Mrs. Wirig shows that she knows what she is doing. Too bad she is only part-time, I would like to take other classes with her. Her teaching style is not as harsh as other comm instructors, and she shows interest in her students.

Mrs. Wirig is helpful for me. She shows allot of interest in her students and will always help us.

Very interesting. She is willing to help students. All her lectures are very explanitory - unless class time starts to run out, then she rushes. Tests aren't bad at all. Assignments very do-able. I don't care for the group project but that isn't very difficult either. Good instructor over-all.

She is excellent,fair, & understanding.Just read the chapters and you'll get an "A".Lots of assignments but I loved her class.

Mrs. Wirig does know what she is doing, and she does it very well. Remember to do ALL the Extra Credit at every opportunity, even if you don't think you need it. DON'T FALL BEHIND and keep on task and you should do well.

I see that someone does not like Mrs. Wirig. I bet he refused to participate with the team or do any of the work and just expected to be handed a grade. Mrs Wirig is a VERY GOOD teacher who cares about each of her students. I've taken several of her classes and she is does a great job of explaining things and telling you what to expect.

I really liked Mrs. Wirig's style and willingness to help us understand the topics. Her straightforwardness was a welcome change to other teachers who will dance around the topics. She lays it out clearly.

I loved the class. It was lots of fun. I think the new book made it hard for her to make stuff clear.

Mrs. Wirig was very supportive and helpful. If I didn't understand something she took the time to explain it to me until I did understand it. I like the book. Sure maybe she needs to work out some bugs but she was even there for me when I needed some personal help. GREAT TEACHER!

Great Teacher! She really cares about her students. She's very clear - if you take the time to ask when you don't understand something.

She is a nice lady and makes the class interesting. Assignments weren't too difficult. She gives out study guide before test(very advantageous). We watched 3 movies in class; wrote a report on them.

I took Interpersonal from Wirig because I heard it was easy and I needed the GE credit. This class was actually interesting.

SHe is very helpful. I sometimes need extra help because I have a learning diablilty and she is alwys thre to help me.

I think Mrs. Wirig is a good teacher. She puts a lot of energy in her presentations and I have learned about myself and others in this class. Be on time and be prepared to take GOOD NOTES.

At first I was worried - a lot of assignments and group work. My group was GREAT and I really learned a lot about communicating in small groups.

Interpersonal was a Great experience with Mrs. Wirig as the teacher. I bet I can guess the complainers were the ones that didn't want to participate in the groups. I found Mrs. Wirig's instructions to be clear, and her teaching style related well to most students.

Complements for the best Teacher in Grossmont College. In a very short semester she solved my problems. She taught me how to be a better communincator. I wish she taught all my classes. She is very helpful. I cannot express how much I would like to complement for this instructor. My classmates and I agreed that she is the best.

Mrs. Wirig's Interpersonal class was a real help for me in understanding relationships. She was there to answer my questions and give direction to my problems. She was willing to listen to me and never turned away a student. Good Teacher

Small group comm was an OK class. The text was slow and repetive- the book could be sumed up in 3 chapters. The assignments were easy, but having to write 3 papers durring finals week was not fun. Overall the teacher was very nice and helpful but the class itself was borring.

Great teacher. Grossmont should hire her full time. Small Group taught me a lot about myself and about how others work in these types of situations. Mrs. Wirig did a wonderful job instructing us. Her assignments were clear and while the papers took some time the class was a wonderful experience.

Great class! Do the work, follow the syllabus and talk to her and you'll learn alot. My group was the best!

Great class! Changed my life. She teaches it like a self-help class so if you come in wanting to improve your relationships and you particiapte you'll go away with a lot more than you think. Following some of theguidelines given in class saved my marriage! Wirig is always there to help out - you just need to talk to her.

Great Teacher. Prof. Wirig gives us the tools for us to succeed. I was scared about working in groups, but she taught me self-confidence and gave constructive critcism of my projects. I look forward to more classes with Prof Wirig. If you take classes from her, participate, show up on time and get yout stuff in on time and you'll do fine.

Mr Wirig was always serious but he added humor to the class. Anytime you needed assistance with a project, he was right by your side. He helped me determine the order to take the courses in and he helped me develop a complete understanding and appreciation for Media Communications. His teaching and guidance were awesome. This class was truly an experience for me. Before I started this class I was concerned it would not be enjoyable but it has been one of the best classses I have had to take at Grossmont. The things we learned can be taken as great advice if someone really wants to improve their communication in relationships. Very informative & enjoyable.

This class was AWESOME!!! Best class I have had at Grossmont, I am going to miss everyone. I wish my Health class was the 8-week class not Kimberlee's Public Speaking class.

Ms. Wirig Is a great teacher, and if you are reading, and are thinking about taking her, then stop READING RIGHT NOW, and go back to the grossmont website, and click yes for her class. Trust me you won't regret it. By the way be careful of her quizzes they are easier they you may think. You'll see what i mean.

Some of the information she gives may seem like common sense at first but throughout a semester in her class you will find the information and practice WILL help you to become a better public speaker. Her quizzes are very easy, there are four speeches including a group speech that are easy if you just get up there and do it. Don't procrastinate!

Do the work, don't procrastinate, relax, ask questions if clarity is needed on what is expected and you will recieve it. Streight shooter. Loved the class she helps to make the class extremely comfortable for Speaking. Great class highly recommend.

I've taken classes from Wirig before and she is hands down one of the best teachers I have ever had. My only complaint is that most points are earned toward the end of the class. Wirig is fun and very willing to give extra credit-like, with the review. I LOVE her reviews. FUN and informative. She's understanding and helps whenever she can.

This woman could not be mean to save her life! With her class I felt like I was in high school again. She makes it fun and is on a good level with her students. The class is time consuming but not hard at all

LOVED it!!! Very understanding IF you talk to her. She can be strict but it you feel like having a blast learning and getting a grade for it take her. The media project was scary but I think it really helped me and my partner

I've taken other classes from her and loved them. Her classes are fun and I learn alot. She always tries to be available to help. Really nice teacher. She grades hard but if you send your stuff to her she'll work with you until you get it right and earn a good grade.

Took her before& loved It! Asked her about this class she said there was a LOT of work. Took it and she was right but best class I've Had. Learned aLOt and made some great friends. The only people that don't love this class Are people that don't work good in groups and have aBad attitude. Go with A good attitude be prepared to work & you'll love it

I thought I HATED group work! but this class has got me thinking maybe its not so bad. I learned and remember more than in any other class because we had to present chapters to our group and the class. WHenever I didn't understand something teach helped me. She was always there to help. Now, maybe group work not so bad. made great friends.

LOVED IT!! Wirig is understanding and works with her students. A word of warning: this class requires a LOT of work. Don't take it if you aren't ready to commit and spend a lot of time on this class. Fun, we spent time almost every class with our groups and learned how to work well with others.

OMG!! Such a hard teacher when it comes to grades. She took 10% of my paper because I mentioned the year of the movie I was analyzing. Then another minus 5 points for not having a word count. If you take her class, you better be on your Ps and Qs!!

Prof. Wirig MUST be taken at her word. If you do not religiously follow the instructions in the syllabus, you might as well forget about getting a good grade. She is unclear at times and is prone to making mistakes fairly often. Your best bet is to always ask for clarification. Do not assume you got it right unless she confirms it.

I was scared to take this class but she made it a bit easier to do. She was always there to let mepractice with her and so far im not doing as bad as i thought. just remember to talk about your clothes if you dont "dress for your speech".

I always hated group projects before this class but Wirig makes it fun. There's a lotof work but its clear why its needed. Very little busy work. make sure you getthe book and read. Don't miss class.

Took the class Spring 2015. Had trouble with my group but she was there to help. Very understanding. Lots of extra credit but you have to earn it. Only real negative lots of homework.

Mrs. Wirig is a great professor! She is very clear on all the assignments and is very organized. This class was actually pretty fun and interesting. She gives alot of extra credit options and the tests are pretty easy. There are some pop quizes and she is strict on due dates. Overall, this class is an easy A. I definitely recommend it!

Fun and relatively easy class if you don't mind or enjoy speaking to an audience. The lectures are somewhat interesting and useful. One great part of the class is that a lot of it is listening to speeches. Her syllabi for speeches will say you only need 8 sources for full credit but then 12 below in parentheses. Textbook is useless to you.

My FAVORITE class EVER!!! I will so miss this class but I'm going to keep in touch with my group. So FUN and at first I was scared and thought there was going to be a lot of busy work but every single assignment was needed. Now I know why I didn't like groups before. THANK YOU Mrs. W.

Definitely an easy A, I just didn't do well on the tests. Pop quizzes are a small percentage of the grading criteria. Be prepared to write, 3 assignments of "Analysis Relationships" one will be with a group project and the Media Project.

If you are trying to breeze through this class while getting the work done you will get a B. She is nice and kinda helps students. Majority of the class is group work and she will end up barely talking to us. Hopefully you get into a good group, usually they are all ok because the work is not that hard. Not a bad class and not a bad teacher.

As long as you show up, you will pass with an A. She is hilarious and provides projects to do that are fun and engaging. This is a class where you learn useful tools to apply to the real world. She is very fair and great at being a teacher!

This is a group class so be prepared to work in groups. I thought I'd hate that but the class is required so... I ended up loving my group. I learned a lot and had fun doing it. Definitely a must take.

I have a character limit, but I could write a novel about how incredible Wirig is. She genuinely cares about every single student, she wants everyone to do well, and she is extremely understanding of any extenuating circumstances. I took her for intercession, and I learned more in four weeks than I even thought possible.

Still in this class and LOVING IT!! She's SO understanding, So much that I am actually going to pass. She's been there for me all semester. And I've learned how to work with a groyp so next time it won't be so bad. I really enjoyed volunteering with the Food Bank and learned alot.

In this class, you will have assigned groups for the whole semester to help spread the workload and who you will present presentations with. She provides extra credit opportunities. There is one midterm exam and a final exam. Good choice for a GE class. Weekly journals due. Its an easy but tedious class will have to work for an A if that' your goal

This class changed my life! My boyfirend and I are getting along better because of what I learned in this class. Wirig is great! So understanding!

So it looks like people either love or hate Wirig. I must say I fall in the love category. I took this class a while ago but it really helped me get my stage fright under control.

She is a VERY HARD grader. I got a 95 but that was only due to the LARGE amount of extra credit she offers. I recommend taking her course in the intersession classes, this being because we watched movies and had more time in class to work with our groups for projects. A ton of activities are done in her class which makes it fun.

This class helped me in more ways than I thought possible. It has especially helped in my relationship with my bf. We now make a conscious effort to talk about uncomfortable topics in our relationship. Before this class, we were separated from each other and now are resolving issues we would normally set aside. I never thought I could better

One of the BEST teachers I have ever had! I had some family problems and she worked with me. Even offered to let me take an incomplete so I wouldn't get a bad grade. 2 big assignments. One is a group project but if you get a good group its easy. Always available when I wanted to meet.
