This teacher is very knowledgeable. He was a little hard to understand sometimes but he repeated himself to make sure that we got the point. His demeanor was easy going and he showed enthusiasm. He was great!

Come to every class and copy down everything he writes on the board. You don't even have to read the book to succeed. Graded homework is based off notes, and the two exams are based off both HW and notes. An overall good course and teacher.

Kiet is a great teacher, but sometimes difficult to understand. 3 exams based on lectures notes, weekly quizzes and mock exams. Takes attendance. Can be fairly easy if you keep up with the class. Recommended.

Keep up w/the class, hw, mock exams and you will ace this class. It is a little difficult to understand him at first but soon enough you will become accustomed to his accent. His energy really motivates the class and he will go at lengths to make sure his students understand. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

All he had working against him were the 4 hour class periods, cold classroom, and his sometimes hard to understand accent. Other than that he knows what he's talking about (sometimes assumes you will too...) and will explain anything for you if you just take the effort to ask. I'd take him again.

Despite his accent, his speech is understandable and lessons easy to follow. He does a decent job of engaging the students, and is not without a sense of humor. My biggest complaint is his unbelievably conservative, quasi-Libertarian bias that he quite blatantly shoves down your throat. To be fair, however, students are free to argue with him.

I definitely recommend him. Do the exam review packet that he e-mails before each exam and you'll be fine. He encourages questions, and he's a nice guy. My only complaint is he is way too conservative. Think for yourself, and don't take his political views to heart.

Wonderful teacher!!! He makes Economics fun. He is the teacher, not the book. Not the easiest class, however, in the end YOU LEARN! He takes advantage of every minute, he is not there to take the rest of the time off. He will spend time with you if you need it and he sends the exam review package. WILL DO BAD IF U MISS CLASS.

Probably the best economics teacher in all NVVC campuses. He teaches well and gives you study packets to review with. As long as you dont miss a class, you will do fine. also, no need to buy that expensive book, you never use it in economics as long as you take notes.

He does have an accent and unclear handwritting, but he's one of the best teacher. He take his time explains the topics and uses real examples to help one understand it. I hate economics, but he made it so I understand I got decent grades.

One of the best professors at NOVA. Very helpful. Basically copy all the notes on the blackboard and study them b4 a test. He also gives you a "reveiw packet" b4 every test. Just study that and you better get an A. Cauze if you dont then...i dont know who can help you.

Very easy teacher, gives a review packet before every test and most of the questions come from the review packet, also gives easy in class assignments that together with h.w. are 25% of your grade. Also gives an extra two points for your grade point average if you have perfect attendence. I barely paid attention in class and recieved and A.

He gives 3 tests each of which is 25% of your grade and the other 25% consists of class work and Homework. Before the second and the third test he gives a 20 point extra credit. Which helps alot. If you get a C on your test he adds the 20 points extra credit on to your test which could bring it up to a high B or even an A.Really Helpfull prof.

Awesome teacher - he sticks well to his syllabus. He gets graph crazy but believe me, once you continue for your bachelor's you will appreciate it. Now any ECO class is a breeze thanks to him!!!

He is a really a good teacher, he really knows economics, and he makes it interesting. Lots of extra crdits, even if you did bad on the test, but you'll still get a decent grade because of it. Although he does teach fast, sometimes it just drives you crazy, but just stay with him, you'll be fine. Easy A for average or higher students.

I took him for 201-202. The class was fun. He lectures, and writes everything on the board. If he writes it, make sure you take it down, because there's a BIG chance it will be on the tests! In-class work everytime you meet, but you got to do them in groups. He gives lots of extra credits.

Mr. Kiet is an awesome professor. I had him for Econ 201 and I plan on taking him for 202 next semester. In one semester we had 6 homework assignments(15-20 questions) which he gave 2 weeks to complete and a lot of extra credit. Tests are kinda difficult but study and you'll do fine. He is a fun professor and i enjoyed his lectures.

Professor Quack is great. Writes down everything ,so you have plenty of time to copy notes. Exams are coming from his lectures so your notes are very important. Gives plenty of extra points just to help students to get A and B. Very smart, easy , helpful. Just a great guy! Higly recommended!

Easy class, lots of extra credit, on the test u can get anywhere from 20-25 points extra credit. he doesnt want his students to fail, he is their to help u when u need it, go to his office, or in class he will help u. make sure u come to class b/c he does in class assignments, but it is group work, they are worth 10-40 pts

Just listen to what he says, take notes (if you take good notes then you can skip buying the text cuz it's not really needed) and come to class on time for the group assignment... it's practically impossible to get an thing less than a B in the class

He's the best economics professor @ this campus. He makes the subject so easy and enjoyable. I took this class as an elective and no I'm not nerd but seiously he can teach really well. Take him if you want to learn and at the same time enjoy the subject. Higly recommend him he gives out so many extra credit you will do well in his class guarantee.

The material is hard and I never understood Economics or the teacher but I somehow got an A in this class. I still don't know what economics is but I lived off of the extra credits. I thought I was gonna get a C but the teacher does try to raise your letter grade a lot. He's nice but bizarre, and I didnt understand him at all.

Be on time. He has alot of inclass assignments and they start at the beginning of class. He puts lots of notes on the board. A good note taker won't need the book. But he does follow the book. In fact, one of my classmates only studied her book and got a decent grade. He is extremely helpful and will even attend your study group if asked.

I took this professor for 201 and 202. One word: AWESOME! Tests come completely from notes and he makes himself available on weekends before tests for extra study time. He interjects funny stories to make his point. TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!!

He is a very good teacher. He is prepared and knows what he is doing. It might sound unbelievable but all the information just pops out of his head and if someones does not understand, he does not keep going until you get it. It was such an easy A if you actually listened in class, did the multiple choice hw, and read your notes. He gets dull toward the end of the session because of time constraint, but he is pretty amusing. He's single and he makes fun of himself for it. Reading the book helps, you do better with the book, people struggled without it.

Mr. Quach is a great professor. However, Economics just isn't a fun subject and it's very detailed. Be prepared to take a lot of notes and be prepared to do a lot of studying. His exams are difficult but if you really know and understand the material you will be fine. First exam over half the class received A's. And attendance is key.

Took both 201 & 202 w/ him. His brain is the textbook; as long as you attend class and take good notes(don't get lazy!), you do not need the text(I did not buy). Econ is a crazy complicated subject, and this professor makes sure you learn all that you need to know. Lecture is fun, as he is V. passionate on the subj. Highly recommended!!!

The man is brilliant! His notes are very clear. And unlike my previous Econ prof, he gives study guides for tests, & is very helpful during his office hours. But arrive early, because the lines are long! Do get a textbook, because he will ask you to read info in detail that isn't covered during his lectures. He makes economics interesting!

Professor Quach taught me a lot. I just did not appreciate him starring at me everytime I needed to take a piss and walked out of class. He is difficult to understand but it is possible if you pay attention. He is very strict on being on time because you have an in-class assignment every morning that starts at 8:00 and is due at 8:05

He is a little hard to hear, but he tells you everything you need to know for the test and he teaches high level economics, but that level isn't tested, so you get to lay back and really learn economics. This teacher has a very organized way of teaching and writing notes. If you adapt to his style and decipher his hand writing you'll do fine. The test are all from notes and in class assignments. If you show up, there's no reason why you shouldn't get at least a B. However, most people do not show up and expect a good grade anyway. Its just laziness

Quach is a beast. He goes pretty fast, but try your best to copy down ALL the notes. He's a great teacher, his analogies are extremely useful and sometimes hilarious.For example, he taught us about wants and needs by drawing a pic of his kids over a pot of boiling oil, LOL. If you need any help you can go to his office during office hours he will answer any questions you may have and work with you until you understand it. One of the best professors I have had at NOVA yet. He is very informative and is very clear on the concepts. In order to get an A, you have to put in work, listen to him,and do HW. Moreover, the guy wants you to get an A, so he gives a lot of extra credits. Also, His notes are very important and everything on the test comes from the notes.

Homework is easy and classwork is in groups so that's also easy. There's 3 exams where you don't have to do the 3rd one if you complete his list of things to do. Some people think he helps pass everyone so just keep that in the back of your mind if you don't do well on the exams. Overall, he's a nice guy and I would take him for 202.

Such a great professor. He gives out a lot of extra credit during lecture from previous lectures. He also gives extra credit before the tests. I got A's on all the tests and never opened the textbook, all his test material is from his notes.

His class isn't easy but if you work hard, you will get an A. I work very hard during the semester so even though I didn't too well on the final, I still got an A. He is very helpful during his office hours and willing to work with you. His final is accumulative. No textbook needed. I am taking his class on the summer for micro.

Best economics professor! He actually teaches you econ and not just curriculum. Come to class on time (5 mins early), take good notes, and you'll get a good grade. The notes are clear and directly relate to the test. Be on time and don't leave while class is in session! He is motivating, funny, and will teach you life lessons!

Took Prof. Quach's Summer MicroEconomics class and passed with an A. Must devote full attention in the lengthy class and ask questions on unfamiliar material. He's very knowledgeable and friendly, too. Likes to tell jokes and make the class interesting. If you need the course, take Prof. Quach's class.

He is a very passionate and interesting teacher. His accent can be difficult to understand especially if you sit in the back of the class. His class has two exams as well as in class assignments and he gives out plenty of extra credit. He has a low tolerance for those who show up late. It is clear that he loves to teach and I would recommend him.

Either the best teacher I have had, or one of the best. Little hard to understand due to speech, but once you get used to it you'll realize he is an AWESOME teacher. He is really caring and helpful teacher. All he writes on the desk is a good illustration of particular topic, and most of the things he writes on the board will definitely be on the exam, so take "a good good notes," and you will succeed in his in-class assignments and exams. Also, complete the extra credit assignments that he gives you.

I took this course as a pre-req for my masters degree and so glad I took this prof. He knows his material backwards and forwards and wants his students to learn. His method of teaching is great and he makes what could be a boring topic interesting. He is hilarious too! Go to class, take gooood notes, do the extra credit and you will succeed.

At first i read the textbook and the textbook was boring and confusing at parts. The Professor put things so well that it helps you truly understand the concepts. TAKE NOTES!!!! i am a person that rarely does, but for this class i had to if i wanted an A.

Mr. Quach is an inspirational teacher. Taking good notes is key. Write down everything he says and puts on board-EVERYTHINGSuccess. And then just read the book and you will pass A easily. Make sure you do both of what I just said though, Economics is not easy. Mr. Kiet Quach's class taught me some lessons I believe I will remember for life.

The professor is really interesting. He knows his material inside out and supplements the material with outside (but still extremely relevant) information. Attendance is mandatory. He gives out in-class assignment at the beginning of class, and if you're late then you miss it and it hurts your grade. Just show up on time and write down everything he writes on the board and study. You will pass with an A then. Also, he's funny and entertaining.

Took his class as a 6 week course and he made it seem smooth. He relates each topic to real life senerios making class really enjoyable.

He is an excellent professor. interesting lectures, lots of in-class assignments for which you can use your class notes and textbook if you have one. Really great professor but beware the midterm and final exam are worth 70% of your grade. Somehow I finished with a B but if you are not a good test taker consider taking it with another professor. Other than that, he's great, very insightful. Definitely one of my favorite professors!

Great class! Lots of little quizzes at the beginning of class to reward students who are there and on time. Some of the concepts were difficult but he broke them down and made them easy to understand.

Every class there's an IC that reflects on what we lectured the last class. 2 Tests; very straight forward and gives extra credit on the exam that are on BB. Overall a NICE and easy professor if you put in some effort but lecture can be long.

Great Teacher, The accent threw me off at first, but he definitely knows what he is talking about. I liked him, he was pretty funny and the accent is understanble. if you just need to take the class for your major and you want to get it over with i suggest him. no homeworks, you don't need to buy the book and just two exams. I hate econ, but professor Quach is phenomenal. You MUST go to his classes though and WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING! Also having a study group is going to help so much. Go to class early too since you always have worksheets in the first 15 minutes and this counts as a lot. Also LOTS of extra credit and he's so hilarious. Definitely take him!

Prof. Kiet is the best professor I have ever had; he is also the most challenging. His lessons are efficient and clear but heavy with material. His tests are thorough and demanding but have tons of Ex Cr. Class starts on time every time w/ a 5-10 min group quiz. This class is extremely challenging. Work hard or don't bother. He has a strong accent.

He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit: on our first exam, the highest grade was a 129% with half the class getting As. Most of the questions on the exam are from his study guide/extra credit problems. You need to show up to each class on time, but as long as you do, you should pass easily. Really dislikes people leaving early.

He teaches the materials very well to class. He provides practice exams to help you prepare for test and lots of extra credit opportunities. Pay attention and try to read the assignment for class,so you know exactly what the lecture is based on.

hes funny and super helpful when you go to business hours. i have a new perceptive to econ because of him. he's lectures are like if he were telling a story. a midterm and final and many extra credit and mini quizzes that are open note and group based.

I'm already attending GMU and I can confirm that professor Quach is an aamzing instructor. He's passionate about the topic and he's one of the reasons I am studying economics as well as taking a focus on the financial aspect of the subject. He's quite knowledgeable and he will even give you an alternative perspective to the field, he's also easy.

The man is an absolute genius. Please take his class prepared to learn and engage. This is not an easy A by any stretch. If you have a tendency to come into class late or leave class early, you will fail the class. He intentionally gives time sensitive class assignments at the very beginning of class to make sure this is the case.

Very good lecturer, has the ability to make the subject interesting to learn. I am glad to have picked Prof Quach. He is very strict about being on time to class. If you're early morning be aware, if you're late you will miss the 5 minute assignment each class during the first 5 minutes every class . 5 minute quizzes 34%, midterm 33%, final 33%.

I took him for summer and he has 2 exams. just don't be late for class because he gives you in class assignments that you work in with groups and they are 30 points each. he does have an accent but he has very good knowledge about economics.

He was an ok, he called people out when they left to go to the bathroom or if they came in late. He gives out quizzes in the beginning of class, I paired myself up with smart students so I would do well. Don't make him mad by coming in late during the quiz, he will shorter the time to get the quiz done. Very delayed in putting my grades up online.

Most of your grade is based on the two test of the course. So make sure to do his study guide and attend his class for lectures, since he writes all the notes himself in class. NO HW. Six quizzes and two exams are the only things graded. (Exams are open notes). Attendance is graded at the end. I didn't get the textbook and only relied on the lectures and diagrams he makes as notes. Since it is lecture heavy, I got bored, but everything that he did on screen I copied cause it popped up in the quiz or exam.

This teacher is an easy A, but only if you take his class online. You don't have to turn on your camera or turn on your mic. He doesn't assign any homework and the only thing you're going to be graded on is exams and quizzes (Exams/quizzes are open notes to ANYTHING)

He is a very simple and enjoyable teacher. Very sweet when you ask questions. Just listen to his lectures and try your best, you should do fine. He has about 6 or 7 mini quizzes and two exams, which are all done on your own time which is nice and less stressful. They are both around 20 questions so not straining. Ask questions if you need it !!!!

With a total of 6 quizzes and 2 exams, I passed all of them. I taken him for my ECO201 class because he was that enjoyable and easy. He's also very kind as well and worked well with me for accommodations. Take notes and attend classes cause info from there will pop up on the quizzes/exams.

He is a great lecturer. Beware, very lecture heavy, extremely hard to get in contact with after class. His test is his lecture, so don't bother teaching yourself economics. Easy class if and only if you take it online. Literally you can successfully Google 95% of the questions on quizzes and exams because they are "open notes" to the Internet.

When you take virtual classes. You will get an A in Eco 201, and 202 classes. No homework, but you will get an A (I took his classes by Zoom)

You literally just have to show up to class and write everything down from the board because he makes his tests directly from the notes and the quizzes on Canvas. Even though the test average would be pretty bad, he gives out so many extra credit opportunities that would bump you from a C to A. So many people ended the class with above 100%!
