for the test is right, but you lose your point cuz of autograde. even if you protest this, he ignore you. RUDE AND SARCASTIC, never ask him anything
Very hard material to learn. I took this class online. He does not respond to emails, maybe if you are lucky a week later you will get a response but not an answer. If you do ask him something about your grade he will take it personal. set up is confusing and even though he tells you to go by the syllabus, he changes everything last minute.

Easily the worst teacher I've ever had. His expectations are unclear, he isn't willing to offer much assistance, but when he does, he treats you like dirt for asking. He frequently becomes visibly irate with the class for struggling with the learning material. He teaches straight from the book, but his tests cover material not found in the book.
With out a doubt, top 3 on the worst teachers I have ever had. The material is hard and his expections are extremly high. He changes this last minute, gives no grace, and worst of all will not reply to emails. He does not make himself availble to students at all.
I liked the discussion topics in class. I can speak about the financial crisis better than talking heads on TV. Thanks khalid.
Best class I had in college. The teacher tries to get people involved in the discussion. He has a dry sense of humor and doesn't like it when you shuffle in late. He was very helpful when I went to his office hours after class.
Very rude and sarcastic man. Dont ask him a question because he will just say you should of done the homework even if you already did. Going to class is basically pointless because he just summarizes the text book. He likes to lecture students about doing their homework A LOT. Hes a rude and horrible teacher.
This dude rocks. he's funny but he has High expectations. Test questions are similar to HW problems. extremely helpful in his office. doesn't like late arrivals to class and doesn't like when you don't do your hw.
good tacher
Do not take this class. He will never respond to your emails. He teaches the material after all of your assignments are due. The quizzes are pretty easy, mainly your homework questions all mixed up. You never need to go to class because he will never know who you are. Just attend the first week. Class discussions are always off topic for 20 minutes
By far the worst teacher I have ever had. The class is not easy and what little time was spent in class did not help with the complicated graphing. If you cannot learn it on your own do not take this class. Teacher is rude and would obviously rather be doing something else. I recieved an A but only because I worked my butt off.Stay away.
I had this professor for Macro Economics. The class was hybrid and the material in the online textbook did not seem to match the ambiguous questions on the quizzes and homework. The graphs were very confusing and he did not explain them very well. The powerpoints did not explain anything either and were just a definitions from the book.
Nice professor, he will challenge you to see if you know so study before you go to class. His homework and quizzes are tricky so read them twice. I was worried about this class because of reviews but he is very helpful. He has a sense of humor too!
Worthless instructor! All HW and Tests are through Angel, dont waste your time going to class, use that time to do HW.Quiz questions are same as homework in different order.
Abdalla is a very informative econ professor. He makes the class interesting and he is smart and has a great smile. If you do your homework you will do well is this class. Homework is tied in with the quizzes.
Great professor. One of the best. Extremely intelligent and easy to follow. The material is hard but Abdalla is very helpful. He wont be happy if you don't show up, but as long as you are attentive in class and read the book you will do fine.
Khalid is a great instructor! You will get out of his classes what you are willing to give. Be present, attentive, and ask questions. If you have a question, you only need to ask Khalid or ask to meet him at his office. If you attend class, do the assignments, and participate in class you will do fine.
Khalid for president. :) Dude knows his stuff. I did not expect this quality in a community college class. who thunk it?
I found Microeconomics to be a very challenging subject to comprehend and I felt like we went through the material way too fast. But the good thing is that if you pay attention in class and read the chapters, you can do well on the homework and then the tests are pretty much exactly like the homework questions.
this class was easy and khalid was too funny, dude.
He wrote the book we were assigned, and also had power points to go with it. They constantly contradicted each other, and when you asked about it he never responded. I also found simple math errors throughout the book and slides, but I stopped asking about them because he didn't care. The class was hard because of the teacher, not subject.
The teacher was useless. He never responded to e-mails. He offered extra credit, which I took advantage of, and it was a waste of time since he never gave credit for it. Horrible teacher, I got an A- in the class and still have nothing good to say about the teacher or class.
I took econ 1 & 2 with Khalid back in 2010-2011...anyway he is super funny and smart aaand kinda hot in my opinion, but do not show up late to class I did a lot haha he started locking me out! My bad. He can be mean, so don't push him, but for the most part he is EXTREMELY fair. The course work is super easy, the text book can get a little boring
The class was cool.. a one day hybrid so it's pretty much an online class. the lectures were good and he can be really funny. the book was easy to understand. the hw was similar to the quizes. eight hws and 3 quizes. no final. how cool is that.
The class was organized. One assignment every week. I had to read two chapters every week except for the last week we had 3 chapters to read. the tests were multiple choice and we had 5 extra credit assignments... oh and two discussions.
Abdalla is a great professor, you just have to show you care about the class.
Perfect structure for an online course for someone who self teaches easily and with option to work ahead which is rare and appreciated! He provides all the material and information needed in order to succeed and responds very quickly to any questions. Great online course and the content was much more interesting that anticipated.
He is very funny and his laugh will make you smile. Lectures are long and boring. You are only graded on the quizzes you take online at home. Almost all questions are found in the book or online. Unless you don't try to pass the quizzes you should be fine. I wouldn't take this class unless you had to personally. He does offer extra credit in class.
Never been so tempted to leave a review for even the most fantastic of professors I've had before. Constantly unorganized, makes you feel awful for being even a few minutes late. Will respond to your emails as long as you don't mind waiting a few days and basically incriminates you for having obligations outside of the class.
I took this as an online class. The entire class is just a bunch of quizzes. Every day of the week you have 1 or 2 quizzes to do based on chapters out of the book. Questions can be confusing sometimes and are worth your entire grade. Gave out ONE extra credit assignment. I would not recommended taking this class unless you really need to.
Every week you're assigned a homework set between 20-60 questions, and tests every other week. All the answers are in the book and found online, basically if you aren't a lazy turd you get a free A. Additionally he gives up to 5% extra credit, so you can bump up an entire letter grade if you participate.
Nicest guy ever. Great teacher. Easy to understand. But seriously, he's just the coolest guy.
If you have the option to take another professor, take the other one. The lectures are useless. The online quizzes are due before the lecture, so even if you take the hybrid class, you still have to self-teach. You can google the answers and get an A, but if you want a professor to "teach" get somebody else. He has a very La-ze-faire attitude...
I was surprised at how little, if any, of the teacher's material made it to Canvas. We did HW from the book, took quizzes based off of the book, and reviewed "lecture notes" that were straight from the book. Prof did not participate in discussions and didn't respond for a few days for Qs sometimes. Videos are from YouTube, from other professors.
The majority of the class is quizzes. Not a very interactive professor, he would occasionally post youtube videos in place of lecture. Barely used the textbook. Overall, a very quiz-heavy class without much interactive learning.
I took this class as a hybrid so partially online and partially lecture in class. Honestly you don't even need to show up for class he doesn't grade on attendance and everything is online. Lots of homework that is pretty hard and your grade is all homework and quiz's. There are a few extra credit opportunities. Class was eh
Loved Khalid. He's the nicest, coolest guy. Made econ almost fun. I'd recommend him to anyone.
Easiest professor youll ever have...
Good choice for the student who likes to work at their own pace and doesn't mind figuring out somethings on their own. Class grade is all quizzes, few assignments and one extra credit opportunity.
The economics professors are not that great here. If you are required to take this class, take the other teacher. Everything is self-taught and time consuming for students with no background in economics. You are better off learning from khan Academy than him.
Hes a nice, approachable guy. I'll be taking his online class next quarter since all of his quizzes are on canvas. No finals and hw are not graded. I recommend doing the hw on every chapter to grasp the concepts. Great class if you're good at self-teaching.
Basically a self-teach class like college should be. The book is easy to understand. I recommend taking macro before micro (lots of graphs and more math involved). There is assigned hw once a week (30-60 questions). 3 timed quizzes. no final. You're going to do fine if you read the book.
Do the work and you will pass. Don't need to show up to class.
Well organized and responsive.
This class is all test and quizzes and really does not take much time out of the week. The power points he gives helps, but the sample quizzes in the books are really useful on the quizzes. Most of the homework and tests are on quizlet. Class is easy but this professor literally adds nothing to this class. Easy A so you can't complain.
Get ready to teach yourself macro. The teacher just lectures from the book, so theres no point coming to class. There are 3 timed quizzes, which you hardly have time to finish and weekly hw. Take the other teacher.
Don't take this class if you're majoring in business. Macro is a foundation course for your major classes and I didn't learn squat in this class. Pretty much I was winging this course. smh
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! If you are normally an A student, except atleast a C, with far greater stress and less to show for it. The class online is structured so you take a test about 4-5 times a week. They are short tests but nothing is consistent. Between the book and online files you will not get enough information and be forced to google it.
I know I'm not stupid, but I have no idea what's going on. Pretty much relying on Khan academy.
TAKE THIS CLASS! Yes, there are 3-4 quizzes a week varying from 3-10 questions, but they are NOT times and all the answers are on quizlet. Easiest class ever. Don't bother buying the textbook. Complete the course ahead on your own time as long as you get things done on time. Extra credit is the best. Got 101%. The teacher isn't involved much tho
The class is graded entirely on cookie-cutter online quizzes, with all the answers easily found on quizlet/chegg, His lecture material does not even match the quiz material of the week. Easy A, but it is hard to recommend this instructor.
It's not easy to understand the content from the documents that he posted. There is no final exam.
I thought this professor did a great job teaching this class, the pace was quick but I appreciated the opportunities for extra credit, and the easy going vibe. Enjoyed this class!
The class was made of about 50 quizzes that were only about 10 questions with no time limit and they were easy and usually directly from the textbook. You couldn't open the next quiz until you finished the previous one. It was nice pacing and there was no final. The extra credit goes a long way. I also never had to talk to the professor
Online class is self-taught w/out much interaction. Don't skip the extra credit, it's weighted heavily. Take practice tests at the end of the chapter, and check your work with the answer key, they will be on the test verbatim. Tests will sometimes disagree with book test answers, and are sometimes over material not covered yet. T/F q's are tricky.
Do not take this class if you want to learn economics. The entire class is made up of stolen online quizzes with answers that are impossible to find in the expensive textbook. Prof provides little to no resources, no feedback, and it's impossible to get 100% on a quiz as answers contradict each other. Clearly, this professor couldn't care less.
I learned everything I needed to learn through Khan Academy and reading the text book. I could barely get the professor to answer any questions. Was rude and patronizing over email. Quizzes often asked questions that wasn't provided. Answers often disagreed with the text.
Generally, every day I read one section of one chapter (about 4 pages) and then took a quiz on it. The number of pages to read and number of questions on the quiz would vary. But that's the class for the entire year, no midterms or finals. He doesn't lecture, give feedback, or talk to you but if you like textbooks the class is really fun.
Honestly, if you want an A, this is a great choice. This course is about 59 quizzes, no hw, no tests, and 10% extra credit. If you use chegg and quizlet then I'm sure you will get A or A-. However, the professor doesn't teach anything, and he won't reply to students' emails. So please consider carefully before joining this course.
I have never had a worse class. Most of the 5 stars are from 2011. The entire class is purely quizzes, about 5-7 per week. There are no lectures just textbook, powerpoints, and khan academy, and most of the time it didn't match the quiz. The teacher doesn't teach anything, I took this class last year since there are NO OTHER Econ teachers.
I will never take another lass by him or in econ again. I want to go into business and this scarred me. Just textbook and quizzes, no contact or anything. Was inaccessible and khan academy taught me everything. I still can not tell you a single thing I learned. For ref, I am an A student and this class destroyed my gpa. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF!
Without a doubt the worst teacher I have had at this school so far. Asinine class structure, totally unreachable and unhelpful, some of the worst slide shows that are the only resource he provides outside of the textbook, and just a horrible teacher overall. This class is comprised of 0 assignments, 0 tests, 0 projects, and 59 quizzes. AVOID KHALID
His class is okay, if you know how to self-taught.
Worse professor, doesn't even teach. You just get a poor slideshow and some reading material. The homework is just quizzes almost everyday so you don't even have time to study material. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
Almost impossible to contact, which is unacceptable for an online class. Sometimes his website links, especially his contact information, and some of the required videos to watch, are broken. I didn't know that I needed a book (or even which book to get) until I actually attended the first day online. I had to contact the Econ dean to contact him.
YOU WILL NEED THE TEXTBOOK you are assigned 5 chapters a week, there are provided powerpoints but doesn't cover all/enough of what's in the book. He does not respond consistently, or provide thoughtful feedback. You do not interact with him at all. You are graded on 11 assignments some are timed. He is unfortunately the only econ teacher at SPSCC.
This class is essentially a series of easy online quizzes. Use resources like Quizlet and Chegg, and you're set for an A. The professor doesn't lecture much, but the material is straightforward. unstuck AI can also be a helpful study tool alongside these resources.
Awful professor, the worst I've had so far in the several years of college I have. SPSCC needs to find another professor to teach economics. All this professor does is have automated quizzes that they seem to just be pulling from some common source.
Mixed opinion. His class wasn't too difficult, but after two weeks, only about 6 of us showed up regularly. He doesn't exactly teach, and always seemed to be behind where we were in the course. Was funny to talk to though, but I do wish SPSCC offered someone who taught the material better for students planning to major in Business fields.
The class isn't necessarily difficult. If you've taken any survey classes it's kind of similar in that you learn material from the textbook (about 3 chap/week) and take an online quiz (1 attempt here). The math used in the class is minimal. Take notes on the graphs and Econ concepts/math. Xtra credit exists -> check module due date prior for it.
Solid professor. Don't expect much, it is very much you learning on your own. So if that is not your thing, I would not recommend. Graded on a single quiz per week, with two extra credit opportunities available. Not awful but nothing fantastic
