Very clear when it comes to instruction. She is always there to take questions and clarify ideas, approachable. Tests are not easy and you must study for them, but if you go to class and watch her explain things it becomes much much easier than it would normally be. Take her if you are interested in Stats and want to learn something.

OK, this teacher is awesome! She makes incredible lecture guides and I have never had a math teacher that could explain things so clearly. She does expect you to do a lot of hmwk. Online quizzes are easy if you read the book. Tests are right out of hmwk and sample tests. Not for lazy students just passing the time...great if you want to learn!

There is a lot of homework but she makes packets for class for notes. Very easy going about homework. Let's you have a few extra days if needed. Very leinient about test taking. The class itself is difficult but if you study you'll be fine. She will explain things again if you ask her to. Very nice woman. Math just stinks though. She's great

Very helpful woman! She has her own little jokes, too and makes Stats interesting such as "the (probability) bridge)". A lot of homework, but the homework will help you on the test. Quizzes are right out of the book, so no big deal about them. Take this teacher for Stats!!! You will at least get a B in this class :D

Mrs. Polly takes statistics and makes it very real-world. Easy to follow and understand. She actually makes you interested in statistics. You have to do the homework and pay attention in class, but she's very rewarding if you do what is expected. I would recommend her to everyone!

Lecture guides are great! Lots of homework, but if you do the homework you practically have to try to fail the class. Always willing to work with you outside of class. Students from other classes always asked for her help in the lab. Almost all students got As and Bs. She made it so easy to learn.

I took her online course. Amazingly organized! I had other online courses where it was read this section of the book, do the homework...repeat. She had and lots of other material. There was a lot of homework, but I think I need that. She was very good at responding to questions by email. Definitely would take her again.

I had this class 3 times in the classroom. Took online this summer and it was great. She has step by step videos for every example which made doing the homework a breeze. There is tons of online help, she answers email quickly and my questions on the board were answered immediately. I wish I had taken her 2 years ago!

She is an amazing teacher. Statistics is a tough subject, especially for people who have no interest in math, but she does her best to present material in a comprehensible way. Didn't use the book, but you have to buy it to get the online code which is where all the homework is located. She's approachable and super smart.

I took this course online AND the condensed 8 week. I know, I'm crazy. But I studied VERY hard. Ms. Polly is WONDERFUL! She is very helpful and understanding but she is a tough grader. The class is very tough. Make sure to go to class everyday. Definitely utilize the tutoring center.

I took this course online and although it was hard because I'm not a big math wiz, the instructor was very helpful. She did allow me to take an exam more than once if I had a hard time with it, and also, she allows you to take the practice exam multiple times. I felt that those were very useful in preparing me for the actual exam.

It was very hard class so far the hardest one I ever took at Harper College.You have to dedicate a lot of the time studing spesifically when you take it online over summer semester.

Best math professor I've ever had; Prof. Polly makes learning Statistics fun and a breeze. Although the textbook is useless, we use worksheets which are way more effective(something I wish other classes used). As long as you keep up with the homework and complete the practice tests, the class is an easy A :)

If you are a hard worker, she will be the easiest teacher. She gives a ton of supplemental practice tests/ problems. Her tests are pretty much the exact same as the practice test. If you do the work & study you should have no problem getting an A. Highly recommend Prof. Polly

I absolutely HATE math, but she is the best math teacher I have ever had. Her lessons are planned very well, she teaches in a style that makes the material very easy to understand, and she always makes herself available for those that need help. I took the 8 week online course and it was brutal. She expects way too much, especially her redundant homework notes - I guess she doesn't realize we have other courses to study for. I'm pretty sure the homework lowered my grade since it was a waste of time. In the end, do not take her because her weighting on the final grade is awful.

You can easily pass this class as long as you keep up with the work. There is a lot of work required for the online course but I feel it made me more successful in the class. Those who complained just were not willing to put in the effort.

The best teacher I had at Harper (I just graduated). The class is difficult but she has everything structured and is always answering questions. As long as you do the homework and lecture guides you should be ok. If you need to take Statistics this is your best choice.

If your gonna take a class with Mrs. Polly get ready for worksheets on worksheets. This class is not an easy A, and I worked my butt off to get one. But Mrs. Polly is extremely helpful and wants you to succeed. If I had to take another math class, I would take it with her.

I would rate her one of the best math professor at the harper college. All she excepts out of you is efforts. She is there for you if you are struggling. I do not understand how many students grade this class awsome.. Seriously? I took this class among two other courses. My Advanced Chemistry was easier than this class. Only because she expects for you to do 12hrs of homeworl minimum per week and makes you do homework on top of homework! Her notes YOU HAVE TO wrote or she will deduct 5% of ur Grade!

Prof. Polly is probably the most caring professor Ive had in college thus far. She is a very busy person being the head of the stats department but she will always have time to answer questions or make sure that you don't fall behind. The blended 4-credit course is 2 hours in the classroom per week, and 2 hours of online work per week. There are 1-2 hours of online video lecture per week, and 1-2 hours of online homework per week. There is a homework quiz every week to make sure that you watched the online lectures. If you do the homework, you will do well in the class.

Fantastic, incredibly intelligent Professor. She is easily accessible and willing to help. Large amounts of homework assignments and notes, which are beneficial for the tests. Tests are challenging, but with studying shouldn't be too hard. Extra credit is offered if you complete most of your homework assignments.
