Kim is the best!!!! this is the second class I am taking with Her. She takes the time to spend with her class.

she is definatelt one of teh best teachers there. she is not only my advisor but i have taken two classes with her...i would not have taken them with anyone else.

i took her for a summer course and she was the best teacher ever. she was very helpful, interesting and clear on everything she expected. i would def. take her class again.

This class may seem easy, but believe me, you are learning alot. Dr.O'Donnel is a great teacher, take her class if you at all can!!

Dr. O'Donnell was awesome, a complete inspiration for any psych student- any student for that matter. I look to her for quidance and support with my work. Absolutely awesome help, do the work and you are bound to get a good grade, she's fair and she's always looking out for your best interest. AWESOME!

I agree with all the previous comments. Dr. O is the best! You learn a lot while having fun, interesting conversations. She makes everything fun and stress-free. If you have to take a psych class, she should be your first choice for a professor. You will cheat yourself if you take a psych class with anyone else.

Great professor - I took her online over the summer, and really enjoyed the interaction with classmates! Very big on online participation, but with the right class it really flowed. I would take another course with her in a second - great instructor who really motivates her students to participate.

she's uber friendly, easy to talk to, likes feedback, and really easy to pass if you do your work.

She is very nice and loves interacting with her students. Her tests are extremlly difficult and her grading is unclear. I would recommend her to any one who is comfortable with pyschology, if you are new to pyschology shes probably not the professor for you. Very honest and funny person.

4wk online class. Pretty easy. Decent amount of work required. Postings, test, ect. Huge report due at the end. Very interactive, responded to questions and post in a timley manner.

One of the bright spots in my many experiences with teachers. She knows her stuff; provides powerpoints for each lecture but writes on the board mostly from her head. Students enjoyed dparticipating in discussion. She makes it interesting & enjoyable. Concerned not just w/how we like the class, but way moreso in what we get out of it. *Very* fair.

My best professor so far. Everything that she teaches is so clear. She writes everything on the board. Tests are easy because she gives study guides for every test. I would recommend her to everyone. Take her!

Excellent professor. Dr. Kim O'Donnell really knows what she's talking about. Writes the notes from her head. Will take the time to answer questions and make sure her students understand her 100%. She is very fair with her grading. Dr. O'Donnell makes Psychology fun and interesting. Tests are exactly as the study guides..no trick questions.

She knows her stuff, and makes class interesting, but don't try to contact her via email unless you don't want a response. Also, her grading system is complete nonsense. Do the work, use the study guide, and you will be fine.

Amazing instructor! I've been reading some pretty bad comments about her online course but her traditional in-class course is so easy, she's more than happy to help, very flexible given certain circumstances. It wouldn't be too bad if you didn't buy the book. She goes over everything you need to know, in class. Just take notes!!

She is an amazing teacher. She wants everyone to pass. She will relate topics to make everyone understand them and if something isn't clear to someone she will go the extra mile for you to understand. i highly recommend her.

great teacher!!!! class was intresting and she kept your attention. if you read what you are suppose to the study guides there is no reason that you will not pass she allows you to correct your test and hand them in the class is intresting and easy i cant wait to take her for development!

She is awesome all you need to do is take notes and you are set. Coming to class helps you learn for sure and all quizzes are open book online. Study guides help one tests.

Going to class is definitely recommended because she goes over almost everything you need to know for the tests. She really does want everyone to pass, you just have to talk to her and show her your trying. She grades very reasonably. She gives great example relating the info to other things to help you remember. She's a great teacher!

The tests are timed, with 32 multiple choice and 11 open ended questions, which personally I found overwhelming and hard. The system was set up well. The teacher is on top of her email for help, but would like to see us communicate with classmates first. Make sure to keep up with posts on the lecture slides. She wants you to pass, so ask for help!

I loved Kims class. I took her twice while being at NVCC. You will learn alot from her, but she makes it fun and relates it to real life events. Her tests are alittle hard, but if you do her study guides then youll be fine.

Great professor! She really cares about her students and the tests are not difficult as long as you go to class and take propers notes. Her class is very interesting and she uses examples that are easy to remember during tests. First exam was the most difficult. Not a lot of homework. Highly recommended.

Professor O'Donnell was the most understanding teacher I have had to date. She knows her stuff about psychology and i truely enjoyed her class. Amazing professor, tests really aren't that bad and she is just overall awesome. I definately reccomend taking her class for psych 101.

Before I took this class I was very apprehensive in taking it. I read the reviews about the online class, and they just looked discouraging. Well, this class turned out GREAT! Yes, you had to study, do papers, homework and quizzes, but the quizzes are not timed. The papers and tests are not to difficult. The professor is nice and course intriguing

Kim was wonderful. Always willing to help. She gives enough work to teach and get the information across, but not so much that you're dying by the end of the semester. Take good notes! and READ the book. She doesn't go over absolutely everything in class, because realistically there isn't enough time, so she expects you to read at home. Great class

Kim O'Donnelle is a really great professor. She knows her stuff about Psychology. Advice: STUDY!! But During lecture she gives good notes and explains the notes she takes. She gives out extra credit, so if you aren't doing well in her class I highly recommend you do to the extra credit! If I had to take another psych class I would take her again!

One of my favorite professors by far. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, and the exams are not that hard as long as you use the study guide. She tests on the notes she gives in class so you need to be there. Follow the guidelines for assignments and put some thought in and you'll get a good grade.

Kim O'Donnell was a great professor. She made her 8am enjoyable and her class was relatively easy. You have to put extra effort into reading and you'll do just fine. We had 3 exams and they consist of essay questions, no multiple choice. But you have to put work into your answers. She's easy to follow and a great lady! I recommend her.

After reading reviews of her online class, I was worried, but had no problems. She's very responsive (12 hour windows for response time, usually less). Good feedback on papers and discussion boards. Sometimes slow to grade portions of class. A week or more past due dates. Good slides and has study guides. Timed tests, not proctored at school

She relates the material to real world situations to understand better. Mandatory papers are required, If you don't do them you won't pass for sure. Exams aren't easy but it's not rocket science either. She's more into you KNOWING the material instead of just breezing by it. She also gives study guides, it covers the topics but too much details.

A professor who really knows and cares about the material. Easy grader. Lectures are interesting. She's very easy going and doesn't give a hard time.

Her lectures are so funny and interesting, although the lecture are heavy for taking notes the test are based off the notes. I highly recommend taking her classes!

Professor O'Donnell has a great work ethic and gives structured and great information. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to ask any questions to clarify information. She also related the topics to her own practice and often gives very funny stories. Overall an excellent professor!

Overall this class was not bad. If you read the textbook you will do fine. This teacher also offered extra credit opportunities a few times over the semester. Be aware that there was a big term paper, and the course load did not change to accommodate it.

Dr. O'Donnell is honestly the greatest teacher I have ever had. I've had her for multiple classes. I wish she could teach all my classes! Not only are they fun, but easy to follow. If you communicate to her, she will go above and beyond for you. Assignments are enriching and easy. Even if you're not a psych major, I highly recommend taking her!!

This was actually for Psy243, but I also had her for abnormal psych. Excellent teacher. Willing to keep explaining until you understand. Knows her field.

Best professor ever!

It was an amazing class, professor O'Donnell is very understanding and makes sure to make class time engaging and interesting. If you read the text you will have a better hang of subjects being discussed in class but I wouldn't say it's entirely mandatory, but it DEFINITELY helps. I 100% suggest taking her class, she is a wonderful professor.

Absolutely amazing professor, before the virus class was extremely enjoyable, once the school was closed down because the virus she was quick to organize a plan and keep us going as intended with video presentations and organized work. Great Professor.

It is not rare to find a professor passionate about their field or to find a professor who is pedestrian in teaching and indifferent to students. What is rare is a professor like this; inspiring, knowledgeable, and passionate not just about psychology or even about teaching, but passionate about her students. I wish she taught all my classes.

I loved how Professor O'Donnell included funny (and good!) examples of her dog(s) and her kid(s) in her psychology lectures. She is a very sweet and caring professor, and to me it seemed like her papers especially were a bit tough and you really had to work hard on them in order to get a decent grade but overall she was great!

I absolutely loved Professor O'Donnell - this was my favorite professor and course! She teaches the material in a way that makes it so simple and easy to understand. You do not need to buy a textbook, she provides it for you online. If you need this credit definitely take this class! If you are a dog lover, be prepared - she shows her dogs a lot :)

Such an amazing and caring professor! I had taken her for both abnormal psych and theories of personality. Both classes were very fun and engaging. She makes sure everyone understands the chapters and gives great real life examples to help. As long as you stay on top of your work, take notes, and read the chapters you will pass.

I've gone to school at NVCC, UConn, and University of bridgeport. Kim O'Donnell was the best professor I have ever had. The best of the best. Don't miss out!

A dedicated prof. Who cares and seeks to help each student individually. Dr. O'donnel encourages and inspires you to be confident and not to give up. She gives you a chance to work toward a better grade. Assignments are engaging and exciting, with videos and discussion areas that are not boring. It is a well-organized course!

Dr. O'Donnell is a great professor. She really knows the platform used for her online classes. Her grading criteria is clear and she offers great feedback. There are a lot of opportunities for extra credit. All lectures are posted online for easy viewing. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in psychology. You will learn a lot.

Lots of lectures, decent amount of work. Always show up for class or you will miss needed notes for exams. She reviews EVERYTHING you need to know for exams. Would definitely recommend, learned a lot from her!

I love their grading techniques. Teaches through lectures but at a good pace so you understand and can write things down. Cares about how you're doing in and outside of class. Very nice even just to talk to. Very easy to participate and ask questions when you need to. Not very hard assignments and you can decide whether you want exams online or not

Very lecture-based. Must read the chapter every week and give a question for the "muddiest points" (It is how she does her lectures). All work and quizzes are based on the textbook and her lectures so take notes. Gives you a term paper due at the end of the semester. Gives good feedback and is there to help if needed.

She is great, provided free online textbook kept things interesting in class and graded fairly. You can tell she loves her job and strives to help her students just do your work and put in the effort to her class and its an easy A.

Professor O'Donnell is by far my favorite psychology professor at NVCC. Her lectures for abnormal psych are very interesting, she has lots of experience and will help answer any questions. If you are interested in psychology I highly recommend taking her class. Participation/Attendance is important and her exams are online.

very clear and easy to understand. she's very straightforward and sweet. She responds very quickly to emails. She gives her exam questions in advance which helps. Her exams are 3-4 questions but a little long. 1 essay was required. this class was for lifespan

IF YOU SEE THIS..... TAKE THIS CLASS!! She gives so many extra credit options, you can use a note sheet during the test. Which i make every time but shes so good at teaching that as long as you show up you wont even need it.I have over an A+ in this class with all the extra credit and have received A's on all my exams.

She was great! It was confusing on how to use the text book but just assume your using the text book and notes for assignments! I wish I got more feedback but other than that she was great and gave us lots of extra points which helps if you need it. Life happens and it helps if you accidentally missed assignments. Wish I took her in person!
