As long as you do the readings and watch the learner films you will do great in this class.

She is a great teacher. She explains what is going on very well and is sure that you understand. She does lecture so you will take plenty of notes but I feel that she really wants to help anyone pass. You only read pieces of chapters for quizzes and test. The reading suck but the tests are very difficult just put some effort in.

She was a really nice teacher. The lectures were interesting I never felt bored unless we were watching a movie. This class consisted of four easy tests, online quizzes, one research paper, one reaction paper, and lots of extra credit. The tests were not hard but you will need to study some. You can miss some classes and still pass. Good Luck

She's a very good teacher. She has 4 tests and she gives study guides for you to fill out. You must take notes because you use them for your study guides and it was pretty easy. She also gives bonus questions for tests for you to study for. The final felt like a normal tests with a little bit longer essay question but she gives you the topic before

Ms. Ball is a nice person but not a great teacher,she makes you take plenty notes from her Power-point lectures while she walks and talk She gives 4 test including the final, there are a lot of extra credit online,When you are testing she walks the whole time which is sicking and i am glad her class is over I would not recommend her at all RUN

I really wish students would tell the truth on this class,the class was hard because you have to remember to many short id's,Essay's, 1page summary & multiple-choice questions. She will not volunteer in telling you where you stand in her class,she walks during testing huffering over you to catch you cheating. I would not reccommend her to NO ONE!!

This professor is very clear with the grading criteria, really spoke history and the importance of it. 4 Tests which were pretty easy plus extra credit on each test. Only 2 essays one short, and one 3 pages. You could pass with little effort.

Ms. Ball is a awesome and easy professor. She is true to the meaning of if you do the work you will pass. He assignments are pretty easy. Her essays are easy to pass as well as she gives you the opportunity to turn in a rough draft and she gives you feedback for what she expects for the final copy. Tells you what you need to know for the test.

I took the 8-week class. Will not pass without reading, but the book is easy to follow and she gives two-three weeks between each test. There is one research paper, but it is not hard. I would totally take her again

I took her class online while maintaining two other courses, a full time job, and a social life. Her tests were easy to study for, and her assignments were very easy to understand. This was a great course, and she is a great teacher. I'm taking her again in the spring!

Ball's 8 wk class required in-person testing, but you don't get this information until you've registered. She requires too much work: Discussions, 5 exams on 4 chps from 2 book- that's 8 chps total. A research paper that you submit twice. Once for initial grade & then you incorporate her comments for resubmission. Quiz from each chapter.

I loved her! She's very clear on the assignments she gives out so there's no confusion. There is 1 research paper but she makes it very easy to get an A. Her class does require effort though. She keeps lectures interesting and doesn't go off track. Here and there she would make a joke which was nice

I love Professor Kimberlee sooo much!! She's literally one of the most amazing professor I've ever had. Not once where her lecture was not interesting, she just made everything exciting. I took her History 1301 and 1302 class. Her class is not hard as long as you take the time to do the review over night or a day before the exam.

hmm, very specific on what she wants. But not for a mini-mester its not grade to take her. so much work in so little time. too much work. not very considerate that its a 3 week course

She was a good teacher but it is a lot of work for a minimester. You will have readings and a paper, group project and a reaction paper. But the paper, group project and reaction are pretty easy if you actually do it right. The reading were a bit difficult. You get clear study guides for the test so if you study that you will pass.

Great professor, truly clear about what's expected & made it all quite easy to understand. Taking this a summer online class the material was condensed, however she even offered a mock schedule in order for us to accomplish it all by given time. Lots of extra credit offered, lots of great feedback. Easy to contact her. Just a great class.

Professor Ball is by far my favorite professor!!! She gives so much extra credit that to not pass means you simply didn't try. Her syllabus is clear in what she expects of you and it's an Easy A. Buy the book! Study for the test, and if that doesn't help do the EC!!!! Guarantee you'll pass.

I loved every minute of her class. She is extremely knowledgeable, and friendly in addition, her lectures are very interesting. I learned so much in her class, she provides you with a syllabus and follows it, so her expectations are clear. She offers a ton of extra credit work which helps. This class is actually HARD!!! 5 exams, group project, two papers and so many other assignments however she provides extra credit but it is not much( there only worth 2 points) and some are worth 10 points

Professor Ball is a great professor online. She's accessible and she designs her class syllabus in favor of her students. She does not want you to fail. She does have a heavy workload that is divided up into sections for you to complete at your own pace. Inquizitive was great for the 3 proctored exams and she offers extra credit.

If you have a fulltime job I would not recommend taking her. There is 2 papers, about 4 or 5 test, a group project, and you have 2 text books to read. There is a lot of course work. She is a very hard grader. I will say she is good about responding to emails. She also records her lectors which is nice but I will defiantly not take her again.

I took her for a Summer session. I loved her class, she gives really entertaining lectures and is easy to approach to ask questions. There is a lot to read of course since its a history class. I definitely recommend her.

If you love history, you will love this class. You can tell she loves what she does. You will have a decent amount of work but she is a fair grader. I would take again.

Professor Ball was a great instructor. She followed her syllabus so study it well. At first I did not like the class because I took it in the summer along with another course so I was swamped with school work. Make sure you read everything, It will help you pass! Take advantage of the extra credit, you might miss it if you don't attend class.

Professor Ball has been one of the most considerate professors that I've had so far during my college career. I had her for a late start online class since Lone Star Kingwood flooded. As long as you read and do the work it is an easy grade. we've had 2 essays but they were very easy. 10/10 would take again.

Hardest class I've ever taken. I am one to put in a lot of effort and this class was the worst. Professor Ball does not help you in any way. Our class averages on assignments are barely passing. The group project is not explained very well. Course load is way to much for an online minimester. If you have a job or multiple other classes DO NOT TAKE.

Professor Ball isn't too difficult if you actually take the time out of your day to read her syllabus. It was a little difficult for me to keep up with a few deadlines, but nothing too difficult. She is easygoing in grading some assignments. Get ready to read a ton of chapters and mini quizzes afterwards. Great professor for an online class!!!

I took this class online. Professor Ball is a great professor. She is clear with when assignments and exams are due and clear regarding the grading criteria. She posts lectures and gives extra credit. The research paper was not too bad, she gives time to edit, I did not like the group project but enjoyed the class overall.

I took her for spring semester online and it felt like a lot. You have to read because the quizzes and exams are based from the book. There's a couple of papers you have to write and a group project. Towards the end of the semester it felt like less.

Professor Ball is a great teacher, but you will have to work for your grade! There is a lot of reading involved from two different books and two papers,a group project as well as around 4 quizzes and 1 test per each unit. You can definitely pass, but it is a lot of work to do. Although it is a lot of work the material is very interesting.

Professor Ball, truly an amazing professor. I never understood history, nor was interested in it, until her class. The class does use 2 textbooks, but literally she gives study guides and exactly whats on the study guide is on the test. She is SUPER NICE, and VERY FUNNY. She makes the class feel comfortable and fun. Definitely would recommend 100%

Unless you are lucky enough to not have to work, & have limited mandatory activities in your life, DO NOT take a mini/summer online class with her. She seems like a good prof. for an in person course, but is obviously tired of lazy D2L students & makes it clear we must pay for it with her course load. I had been in her class for some time now and I really love how she teachers her class. She has high expectations for students, yet she is caring and hilarious too. I tutored some of her classes and she hasn't change much on her lectures and assignments. She has always made her students read the required textbooks and a researched essay.

Absolutely great teacher but she does give out a lot of work. You need the for the record book but you don't really need the textbook. As long as you do her work on time and try to do good on the work/ test there is no reason as for why you should fail. Funny. good/interesting lectors.

Professor Kimberlee is a positive, funny, respectful teacher. However, her classwork consists of quizzes, group projects, exams and papers. In her class you have to work extra hard, certainly, she may not grade hard on all the projects and papers. There are certainly other profs who teach the same class that don't have so much unnecessary work.

She Was one Of My Favorite Teachers. she is Very Understanding. I Enjoyed Learning about stuff I Never Knew ... It it A Lot Of Work But she Gives You Weeks to complete Each Unit , so Its on Your Own Pace & Plus If the class is Short , she HAVE to cram All The Work In . I Passed With a B.

Do not take her class. she gives you reviews, but half of the test is not even in the review. she makes you read the textbook by yourself because she wont go over it in class, and half the tests are over the book. she gives too many essays. you have to attend two lone star presentations and is required.

There's A LOT of assignments but it wasn't that bad. I hate History, but I ended up taking her for both HIST 1301 & 1302. There's a lot of assgn reading but you take tests online so it's easy to search the book while you take the test! If you're having problems she's more than happy to help. I recommend the 8wk class bc it's over before you know it

This has been the toughest course ever! she is a fast talker so be prepared to have heavy ears on listen and when she grades us in class she starts everybody with an F and we have to work our way to an A . there is so much homework and lectures. Try not to distract her or distract class she will be really angry and kick you out of class

If you're going to take this professor, take her online! It's a regular workload and she's very sweet. I used Quizlet on all of her tests and passed, never once read the textbook or read any of the powerpoints and got a B+ without extra credit. She does offer A LOT of extra credit, she knows it's a hard class but it definitely isn't.

Also, gives extra credit opp. like presentations, etc. Paper of 3 pages; citation Turabian. Quizzes, around 5 questions used on test, study them! Study the book! group project easy!

Online; 3 divided sections. Free textbook online. Gives extra credit. Test recommended to be taken in school because if something goes wrong, she won't let you re-take. Written assignment, easy, citation turabian. Fast responses! No extra points for exam but extra credit for class. Gives video teachings of herself to help, but read the book.

Professor Ball was a great professor despite the crazy pandemic we are in. She wants the best for her students and does give chances to get a good grade. I was in a short term course so work was extra fast but she did always reach out when she had concerns. She does weekly/daily motivation posts which is great, you do not see too many do that.

Layout of online course is confusing. she send reminders often of work due/late assignments. she accepts some assignments late (except test). textbook is online for free. test are easy using the search tool of textbook. a few assignments had 2 different due dates for same assignment (a bit confusing). she responds quick, lot of extra credit chances

Kimberlee treats her class like an English class. You will write SO many papers so be ready. She grades like an English teacher. Aside from that, she isn't really lenient. If you make an 89, she's the teacher that will still give you a B. Group project SUCKS. I really regret taking her. She ruined my GPA.

Super cool professor! Would totally recommend her. She's super supportive and understanding, and her lectures are really interesting. Textbook is free; tests are kind of hard so study up- she doesn't do retakes/makeups if something goes wrong. She does plenty of extra credit though, so if you bomb it, it's easy to get back on track.

Took Professor Ball for both History 1301 & 1302. Both were online classes, which are ordinarily more difficult but her classes were extremely easy to navigate through D2L. Textbook is online / free - and her tests are literally word-for-word from the textbook. Fair grader, gives great feedback! One major group project but it's easy.

Generally don't know why anyone could give a 4. Class (hist 1302) with her was SOOO easy - tests are a joke, group project is so easy (literally just making an essay and adding main ideas to a powerpoint), assignments are so easy, she grades SO easy and gives points back - you get your history knowledge and yaddah yaddah, easy 5/5 for her

I loved this professor for HIST 1302. There is plenty of extra credit opportunities and really seems to care about her students. She's a super sweet lady I love her. There was a lottt of writing though, especially for an 8-week course. I struggle with history but she will help you. TAKE HER!

I have disabilities and this course was awful. P. Ball kept telling me that I was doing great, don't give up, and gave me the impression I was doing well. When she posted final grades, I failed her class. I do not recommend this professor.

I would 100% recommend Professor Ball! You have to be willing to do the work- but she will support you regardless and work with you! I took her Honors Course and she makes it easy to work on the end of the semester. Also, the lectures are super fun (I mean, if history is your thing)!

I felt like I was taking english. I was taking an english class at the same time and she graded harder than my english professor. She gives a lot of extra credit which is needed for the work she has and is very communicative so those are some pros. But I would not take her class again.

This class was enjoyable. Professor Ball provides clear instructions and grading rubrics. She is very prompt with emails. Absolutely loved Professor Ball. She helped me through every step of the way and she answered very quickly to my emails. She gives a lot of extra credit which for the most part was really easy. Please take Professor Ball if you can you won't regret it, just do your work and you'll be fine.

I took her online and it was okay. We had a group project online and I had to be the one to reach out to the other people. That is the only complain I have. Overall, the class was not hard as long as you do the work.

Do not recommend this teacher; she has so much work that it is hard to keep up. She would post what due each week was, but each folder opened another folder full of work and new due dates that you must stay on top of. Also, her instructions are so detailed that you get lost in her request and so many essays. NEVER TAKE HER!

Prof. Ball's 6-week summer course had a big workload, including three papers and numerous assignments each week. We were also expected to study unrelated chapters for tests. There was a group project with various components, some I found unnecessary. If you have minimal job or time commitments, this class would be great for you.

Probably the best professor I've taken online at Lone Star. Very caring and gives many extra credit assignments. Test questions are straight from the textbook. Guaranteed A if you do all of your work. There are 3 tests, 1 paper, 1 group project, and content/reflection assignments. Communicates clearly and is always available. Definitely take her!!!

Professor Ball is amazing! As someone who gets overwhelmed easily by a ton of work, her class is super easy. She is really organized when telling you what to do each week. I love how she reminds you of due dates in her weekly announcements. Just pace yourself and manage your time and you will be fine. Plus she gives a ton of extra credit.

After having Professor ball for HIST 1301, I decided to take her HIST 1302 course. I was happy to know I would be having her as a professor again because she is caring and makes sure you are doing well. The difference between HIST 1301 & 1302 is that 1302 is slow paced, so there is not much to do each week. Just be sure to study and do your work.

Graded things in a timely manner, fair grader, gave great feedback, & offered extra credit. Assignments had detailed instructions and were actually beneficial & not just busy work. There is a group project even in online courses, which wasn't my fav, but luckily she was understanding and graded individually, rather than an overall group grade.

I took Prof. Ball for HIST 1301&1302 and I enjoyed both classes. She has a very organized class layout and syllabus. She posts weekly videos explaining the assignments that need to be completed. Answered all of my emails and provided many extra credit opportunities. She provides a free online copy of the textbook. I highly recommend taking her!

Professor Ball is organized but there is quite a bit of side work to be accomplished in this course. There is a TON of info in this course so it can be very difficult to memorize it all or know what to study. Prof Ball is amazing- responsive and caring. Provides optional quizzes on each chapter to help study, and there are some ec opportunities. Outside of tests, there's a research paper, group project (graded individually), and some easy quizzes.

Professor Ball is a terrific instructor. This class is structured in a way that gives you everything you need to succeed. She cares about her class as well as her students. This class utilized a free online textbook. There is a lot of reading, but as long as you stay on top of your work and try your best, this is an easy class. Highly recommend!
