She makes class a lot of fun. Only 3 semi-short papers. No final, no reading, and cancels class a lot. I would recommend her to anyone.

Kim is great! She really wants you to get a lot more out of her class then just knowing how to write a paper. She grades easily and is very helpful. only 3 short papers and no text required. She is amazing. I would take her over and over. Definately take her!

Take her class. She actually makes you want to write well. I hated writing with a passion before I had her, but somehow she managed to make me enjoy it. She isn't an overly easy grader, but gives a lot of extra credit possibilities.

I loved this class so much! Kim is hilarious, and you really get drawn into the topics you cover. They're very modern (no boring Shakespeare here!) like poverty, the war in Iraq, animal cruelty, etc. She is tough on papers though, make sure you actually edit them or you won't get higher then a C or B-. Great class. Love Kim.

Instructor is very interested in student progress, and bringing out each student's individuality as a writer and as a person, in general. Class meets the LAC goals...which no other LAC class I've taken really does that. She's a bit is disorganized and scattered, but this will probably get better with more experience, since she's still pretty young.

Great instructor, tons of fun to have. Was clear on her expectations, but didn't make us do anything she wouldn't want to do herself. I'd have her 100x over if I could.

Groninga is a super awesome teacher. She made everything fun and interesing. I was surprised that there wasn't more papers to write than there was for a class called "College Writing & Research". I would take other English classes simply to have her as a teacher again. Only disappointment is that she does NOT use e-learning.

TAKE THIS CLASS. Kim makes English fun and easy. You write a papers and barely have homework other than that. She lets you pick topics that interest you and honestly cares about EVERY SINGLE STUDENT in the class. knows all names.communicates a lot through email and is a fair grader. personable and extremely helpful.I lots of easy extra credit!!!

Easily one of my favorites. She is so adapted to college age people. She understands our humor and is honestly amazing. I dont like going to class and I only missed her's once. Attendance is graded but you might as well go because you will get an A. She is so awesome, as a freshman course take it wither her get an A and be happy.

She is great with this class. There are like 5 main papers. Plenty of time to finish them and she grades fairly. A few quizzes- super easy if you read. Reading is easy though. She cares about her students and it's an enjoyable class (I had it at 8am so that says a lot).

Kim is the best professor I have had while at UNI. She cares about her students and while she is not an Easy A professor she gives you all the tools to succeed and then some. She is fun and I would genuinely look forward to class. She urges her students to have their own voice not just in class but in life. If you try you will succeed in her class.

Kim is an amazing professor. She teaches a lot of life lessons, and she treats the students as though they are on the same level that she is. She makes the class interesting. You journal everyday and there are about 6 papers that she grades fairly easily. There are three novels that you have to read portions of and there are short quizzes over them

Wow, never had a professor that actually cared about her students. She understood individual needs and is flexible. Even though she is a kind and easy going, she pushed her students to be the best writers they can be. Her grading is tough but she teaches you how to get an A. Take this course with Kim, she is amazing!

No one wants to take a public speaking class.. I mean, I was dreading it! But thank God I was placed in Kim's class! She was so fun and made public speaking bearable. She is wonderful! Highly recommended!

Kim is amazing. Funny lectures make the entire class laugh. She teaches us in a way that not only gives us useful information but makes us really think about writing a paper or what we will write about. throughout this tough course I was challenged but it prepared me for future essays. Need a good laugh or shoulder to cry on? Kim is always there!

Kim iss a very helpful professor. She gives great feedback on your papers and is always available in her office hours and through email. One thing that I like about this professor is that she is always willing to listen to your perspective on various issues, like poverty, inequality, etc. I would recommend taking this class with her.

Kim is nice and down to earth. I have a serious fear of writing but it ended up not being as bad as I expected. If you do the required reading, put some thought into your papers, and go to the writing center (5% EC every paper if you do) you should do just fine. I hate writing and I got an easy A.

Overall, very solid. I would recommend to take her if you get the chance. I took two of her classes and got A's in both. Yes there is some work and you do have to come to class but that's just how it works right? If I could take her again I would without a doubt!!!!!

Kim is no doubt one of the best English lecturers I have ever met. Quizzes are fine not too hard and you'll do just fine with the assigned papers. It's fairly easy.

There are a couple books and a packet of essays youll have to print and read. Everything you have to read is actually interesting(and not long), so its not hard. She usually had 20 point quizzes on them the following day and are easy to pass if you read them. There are a few easy essays and a flyer due, but if you put in effort, youll do great(:

Professor Groniga was honestly one of my favorite professors this semester. She worked well with us and it was always a good atmosphere when we were in class together. She is passionate about what she teaches and the conversations are always super interesting. Hope to be able to take more classes with her in the future!

I normally don't enjoy writing papers, but this class isn't bad. you learn the basics of emails, memos, instruction manuals, and writing a proposal. Can be pretty slow when it comes to grading but it is an online class so I'm sure we aren't on the top priority list. do the work and put some thought into it and you'll be fine.

Really one of the best professors I think I will ever have. She has a strong sense of care towards her students and wants the best for them. When you are in her class, put your phone away and participate, because no one deserves more respect than her. Also ask her what her favorite limited time ice cream is!
