She is great and will do everything to help you out within reason. if you just attend class, participate in the lectures and do your portfolio you will do fine on the exams and you'll pass the class. it's and easy grade with minimal work. the way she teaches it makes it seem like more of a personal psychology class.she's great!

coffman is AWESOME. TAKE HER! you have to read the book to pass, but all 3-4 tests are take home tests (mult. choice). the midterm and final have some do-able short answer Q's. she is very honest about the material (human sexuality) and is very professional about talking about controversial issues. she's SO nice too. go to her for w/e you need.

I took her for PSY2012 and she is awesome! She gives directions crystal clear and her tests are based on the power points whihc she sends you and she also goes over them in class. Her film critiques are also superrr easy. I got an A and im very happy with her :) she knows her stuff!

She's a very nice teacher, and the class is certainly simple enough. There were 3 exams, one film critique, and one conflict-resolution assignment. Study the power points and go through the chapters. The exams aren't difficult, although they make take you a while with the short responses. She grades pretty easy. Got an A.Do the work and you'll pass

Amazing teacher. I actually really enjoyed her class. It was a half semester course but she managed to provide so much information in the short time and actually made you become really interested. I highly recommend taking her intro to psychology course. Really knows her stuff.

Took online! only 13 discussions and 13 quizes. A discussion and a quiz due every week. The assignment due dates are a little tricky to understand the discussion and quizes are due on diffrent dates so make sure you pay attention to the calender. not a hard grader as long as you answer the questions with a lot of details and quizes come from book!.

Awesome professor. I LOVED this class. You learn a lot about yourself and the people around you. The class assignments were easy and the two essays were really easy.. The three exams take a little more because of the short response questions but they were easy too.

Amazing professor. Extremely helpful and made the class extremely interesting and was very knowledgeable in intro to psychology, ESPECIALLY for being half a half semester course.

This class is very interesting. It's fun if everyone in the classroom becomes involved. The essay and in class assignments are very simple and essay. The three exams you take it her class can be very easy and simple, if you attend class and study her powerpoints.

This professor has been by far the BEST I've ever had. The class is really interesting and can become really fun when people become involved in the discussions. I do suggest that you always go to this class and be on time because she might give an easy A quiz to those who are on time and those who aren't missed their opportunity. She's super great!

Professor Coffman is right to the point with her lectures and the class is only one week!!! Have to do about a bunch of assignments each day but are extremely easy and 2 chapter tests every class session and counts as a whole one credit class. Very humble and I just wish I could of had here a longer period of time. Extremely recommend her!!

She is a good teacher. Her assignments are easy and doable. She also offers extra credits towards the course so you can earn extra points. You have to listen to the powerpoints and read the book if you want to do well on the tests. Other than that everything is easy. I recommend this teacher!

Professor Coffman is a truly humble, down-to-earth lady. She is dedicated and engaging in class. Her psych courses are meticulously prepared in an in-class/online format of which you will find really helpful and really captivating. She is a great professor. She gives online quizzes that you do at home and a midterm and final which are taken from the quizzes, so study the quizzes. The midterm and final also have a few short answers referring the class discussions. She reviews the day before test. Lectures are super interesting. Easily passable class, totally recommend her.

I thought she was a very sweet and inspirational professor. If you read and study well, she's very easy to pass and she genuinely cares about students and people in general. She brings a lot of real examples and scenarios into the class that actually benefit and help you in life and not just in the class alone

Prof. Coffman is the best! Lectures are inspirational and she makes the class interesting. If you follow her instructions on the assignments, you'll pass. The quizzes and exams are super easy if you study and read the textbook.

Im confused by people saying things like "Lots of assignments- You have to read the book" NEWS FLASH, if you don't want to read or have to do assignments then you shouldn't be in college. She is amazing! It was my first semester of college and she made me feel like I was at home, she teaches her lessons clearly and st a great pace, I felt like I could put all my input along with the class, she is honestly the best and very caring! I would definitely take her again without a doubt!

Sweetest professor I had for my first semester. The class is pretty easy, just pay attention to the notes and look through a few pages of the textbook around the announced quiz/exam dates. There are a couple difficult or time consuming assignments, but it really just takes a bit of effort. Do the homework! I'd love to have her as a professor again.

She's a really great teacher who wants her students to pass, cares, and actually applies her teachings to the real world. Don't be late to class especially during a quiz or exam since it bothers her. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that your grade was based on many things, which some people may like but I'm not a fan of hw even if it is easy

SUPER INTERESTING CLASS!! The psychology of genocide class was one of the best classes Ive ever taken at MDC. This professor makes the class super interesting and motivates you to want to be in class for each lecture. Theres a lot of work given every week but nothing hard! Please take her if you get the chance! You wont regret it!

This professor may provide a lot of work. But it helps with your grade at the end. Just make sure to do it all. Dont skip and ask questions. They are an amazing professor that understands and will help you when you ask for it.

I recently took PSY2012 online through the virtual college with Prof. Coffman in the Fall 2018 term. The class is structured very well, and the professor is very thorough. She was open to any questions i had throughout the term, and was very understanding to myself and other student's needs. Take this class for a semi-easy A as long as you study.

This was my first online class, she responded to all my emails quickly and answered all my questions . She is a tough grader and her mid term and final are pretty hard . She does not tell you anything about whats going to be on the exams

Professor Coffman is an AMAZING psychology professor. Although I took AP Psychology and passed with the 3, some materials came easily and some were new, but not difficult to comprehend. If you read and outline the chapters before, all you need to do is listen and add new notes in between. TAKE HER!!!! SHES THE BEST!!!

I loved taking her class. It was a little hard but a great experience. One of the better and definitely more caring professors. She will do whatever it takes to make sure she gives you the tools you need to pass. Amazing with reminders when things are due, easy hw, and easy extra credit. Took this class in an 8 week session so the reading and work was time consuming. I enjoyed this class very much, tough but worth it. She makes you think and research in your discussions. Tests were challenging at times, but as long as you do the work and study you can earn and A. Very smart and detailed professor. Feedback allowed for improvement.

So many things I could say about professor Coffman, she is so sweet and the way she talks about psychology makes us feel she really loves what she is doing, she is very inspirational, there will be a lot of lectures, a quiz every two weeks, and a lot of homework, but it's easy if you know how to manage your time.

She gives you a schedule of when everything will be due and changes it if needed. The only thing I would say is that there are lots of homework. You have to do Packback questions and answers and Flip. You have around 11 quizzes and 2 exams. She does drop your 3 lowest grades on packsack and two quizzes I think. She is very nice and answers emails.

I took Dr. Coffman during the Summer A mini term for the 2023 summer semester. The class isn't hard but make sure to do your homework as it can be detrimental to your grade if you don't do it. She responds to her emails fast. She is super nice and super understanding. I recommend her to anyone!

I took Professor Coffman as a mini term and we had weekly assignments that were organized very well. She was very understanding if anything every happened and was very kind. She was always there to help her students and was very knowledgeable on what she was teaching. I would recommend everyone to take her!!!

Professor Coffmans class mostly consisted of weekly Packbacks and Quizzes. Was a simple class she provided an up to date syllabus and gave us weekly announcements. She curves the final, shes really nice when you reach out to her.

She's very sweet and caring over students, you can ask her for help or extra time if you need it. She doesn't really teach a lot and it's a lot of assignments, but they're easy overall. Her tests align with the homework so you can properly study. I personally liked her energy and she never has a bad demeanor.

Besides being a respectful and caring professor shown in the college, be prepared for her online lectures she will be reading from and lots of time-consuming Top Hat assignments. She is welcome for any help you need for office hours and provide extra credit. She can be disorganized for when assigning dates for when each online task is due.

The assignments and exams aren't hard at all; you don't even need to study for a long time to remember the material. Also, she's super understanding if you just communicate with her. The greatest professor at MDC! Work load can seem overwhelming, but she's incredibly considerate, flexible & educated on each topic she teaches. 3 in-person exams with provided study guides that are life-saving! At home quizzes are non-proctored. Take Professor Coffman if you value quality education in topics others are too scared to discuss.

Professor Coffman teaches so well! There were 3 exams, which were cake. The textbook is accessible through TopHat which is literally goated! Professor Coffman is the best professor, taking “taboo” subjects and fostering an inclusive and well educated environment for students to ask all/ any questions. I personally really enjoyed this class, the professor does give more assignments than other classes but I enjoyed them because they were very unique. The professor is very passionate and ignited a lot of interesting in class discussions. I would take this class again!!!!

Professor Coffman is an excellent professor who gives plenty of opportunities when it comes to your grade, be it extra credit or reopening past assignments for full credit. Just make sure to attend class as she grades participation.

Dr. Coffman is super caring and sweet. Her social research class is not the easiest, as it is a bit of a workload, especially if you let it pile up. However, she constantly monitored our progress and changed dates depending on it. She gives various extra credit, and you will walk out of her class with a research project under your belt. Also study!
