CAN RECIEVE A VERY EASY PASSING GRADE BUT THE CLASS IS BORING AND TEACHER JUST BLABS THE WHOLE HOUR
NO question the worst teacher I have had at BYU-I. She didn't show up to class half the time, but still expected us to perform well on tests.
This teacher was very unorganized, unhelpful, unclear, and not at all professional in her teaching. I retook the class because I felt I really needed a strong background and good teacher since I am a psychology major.
doesn't teach the class anything - students must rely on the book to do well on tests
Unable to understand and rarely shows up to teach.
Although she may be somewhat disorganized, she is willing to help and work with you. she's flexible. I enjoyed the class and its content. If you do the work and study for tests you'll get a good grade.

Never could manage to stay awake.
Didn't like her as a teacher, pretty much just talks about her life the whole time about her kids and how she's divorced, you have to study on your own and basically teach yourself from the book, she doesn't cover it in class.

Easy to talk to, Fun class, I like the fact the we have to teach the class once a week. Not very organized, but fun.

Worst and most unorganized professor that I've ever had! Don't take from her, she talks about her life and then expects you to teach yourself. What a waste of money!
The class was so much fun, but she dose jump around alot and that was very confussing. But she made the content of the class apply to the possibility of becoming a psychologist, an animal trainer, and even to being parents.
IS A GREAT TECHER...IF YOU LIKE PSYCH.
It was her first time teachting two of that class, and i think she was just overwhelmed. She was very nice and interesting, but class was often canceled, she had trouble keeping up with what was due, and she kept changing things.
If you want an easy A don't go with this teacher she only grades you on tests and you have to do dumb activities. Stay away from this one.
She knows psychology, I'll give her that. But your grades all come from tests and not from anything in class. You could skip class and totally get away with it as far as tests are concerned.
Really Easy if you go take the time to talk with her before and after tests
Not an easy class. I studied each chapter like crazy....then would take the tests and think I did great and I BOMBED it. I WOULD NOT take this class!
her lectures don't really correlate with the tests. it's a lot of self-teaching...
Is one of the most diorganized people I've ever seen. She loses things and is obviously winging it in lectures if you can call it a lecture. Is always making excuses.
She didn't really teach. She would talk about her life and things that didn't matter then test you on the book. So its a teach yourself class. You never really need to go.
Avoid at all costs.
Do yourself a favor and take basket weaving,...you'll learn more. Off the wall instructor, major personal issues that have effected her abilities.
She may have been the least clear professor that I've ever had. She often gets sidetracked and talks about unrelated things. There's a mad load of book work, and the tests come straight out of book. So if you read well and take test well like me you can do well... but if you want to learn about psychology, don't take it from her
she is an amazing teacher. test wise, she does not teach from the book in class because that is the student's responsibility. she uses life experiences to teach material to help apply it. too many people judge her too quickly because she does not hand the class to you on a silver platter. if you take the time to go talk to her she will help you.
You can expect to read the book a lot. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. She allows you to take tests twice (different Q's) so if you study you can do reasonably well.
At the beginning of the semester I was highly unimpressed with Sister Andersen's teaching style - but as the year went on, I grew to like her more. She is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and isn't always clear, but she is very helpful and really cares about getting students through her class.
She was an aweful teacher. Not helpful at all. Multiple errors on tests; refused to fix them
I think she is a great techer and i love her class. The only problem is, is that her tests are a hard. She teaches the information like a week after you are supposed to take the test. And if you don't read and seriously study the book then don't expect to pass the tests.
Lectures often seemed drawn out, and usually didn't cover test questions; tests were completely over textbook material. Allows a re-take p/test, but they're not easy because of randomness and specificity of questions sometimes. Lots of movie-watching in class. Very nice person who is willing to help if you come to her, though.
She was really nice, but the only reason I went to class was to get the extra credit pop quizzes. The tests are ALL textbook-based and not really the easiest, though her tests are similar to most teachers. I don't really recommend her namely because she wasn't very good at preparing us for tests. Go to class and take the quizzes!
I wouldn't recommend this teacher to anyone. She was really hard and for someone who isn't majoring in psych,I felt it was a waste of time. I studied a ton before tests!
Very random discussions, but yet you need to know what is in the book.
I know what you're thinking, but don't do it. It's not worth it.
Such a hard class. Not worth it even a little. Take it from a different teacher. The tests are so hard, and it all comes from the book. You will read every single chapter in that book, and must know every bit of information, and understand it. Go to class to get extra credit! That is how I survived.
This class is a wonderful way to learn why people behave in certain ways. If you plan on going to counseling, helping people, or parenting take this class. The teacher may be off the wall. Her tests aren't difficult its right out of the book and open book everytime! Trust me this class isn't that bad, it is up to you to learn the info.
Sis Andersen is the hardest teacher I have ever had, but I have learned more in her psch classes than all of the other psch classes I have taken. She is the only teacher in the dept that bring real life experiences to the classroom and makes the topic come alive. She is the absolute best! Psch majors should all take her classes!
A great class! Upbeat and cheerful teacher who wants her students to succeed! But you have to study and do the work. No slackers allowed! The class inspired me about my major and future career goals!

Only purpose of attending the class itself is for the extra credit that is given randomly (absolutely necessary for an A/B) Tests are deceiving and difficult. I've never studied/read so much in my life for one class only to get C's on tests. The pointless/slightly comedic class lectures were a waste of a time. Highly suggest avoiding the course/her
Great lady, this subject is obviously her passion. I recommend this class and Sister Anderson to anyone who wants to learn about behavior and learning.
This was one of my hardest classes...but i learned that after each test you could go to her office and review it with her...if you are one of the few students that does this for all the tests...she will remember you and know how hard you're trying...and you will get an A...
I learned alot in this class, she says she doesn't curve the grates but she does. I got an "A" when my highest test score was a "C". Class is fun, but un aplicable to what is on the test its all in the book.
I hated the class. I didn't really like the way she taught. Most of the lectures in class weren't pertinant to the tests. It wasn't fun, except for the chicken training day. I wouldn't take this class.
Wonderful teacher. much of the tests come straight from the textbook but coming to class does help. the tests are really easy as long as you do the reading and take a look at the study guides. she is a really fun teacher who loves the subjest she teaches.
Her lectures seem pretty pointless at times, but she gives you so many extra credit oppoturnity, it's not even funny! She does care about her students, and she certainly helps you understand psychology at a more real-world level. We certainly could cut down on the videos, but usually you get "quizes" to fill out with them which becomes extra credit
EASY! Everybody on here that says she is tough are they who sit in the back and run their yapper all class and then complain about not hearing due dates. She lets you review the tests and write the answers down, plus the extra credit in class,if you can't get an A in this class it's because you are a lazy student not because of the way she teaches!
Look at her syllabus on byui.edu, it's under her directory, in classes. It tells you exactly what to expect. Grading is straight, no +/- Tests are 30 multi-choice questions, straight from the book, study guides telling exactly what's on the test. She likes here subject and cares about her students. Great class, and good teacher, giver her a break!
This class is all about reading the chapters on your own and taking the tests. Its super easy if you just read carefully, and she allows you to retake the tests one time. Going to class is pointless, and I hardly went. Super easy though
This class is a joke. VERY unorganized, yet very easy. She doesn't keep you informed on assignments or test dates. so as long as you go and keep track of everythign, basically as long as you be the teacher and the student you should be fine. the tests are super easy, just read the text before taking the test and you'll get a B easy
Least favorite class. Sister Andersen only knows behaviorist theories and therefore could not answer many questions in class. Lots of meaningless assignments. Lack of class structure. It seemed like she didn't want to even be there most of the time.
She is very passionate about behaviorism and really tries to get students to question their previous beliefs. The hardest part about this class is putting in enough time in the lab.
This class was very easy. You don't need to go to class, but it's a good idea because she does give out extra quizzes and worksheets. Tests are easy; everything comes straight from the text book. She wasn't helpful, however. I don't really recommend taking this course from her.
I LOVED THIS CLASS! It it totally possible to get a good grade. I learned tons! Sister Andersen is a good teacher and very willing to help her students. Have a good attitude and you will love it!!!
Sister Anderson is such a great teacher. She is willing to do anything to help her students understand and do well in the class. You can tell she tries so hard and her lessons are great.
Sister Anderson is a little bit crazy, however, she is a really good teacher. She teaches everything you need to know for the test. She allows you to retake tests. I never got bored in her class. I would definitely recommend taking psych from her.
Andersen's class is very difficult but very manageable. She lets you take every test twice and will go over the answers with you when you take the test th e first time. I studied about 2 hours a week and got an "A" easily. Make sure you go to Class
Sister Andersen is a really good person, but she has no talent as a teacher. She's easy, but you won't learn very much in her class, basically all she does is come in and pushes play on the DVD player. Then on days when she doesn't have a movie she has one of her students teach instead. She takes advantage of the learning model.
I like Sister Andersen but I don't think she's a great teacher. Just study and you'll get through with an A though. BTW her extra credit is not real extra credit. It's like any another assignment.
She missed class a lot but made up for it by dropping 4 of your lowest test scores (you can retake each one once already) and normally drops 3 test completely. I learned a lot but you have to have an open mind and just have fun with it and her humor. Give her a chance, study the chapters and you will do great.
The class was a nice break from stress and excess homework. The teacher was very relaxed and helpful. Tests are really easy, and even if you get a "b" then you can retake it. Students that struggle in this class shouldn't be in college. I learned a lot!
I loved Kim Anderson! The class is informative and if you really listen to her, you can learn a lot. I also took Principles of Learning 361 from her and learned a ton! If you study her syllubus, the tests are easy to pass. Kim cares about the success of her students and is also great for parents coming back to school. I loved her for both classes!
Nice woman. Has no idea how to teach. Had her TA's play movies for her, her lab assistants teach one day a week, and her students the last day. It's an easy class, but do not have the expectation that you will learn anything. I feel bad saying this, but this woman is really a horrible teacher.
FUN class! We did an activity or watched a video almost every time. Tests are easy if you read the book and go to class.
Fun class, she was really good teacher even if I didnt get the best grade on the test she was really interesting and fun
Sis Anderson is a nice lady but I learned nothing from this class. I took notes everyday and nothing she taught was very clear. If you are serious about learning psychology I would take this class from someone else. Nice lady but not a good teacher.
Sister Andersen is one of the nicest ladies ever. Her area of interest in Behavioral Psych and she is great at teaching it! If you try to apply it, you will learn a lot.
Kind of a crazy lady but she enjoys teaching which it makes it more enjoyable to be in her class. She expects you to read the book. The reading in combination with attending class (which consists mostly of lectures, videos & a few hands on learning) you can learn a lot. You can also do the bare minimum and pass. Fairly easy class, helpful teacher!
I thought Sis. Anderson was very boring. I never saw anyone else into her lectures either. She was very nice, but her lectures didn't really go with the tests. The only way to pass is if you study the book yourself, I think class wasn't helpful. If you study the book really well, you'll be fine. I would not take this class from her.
Sis Andersen is pretty cool but I didn't really enjoy her teaching method. In class, we just had discussions about random life experiences, watched videos and didn't take notes. I taught the class one day because it was required for my grade. I didn't learn much in class.
I think Sis. Andersen is a great teacher, not perfect by any means, but she is always willing to work with her classes if due dates are unrealistic or there are miscommunications. I like her a lot because she is so open about the trials in her life and it helped me understand concepts much better. Not the most organized teacher but she's great!
I went into this class excited to learn about psych & I never want to see a psych book again. You don't have to go to class, but every once in a while there is a worksheet- so I always did. Class is boring and painful and you learn very little. Bring other class work. You can retake test which is the only positive thing. She is nice- but not great
I loved learning in Sister Andersen's class. We were able to play with rats and chickens and I learned a lot about how to raise children from live animal experience.
Sister Andersen is a nice person, but is technologically illiterate. Her expectations are unclear )and since she recites them out loud, you can't prove that you did it right anyway,) and she doesn't respond to emails. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IFYOU CAN AVOID IT!! I love the subject coming in, but she ruined it. 98 credits. Worst class ever.
Sister Anderson is awesome if you're all about a very chill, very relaxed class. I loved how it was office chairs instead of desks. One of my complaints is that she isn't the best at responding to emails but to me that's not a huge deal. Take this class!
SUPER easy class. NO exams. If that doesnt sell it, I dont know what will. She's super chill, super easy grader. just an easy A. You have a live rat lab... which is gross.
Worst teacher I've ever had. Easy A for sure, but literally got nothing out of this class. She gets paid to come and watch students teach, or push play on a pointless video. She has no idea how to work ilearn, and you will never know what's due our when. Horrible class, horrible teacher.
Disorganized, sporadic, and borderline illiterate. Class is 100% discussion with no relevance to confusing chapter quizzes which often have grammar mistakes. She does not communicate due dates or expectations well and the students suffer for it. Even if she does respond to your email, it won't be helpful. DO NOT TAKE HER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
This is a really interesting class and we have really good discussions about a variety of unusual topics. You will have to teach class once with a couple classmates but it is more of directing the discussion. Teacher discusses and assigns many topics that make you stop and think. Overall good class
