Excellect Professor

Mrs. Adkins is an excellent teacher. She keeps it real simple. She teaches on a down-to-earth basis and makes her points very,very clear. I love her attitude. It really shows that she loves what she do. God Bless You, Mrs. Adkins!

I enjoyed Mrs. Adkins class very much. Time would fly because she kept it fun and interesting. Tests were a little demanding but you would leave the class knowing your stuff. Thanks Mrs. Adkins (are you sure you don't want to teach PSYC II?)

Professor Adkins made a class that should by all standards have been very boring not so bad, she made the course fun beleive It or not!

Very open to discussion on varying topics during the course. While she may disagree with an opinion, she doesn't put anyone down. Great intro for those just starting school or returning to school.

Psychology can be a rather boring subject depending on the way its taught. She made it really interesting. I learned so much. The class was really easy and I really learned a lot with her style of teaching. She is an excellent teacher.

Atkins is very helpful and easy to understand. The course is challenging and Prof.Atkins does not give grades. However, she explains the material in a simple style were any indivdual can learn. Oh yeah! She answers ALL EMAILS IN MINUTES(if sent after her working hours)! Take her course if you WANT TO LEARN.

The Professor was focsed prepared and organized. She created a fertile classroom setting with plenty of classroom participation by students. The Professor also used several helpful teaching tools such as, chalboard, puppets, copied handouts, videotapes and books.I would absoutely take another class with this professor.

extremely easy professor, she gives you an outline of the test a week before. Plus she doesn't take attendance. You can go for the first half get your assignments and leave during break.

You do have to take a**** ton of notes but she allows time to keep up. She presents the material very clearly and uses examples you can relate to. Great Prof.

Wonderful teacher and class

Lectures are fun and interesting. Exams are not that easy, but she provided us with review packets to aid us in our studies, which was a plus! Definitely take this class!

Professor Kimberly Adkins is a wonderfulteacher! She teaches in a way that makes it nearly Impossible to not recall information while testing. I work in the field of Social Services, and am constantly using the material I learned in both PSY210. I am going to miss coming to class and hearing all of the funny stories. Thanks Kim! ;-)

Easy class as long as you copy down the notes. She loves serial killers and you learn a lot about interesting, contemporary crazies. A little irreverent towards the subject but most people appreciate the light tone.

she is so nice. you do take a lot of notes but the test are easy she gives studyguides which make it easier. the final paper she is more worried about the layout than what you write.

I think she's one of the best professors anyone can have! She's really nice and easy. The only thing is that she gives a lot of notes. Fantastic professor!! She loves psychology and her students and is super hilarious and witty. There is a lot of note-taking, but her lectures are always very interesting and entertaining. If you complete and review the study guides she gives out there is no reason you shouldn't ace every test.

Professor Adkins, or Kimberly as she told us to call her, was an EXCELLENT teacher. At the beginning of the semester she told us how class was going to go and it did. Kimberly is nothing short of amazing! I highly recommend her to any student taking PSY101. Take ALL your notes and stay involved in class and you will definitely pass with an A. I had her for my PSY101, summer, Very knowledgeable, funny and great Professor. There is a lots of note taking, but as long as you write everything down, study for your midterm, final and do your APA paper, you will get a great grade. I wish she could teach other classes too. I would definitely recommend her and her classes.

One of the best psych professors I've had--funny, helpful, and always willing to help you out no matter what. HINT: ALWAYS STAPLE YOUR PAPERS. Her one pet peeve is being handed a pack of papers that aren't stapled, so just do it. Other than that, fantastic class!

Tests are tough since she tends to use real-life examples. Very easy grader to the APA paper which is 30% of the course grade. Study hard, take good notes, write the paper, get the A.

Kimberly Adkins is an quite possibly the funniest professor's I have ever had! She makes PSY101 so much fun, she explains everything in a way that we can relate to, and even throws in extra examples if needed. I wish she was teaching other Psych classes!

Favorite professor this semester. Fun, excellent speaker, and a character for sure! I was never bored in her class one time and was so fascinated by her explanation of the topics that I wanted to just sit and watch the powerpoint instead of take notes. (Often I did but that was a mistake!) Great tests, easy APA paper. Everything is clear as a bell.

Easy to understand. Makes the class enjoyable, can possibly make your day. 3 tests, 1 paper... all easy if you do the work. plenty of videos to learn off of to understand the content, which WILL be on the test. TAKE ALL NOTES GIVEN IN CLASS. Her extra credit packet is based almost word for word, its 5 extra credit points that can go on your test.

Great class! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Professor. She is clear on what is expected and the syllabus is easy to follow. The tests are a tad difficult but if you study they are fine. If you miss a class you will fall behind, but I also took the 5 week accelerated course. She is also one of the funniest professors ive had. She makes you eager to learn!

Yes. She gives a lot of lectures, but they consist mainly of personal anecdotes making them fun and entertaining. Most days are notes, so if you're sick, I hope you have a buddy in the class to give you the notes. DO THE STUDY GUIDES AND HAND-OUTS. Even if she doesn't say it, she'll probably collect them for extra credit. Study the study guide well

As a STEM major, her class was extremely easy especially since it was an introductory class. Even if I was not, her teaching style and methods are clear and concise. She makes lecture very entertaining and fun. She treats you like an adult and is always showing enthusiasm for all her students. Work with her, and you will pass no problem.

Professor Adkins is absolutely one of the best professors at MCCC. Take notes on EVERYTHING! Don't miss a class, because you will fall behind. However, you will NOT WANT to miss class because her lectures are so interesting and enjoyable. You can tell that she puts so much effort into the course. Taking Adkins' PSY 101 course was a great experience. She was hilarious, understanding, and didn't show even an ounce of disdain to any of her students. It's really important that you attend class, because she'll make references in her lectures that will be directly referenced on her exams. However, her lectures are so funny that you'll enjoy going

My experience with Adkins was very fun and interesting. I enjoyed attending her class because of her lively spirit and her passion for psychology. She was very involved with her students and wanted to make sure all of us passed. She was very helpful towards the end of the semester, we were able to fix errors and obtain extra credit. Loved her!!

She's the best! Take her and you will love Psychology! As long as you study for the test, participate in the group activities and do the online homework you will no doubt pass the course.

She is one of the best professors at Mercer. All of the homework is on McGraw Hill and it costs around 90$ to access the online homework. She records her own lectures and uploads them there. She is caring and funny. You'll have to write one research paper and make sure it is ATLEAST 3 full pages long. Overall, an amazing person

So thorough when she talks about different topics and will sometimes crack jokes. I just loved the way she teaches and interacted with us. Id say the only hard thing was the APA paper, especially if youve never written one but you get to pick your topic and have plenty of time to do it. Lectures are interesting and funny. Quizzes and tests are not on Honorlock but pay attention! She may include questions in the exams to make sure you were paying attention throughout the semester (ex: finger puppets used in certain weeks.) Also, random pop up questions during online class to make sure you are present. But overall, she's amazing!

Overall a great teacher, but do not attempt to submit anything that is past due unless you have justified reason for why its late. Just make sure you get the work done on time.
