Great Teacher, gives lots of notes and explains things very clearly. Wants you to understand and learn. Willing to take time and help you so that you understand what to do.
She is such a Great math teacher. I took her for 0350. I would deff Recomend her over all the other Math Teachers!
Very good Teacher. Breaks down algebra for anyone. I started off making C's on tests and ended the year with A's. I only wish she taught Funct. Coll. Agebra.
Mrs. Cambell is amazing if your taking a math class take her! She explain math veryy well you will for sure make an A. In class shes amazing at explaining it so everyone understands. Shes very nice to she is one your side and will make sure she can get you an A. I love this class.
Couldn't have asked for a better algebra teacher. She was extremely good at explaining the subject in a way the students can understand, and she is always smiling.
She is the Best teacher I ever had. She Explains you each problem in way that it is easy to understand. I will take her for any math class she will be teaching.
She is exceptional at teaching and making it learn-able.
She was meant to be a math teacher :)It was set in the star! She is exceptional!
Exceptional!
Extraordinary!!!
I liked this prof. the minute I started ModMath. We're to take a midterm tomorrow. There has been ice on the roads all week, and there will likely be some tomorrow. We were supposed to take it after class, but she waited until the last minute to tell us it would be IN CLASS so now I'm not able to get help, other than the awful coursecompass site...
She really helps you work it out and not just tells you its wrong.
Hate math. Love Mrs. Campbell. Come to class, do homework, give some effort, and you're guaranteed an A. Effort is crucial. If you skip class often and can't discipline yourself to study even a little bit you won't do well.
Mrs Campbell is not only an OUTSTANDING TEACHER, she is also an EXCEPTIONAL person! She is so very helpful and fun! I would recommend her to everyone. If you do your homework, and go to class then there's no reason you should fail.
Ok, let me say this, if you want a teacher who will do everything in her power to get you an A, she is the one, very helpful, lots of quizes with open note book, drops a lot of low quiz grades, free points for doing work, I mean everything counts plus she's hot! Seriously, take her and your GPA will be thanking you!
i HATED math and thought for sure that i would fail this class. I WAS SO WRONG!!! i got an "A" in my class. she is everything a teacher should be- helpful, fun, nice, understanding. now i LOVE math and cant wait to take her again in the fall for 0304.
VERY AWESOME INSTRUCTOR. she will sit and help you until you understand, its so awesome.she makes math as fun and easy as she can. TAKE HER!!!!!!!
Excellent teacher the best take her and you wont regret it at all!!!
Professor Campbell is very nice and does everything she can to help you succeed. She does give quizzes with open notes, and she drops at least two low quiz grades. She does teach a little faster than I would prefer but if you go to her after class or in her office, she will make sure you understand. She's a great professor.
Great teacher for Algebra!!! She is not teaching this class agin next semester but if she decides to again, take her! You will work hard, but it will pay off in the end. She is a wonderful prof!!! Did not need the book as the book is on MYMATHLAB website.
Prior to attending Mrs. Campbell's class, I absolutely hated math. Mrs. Campbell changed that! She is a great teacher. Her lectures are organized and very clear. If you need extra help, she is available and is very happy to go over the material until you understand. She is so nice and always in a happy mood. Take her class! You'll be glad you did!
Mrs. Campbell is great! It is math, s it's hard. But she does all she can do explain and clarify. She is prompt to reply to emails, and very willing to help outside of class. I plan to take her again for my next math course.
Mrs Campbell, as a mother of 7, has found ways to explain some of the most difficult aspects of algebra so that anyone can understand them. Her methods were exceptionally well thought out, as there were very few concepts that would baffle a student as she was very good at using layman's terms.
Fantastic teacher!! She goes over everything very well and she is available for extra help. Doesn't really cancel class so you are getting a very good education from her!!
Great teacher, she always seems to be upbeat. Eventhough she has a child that was constantly in and out of the hosptial. As long as you do your homework, and do the extra credit practice tests the class should be a breeze.
Moves way to fast, do not have time to learn one process before its on to the next one. I gave up after week 2 because before I could finish one chapter assignment the next two were already due as well. Never offered assistance of see any issues with why my grade was so bad.
BEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD! I suck at math, its the worst thing for me. She will stop and make sure you understand it with a sweet attitude. She will help you. Do your absolute best and keep up with everything. If your scared youll fail, TALK TO HER! Literally the best teacher in this world.
HORRIBLE. She moves way too fast, isn't specific about anything. I thought i was ahead only to find out she puts quizzes in spots they're not usually in on my math lab. Way too fast paced for people that don't understand math. She is no help whatsoever. Very unorganized. She even said we need scantrons for tests and i've never needed one.
This teacher moves WAY TOO FAST. Unfortunately math is my worst subject and I am in HER developmental class. She moves entirely for FAST for a developmental course. She seems way to proud of the fact that she is able to do the problems & IT SEEMS she could care less if you can. If you have a hard time in math.. DO NOT TAKE HER. PERIOD.
Tests worth 80%, Homework 15%, Quizzes 5%. Quizzes almost worthless, but helpful, as she explains them after turned in. She gives partial credit on problems only partially wrong. Explains things with projector instead of board. Pro: She doesn't block the problems with her body. Con: whenever she fills a sheeet of paper, she moves to a fresh sheet.
This class was was very difficult. This teacher has great reviews for other clases. However, she is not a good teacher for the educational class. You have teach yourself, you do not have to turn all homework but she will test you on some of those questions.2 essays, one 3D group project. Not recommend this instructor because you have to do her job
She go to fast, but nice teacher. If you don't know math to well, don't take her she go tooooooooo fast.
Mrs. Campbell is the best math teacher that i have ever had and I have the hardest time with math. Goes Fast? all you have to do is ask her to explain and she sweetly does. Do you homework and study and if you apply yourself she will help you. If you suck at math like I did and are dedicated to pass then take her. Easy? only if you study! :)
She nice, but go way to fast. One of my classmates were 2 points from passing her class, and didn't give it to her. Don't take her .
You will have to work. There are a lot of open ended questions. This is not a class where the profess or teaches you but helps you to start thinking out of the box. If you need help she will definitely help. SHE DOES NOT EXCEPT ANY LATE WORK. She's not a bad professor, but if you don't like math & can't think out the box you might not like this .
She goes really fast, but she's willing to slow down if you ask questions. If math is easy for you, she's really great. If you struggle with math, you may not want to take this class. There's a lot of homework, and she covers a lot in a short period of time. You'll definitely have to work to catch up if you miss a day of class.
Graphing calculators are not allowed per the syllabus & tardiness is not tolerated. Student in my class used a graphing calculator on two tests and remained in the class. I showed up 7 mins late to an exam (due to family issues, I informed instructor of along with my desire to drop, she advised against this )and was not allowed to reschedule.
Mrs. Campbell genuinely cares about her students. Yes it is a tough class but that's because we are preparing to be teachers and she wants us to be able to teach it ourselves someday. She is always willing to help her students. I would definitely take her again.
I've taken college algebra twice before I took Mrs. Campbell, and she was the one professor that I could actually understand. She will break down whatever you ask the best she can for you, she always responded to my e-mails if I was absent and missed anything and would save her notes if I caught her on time.
She is an AWESOME teacher. She was having personal problems but would extend our work because she wouldn't be able to grade right away, always quick to respond to email, very helpful. GREAT TEACHER!! BUT this class was the hardest ever for me. I use to love math but this was just torture. I worked hard got a D, even though points away from a C.
best math professor I ever had. makes you feel comfortable and would do anything to help you and understand the material. If pay attention in class an do homework its a guarantee A. don't need a book, need MML. She should teach calculus and would take all with her
Fair grader. I purchased textbook, but it is accessible online with the MML access code. Was tough to take online but as long as you put in the effort you will do well.
If you take a 6 week course, you will be doing lots of homework everyday. If you do the work, you will likely make a good grade in the class. There are good opportunities to help you improve your exam grades. Also, she keeps you informed, is organized, and grades quickly. All in all, she seems to be the ideal professor for distance learning.
Professor Campbell was hands down the best choice I could've made for an online class. She's very organized, responds to emails promptly, and is willing to help when you need it. There will be lots of homework, 4 unit discussion posts, 4 tests and a final. She gives extra credit for passing practice tests. All is done through MML. Take her!
She is a very understanding teacher. She makes sure to thoroughly go through the material that way it is understood. I would definitely take her again.
She overloads her lessons, and assigns homework on top of homework. She also goes way too fast in class, and doesn't slow down when she is teaching. Also she will assign a group project with a computer program that she claims she has no knowledge of, yet it's a grade. Word of advice, take this course with someone else!
This professor was willing to help you if you ask, and gives you every opportunity to pass. This being said, it is important to understand that it is a math class, and will be homework and test heavy. I am not a natural student when it comes to any math class, especially after 12 years out of high school. I did, however, get an A.
There is a TON of homework involved in this class. There are 3 major projects in this course, the last one will take up most of your time. It is all group work and you don't get to choose your groups. This class was way too fast paced for me, if you are good at math or understand it easily then you might be okay. She is a nice person though.
I took this class as a blended course, meaning we only met once a week for 55 minutes and the rest was online. I passed with a 98 and it was very easy. She is very nice and very helpful. We mostly taught ourselves since it was online, but she was quick to answer any questions my classmates or I had.
An entire tree worth of papers is printed per student. A lot of work but it is pretty easy for anyone who teaches themselves well through MyMathLab.
Please note this instructor does not do traditional lecture. YOU LEARN ON YOUR OWN!!! She is a tough grader, does not teach the way she grades!!!! Book reports will be assigned in the MATH class. LOTS of HW!!! Be prepared for lots of work outside of class. I would not recommend missing a class, let alone taking this instructor.
She is the best math teacher I've had in my entire Life. Having studied in 3 different colleges, I would say she is the best. She would explain math in the way you want would never ever forget. She would teach you all the basics and fundamentals. She is a very nice & helpful person as well. Keep up with mathlab and attend her classes. A is yours.
I highly recommend taking this class, Mymathlab is used for all homework assignments and quizzes its super helpful and makes it easier. If you keep up with that you should be good. In class its always the same routine we took notes and then did worksheets. In the beginning its a lot of group work but overall its a easy A if you do your work.
Overall she is a good teacher. She often makes mistakes which can make it harder for us. To me she was a tough grader when it came to homework and on tests. But overall she was a good teacher.
Worse experience ever!!! Answers what she wants to answer!
DO NOT take this professor online. Discussion boards AND written assignments for a Trigonometry course were pointless. Also, the professor is nitpicky with Proctorio. A lot of homework, quizzes, and practice tests on MML. I spent more time for this class than my junior/senior level accounting courses. You will be bombarded. Take someone else.
For an online class, there many assignments due in one week. From discussion boards to 4-7 written and online homework due in a week deadline, this class is a killer. Thought it was going to be an easy class to take with my courses at UTA, but it only made me stress more. Avoid taking this professor and this class as a whole. Worst than physics 1.
This professor is good for those who are friends with math. You should come and see her instead of math lab/tutoring! Sometimes we can discuss topic 2 days from test deadline. Study! She is fear according to grading. Tests are very related to homework. Im good at math and it was challenging at times. she is very nice and knowledgeable. Take her!
If you take her, PRINT THE NOTES! Its "optional" but otherwise impossible to take handwritten notes. Loads of MyMathLab. GREAT at teaching, the way she explains concepts just clicked with me, better than any other math professor I've had.
I took her contemporary math class (MATH 1332) at TCC. I think the class would have been easy in spite of whoever taught it, but Prof. Campbell was especially good at explaining the concepts and answering students' questions. Honestly, if you pay attention in class and are diligent about completing myMathLab assignments, you'll probably get an A.
I have struggled with math my entire life.. Had to take this class because I wasn't TSI met, Mrs. Campbell is amazing you all! So sweet and helpful. As long as you put in the effort and work, your grade will show. She's always there to answer questions and is very detailed with notes so that helped me so much! 10/10 recommend her for any math class
Professor Campbell is great! She has amazing lectures. She is a firm believer in Reverse Classroom where you go home and learn the material and then come back to the next class with questions about what you didn't understand. Also do the hw assignment and lesson for the next class as soon as you get home or you will fall behind.
She is very determined to get you to pass the class.
Professor Campbell is an awesome math instructor and sets you up for success. If you take her Summer Class be prepared for a lot of work (81 total MML assignments.) I am 8 years removed from math, and I still managed get a grade of 88 in this class, so it is definitely achievable. Be sure to take advantage of all extra credit to better your grade.
shes a good one
It was online with virtual meetings twice a week. Not an easy A, you have to work for it. Do mymathlab practice tests! Her exams come from written assignments(similar questions), lecture and Lab homework. Do it and youll be granted an A. Extra credit! She is available to answer any questions. Overall, best math teacher Ive ever had! Take her.
I am so glad I had Mrs. Campbell for MATH 1332. I absolutely detest math, but she made me comfortable by being so caring and accessible. She is very patient and you can tell she likes her job. Print her notes and take heed to what she says. Participate in her lectures. I wished she taught statistics! She is selfless and wants you to succeed.
To my great surprise, I got an A in MATH. I hate math, but she is an excellent teacher, great at explaining. Super nice, patient, and just wants you to succeed. It was a little hard to keep up with the due dates though so just make sure to stay organized. I got thru middle and hs math with khanacademy, but this semester I didn't need it at all!
Awesome teacher! I suck at math and feel so smart cause she makes sure you understand the material and explains really well. Lots of work but its easy. Do the guided notes before class and it will help your understanding be clearer. MyMath lab scores help your grade so do them. Lots of group work which helps with understanding. Would take again.
For an online class, I definitely don't recommend! Her lecture videos are 30min-1hr for each section of each unit! She requires MyMathLab AND her own assignments, worth almost 40% of your grade. No late work accepted for written assignments and MyMathLab will take 15% off of your late work. Terrible feedback, and if you struggle with math, run!
I LOVED having professor Campbell, best math professor I've ever had. She cares so much about her students and has a great passion for math and what she does. I wish I could take her for every math class! You will not regret taking her at all!!!!
I made a 65 in her class for the FALL 2021 semester which is passing for TCC but won't transfer to a 4yr university. The professor knows what she is teaching she is a great professor. Very understanding and she will help you but you also got to put the work in. Lectures you watch from home and classroom time is when you ask for help.
I passed her class but she didn't teach the way I personally learned best:/ Expect to go home watch 3 hours of videos while taking notes and come to class the next day and do the same thing for the entire semester. I missed 1 class and was so behind for two weeks, try to attend. Keep in touch she's understanding. Testing in the testing center!
I honestly have nothing bad to say about Mrs. Campbell. All material was accessible, and easy to access. Her in class lectures were descriptive and she would stop if anyone was confused. She still gives partial credit on tests and homework assignments as long as the proper work is shown.
Nothing bad to say about Mrs. Campbell, she cares for her students individually and as a whole. Yes, she does give out lots of homework but I would be surprised if any other math teacher doesn't. The homework was the easiest way to study for this course. She gives partial credit for wrong answers but correct work leading to the answer.
Do not take and hard to understand!
From someone who isn't the best at math.. Professor Campbell is amazing! She's super caring and clear. There will be LOTS of homework due weekly that you have to keep up with on Mymathlab but going to the library for tutoring really helps if you need the extra help. Would definitely take her again
TOOK MATH 1235+0224!! Great professor, will really take time to explain concepts and offers lots of extra credit. Understanding, kind, doesn't judge students, and very knowledgeable. Get ready to print out assignments, use MyMathLab, and lots of outside work. 4 Unit Tests (60%), Online MyMath Lab Average (10%), Written Work (10%), Final (20%)
This class is so overwhelming! I struggle so much with math, and her class is a lot of work!! A ton of outside work, so many papers, and tests are hard! You need to take them in the testing center, and not a lot of multiple choice. If you miss one class, it's over. STRESS OVERLOAD TO THE MAX. Great person, but for a learner like me, its too much.
It had been a while since I had been enrolled in a math class and I am glad she was my teacher. Professor Campbell answers every question as if it is important, even if it may feel silly to you. She is patient and kind. I recommend doing the extra credit she will likely offer, as it really pays off. I would recommend her to a friend, for sure.
RUN FAR AWAY! she's sweet, but worst class I've ever had. In class you work out problems, notes are long, online and written homework. Each section takes around 3 hours to write down and understand. Note checks are at random. Says she wants you to learn rather than just get by, but has formatted the class so you mostly care about your grade.
The workload is overwhelming with about 10 assignments weekly, including My Math Lab tasks, video notes, and written assignments. Group work is part of the class, but not all problems are covered by the professor. The course suits individuals who thrive with extensive effort and enjoy group learning, you won't have time for anything else.
Had Prof Campbell for MATH1324. Amazing math prof, very helpful. Great lectures with a lot of work in class, and she is very knowledgable. However, I was putting in 10+ hours of studying a week, and there is an overwhelming amount of homework. 4 tests, 1 final, 14 note checks, 9 math sheets, tons of online math homework, but forgiving test grader
Professor Campbell was great and she made sure her students had all the material they needed to succeed, she is fair and grades based on work not just if you got it wrong and tried to help students understand where they went wrong, but you do have to attend class and do HW because its ALOT!. Show up and pay attention you will be fine.
The Professor doesn't teach in detail, expects you to do all the work in groups, doesn't go over all of them. Exam reviews are nothing like the exams. Lots of extra credit. don't recommend taking her if you haven't taken algebra in a long time bc you will never catch up. expected to know many concepts before day 1 she won't go over any of them.
Do not take her for Pre-Calc online. So much homework with minimal instruction. You basically have to learn everything by yourself with Youtube. Most of your grade is from the exams that she grades so hard on. And the only form of extra credit is from the practice test, BUT you have to pass the practice test to even get the extra credit.
At first, I really liked this professor. Gave tons of homework, and I ended up getting behind. Went into the last part of the class with a D, and she failed to warn me that I would fail. I spent all that time for nothing. Mind your grade and watch canvas; she's not going to reach out to you if you're in danger. Also prepare for boring lectures.
Be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to this class, as she is very meticulous about how her work is to be done. Be expected to do 1-2 hours of notes outside of class on top of weekly MML, weekly Written assignments and 6 exams. She has a nice personality and offers assignment passes but is far too overbearing. A 'grade > learning' kind of teacher.
Took her for the fall semester. The start of her class is really difficult but once you get into a rhythm and take the first two or three tests it gets a lot easier. No extra credit but given assignment passes (replace bad grade) and SI session (extra credit used for final). 5 tests including final. LOTS OF HOMEWORK. Attend class to succeed!
Mrs Campbell is a very intelligent and thorough mathematics teacher. She makes sure that you know all of the resources that are available to help you understand the understand the material. Great teacher.
Decent teacher if you're in lecture but her online course was not all that great. Half the time she would mess up a problem and wouldn't even correct it in the video which was confusing. My main request would be that she simplifies things a little more, the way she describes the formulas and processes only makes things harder to understand.
Her flipped class style was helpful bc we could spend the whole class practicing problems. Lots of MML but could do it late for 85%. Her style may feel tailored to juveniles, but I found it helpful. Tough grader, but it's for your benefit. Extra credit given for SI sessions and events. It's a lot of commitment and time, but gets you ready for Calc1
if you're planning to take her course online... I don't recommend. exams are proctored and guidelines are ridiculous. she has 3 pages in her syllabus just for the lockdown test rules. overall, she's just sloppy and not the best professor. 3/10... don't recommend.
Honestly a very good and thorough professor I just never showed up in person and it takes a toll on you heavily and catching up is hard. She uses class time to just practice practice practice math problems over the criteria you are currently learning about. you take notes and watch the videos on your own time before class starts. 8/10 recommend :))
If you have anything going on outside of class dont take it. I get she has the highest rating at this campus but she gets frustrated telling you how to do something more than once. Near 6 assignments perweek Jokingly low extra credit, drowns you in HW and a picky grader. If you have a job and other classes you will fall behind. Review not like test
She is a really nice teacher but the workload is insane. It's the end of the semester and I have OVER 100 grades in the grade book minus some I didn't even turn in just because it was too much. Lectures on your own, just working through problems in class. Tests are not multiple choice. Don't recommend if you have a lot going on with other classes.
