She is very fun! Tests are somewhat hard and alot of work (two oral pres. and a book report). Not easy, but do the work and you will be alright. I loved her class.
ms. clark is a fair teacher. do the assignments and study for her test and you will be alright.
I enjoyed this freeform class. Ms. Clark was responsive and lively and she made sociology a a pleasant learning experience.
This class is ok if you enjoy your fellow students teaching you.
intro to marriage and family/ Wonderful teacher, every one has to participate she uses two methods in teaching test or presentations. If you do bad on test and do good on the presshe grades you on your presentations. and you grade come from either.
Heartless and inconsiderate. No idea what real world is like. Has been stuck in the clouds of a learning institution too long and is out of touch with real world issues. Careful what you ask her is class. She will bite.
You will have to read the textbook are you will not pass her class. Even when you read the textbook her test are hard to pass because you need to remember all the smallest details. Overall she is a great teacher and a great listener. You want go wrong.
Intentionally makes the tests hard so she can have the upper hand. Enjoys the attention of the guys in the class way too much. I felt like I was in an out of control high school class.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TELECOURSE!! No response to pre-orientation calls or emails. She showed up late to orientation and said she hated technology and thought the tapes were boring. The class consists of reading the book with no instructor help.
Ms. Clark was a great teacher. She expects alot of her students, but thats what college is about. If you study and turn in your work on time, you will be alright.
HORRIBLE TEACHER Her class had no structure she played favorites with the cute boys in the class she lost our tests, if she does not agree with your point of view you will get put in your place
TAKE THIS CLASS! This was the best class that I have ever taken in college. The class is an open forum & whatever questions that you have you can ask you will get an answer. She is straight & to the point, so if your self-esteem is low you might want to arm yourself becaus she speaks her mind
If anyone ever has the chance to take her class you will not regret it, she's one of the best teachers that the Clarkston Campus has
Great teacher. Made class very interesting to be in. I dreaded going to the class at first but once I got in ther I had a great time. She doesn't give homework. A couple of group projects and One individual project. Her test really are easy. Her final is real easy she give you a study guide with the answers.People that did not like her were idiots

She is a great teacher!! Take her class!! Easy A if you read the book and study her notes for the multiple choice tests. 1 essay test and a final-w/ a review worksheet. 2 projects-1 individual & 1 group presentation. The best class to take, I recommanded.
She is great! She makes the class so fun. I took a mini-mester with her and thought it was going to fast paced and hard....NOT. Her final is the bomb. She gives you the answers. All you have to do is come to class. Take her notes and you will make an A.
Excellent teacher who masterfully teaches beyond the book. She loves her proffession and it reflects in her charismatic teaching style. Study, come to class, and definitely read your book and you'll make an 'A.'

She is an excellent teacher but her test are 100 questions. I think the text book people made the test because they are HARD. So read EVERYTHING in the textbook to make an A on the test!
READ your textbook and you will pass all your test. Very interesting person who understands that everybody has a different lifestyle. Wants you to pass her class and will give you every chance she can.You want some excitement in your class schedule then choose her.

Clark plays favorites so pucker up. If you know as much as she does she feels intimidated and will try to grade you down. She does not try to show the close-minded what sociological studies prove on certain sensitive subjects, so students remain ignorant. I made an A in class based on prior knowledge and personal experience, not from instruction.
I got a B, but I failed every test. Do well on the projects that she gives and you should get at least a B in the class. Her tests, I didn't even bother studying for them, they are looooong and boring. I am thankful though that we were in a computer lab for the classes because I got to play a lot of games, her lectures are pointless and boring.

Must read book.... Test questions come from many online quizzes that she encourages you to study from. Lots of fun projects, lots of work. Her class is hard material, but she makes it fun, easy and interesting!

Man, this is the best teacher ever! Ms. Clark knows her stuff when it comes to sociology. Ms. Clark's test should best a breeze if you study what she gives you. I recommend that you take her Intro. to Marriage and Family as well. Beautiful person inside and out. I love you Ms. Clark!!!

She's so funny and makes the class interesting. Loves to have men and women debate over issues. Wonerfull personality but tests are can be a little challenging. Would definitely recommend her class though... not bad to look at either... Love her country accent.

she is never in class... What she teaches is descent when she's there..Unfortunatly this is my major but I withdrew simply because I wanted a quality education which very hard to find at GPC anyway.. Her tests are obviously extremly old tests, she puts absolutly no work into her preparations for class... A complet wast of my time and money...Sham
Ms. Clark is the worst teacher ive ever taken in GPC. ive done all i can to get an A for this class but still ended up gettin a B. she doesnt put any effort in teaching.she doesnt email students when she is absent (i ended up goin to her class everyday for almost 2 weeks when the class is cancelled). do not take her class or ull be sorry.
She is a horrible teacher, she missed most of the semester and then decided to pile lots of work on us at the end and still didn't give us the grade we earned.
She is one of the best teachers i've ever taken. Her lectures are so interesting that u will not want to leave her class. She mostly uses powerpoint for her lecture but her tests comes straight frm the book. majority of ur grade is from projects. Make sure u go first and u will receive a strt 100. SHE IS THE BEST AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO TAKE HER.

If you listen to what she has to say, her class will and can prepare you for life and the challenges face ahead. I wished I had of taken this class 10 years ago. I would be so far ahead of the game. Ms. Clark makes the class fun and interesting. Just remember to bring her something to eat.
Take her if you want an easy A. She is very outgoing person. Her class is easy. Most of my classmates have A. Take her.

Wonderful teacher with a great personality-maybe that's why she's wonderful. I like having class discussions, and she doesn't get offended by anything. A structured person so she will go by the book. I do not recommend this teacher. She will talk about everything and anything but the topic of the class. You must read the textbook and learn the subject independantly to have a chance, but she often tells us to study the wrong chapter. It seems like there's no way to know what you'll be tested on until you get the test. The class is very unclear.
Ms. Clark is great! I will admit that she gets off of the subject of class and never comes back to it but she is a very sweet lady! If you want to pass take all extra credit opportunities and READ THE BOOK...the test come straight from it.

Ms. Clark is an awesome professor. Take her class because she makes learning fun. Her test are not easy so you have to study. An opportunity will be given to earn extra credit. I was not excited about taking the class but once I was in it I didn't regret it!
She's very loud! you def. won't go to sleep in her class! I have no idea what my grade is in the class because she never hands back graded assignments! Its already past the halfway point....our first test we got to take home because she was "so behind in grading" All you do is sit there and listen to a woman who likes the sound of her own voice.

Very unprofessional!!! She obviously teaches only because she has bills to pay!Worst lecturer I've had. If you are a slacker,you will love her! If you are serious about your work, she is not the right lecturer for you! She goes way behind class schedule therefore, you don't learn all the material.It's sad that she is allowed to lecture!
If you are a slacker and don't mind taking a B or C, then this class is for you. She is very unprofessional and a little rude, but tries to make class fun. She IS nice, but does not utilize her time correctly. You can throw her syllabus out the window, cause it's crap. She needs some remedial teaching classes or at least a brush up on school policy
I am an excellent non-traditional student.Worst teacher I've ever seen. 1. She gave out the grades and we had to sort through them, so we saw everyone's grades. I made a 91, the second highest in the class. The average was mid-40's. 2. It's a political science class. Only her liberal opinion is right. 3. Syllabus---toilet paper. 4. Lost our tests!
Next part of my last comment. 5. She lost our tests for almost three weeks, and it took 8 weeks for chapter one b/c she sounds more like Jeremiah Wright than a professional teacher. 6. She called me a brainwashed child b/c I spent 6 years defending my country. Encourages arguments, but only if they are here arguments. Hates conservative viewpoints.

If you like wasting time in a classroom and using ONLY the textbook, this class is for you. Lost our first test (until recently), had no grades until after midterm, and still haven't finished chapter three and it's over halfway through the semester. Worst teacher I've EVER had.

Great teacher! One of the best at GPC. I enjoyed doing all of the projects. Took her doing summer semester and came out the class with a B. You don't really have to work to hard to get a good grade...just get on her good side!
wow.. if only i had more than 350 characters but unlike the self obsessed ****head who has to mention that his 91 was the 2nd highest grade in the class, i will stick to the point.. ms clark does think she is right about everything but shes most passionate about those things that are real that in turn offend others, too bad! shes a great professor!
Eh.. it was ok? I spent most of the time in shock over what she actually said in class. And not like a good shock, but more of like "I can't believe she actually wants to use her class as a platform to spout off about her personal issues." I would have taken another class if I had known hers was going to be like this. Take her at your own on risk
OMG! When I registered for this class people told me that she was the best teacher ever, but I saw what they were talking about. She is the worst professor ever... didn't learn anything. All she talked about was things that mattered to her that is not related to the topic. Unprofessional meaning can be a little ghetto...the 100 q tests are not fun.

Wow.. I have never had a more **** teacher in my life. Never thought that I would personally be blamed for crap that happened before I was even born. This woman is ridiculous. The people who like her are the people that she refers to as 'her kind of people'.. so uncomfortable to sit in her class.
Definately a talker! But she was always polite although maybe a bit opinionated. Think we only did 8 chapters over the semester and we didnt have to take our 3rd test...or the final (awesome!) After a while I just stopped going...period! And still made an A.
Hilarious class because it is a zoo- it's definitely entertaining and I had fun. Study a little, participate in the gossip, and "think outside the box," you'll get an A. Find her a husband and get an A+. She's a sharp lady, but kinda reminds me of Mr. Garrison from South Park- very similar teaching styles. She loud too- I can hear her a floor down.
She is a very fun teacher that lets you talk about whatever you want, but she is not very helpful. You need a book because all her test come directly from the book. Sometimes her lectures have nothing to do with class, but they will entertain you. Her syllabi is incorrect and she changes assignments 2 days before they're due.
Great teacher! My favorite teacher at GPC. Just come to class be involved in discussions, do good on her projects and get on her good side and you will definitely get an A. I have had her twice and would recommend anyone to take her class!
This class was a joke. We didn't learn anything all semester. The class was loud and unruly, and all that was discussed were people's love lives, sex lives, and daddy issues. If you are a guy, stay far away from this class because the prof doesn't like men.

Often the lectures pertain nothing of the material that out of the book or on the test. I swear she loves the sound of her voice. She seems arrogant at times. Be prepared to teach yourself because the powerpoints do not help nor or they on icollege and her lectures are empty. Read chapters at lease twice. She picks random things out of them.

She's very straightforward about her views but lets every student express their opinion which makes topics very unclear. You will fail if you don't read the book because the powerpoints only cover a little bit of material. Overall though, she's a great teacher. She talks a lot and loves to eat. The students are allowed to speak their minds which creates a VERY HOSTILE environment. The powerpoints are few and she rarely lectures, so you have to teach yourself the material. She plays favorites with male students and doesn't try to hide it.
Great, down to earth personality. She will explain things thoroughly but may not cover all the content before the test. READ the TEXT!
It's the week before finals and nobody in our class has gotten one assignment back although she told us our test score she should still hand back completed assingments throughout the semester. This review is not personal but it is honest and most importantly not exaggerated.
She asked us to do a journal which is okay but I don't really want to open up to a stranger but when she wanted us to show her our household budgets, that was going too far. I just did mine in percentages but still that's crossing the line of what's appropriate.
I hope this review finds the right person. Ms. Clark is honestly the worst teacher I've ever had. She does not respond to emails, didn't set up icollege, didn't follow her own syllabus (which didn't have dates on it anyway), shoves her religious views on us, doesn't teach the material (class time is spent with people telling their life stories).
Ms. Clark....great person, terrible teacher. I love Ms. Clark, she is funny and classy, but she does not teach the material. She is a worthless teacher. You HAVE to teach yourself by reading the text thoroughly because her lectures and power points contain minimal information. She rambles about nothing and very loudly at that. She thinks she is always rightso don't bother arguing with her. Study study study the text on your own if you want an A!!!
To get an A in this class, YOU NEED TO READ AND TAKE NOTES FROM THE BOOK. The test is hard, but if you read the book you will do fine. The projects are the major part of your grade, so make sure to dazzle her with your presentations. Just make sure you turn everything on time.
Run as fast as you can away from this professor. She did not teach us a thing about Sociology. I learned no key concepts, nothing, zilch. She went of topic a lot and discussed irrelevant issues.
This teacher is one of the worst. You have to teach yourself, so read the text book. She tells you about her life, which has nothing to do with her test. Don't take this lady.
