If you're looking for easy, no studying required exams, relatively interesting lectures and a simple straightforward project, then Kim's your woman!
She is OK when it comes to understanding what she is lecturing. The problem with this teacher is that she does not clearly pinpoint what she is looking for in the assignments. She's an average prof but marks a little unreasonable.
Found her great at first, and horrible as the course progressed. Funny at times. Has the worst taste in clothing. Terrible explanatory capability. Totally unacceptable of new or discordant ideas. Tough exams and projects, poor marks for all-a rule.

The people who claim that Kim Snow is a good professor are those who were favored by her. If she does not know you, you will basically get a low mark than others. She does not teach anything and expects you to know everything.
She is clear in her lectures however doesn't specify what she wants in the large assignment. U get a fairly low mark as a result. She likes creativity and tries to make the class short and sweet to keep everyone interested. Marks a little hard though. Final exam is WEIRD and can really screw you up.

Who wanna get an A without studying, take her class... just follow her rules in case studies, u'll get a B by copying her formal answer, B+ with little creativity, A with brand new ideas...no need to buy the textbook.. im not an active person in class, never speak in front of class.. but still got a A in 4275, B+ in 4250.

Pretty good teacher. Creativity in presentations go a long way. Be concise and direct about what you present and tests. Then you will do fine.
lectures are short, tests are hard as F$#%, she does not go by the book so its good to know only a brief idea of what the chapters talk about, lectures are more important... overall good class but very hard tests

If you understand what she wants from you, you'll do good, she doesn't want you to work hard, and waste your time on reading boring chapters. She wants you to have fun learning, and you will if you understand her demands. I would recomend this professor.
Dont bother reading the textbook...its useless. She has really short lectures - 45 mins. When it comes time to study for exams you really dont know what to study. shes very subjective and unclear. be very creative on presentations - group project could mess up your mark completely.
I really enjoyed her class because she used her real life experience to make the class more interesting. She told funny stories and the made the class environment very comfortable. However the one thing i hated was the fact that there was little description in how to do her assignments and the difficulty of the overall course.
Alhtough she is a fun teacher, and keeps everyone awake, her exams are not relavent to what was taught in class.

While she is absolutely fun to listen to and you'll have fun doing the your group presentations, taking her class is taking a gamble on your mark simply because she doesn't give much direction in terms of what she expects on assignments, mid-term and final are both not to difficult (Final only takes 10-30min for most of the class)
Like the others said - do NOT buy the textbook, do NOT write the midterm! Please focus on the cases and group project, that's where the marks are. Just focus on WHAT SHE WANTS. I didn't write the midterm, had a group that did nothing, worked my butt off on the project and attended the LAST THREE LECTURES, and here I am with an A+

I had her in last sem for 2200...i did good in the group project and mid term. her problem is she grades the final acc to her own unique way.we dont even see the final exam after its graded..i wud not recommend this prof to any1 who has a choice of taking 2200 with any other prof..no textbook usage..no structure.!!
The worst prof ive ever had. Ive been a straight A student for years and I got a C+ in intro to marketing. Her class is seemingly easy, no structure, no explaination, shes a nice person but outlines no expectations. You will be suprised with your final mark I promise. If you can take this course with another prof.

She cannot answer a question for her life, and seemingly gives out marks blindfolded. She's all smiles and nice, but cryptic with regards to her expectations.
No structure, no explanation, no outlines on expectations. She is very nice in class, and goes though case studies, but final exams will blow you away. Very different then anything discussed. A students became C after exam. No reasoning for anything. She catches everyone off guard. I wouldn?t take her again, I don?t like surprises.
I've never had a better prof. Kim taught many of my classes 10 yrs ago. The key to getting gd grades from her is understanding what she says in class, not memorizing stuff from textbook. You need to using your brain to THINK. You'll appreciate this when you enter the workforce, cos there won't be textbook teaching you how to handle situations.
She was the best Business professor I've ever had. So helpful, and extremely interesting. I highly suggest anyone interested in Marketing take a class with her. She was the reason I switched into Marketing.
Kim Snow is a delusional hypocrite, who consistently assures you of your excellence and later gives you a C. Her lectures have no structure; Snow is unclear; her expectations do not correlate with the assignments or tests. I didn't open the book a single time. Don't go to the midterm and your mark will be omitted. Don't take this prof.

This class is HARD because the mood in it is always easy, and some forget that they're in university. The key to her class is CRITICAL THINKING. You have to know what question to ask to get value from her help. Term project is HARD, because you can't find a sample. Breadcrumbs, but no templates, no filling in blanks, just YOUR HARD JUDGMENTS.
She doesn't teach u anything. You don't need to attend class because all she does is read of the slides. She never clearly explains anything. She gave everyone an A on their presentations even tho some were way better than others and some groups spent much more tima and effort on them than others.

I definitely regret taking her. She'd teach for 1/2h for a 3h class, give minimum guidance and just read through her powerpoints. Her grading scheme is incomprehensible and u can never predict what u're going to get. if you wanna keep your GPA up, run away from her!!!
great instructor. some one said never gives an A, not true..I got an A in both her classes and will be taking another w/ her. i had her for marketing and i can see why some people rated her so low. It is true that she only reads off her powerpoints extremely fast but as long as u read the textbook then you should be fine for the midterm. The term project is on your own, it is worth 50% of ur mark. She is an okay prof overall, she is nice but does not teach in detail.

Her lectures are really short but she makes sure that you understand everything and only goes through the points that are important. for group projects she marks the written part hard but everyone gets an A for the presentations. I scored extremely high on the midterms and finals - all B+ and A+ marks. When it came to the group project, no one gets above a C+, so it brought down my mark a lot. Not worth taking the course with Kim Snow. Try another professor with a fairer marking system if you are a good student. Not at all impressed with her.
I DID EXTREMELY WELL ON THE MIDTERMS, AND ON THE FINAL EXAM - A+ AND B+ MARKS, BUT THE GROUP PROJECT BROUGHT DOWN MY MARK A LOT, BECAUSE THE GRADING ISNT FAIR. The worst prof ever! She does NOT explain her material, and finishes her lectures within 30 minutes into class, and doesnt do anything useful for the rest of the 2.5h. There is a 50% assignment that brings everyone's mark down, because we dont even get to pick the group, and the report is very unclear of what you have to write about.
Course is easy, same with exams. However, it seems like no matter what, you'll only get a satisfactory mark on your group project report that pulls your overall grade down.

Do not take her class is you want a good grade to pull up your average. She will comment excellent on your group report (50% worth), but give your nothing more than a D. This totally drags down your overall grade. Do not take her class, she will not respond for a review once after the final.

Seriously, you think she's nice but the grading is so random and arbitrary that the class is NOT WORTH IT. I hate when profs don't provide a fair system for grading and expectations!! She comments that group projects had almost no mistakes and were "very well done" but no As! Exams are very unclear and highest mark was low! Don't risk her class!
Lectures are very simple. Group project is fairly easy, everyone in the class got a good mark there. I spent an hour max working on the project. The exams are basically entirely textbook based. She's a fair marker.
Horrible AVOID! wastes time copying the textbook into her powerpoints only to skips half of them during lecture, doesn't tell you her expectations on assignment worth 50% clearly, and when you do everything right, you still get below a C+, doesnt give exam reviews either, my class got the worst class avg on the midterm in her 20 years of teaching

I took the course in summer so was not that tough. But be careful with the group project. It is nice if you get a good group, otherwise it sucks. Group project is worth 50% and prof doesn't give you enough feedback on it. So its gonna bring your grades down no matter how hard you work for mid n final exams.
Kim Snow is clearly experienced in the real world of corporate marketing. Her slides are simple and she skims through them in the class. Literally every question in the two exams is repeated from the testbanks. Would have easily gotten an A+ if not for the 50% group project (prez + report). No need to attend class if you're not working on the proj.
Kim Snow's lectures are useless. She won't teach you anything relevant that will appear on the exams. On the other hand, she is very helpful towards the project and gives excellent feedback. Her tests are very easy as they just repeat the questions straight from testbanks. Textbook was not even needed.

Introductory marketing is supposed to be an easy course but she made it tough. Group project is where she screwed us up, we had a very good group and did really well on group project and she kept saying that u guys are doing excellent and in the end we didn't even get 70% on the group project. Friendly/funny prof but hard/slow marker- says "well done" to B graded work. For an A,avoid fluff and provide creative but feasible solutions. Attendance isn't mandatory. Highly recommended- class is fun/short and you're not memorizing but are learning applicable stuff. Diff to most profs but in a good way.
She doesnt really teach in class tbh, but just do the test banks and you should be ok for the midterm and final. 90% of qns come from the test bank (all tests are mcq only). she's kind of a hard marker with the group project (worth 50%) but otherwise I was happy to take her class.
The professor gets easily off topic and tends to rush through the lecture, an supposed to be 3 hour lecture usually lasted anywhere between 1 hour to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Not recommend to take the course with this professor.
Her exams are all mc, do the reading of the textbook and surely you'll pass, she likes to skip a lot of the slides, but they're straight from the textbook, so as long as you read you're good. gives good feedback on the group project
Midterm &f final were fairly easy (both worth 50% ) but the group project screwed everybody up (worth the other 50%). Kim gave very little guidance to doing the project aside from '12pt font, use subheadings, have a clear voice and be enthusiastic.' Gave my group a 60 despite having her actually saying our draft was 'excellent and very creative'
Dr. Snow was an amazing marketing professional and mentor. I worked with her as one of the co-founders to launch the first American Marketing Association Student Chapter at York University. She is one amazing strategic leader with a passion for marketing. I learned a great deal from Dr. Snow. Thank You!
Horrible. Absolutely horrible. A lecture supposed to be 3 hours is done in just a single hour (so lot of stuff is glossed over or skipped) and her grading system is just bad. Almost like it's based entirely on her mood. The grading for group report/project will be the big hitter. Don't bother with her as a prof, the textbook will be a better prof
Read the testbanks because 95% of the questions are directly from there. The key to getting a good mark for the group project is to BE INVOLVED. As long as you contribute, are friendly, and actually respond to messages, you wont have to worry about team members screwing you over. Everyone says she is a hard marker but I disagree- she was fair.
I like her as a prof. She's very chill and friendly. For the midterm and final you just got to read the test banks. The book is more like something you read for fun because the tests are analysis question and not taken from the textbook. I suggest you take this course during the summer because it's more likely you'll have better group members
Won't answer questions on the paper, and even if you do well on the paper (as written by her comments) be prepared to receive a bad grade for it.
This prof is very irresponsible for student. 3hr lecture just talk less than 1 hr, and all the content just read through PPT. Very hard test in both midterm and final, the group project also grade very strict. Never choose her class!
She has to be the absolute worst prof ever! She does not care about her student's at all. I got mugged a day before her classes started and as a result missed it, in order to file police reports etc. I informed her and she did not care the slightest, she FORCED me to drop the course and said she wont allow me to attend cause i missed her class!
Its been a true honour taking her class, she is an amazing professor, very kind caring and knowledgeable. This was a really easy course. Kim is easily the worst prof I've had. She gives grades arbitrarily with no structure or explanation - 2 papers with similar answers can have very different marks. She further gives no helpful feedback or advice when it comes to projects and teaches for an hour tops. Great class for an easy B but unbearably frustrating otherwise.
Not only is your grade 60% from a group project, you are also GRADED by your peers! If people give you a low grade, it actually increases their grade! Also her lectures are 30-40 minutes long but then her exams are insanely specific and not at all covered in class. Memorize your whole textbook if you want a good grade!
30 minus finish 3 hours course
pray you get a good group for your assignment/project. the exams are so easy but the assignment (as easy as it seems) dropped everyone's grades. she doesn't even reply to emails or let you know what you did wrong. she also didn't tell us what time our exams were and told some students a completely different time than others. just stay away from her
Its all good until the exam. I had 2 exams in her class and both of them contained 100 questions in 60 mins. This means, you only get 40 sec to answer each question. Had to guess most of the questions because I was running of time and failed both of my exams. She doesnt care about her students.
Absolutely devastated about this course. Would have loved to learn about marketing but the two exams contradict everything and we are taught nothing!
100 questions and 60 minutes, Thats 36 seconds per question, even if you study your best, absolutely no chance that you can get an A+. 60% weightage to the group project, she will NOT grade you well regardless of how good your answers or presentations are.
her tests are brutal! 100m/c in 60 min. for the midterm and final. You don't even have time to read the question properly. a lot of the mark is group work and if you have a bad group- goodluck.
She wasn't an understanding professor. She only read off the slides and wasn't very helpful or accessible via email. She gave everyone similar grades and didn't care about not giving enough time for exams. Questions for the exam were very practical and did not cover much from the textbook that she used in the lecture. Would never take it
