well, he wants everybody to do well, however hi is not always clear. Take advantage of the first test,its easy. The final exam was hard,parts of the test are terribly phrased to the point that it affects ur understanding of what hes asking. SOMETIMES problems on the test dont look anything like the ones on the HW which will definitely hurt ur grade

I really wish I could have had Dr. KK for a few other of my classes, like a couple of those calc classes. He does everything he can to help you out, all you have to do is ask for it. We had a lot of quizzes and HW, but it really helps you out with the tests. The tests ARE harder than the HW, but still perfectly doable.

This Professor has been teaching Engineering Economy since the mid 80's and he really knows his stuff. KK is also always available in his office if you have problems and never ignores his students. Doing the homework he hands out.(not the book) is key to doing well. Overall he is one of the best professors FIU has to offer.

Excellent Professor. Really inspires students to learn and make practical applications of the material taught. Really made the material understandable and was very willing to work with students. The things I learned in this class I will apply in whatever my future career is.

Prof. Kengskool is one of the very professors willing to help students any way he can. His teaching curriculum is easy and concise. Real down to earth professor who keeps students attentive to his lectures. Sadly his department is closing down, he will be greatly missed at FIU.

Dr. KK is a helpful teacher. He gets the Engineering Economy material across in a simple manner. Dr. KK keeps his classes interesting and concise. He assigns mandatory homework when he feels the material is demanding and needs extra attention, but keeps the problem sets at a good size. He is also understanding about any problem you may have.

Don't illude yourself with comments about easy A... you may in fact earn an A with Dr. Kengskool, but you must know how to study with discipline. That means: going to class every time and on time, reading the textbook, reading the handouts, doing the homework, asking questions, remembering that there are 12 cumulative chapters, and not giving up.

Good professor. The summer class is VERY fast paced. I recommend taking a regular (fall/spring) semester. Sometimes is hard to get a hold of him, but he'll help you on his office hours. Makes jokes in class, that sometimes run forever, but just go along with them.. (i.e. 'the world is gonna end in 2012, but at least pass my class')

"Do not confuse" Goes by Dr. KK. Tests are multiple choice and easy, just too long for the time allowed. You have to hurry and he tells you that. Lectures are CLEAR and well prepared. HW, book, and handouts go hand with hand with his lectures. Overall I recommend him. I prefer online so I can pause lectures, and rewind if I miss something.

My first college professor, and he was amazing. Truely cares for his class, and tries to curve a little to help out. Super funny, but has a slight accent. Work is hard, but his handouts are the best, and all the questions are from the handouts. Not to much homework, but its recommended to go to class. Overall nice guy, amazing prof. (GO DR. KK) :)

The online (FEEDS) class is extremely well done! If you have the discipline to sit down regularly and take notes from his online lecture, and if you read the book and do the homework, then you will both pass the class with a good grade and learn the material. He cares a lot for his students, but he expects you to do your part of the work.

I take this class online (FEEDS), and the grading is base on only three tests. His test are not very hard (about 70% literally from his notes and homework). I guess the the benfits from online class is that you can watch lecture many time you want for like a week. If you want you can sit in his class(unofficaly) and go to his office hours.

You'd be crazy to not take his class. One of the best engineering teachers and very cool. Good sense of humor and gives great notes for quizzes and homework. Take him, seriously.

This professor is great. He is crystal clear and if you email him he always gets back to you. I took the class online. His exams aren't easy but if you watch the video lectures and study you will be okay. The final was harder than I expected though, so know your material well. The exams are also long so budget your time.

Easy class if you actually study. Pay attention to his notes look at his handouts and make sure you understand the material. DO the homework. Test are a little long, and sometimes a bit challenging to finish, but if you pace yourself, and you truly know the material without doubts you should be done way before time.

Was previously EIN 3354. You need to show up to class, do the homework and ask questions. If you don't do what you are supposed to do, then you won't pass. Straight forward, read thoroughly and do the homework more than once. If you do what you are supposed to do "A". If you do half the work "C". If you do no work "F". Simple as A,B,Cs.

Took him online. Great professor, explains everything until you really understand. Uses interesting examples that you could be going through in you life, like buying a car. Lectures are extremely helpful when preparing for tests, I suggest to download all lectures to review before tests.

His outlines and notes break down the book to a simplified version that still takes practice but is less wordy than the book. He really cares about his students progress and is willing to help. Plus he keeps the class engaged with jokes. If a student does their homework on top of studying the theory they will do great.

He's is so blunt, that it's so funny! He really tries to help us out as much as possible. Ihad him for Fall 2012 and instead of having a midterm and final, we had 6 quizzes that were not as hard as we all thought!

Hands down my favorite teacher. You'll pick up his accent very quick and he has some pretty funny jokes. Do the HW; most of the quizzes are based off of it. Very useful and interesting lessons that have uses in more then just Economy. Take him, you won't be disappointed.

Online lectures (FEEDS) were very helpful and the professor is very clear. If you have any questions the professor is always available be it in person or via email. Lectures are only posted one week so it is important to stay ontop of the material. Dr. KK does post all lectures at the end of the semester for review. He wants students to do well.

I took the FEEDS class online and it was just as going to class but even better because you get to watch it whenever you want and rewind when you dont understand something. If you keep up with all the videos you will have no problem. 100 and 85 on my tests. TAKE HIM! and i recommend ONLINE

Good professor. Easy class. Long tests for just one hour. People who do well are the ones that have previous tests to study. He is very helpful if you need help. He wants you to pass, but he likes to trick you on the tests. most of the people fail the tests. average below 70, yet it is an easy class.

So hilarious. His personality made class enjoyable and the subject intriguing. First exam is intimidating because of the time limit. KNOW the material. Three exams, all open book, drops lowest exam grade. Final is worth 40% of your total grade. The A is doable. Only class I looked forward to this semester!

Dr KK is a respectable professor. He gets his work done and is there for his students. He even makes the extra effort because he wants his students to pass. He tries to show you how the class can be applied to real life. He also makes jokes sometimes to lighten the mood.

100% recommend. He moved the class in gradual steps (and not in huge leaps like Prof. Motta..) in order for us to understand the concepts and at the same time find each assignment easy. He keeps best 2 out of 3 exams (although he states a total of 4 on the syllabus), and makes the 2nd and 3rd exams cake. **EASY A IF YOU DO ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS**

I took this class in spring last semester with a different professor, and unfortunately I did not pass, the professor was no where as good as professor K.K. He teaches you exactly what you need to know. He gives out a lot of handouts to help you out, and his exams are straight forward!! He goes above and beyond to make sure his students pass.

What can I say, everyone loves KK. Don't get the wrong impression, like any course, you'll have to put in some work into it. He breaks down the material well, I recommend not missing lectures, esp. up till exam 1. Lays the ground work for the rest of the year. Really wants to help students in life in general.

Best college professor I've known. He cares so much about his students he wrote a grant to pay for his hired tutors which are available almost every day of the week. Makes you work hard and earn your grade. Very well respected amongst students and staff alike. Excellent professor!

This isn't a class where you can just hope you understand it in one shot without working for it and consistently applying yourself to the work. You have to do the assignments he gives you, ESPECIALLY in the beginning! If you do not understand chapters 3 & 4, DO NOT HESITATE to ask for help. DO NOT be EMBARRASSED. He will help in any way possible.

Give industrial amounts of homework. The tests have 2 parts; a true and false exam and a autocad part. The autocad part is ok given you did all the homework but the true and false is pretty intense even if you studied from the book. It was 135 questions!! There are easier professors that teach engineer drawing but he's a DECENT to take.

This is the second class, I took with Dr. KK, I can confirm that he is one of the best Professors you ever found at FIU. He does care about student-learning and try his best to help. His lecturehandouts is superb. His exam are clear and fair. Obviously, most students enjoy his class except some lazydishonest students. Must take his class.

Took his class online. He gave 3 tests and dropped the lowest one and because the class didn't do well he gave a makeup exam. Curves a lot. If you do your homework and go to help desk once a week its an easy A. Take extra credit quiz home is extra 5% to the grade.

I took Professor KK for Engineering Economy also and I liked him a little better in that class. He is a little more strict in Engineering Drawing I guess because it is extremely easy to copy someone's work and cheat. It is an easy A, just make sure to do the assigned homework (which are a bit time consuming) and watch his tutorials.

He is an excellent professor. Going to class and doing homework when he posts it is enough to pass his class. However, you should be careful, it seems pretty easy when he explains things, but if you don't do homework( or wait until the last minute) and skip classes you'll mess it up. Just do what he tells you to do and you'll get A.

Excellent Professor. He is super-efficient with class time and gets straight down to business. He gives really good notes and even gives solutions when the student attempts to do the homework. If the student applies him/herself and learns to think smart with money, anyone can enjoy and do well in his Economy class.

KK is a great and caring professor. If you don't pass it's because you lack effort. Most students do poorly on the first exam. (Don't be discouraged it's worth 20%, but make sure you know the definitions!) Also, understand early on how a cash flow diagram works, how to manipulate it, and how to choose a good reference point. Do NOT skip class.

This class was ok for six weeks. Take it seriously since the beginning. He does what he can to not discourage you with a somewhat new "concept". He's a nice man! Luckily, he's the only one for engineering economy! So prove it for yourself.

KK is a great professor, has 2 tests and one final (45% of your grade) and he does curve. Make sure to really study for the first test which is the one students typically fail. Other than that the course is simple, make sure to buy the "Understanding Engineering Economy" book it is short and to the point. Also their is plenty of tutoring provided.

Dr. KK was awesome. His lectures were interesting so show up to class. Make sure to keep up with the workbook problems so you don't fall behind . His test are based of the information in the workbook so make sure to buy "Understanding Engineering Economy" and READ the book. There were 2 test and the final. He is generous with the test curve.

Professor Kengskool makes engineering economy easy to understand. His grading criteria is very simple, and he goes above and beyond to help his students pass. If you do the homework and understand it, you can get an A easily. Only issue with him is that his books are expensive and mandatory. Expect to spend over $120 for this class in resources.

He's been doing this for a while so he knows how to teach it. If you could only buy one textbook, buy his booklets for about $50 and have a friend send you pictures of the other book because he only uses the other book for homework problems. He makes a lot of jokes. Your grade is only from tests, HW is not graded and quizzes are extracredit.

Much respect for this man. He's been doing this for literal decades, he knows his stuff, and he knows how to teach it. Grade is based on 3 tests which seems daunting at first, but does this b/c he knows students have other responsibilities outside of class. That being said, passing is entirely up to you. Subject isn't hard, just new concepts.

Professor Kengskool is an excellent profesor. His method of teaching Engineering Economy makes the complex look simple. His grading criteria is very straight forward, and he gives students plenty of tools for them to succeed, like practice quizzes and reviews before the exams, TAs support, among others. Take him, you will learn.

I really enjoyed his class. He teaches well, we follow his booklet he wrote himself (a great little book) and he deeply cares about his students. Grade depends only on 3 exams (including the final), but if you do the HW he suggests (the booklet has worked out solutions) you will do well. Don't skip his class, he teaches too well to miss out on it.

Dr. K. K. IS AN exceptional professor given his audacity to apply course topics to real life senarios and most importantly he is very clear when teaching any concept. I had fun in the class and am able to make a few investments of my own with the knowledge he tough me. I recommend him 100 % you wont regret it just try your best & u'll be surprise.

Great Professor. Would take again. If you read his small blue book and understand the material, you will pass. Show up to class. Inspirational. Sometimes go off on a tangent but gives useful life advice. Gives nice tips on studying.

Dr. KK is a great professor, if you read his book thoroughly you should not have any problems in his class. Especially now that he's coming out with a new book, it should be easier to learn and practice.

Pretty great prof even though I took online he was entertaining enough and is good at teaching / explaining what he wants you to know. Just follow his advice, do the H.W, memorize some terms and do the practice tests then you should be fine. Its easy to slack off while taking online and you will pay dearly if you do, tests sneak up quickly.

Dr. KK teaches you how to make the most out of your money. I recommend buying his book and trying the homework he assigns, he has real life problems that can be beneficial for anyone in the future. His tests are challenging but are doable if you invest time on the class and go to his TAs which are excellent!

Excellent professor. It is rare to find one who cares as much as Dr. KK. Simply show up to his lectures and you will grasp every concept and easily secure your A. His textbook is super helpful and provides extra problems and practice exams which would really help you in his exams. The multiple choice questions are always similar as well. 10/10

If you go to class and use the formula sheet and tables, you can easily pass this class. Skipping class will definitely hinder you, you'll need them to know how to do certain problems well.

Professor KK gives solid lectures and real world examples. He does only have 2 grades, midterm and final, so do the optional HW

Mr. KK IS NICE!!! Such a nice class and prof., you will love it!!! the class is made of just two exams: 1 midterm (40%) and 1 final (60%). PLEASE BUY HIS TEXTBOOK, it will help you with the 60% percent of the class. Problems on the exams are really similar to the ones on the textbook. He will do everything to curve and to help students. TAKE HIM!!!

Best engineering economy professor! Only grades midterm and final (cumulative) which he curves. His lectures were pre recorded but he also had meeting times to review the lectures. He is very clear on what you need to do to pass but if you dont try you wont pass! He gives optional hw but helps for exams. Practice the content and youll get an A.

Great professor. He does care about his students. His lectures are very well organized and all information you need is either in his lectures or in the textbook.

Took him online for summer, not sure how in-person class is. Lectures are pre-recorded with office hours, and he's really nice. Make sure to buy his textbook, the one he wrote: it's mandatory, and his tests are pretty much identical to the review questions and are open book. The other book you can rent as it's only used for homework. 2 tests only.

His authored workbook is the class Bible. But like any written work, it's full of many typos and errors. If you follow along and catch these typos to fix them, you'll be in good shape to understand the class concepts. Easy class by itself, he just complicates the questions into unrealistic situations just to make sure you thoroughly understand.

I took this class during Zoom University Fall of 2020, his grading style is 40% midterm and 60% final, that's it! I recommend purchasing his textbook, questions in the book were IDENTICAL to the questions on the exams. Bonus, the exams are OPEN BOOK, so circle all the answers in the textbook and flip through the book during the exam, easy pass :)

Such caring and knowledgeable professor. You can tell he is passionate about subject and cares for students. Teaches super well and lectures are filled with information that is helpful. Textbook is mandatory and will help with studying for tests. In-person class is 3 tests, so if you fail 1 it'll be hard to recuperate grade. Subject itself is hard.

Professor Kengskool is an incredible professor. He teaches good in his lectures, gives you related homework and then give you the solutions. His exams are exactly similar with the homework he gave or the sample questions in the books he uses. Get the books and solve the problems, then you'll get an easy A. He is just an awesome professor.

40% midterm and 60% final, both are open notes. I heard his online lectures weren't so great so I just read a chapter per week from his textbooks (which was annoying but manageable). The subject was pretty easy and he allows a retake for the midterm and might curve it a bit. The practice problems in the book are pretty similar to the actual exams

On top of lecturing in class, his online lecture videos are an added bonus on canvas. Actually study for the class and you'll get a good grade. Study hard!

This teacher is a great professor and the lectures are nice. HOWEVER, he catches you on technicalities for a large portion of questions in the quizzes and exams. He will word a question weird to make the answer not obvious or will expect you to write in an option that isn't provided for questions.

Profesor KK is the best professor l've had in a long time. If you want to pass the class with an A+ the best thing to do is read the lessons, which are very easy to read and go straight to the point. If you have any questions you can go to his office hours and he will help you in the best way possible. Class is easy if you read and do homeworks.

In all honesty, this class was great. Dr. KK profoundly demonstrates that he wants to help his students to not only pass, but actually leave having learned the material, which is fairly easy. Read the book and do the HW (doesn't assign a lot) if you have any questions he's more than happy to help, doesn't get bothered by being asked questions.

KK is an awesome professor to take for EGN3613. He wrote his own textbook with an accompanying Interest Table Book and a Formula sheet included, which you will use in the text. His textbook has practice exams which are identical to the exam questions and will prepare you well. His lectures are sometimes slightly disorganized, but still useful.

Dr. Kengskool is great professor and I would recommend him to anyone. If you don't read the material or do any practice problems you're going to struggle in the class. He wrote a book that we use in the class and he explains the material extremely well in the book plus the other resources he shares. He's a fair and just grader. Just do the work!

This class is generally not hard, as long as you put in the work. I think this professor really does care about his students and tries to help them when they struggle. To do well in this class, make sure to do any HW he assigns, even if he doesn't grade it, don't miss any class, and don't become complacent. Having the book early on is crucial.

The class is amazing, the professor explain every chapter very clear and he will answer any question you have. His lecture are very summarized and easy to understand.

Beware of the one-star ratings. I noticed almost 40 one-star reviews with negative comments were all posted on the same day - April 25. It feels like a group of students was trying to damage his reputation. KK who I know is extremely helpful and holds TA office hours to answer questions. They should find a way to verify or filter out fake comments.

Dr. Kengskool is definitely one of the best professors at the school. His lectures are entertaining and while he has a slight accent, he's still easily understandable. He uses a textbook which is accessible online. For eng. eco., our grade was based on 4 exams and a little participation. There's not much homework either. Overall, a great professor.

Read Text 1 before lectures, complete the optional Canvas homework, and do the review questions and quizzes from Text 1 — they're similar to exam content. Prof KK is such a character. His class consists for 4 exams and a participation grade. To pass, read and write notes of the lesson before the lecture. Do the homework even though its not "mandatory", and come to class with questions. Not a hard class at all, just time consuming. People who complain are lazy. Most of the bad ratings are fake btw

The class was very interesting. There is a lot of class participation quizzes. Paying attention to the lecture and reviewing the homework and course materials would make the class way easier. Great professor overall.
