Ms. Samoki's class was the easiest one i have ever had. She it's a very caring teacher, and i never ever studied or prepared myself for class and i got a B

I really enjoyed Ms. Samocki's class, there were no tests and everything was group oriented. So basically you have fun while your learning. I had the best time in that class because my group became really close and we started hanging out outside of class.

Great teacher, although there are no tests, the speeches that you give are all she cares about. She wants you to learn how to actually present a speech, and as a supplemental go over the text. If you have the Friday night class, DON'T ASK TO LEAVE EARLY

She is an excellent teacher. She is funny and helps put you at ease when you are speaking. I loved her class and I highly reccommend her.

Very supportive and encouraging, comfortable atmosphere. Expects you to be prepared, but her grading is more than fair. She makes speech class bearable.

Samocki owns Valencia. She is down to earth, kindest, most intellegent Professor of Valencia and I took a lot of courses thus far. She supports you if your nervous for speeches and group work is fun. Samocki is an Icon.

She is a little scatter brained at times and can make you confused, but is always willing to help. She is the nicest and funniest professor. Take her if you think you can keep up...lots of group based things!

She is one of the best teachers out there! She has a great attitude toward her students, always happy and friendly. The public speeking and interview skills you learn from her will really help you outside the classroom. She is AWSOME!

Best attitude towards teaching I have ever seen. She made me feel so comfortable with every single person in the class, and in the end, I have no problem giving a speech; and I came out of it with about 10 new friends. Her intelligence may surprise you. A lot of group work, but overall a great class

Samocki is a GREAT speech teacher. The class consisted of 3 "alone" speeches & 3 "group" speeches.I wouldnt bother buying the book, HOWEVER you do need the required packet b/c EVERYTHING "IS IN THE PACKET!" Good luck getting in her class. Also try to get in a GOOD group; it WILL make a difference!

you cant just sit there and get an A, but I pretty much did just about nothing and got a Low B. If you show up to class your pretty much gaurenteed a C so good luck with her, even though you dont need it. p.s. looks aight for an older lady, not hot though.<br>later-<br>Silenced

OMG! I love kim! she is so awesome I think i had fun everyday in her class. I hate giving speeches but it was awesome in her class! she grades fair and you can definitely get an A in her class. I would recommend her, speech sucks anyways but she makes it not so bad...promise

That was the best class I have ever taken and I dont like going to class. There are no test all of your grades are based on your speeches. She is very nice and you have a lot of group work and also have many discussions with the class. The best teacher to take for speech even beter the Bosley.

Ms. Samocki is the most wonderful teacher @ Valencia I have doing speeches but if it's in her class I'd do it again anytime!!!!!! Make sure u turn in your outlines!!!!

She was a nice and enjoyable teacher.All you have to do is your work of course and show up for class.Make sure you practice and dress up for your speeches,it does make a difference in your grade.I dont think the book was really needed.There were no tests.Just plenty of xtra credit opportunities.

I completely enjoyed this class. She makes learning extremely fun and interesting as well as integrates unusual methods for taking a rather dull subject and making it enjoyable. I highly recommend her for a professor.

She is an awesome teacher! I have had her for a couple classes, and she never fails to care about the student. It is really easy to get an A in her class. If for whatever reason you miss an assignment dont lie, just tell her honestly and you'll be suprised how fair she is. She has a son in college, so she understands.

She is awesome, I don't regret taking her class and you won't either. Just do your work and you'll do just fine in her class. There is no reason to drop out of her class and if you, then your just not capable of doing easy work in her class. She's the best Speech teacher, I recommend her to everyone who needs to take this course.

Lat minute speech class taker, TAKE IT W/HER!!!She is very nice, as long as you do the assignments,you will get an A. I had to miss last assignments and missed quite a lot of class meetings, But I got B!!TAKE IT WITH HER

I had a blast in this class. she is clear and goes by the syllabus. 4 speeches and 2 company research group projects. She is a lot of fun and makes class interesting! I passed with an A. I would definitly recommend her to anyone!

best prof at VCC! Everything you need to know is in her packet. The assignments are clear and easy, but don't procrastinate. She won't take late work. But she is always willing to help if you take time to ask. She really cares about her students and I loved her!

If you want to graduate with an associate degree and need to take speech,you should take Prof. Samocki.That is a professor and she's pretty.She does not grade bad and you can easily get an excellent grade. She is the best! make sure you turn all papers on time because she does not accept late papers.She gives alot of extra credit.You can get an "A"

If you want to make a lifelong friend while learning information this is the class and professor to take. I love her with all my heart and she is the most down to earth individual that anyone can meet. Did I also say that she is HOT (for an old bowling alley chick)her optimistic attitude makes you want to come to class even after binge drinking.

The reason this class was so awesome was because she has a GREAT personality and you know from the beginning what is expected. Do exactly what she ask and there is no way you can't pass. I loved her!!!

Don't worry about your fear of public speaking, this teacher makes you feel comfortable. She is a first class teacher. She is intersting to listen to. Lets you know what is expected. You can not fail.

yeah definitely take her over any other speech teacher...grades easy on the speeches does make you do a lot of group stuff so make sure you get in a good group....just did lots of fun exercises make the class very enjoyable...loved her prolly my favorite teacher at valencia

I had lots of inhibitions about taking this class and put it off until my last semester because I hate public speaking. Samocki is the perfect professor for speech. She's easy and understands your fears, etc. There are 3 major speeches and a mock interview. There's also lots of group work. Take her if you get the chance.

This professor is just the best. Just make sure you turn up for speeches and hand in all assignments before lecture. Otherwise she is fun. I had alot of fun in the class even though I have a tough time speaking infront of people. If you are like me, then take her. You will never regret!!!

Easy A if you do all the group work and do the speeches. Just do not miss class, she counts off for that but easy A.

Great Professor. Easy class, but she gives alot of assignments. If you are lazy and don't like to do work, then take someone else. Speeches were easy, but group work became difficult at times. Resume and Cover Letter part of class is very helpful to all students in her class, she really cares. Again, if you are lazy, don't take her!!!

Prof. Samocki is incredible. She does give quite a bit of work, but if you keep up with it, it's very easy. No textbook, all on WebCT. 3 speeches, 1 group project (very time consuming), and an interview. She makes public speaking very comfortable, and she makes you comfortable around your classmates. I would definitely recommend her!

Great! Makes you comfortable with your class, decently organized, tells you pretty much exactly what she expects, lots of extra credit opportunities, doesn't freak out if you miss a class but attendance is important to keep on top of things. You do have a decent amount of work though, but it is not hard work. Easy A if you try just a bit.

Read all her assignments, do all the work, show up to class, do the group work. Shes pretty nice but very clear in what she wants so DO IT and youll do fine.

If speech is your worst fear. Take Ms. Kimberly Samockie. She is very understanding. She is easy to get a hold of, returns all e-mails within the same day. As long as you do the work and follow the speech packet. You'll have an A. But you have to show up for the speeches. Take the class you really get your moneys worth.

Mrs. Samocki was by far one of the best teachers I have ever had in College. I didn't meet one person ever that had a negative thing to say about her. As long as you follow the speech guidelines you'll be fine. If you attend and give speeches you'll be gold. Tests are very simple.

She is absolutely AMAZING &the best speech professor! I was absolutely terrified of talking in front of people but I actually looked forward to going to her class and giving my speeches. I also talked to friends who were taking other professors for speech and I know they did not even compare to Mrs.Samocki.

There are NO TESTS, MIDTERMS or FINALS! She doesn't believe in giving them.Attendance is its own seperate grade, so you pretty much have to be there. Take her!

Professor Samocki started as a high school teacher and it shows. Taking this class made me feel as if I was in high school again with how planned out and tedious the class was. You give your speeches but you can't improve since there is no additional instruction between speeches. Easy class but you'll leave wishing you had taken a more adult class.

Wow! I am assuming the student below took a hybrid course where students only come to class once a week to give speeches. Everything else is online so if you cannot improve, it may be because you didn't read the feedback or materials provided? Maybe hybrid was not the right choice for you. It's unfortunate that good planning is viewed as tedius.

Ms. Samocki is the best! She is really nice. I had her for speech and she makes it fun to give a speech, even if you are nervous. She is fairly easy at grading and she even gives extra credit if you dress nicely on the day you present! Lots of group work... fun class. Wish I could take her again. Highly recommend. Best teacher ever! Literally everything was in the syllabus so we knew what to expect. A lot of time given to prepare for speeches and always willing to help you with anything, anytime. I actually learned a lot about public speaking and communicating as a whole and my class was so much fun!

I love samoki! She was the best. I took her for a flex start summer course and it was crammed but she makes the work fun. I am a horrible student but I got an A. You still have to do all your speaches and assignments but you won't dread doing them. The work is easy and she's very nice when it comes to grading your speaches. She rocks!!!

obviously no one wants to take speech and ms samocki knows that. she makes giving your speeches comfortable and you will never feel intimidated by her ever. there are three main speeches, a group speech and your final is a group project in interview form. i thought i was going to hate this class, and i am so sad to leave it! Could not have asked for a better teacher. I've been putting Speech of for almost 2 years & was so scared to take it but she makes it so easy and the enviroment is comfortable. Online portion is super easy and she always replies to emails. SOOO Many EC chances, she grades fair..Barely used the book-so I say don't buy it. But she was amazing!

You will not need the book for her class, just the class packet which is 8 dollars. The class is easy! They only thing I would see a bit hard would be understanding the class work somethings on webct. The best way is to talk to her face to face and she will help you right on it right away! It helps to talk and well as ask other in class.

If you are shy or lazy this class is not for you! This clas you need to talk and stay on top of things by talking to the teacher or talking to other students. Teacher is very good on emailing back fast and answering your questions. Get to learn a lot from others and their speeches. As well as learn from your mistakes and fix them.

Professor Samocki is a great professor! Speech is not typically anyones favorite class but she makes the class much easier and less stressful. I took her hybrid class. There was work that you need to keep up with but not too much. only 3 speeches and an interview. She is very good at emailing back and doing whatever she can to help! SHE IS AWESOME!

If your worried about taking speech, take her! She's amazing,really helpful and answers emails super quick. Hybrid class has a lot of hw assignments,but if you put effort and time into them, you'll ace them. I found my grade centered more on effort and time put into the assignments/speeches rather then my public speaking ability. Received a high A.

Most of the reviews on here make the class sound like an automatic A, but it's not. You have to keep up with the work & even though it's all pretty easy, there's ALOT of it. Professor Samocki is a great, great professor though & she's very helpful, friendly, & funny. Plus, she always looks fierce as heck. :) Just do ALL the work & you'll get an A.
