She is the worst!! Absolutely terrible! Doesnt care about students. She has a degree in engineering. She makes ALOT of mistakes and doesnt take responsibility for it and frankly, she doesnt care. She gets corrected all the time by students. She goes at her own pace and doesnt explain anything and expects you to understand it. Beware of her!
She always seem prepared in class and address students' concerns with patience. She is approachable outside of the classroom to answer any problem that you might have. Looking forward to taking more classes with her.
she cares alot about her students and will explain any question in detail during class. i rarely paid attention but she puts everything you need to know onto elearning so just read the handouts, do some practice problems, and that's it. class overall is a but boring but she tries to make it entertaining. 3 exams total and a few quizzes
She describes solutions step-by-step and outlines "different question types," which makes tests really simple if you understand all the practice problems. She also provides super helpful formula sheets that save you from stressing about memorizing formulas. Overall, great professor and even more effective one on one!
She was a great teacher. Would answer any questions that people had. There were 3 exams total and 8 quizzes, but she dropped the lowest 2 quizzes. She is open to feedback so don't feel bad asking for help.
The subject matter is not easy but she is good at explaining the material, will adjust the lecture pace and answer any questions in order to help. If you attend class, pay attention to the lecture, do the practice problems and study you will pass. I would definitely take her again for this class or any other that she teaches
Formula sheet given. Slow pace makes lectures easy to understand but boring at times. Explains things well with plenty of practice problems, outlines types of problems you'll see on the test. No hw, no textbook, just quizzes and exams.
Great professor especially considering I took her in her first semester teaching. made the class easy and she's very patient. made sure everyone understood the materials before quizzes and the exam.
Unless you're naturally good at math, I would suggest taking someone else. She spends most of the class time reading from her lecture notes, instead of showing you how to work problems. This makes it hard to do her quizzes and tests since she doesn't work enough problems. No graphing calculators allowed on her exams, simple only.
The first half of the course is math heavy! No homework. Only quizzes and exams (no comprehensive). I did not need the book. There are packets uploaded to elearning that contain everything. I chose not to bring those to class because I prefer writing things down than following along. There are curves but do not rely on them, actually try your best.
The class material is not the easiest but she explains all the examples. She provides all the formulas for the quizzes and tests. She's new to teaching but very open to feedback. Would take her again.
She goes fast in the lectures but if you study the notes and her examples then youll be okay. It takes a lot of practice to do well in this class. Exams are multiple choice. Shell drop the 2 lowest quiz grades. The vocabulary on the test might be the most difficult part.
Drops the 2 lowest quiz scores, and curves the tests by a few points occasionally. She provides packets to print and fill out during the lectures, I thought they were really helpful. Like everyone else said the first half is algebra heavy and the second half is excel heavy. I think she explains things well and will be taking her for other classes!
She is a sweet person but is sometimes hard to understand granted if you want to succeed in this class you have to learn the material thoroughly on your own because class doesn't really help. She does curve some tests and drops quizzes. If you learn more outside of class anyways she should be a fine choice. If you rely on lectures then this aint it
She is a great professor. I would take her class again if I could. The lecture is very important, pay attention and you'll pass. The exams were difficult but not too bad if you reviewed the material. I did pretty well on all my exams. She is also very willing to help her students with any questions. I would recommend taking her.
She was a great professor. Math is not my strong suit, but I made it out with a decent grade after minimal amount of home study. She shows you step by step how to solve problems and answers any and all questions thoroughly. For exams and quizzes, she allows cheat sheets. Go to class everyday, pay attention and you'll pass.
Great professor! Very caring and smart. definitely an expert in her field.
You must pay attention in class. She goes very fast and her accent is thick. sit at the front and don't get distracted even for a second. 3 exams-25% each and 7 quizzes. drops the two lowest. YOU MUST STUDY AND BE FAMILIAR WITH CONCEPTS. she lets you write a formula and definition sheet for all exams and quizzes and use excel. I know others dont.
She is not great at explaining the material and she doesnt really care if her students learn the material or not. She goes fast and keeps going when clearly no one is understanding anything. The quizzes and exams are EXTREMELY hard even if you study. Also the quizzes and exams arent even from her lectures. Get ready to teach yourself or fail
Professor Ahadi is an expert in her field. She is a great professor, explains the material very well. 3 total exams and 7 quizzes, she drops the lowest 2.
3 exams noncumulative and 7 quizzes. Its true she can be a bit fast in class but she is willing to explain concepts over and over again if you ask her to. If you go to her office hours and ask questions, she will help you. If you understand the concepts, it is an easy A. Ppl complaining literally didn't go to her office hours and ask questions.
Best professor I've ever had.
She is literally one of the best professors at UTD. She really cares about her students being successful as well making sure we understand the topics. She goes over the pre printed notes in class and the examples on the notes are basically what the exam is.
Very Good Professor. Teaches well. She will repeat the concept if asked by any student. She makes students understand the concepts thoroughly by helping us solve text book problems in the class. Total 3 exams of 90% weightage and Total 3 in-home quizzes of combined 10% weightage. You have to work hard for your 'A' .
It was an amazing experience course for me. statistics and math are not my favorite topics to study and it was my first statistic course experience. She was prepared for the class and gave us a great handout. She was available even after the class and answered all the students question. I really suggest Professor Kathy class for you.
I never to rate my professors, but this professor is the most unprofessional person Ive ever met. She has no accountability for any of her errors. If you are thinking of taking her class dont.
For one, she can't speak english very well so it's difficult to understand what she is saying. Two, she makes A LOT of mistakes as she's teaching which makes the lectures so confusing. Biggest thing! Her exams and quizzes are NOTHING like the review. You might understand the material during class but the quiz and the exams won't be similar AT ALL!!
She is the nicest professor I have ever met. Lectures are clear and to the point, and exams are also straightforward. There are no tricks: you learn, you get tested on the learning material, and you succeed. If you want to learn about Business Analytics this is the class you want.
This class is challenging and useful in any business environment. The professor is highly knowledgeable, respected, caring, shares information quickly, and has clear grading criteria. I really enjoyed the class and I learned a lot in a short amount of time. She gives detailed feedback and is always available when you need her.
Amazing professor with good teaching skills. She truly cares about her students. I enjoyed taking this course and recommend you guys the same.
Professor Katie is one of the best professors that I have had ever at UTD. She is so nice and helpful. Easy going and interesting lectures which if you read carefully them two or three times, and go over the practice problems she solves in the class you will get an A on exams.
You are graded on 6 things, 3 exams and 3 quizzes. No assignments which make it harder to learn the material. She uses HONORLOCK for exams. 3 hour long lectures with heavy material to learn. I would not recommend.
People hate her for honorlock but during lecture she is the most patient professor. If you ask repetitive questions, she still answers them and takes the time to go back to chapters from the last exam to help you. It's a hard class so you have to work hard, but this professor is more than happy to help you.
Does a poor job of explaining topics to the student body. I would highly recommend getting a different professor.
Okay, I never rated anyone. she is amazing professor. She take her time to teach you everything step by step. She reply email timely manner. She will MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE LESSON BEFORE SHE MOVE ON. She make math interesting. Watch her class video and follow her instructions and you will pass. She use HONORLOCK but exam are open note.
Super sweet professor. There are 3 quizzes and 3 tests. She tries her best to help her students understand the topic, and will always ask if there are any questions. She goes a little fast. She explains topics very straightforward, you just need to know how to apply equations correctly. Overall great professor
She is an amazing professor. I took her for statistics for my Fall sem. She doesn't give any homework and only give practice questions from book. 3 at home quizzes and 3 honor lock based Exams are there. It is easy to get 'A' in her subject if you go through her lectures. Listen carefully to her lecture and 'A' is an easy catch!
I'm terrible at math and did terrible in this class. You really need to put in effort. GO TO THE LECTURES. Yes, they're boring, but all math is. I didn't figure this out until it was too late. I got INSANLY lucky with her generous end of semester curve (this was COVID, don't expect it again). I think I would take her again -- GO TO LECTURES!
She is a very good professor but her exams have nothing to do with what she teaches in class. There are three quizzes and three tests in the semester which is not enough for our grade. She wouldn't give me a few more points just to make my C a B. I don't recommend her, lol.
Prof. Ahadi is really nice and overall I found her to be a good lecturer. Sometimes she misunderstands students' questions but she always does her best to explain concepts clearly. The tests and quizzes are difficult but fair. No homework, just suggested practice problems which really help with doing well on the tests/quizzes.
I highly recommend this professor. She teaches and explains the material very well. If a student doesn't understand something, she will take the time to explain it again. She is lovely and doesn't put a lot of pressure on the students. No homework, just three exams, and three quizzes. My favorite professor so far at UTD.
Professor Khatereh is super good at what she does! her lectures are super engaging and you will definitely have fun in the class when she is teaching. She is super concerned with participation, which is a good thing, but at times, it detracts from the point of the lecture and we have to carry on in the next class. My bet is the take it with her!
I took OPRE 3333 under her. The class is easy as long as you pay attention to lectures/lecture notes, do some practice problems before tests, and double check your work on tests.
She is awesome I love her. Super kind and caring and provides very good and detailed notes. The first test is hard but the rest are fine. Listen in class and you should be good.
Great teacher, barely gives out homework and tests are very easy and very similar to the homework take her!
The material is very simple and easy to understand and on top of that she does a great job of explaining everything in lectures. The tests were all open notes and she even provides her filled-out lecture notes for you so there really is little reason to not do well. You don't even have to try that hard to get an A+ really.
Although this class does get much harder after the first exam professor Ahadi, does a great job with explaining the material. You can tell she really wants her students to know the material, her lectures are thorough and she is very good at explaining questions that students have. Tests are open-note and pretty easy if you watch her lectures.
This was a wonderful class! The professor made sure that students understood everything and the lectures weren't hard to understand at all. There really wasn't much work outside the classes just one HW assignment every 2 weeks and 3 tests. Really easy tbh.
Amazing professor, she explained everything so well that I was able to understand it really quickly. The homework is similar to the test and she gives an extremely good exam review before each exam. Take the calls with her if you can!!
Yes she is nice but not the best professor. The material she uploads ALWAYS has mistakes. Several students have called her on this and she blames the TA or the fact that it doesn't make a big difference. As the professor, it's her responsibility to ensure her uploaded material is accurate and not waste students time. Hardly responds to emails.
I really enjoyed taking this course with Professor Ahadi. Test and homework questions came directly from the lectures (didn't need the textbook). Her lectures were actually interesting and she made sure to answer any questions anyone had. I highly recommend taking her class.
Katie was such a sweet professor. She is lenient with extending deadlines if you email her in advance. Her lectures are fun and she always repeats the content in case someone does not understand. One of the best professors I have taken at UTD.
She's a great teacher if I'm being honest but I wouldn't take her. I understood everything she taught in class but somehow found it hard to get an A. The thing is she makes the exam options too tricky and similar and because the course is formula based, 0.999 could be a different answer from 0.997. You'll learn in her class but you may not get an A
She's a great teacher. But getting an A in her class is quite difficult.
She is empathetic and is an excellent teacher. She prepares lecture notes and delivers them very clearly. If you want to have a conceptual clarity on Advance Stats -she is the best choice! She cares for her students and explains as many times as asked in the class. Grading criteria is very clear ! She curves at end as needed. You'll learn R too :)
BUAN 6359-Test heavy professor. Should have strong analytical knowledge beforehand and revise the coursework thouroughly Curved in the end as many of them failed.
Prof. Ahadi is a very knowledgeable person. Her class is difficult to pass with an A, but she does indeed teach. She posts a video and notes which can be used to follow along. It's a lot of content and it is all needed at the exam times. Be ready for homework every single weekend, except exam weeks. Exams are on Honor Lock and open note :D
The class itself was not easy but Professor Ahadi is extremely nice and very lenient when grading assignments. She does curve grades if everyone didn't do too well. Would take her again!
She's so nice, she moved her exams from in person to online when most of us said we were out of town. Her lectures are detailed and tell you everything you need to know. She makes the exams open notes and gives a detailed review. She also gave really good extra credit. Will definenatly take her again.
Amazing Professor! She is very accommodating, and as long as you attend her lectures and ask questions, you should pass the class.
The best choice professor for OPRE 6301, especially if you are not strong with Stats. Taking any other professor in JSOM for OPRE 6301 with a poor stats background is the ultimate suicide against your ability to learn and forget a good grade. Prof. Ahadi is great in her explanations, and her exams are realistic, and in line with what she teaches.
Three exams and three quizzes. She teaches pretty fast but usually records the lectures so you can go through them after the lecture.
Almost done with the semester, heads up the class is super test heavy with 90% of your final grade being the 3 tests, the quizzes do a good job of checking if youre ready or not (3 quizzes for the other 10% of the grade) if you do good on the quizzes you will generally do well on the tests Lectures are recorded but go in if you have questions!
Very tough class. 3 quizes and 3 exams, both are 2 hours long. She barely explains the material but goes into solving problems. You will have to watch her lectures several times to understand material. Her slides are exact copies of the textbook. You have to work extremely hard to pass. She's very fast paced and 80% of the time you will be lost.
She is amazing. Her lectures are easy to understand and you can tell she enjoys teaching the material. She is always ready to help. The curve is glorious and she cares about her students.
Professor Ahadi is a good teacher and grades very generously. My only complaint with her is that she was not the best at communication. I took an online course with her and it can take a while for her to respond to emails. Besides that, I definitely recommend taking her courses.
Great teacher. Her classes are efficiently structured. She is extremely clear explaining complex concepts. She knows how to manage an online course.
You have three exams which make up 90% of your grade. She changed the time limit on the second exam but increased the number of questions without informing students, many people ran out of time. She goes over the material so fast and just goes into solving examples. Even with hours of studying the way this class is structured is just a NO
Amazing professor and a not very difficult class. The best is being able to watch the lecture at any time. This has helped me so much in reviewing for exams. Got an A on both exams that I have taken so far. There is one more exam left I believe.
I thought Prof Ahadi was really good. Plus, she's chill. Straightforward lectures & she records them! Clear study guide and provides a PDF "textbook" for everything covered. Course is somewhat difficult and requires time and studying but she is definitely an effective lecturer and professor. Said she gives a curve at end of semester too. Recommend!
The first exam is pretty easy as the concepts are straightforward, however definitely don't do what I did and cram studying for the last 2 exams because it is a lot tougher. The average grade for the Final for my class was a 57 but she was kind enough to add 12 points to our final class grade. Definitely recommend taking her class!
only 13 people made a B- or higher on the final so she curved everyone up 12 points (with round up) on the course WEIGHTED SCORE. B to an A+ she's goated
Prof. Katie is really nice and wants you to succeed in her class. She goes over all the notes and allows you to use them in the exams as well. She works through a lot of examples (easy to difficult) so that you are able to do those exact questions on the exam. DO NOT CRAM! Class is relatively easy, but take time to learn and practice. Recommended.
All lectures are recorded, so you can go in person, on Teams or watch it afterwards. Professor is extremely nice, but her lectures are very slow. We had homework about every other week and 3 exams. She allowed us to have 2 cheat sheets.
Professor Ahadi is the best professor I had at UT Dallas.
If you love taking online math classes that allow you to (generally) go at your own pace - THIS IS FOR YOU! She has recorded lectures and slideshow presentations that make the material easy to understand. And you have cheat sheets on your test. The homework is tedious, but it's not the worst.
She is Amazing. Her first exam is the hardest but after that it gets better. She teaches you everything you need to know and records it. Gave everyone a big curve. I would take her again for any other course. 3 exams, and Hw. I gave her a 4 in difficulty because of the first exam i thought i would fail the class but it got better after that.
All lectures uploaded to Teams, no attendance required. Easy material that is very manageable to watch on 2X speed. Professor is chill and curves like crazy. Just do the homework and try a little. Would 100% take again.
Take her!!
3 exams on honorlock and 9 hw's. I am bad at any stats course and thankful I at least passed because she added 3+ points to the total grade. Prof is nice but she made exams on saturdays and 2-4 PM, to which we had to complain and she moved it to sunday. She also had an attitude about people not attending her optional online reviews. Overall: 👍/10
She is the best professor teaching this course in my opinion, The only negative point is that the grading was totally based on the tests and quizzes. 90 marks on 3 exams and 10 marks on the 3 quizzes. However, if you practice after each class and attend the classes or watch the recordings, you will get an A, no doubt.
She's an amazing professor! I would take other classes she offers since she records her lectures on Teams, attendance isn't mandatory, and easy to pick up on topics. There are 3 exams, the first one is the hardest, the rest are easy, and the HW. Would highly recommend her for OPRE 3333. (Don't rely on the curve, do the best you can!)
Be ready to take a lot of notes because homeworks are complex (10-17 questions every 2 weeks). If you know nothing about R, you should consider getting familiar because she will jump into using R on first lecture and it could be hard to follow. Professor is nice and responsive! She gives nice curve at the end.
She seemed quite nice and sweet but have to rate this class on the quality of experience. For someone who is not too comfortable with Maths and Excel, I found her teaching style to be a bit all over the place and confusing. Not too connected to business. 90% of your grade is tests. Lessened time on second exam and added more questions unannounced.
Best class ever. 8 point curve at the end of the semester, which was insane. The assignments are literally like the exam except she changes some numbers, Open note, open book. Make sure to learn R coding and print out your R notes. As long as you know how to do the assignments and the coding required to find the stat number, you will do just fine.
Well-organized with clear study guides & fair exams (mirror homework). Lecture videos were helpful, but some concepts needed outside resources. In the beginning of the semester, email replies were slow, but office hours/Teams support was great. Tip: Do all homework—it's exam prep! Would take again.
Professor Ahadi is a splendid teacher. She is very engaging and teaches all the material in a very interactive, detailed and interesting manner. All the homeworks, practice problems, and review sets should be studied and practiced in your own time, a couple times at least.
Dr Ahadi is a great professor. Her teaching style is very informative. Getting an A in her class is easy. She curves a lot.
Took her in-person. Good professor, people slept in the class but if you try she'll be nice to you. Exams are similar to HW. Material can be confusing but she doesn't throw curveballs. Language barrier can come up when you ask her questions but her English is perfectly fine 99.9% of the time. You could do a lot worse for 3360, no regrets taking her
80% of your grade are exams. Lectures are comprehensible and all you need to get an A. Median exam 3 grade was 67, which was mind-boggling to me as I refuse to believe you can fail if you watch the videos once. She provided a 12 point curve which bumped my 98 to a 110. Great professor, she makes OPRE3333 easy.
Honestly, I don't think she's a horrible professor, but I struggled a lot with her class, despite attending every single lecture and dilligently prepared for her exams. Understand that you'll need a base knowledge of excel and statistics, and to be okay with having to teach yourself most of the material to take her.
The professor is an excellent lecturer. The content can be difficult, but she puts a lot of effort into teaching and answering questions. 3 exams (25% each), 8 homeworks. Very exam heavy, but her reviews helped a lot. She is very friendly and fair, applying a generous curve at the end of the semester. The class is easy if you pay attention.
