Very nice!! Explains things well and thoroughly. Gives out copies of her notes. Lectures easy to follow (power point). Very oraganized and consistant! Be sure to take this one!
Excellent instructor. Explains complex subjects so that they are much easier to understand. Helps the student to succeed. Would definitely take another one of her courses.
Prepared. Provides PowerPoint in hard copy and upload avail @ Instructors website. Hands on. Dolphin expert. Easy to understand. No tricks up her sleeve!
Good teacher, fun, and perky. But she is kind of difficult. Maybe it was because the class was just difficult. She was pretty easy going on late homework.
She really cares about Student Success and the material she is teaching. Very consistent and predictable day to day. Not easy but with hard work success is acheivable. Very upbeat person, good sense of humor, could not ask for more, Thanks...
This instructor is so rude, she is not helpful and because of her, i had to rescheduel my transfer to UCSD, she let me crash it and She is RUDE... what kidof instructor is that why does she teach if she doesnt want any students...
One of the best Biology teachers I have ever had. She makes the class fun!!!
She is not clear and her tests are extremely difficult. I would not recommend this teacher.
this class was okay. a little tough but not too bad and kim is fairly helpful
I took her for Anatomy and Physiology. She is highly organized and knowledgable. I would definately recommend her to others.
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL! I love her, she is so great, she is very clear on what will be on the exam/quizzes.. no final exam. I totally recommend her!
she seems really nice when she gives you back your assignments letting you think you did good then you see the grade and you cant figure out why you got that when youve cleary put a lot of work into the assignemnts. shes nice but i wouldnt take her again unless i absolutely had to even then id check at grossmont to see if the class i need is there
good teacher but expects participation from students. fair grader and hard test.
Hard class. Lots of time and studying needed. Lectures comes straight from powerpoint. Exams & quizzes are from both book & powerpoint. Exam consists of multiple choices, fill-in-blank & short answers. She will emphasize an exam ? or short answer ? during lectures, so pay attention. Make sure you do the Homework - the points will help your grade.
Survey of Life project assigned. It is basically busy work designed for stragglers to boost their grade instead of testing better. If you have a lot of time to dedicate to the Survey of Life, you can get a B, getting C's on the tests. If you work or take more than one class, the project will probably keep you from an A.
Very straightforward on what will be on tests and quizzes, all questions from her power point presentations. I barely picked up my book, only too look at the pictures. Take advantage of lab time to know the models for test. Anatomy is hard, she basically gives you everything you need for an A, but it's up to you to put the time in and study.
I would say that she's a nice person, but not the BEST teacher. Her tests are hard and broad so you have to basically spend your time studying EVERYTHING!!! Don't take her if you can...take it at grossmont its much easier! The survey of life is a killer!! more than 50 organisms to draw and research!!! Too much! I got a first C ever in college, so
Kim is a very nice person. She answers most questions if not all with I think or Im not sure. She tells us certain things will be essay questions and you study those main things- they dont end up on her tests. Not a teacher I would recommend. I am a nursing major and this class is very interesting yet not with her. Good luck
Loved this class. Kim is teaches off of power points, so if you like them you'll love this class. Her tests are very straight forward from the power points. The workbook is a great way to study before the test, also go to the open-lab to study the models and you'll do great!
2nd semester Nursing student- I took both Anatomy and Physiology with Ms. Dudzik. Just wanted to let you know that though her classes are tough, she really prepares you for NS. She is extremely accommodating if you ask for extra help with tough concepts. Go ahead and take an easier class somewhere else, but you may pay for it later down the line.
Horrible teacher. Is not clear about anything. Got an A in Anatomy and every other class ive taken but a C in her class. She is not helpful whatsoever and seems to want her students to fail
Don't really like her as a Professor. She should be teaching about dolphins! She could never answer students questions. The class is really hard and she will tell you things will be on an exam and they won't be there. You need to teach yourself so read the book! Homework is worth a lot so take advantage of it. Don't take her for lab, BORING!
Her class was pretty tough. I enjoyed anatomy with her but this was different. Lecture is strictly powerpoint...boring! Don't waste your time in her Bio 142 class, you'll probably have to repeat in anyway. You're better off taking it with someone else.
Do not take Prof. Dudzik. I dropped her class after the first test. She expect you to write down word for word correct answers in her essay questions. Unless you can do this...take care. Otherwise, I will never recommend her. She doesn't care about the students and how many will pass her class. A lot of her lectures are not on the test.
I would recommend Kim for Anatomy. The material is hard, but you just need to take the time to study. She works off power point and makes it accessible on her website. She usually lectures for about the 1st hour and a half, and the rest of the time is yours to study the models and charts. She tells you what will be essay questions on the test.
The class itself was very interesting. Kim teaching it: made it extremely hard. No matter how much I studied I always ended up with a C. Exams are hard she mixes the words a lot so when you are sure you studied a lot and you start reading the exam Q's you get confused. If I had another chance to pick someone else I would choose someone else.
Compared to anatomy@grossmont you don't have to study for two exams at the same time and write a research paper bottom line anatomy is hard but she makes it possible to pass
When we first started the class there were 45+ people and by the end there were 20+ left. She's very hard on the students as if she wants us to fail. I would NEVER take her again. Listen to the other people's comment... she's hard & expects you to answer word for word from the book or lecture. He assignments will take FOREVER & for hours!!
Physio is a hard class and she was very helpful. Lots of studying required. Lots of homework assigned, but it helped to boost up grade. No problem answering any questions.
The worst teacher of my college career. Boring. Unable to apply physio knowledge to the HUMAN body. She should go into zooology-- her actual degree. Lecture was painful, lab was worse. Very vague on essay question possibilites. For ex she could give a list of 8 possibilites and then have 5 on the test...But she won't. Unimaginative. Scattered.
This class is HARD and she doesn't make it any easier. She can also be mean spirited at times with comments to students. She gives not CLEAR, CONCISE, study guides for exams. Study everything! If you are going to school FULL TIME, don't take this class.
Do not take Anatomy with this professor unless you have no life and no job and have time to read the text completely 10 times. This woman is not helpful at all. She made me not want to ask for help because of her demeaning and condescending attitude. Her tests are impossible. This is the only class ever dropped. Nothing good to say about her.
Her Physiology lab was consistently stimulating and reinforced what we learned in lecture. That being said, she wasn't my lecture professor. The major complaints I heard about her from her lecture students were: Half the students failed her exams and she wasn't helpful at all.
I passed this class with a B-. I had to quit my job to keep up with the reading and class work, and my house got foreclosed because I quit my job, but it was all worth it at the end just to see that B- on my transcript. So if you don't mind sleepless nights and no social life, then I recommend this class. R.I.P. Life
WORST MISTAKE TAKING THIS TEACHER! The homework she assigns is USELESS and she def picks favorites. The class was full with people standing up for the first few weeks, and by the withdraw deadline, about only 20 remained. The 80% who withdrew were smart. I think only 15 people passed out of 50.
Listen to what everyone is saying. She is the worst teacher I've ever had. I didn't pass with the grade I wanted, and the dean at sdsu, agrees with me that she was un-just with grading towards me. Her lectures are beyond boring and God forbide you ask her for help or email her. Try and stay away from her is the best advice I can give anyone!
I read reviews from this site prior to signing for her class and they were pretty negative. However, I still took it. I passed the class with a B+ and a lot of knowledge of Anatomy. I put A LOT of work into studying. I went to labs, and utilized all that was available. I recommend her for any one who really wants to pratice good study habits.
Heard this was a hard teacher but she was so nice and related things to everyday life. Study the models in open lab. I rarely used the book but focus on finishing the lab book on time.
She is a very nice helpful professor. I recommend for evryone to take her class.
She lectures whats exactly in the book. Its best to attend class daily, stay after to study (if she finishes early, which is often), go to open lab and study the models, and do the workbook for extra points. Shes not a bad teacher, its just the class. She doesnt make it any easier, but you cant blame her for that.
I took her for anatomy and this is an extremely difficult and time consuming class, but Dudzik is an amazing teacher and really cares about her students! I took this class with 5 other classes and was able to pass with a B. If you are willing to work and put in the effort to study and attend class you will no doubt pass this class! Highly recommend
I've taken hard professors but she is just completely unfair. Kim is absolutely full of herself because she is the only physiology professor at Cuyamaca. She grades her exams based on how well you know the subject compared to herself. I have a 3.7 GPA at UCSD and was unable to retain any information from her lectures.
She is such a sweet person (NOT full of herself at all). I took just the lab and it was seriously the easiest class i've taken. You take a quiz every week,a blood pressure report, & 1 group presentation and that's it. Come on time and she reviews before the quiz and basically gives you the answers if you pay attention. Loved her!
There are three cases with this instructor as follows:drop, c, or D.It does notaffect your actual grade even if you do very well on quizzes and homework. She has a snake-in-the grass technique by dropping quizzes even if they are A,so quizzes score can not boost up students exam scores.Besides, her preposterous extra credit questions come from
Easy lab class, explains labs well, easy going teacher, labs & questions due every week, quiz each class, Blood pressure report and presentation on a disease due at end of semester. Seems like a lot of work though for a 1 credit class, but that's not her fault. Easy grader, just do the work. She goes over lab answers before you turn them in.
Class is pretty simple and basic. She gives you "homework" that is essentially the test study guide. If you follow the homework and fully understand it's concepts you are pretty much going to pass the test with some sort of a B. If you apply yourself you can totally pass this class! She's a good teacher!
Professor Dudzik is one who I highly recommend to take if you have the opportunity. A kindred person, she is very enthusiastic about her subject and manages to make complicated topics understandable. She even allowed us to see the cadavers which was the highlight of my semester. Very helpful in lab and not the difficult of a grader.
she is a great teacher. Her lectures are exactly whats on the test. pay very close attention to what she says in her lecture. She is very nice and good at teaching. i highly recommend her. :) Attendance is very important. if you miss one day, you will be very behind and once u are behind it is very hard to get caught up. she is a GREAT TEACHER.!!!
SHE IS AN AMAZING TEACHER! SHE IS VERY HARD, BUT IF YOU SHOW INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT AND CLASS ITSSELF, YOU WILL GET THE GRADE YOU WANT. IF YOU DONT PUT THE EFFORT IN STUDYING YOU WILL NOT PASS. SHE IS VERY HELPFUL, INFORMATIVE AND IS THERE DURING OFFICE HOURS FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. HER TEST ARE HARD, SO STUDY STUDY STUDY! SHE IS AWSOME!!!
The class bio 141, physiology, contains a lot of material. You will struggle or fail if you do the following: 1. miss lectures 2. do not read 3. do not familiarize yourself with the material BEFORE the lecture. Ms. Dudzik is a great teacher. She is available always at her office hours. She provides good analogies for class subjects and is honest!
Very good lectures. Is very passionate about biology and animals! Lots of labs, lots of studying time!
Overall nice teacher. Not clear cut about what is expected of you for the tests. There is A LOT of information to memorize and she doesn't explain things as clear as she should. A little disorganized and lazy. Could be better, but if you work hard, complete the study guides, and study her powerpoints you can get an A. Start studying on day 1.
Bio 240; its no joke. You learn ALOT and there is a TON of material. For this reason the class is tough. Dudzik is a pretty good teacher. She explains things pretty well and most all of the material is on the powerpoints. You need to know every single thing that is on the powerpoints. Tests can be answered from the powerpoints and the study guides.
Do not take Professor Dudzik, she is a difficult grader and most did not pass the class.
Dudzik is a good professor but she's not that clear specially when it comes to models. If you want an A you'll need to study on a daily basis by literally memorizing all the lectures
Kim is awesome! She cares about students, encourages question asking. Shes a tough grader, but for a class like this she should be. Read chapters in book ahead. Her lectures are clear.
Show up to class, ask questions, and STUDY! Studying the night before will get you nowhere. She gives out study guides which is highly recommended to do all of them! Your grade relies mainly your exams and your research paper. The lectures come with a lot of information and the exams are pretty long. She's approachable! BUT GET READY TO STUDY.
She's a tough grader. Spelling counts, labs count, and in order to do well you must go to open labs. She covers everything in the book, and is very in depth with the Information. Sometimes she snaps when you ask questions during lecture. Overall very challenging class, but doable if you have no life. She could be funny at times.
Dudzik teaches the physiology portion of the class, but she will help you with any questions you might have. Bio240 is a dense class. if you think you will go to class, take some notes, and get an A. haha you wont even get a C. if you cannot understand physiology while Dudzik is teaching, do yourself a favor and change your major. shes amazing!!
Don't take her .She encouraged me to not show up to final to receive an d.. she is a tough grader and tests are extremely hard Half the class dropped by drop time . For office hours she seems annoyed and rushed me out plenty of times stay away you've been warned she is one of the worst physiology teachers not encouraging and lectures are dry.
Great professor overall! Cares about her students and is clear during lecture. If you're unsure about anything during lecture she explains the concept very well if you stay for a few minutes after class and ask questions! I recommend taking her for physiology
Her tests are really difficult. The homework is due on the day of the test and for each chapter there are 20 or more questions. A lot of reviews say you get a lot of homework points but its only 5 points per chapter and she actually reads each answer and marks point off. Half of the class failed the first exam. She doesnt like answering questions.
Print out lecture slides and follow along. Quizzes were easier than tests, but tests were 1/2 short answer which gave you a chance to show what you know. HW question answers are straight from lecture. Just pay attention. Only negative was she emphasized to study topics that wouldn't be on tests, so study everything since it's a hard subject anyway.
Class is based on 4 easy quizzes (drops lowest score), 4 exams, & study guides/HW (due on day of exam). She's very fair & overall is a good teacher. She only tests on stuff she lectures & she posts all her lectures online. If you actually try to answer the study guide questions, you'll do good on the exam & you'll pass the class! 100% recommend her
Physio itself is a hard class. Tests are 70-80% short answer so you have to be able to understand the material enough to explain it. Dudzik is a great professor & explains the info well. She's fair & clear on what she expects. She's always willing to answer your questions. She lets you record her lectures & she posts her powerpoints online.
Hard when grading exams. Lot of long answer write in questions not enough time. Shes a good teacher and can be funny.
Nice Professor. Tough grader. Lectures are good. Exams have many essay questions which you need to be very detailed and thorough or else points will be deducted. Definitely must study daily and memorize lectures.
I did the hybrid class and was very convenient, lecture videos were very helpful. I would've liked more time on exams. she likes to have essay questions on exams but gives the opportunity to make up exam points with office hrs or assignments. I would recommend her, she is not rude, and tries to be funny. Very good.
TAKE HER FOR PHYSIOLOGY!! She is by far the best teacher to learn physiology from!! By far, one of the most caring teachers in Cuyamaca. Her main priority is making sure her students are set up for success. If you put in the work for this class, she will too. Tons of EC opportunities to the point where its impossible to make up loss points.
i love her is an understatement, i ended the class with a 98% when i got a C in two exams. She gives endless extra credit options to make sure you are able to pas
wow!!!! i wish all science teachers were as amazing as her!! She made physiology fun, inspirational, and interesting to learn. I had a hy
She is quite possibly one of the best professors for all of my STEM classes. I want to give special appreciation to Kim because she really is the goat. Physio is hard and she makes it doable. She is caring, has office hours, explains things extremely well in detail, and her recorded lectures are so good!! Amazing professor, take her!!!!
Physiology is hard, not the professor herself. She lets you make up the first 2 exams if you get below a C. She provides extra credit on exams. It's a good class and professor, you just need to study in order to get an A. Her lectures are online videos but, so old. Practice the essay questions she provides, as theyre are a lot of points on exams.
I'm not done with this class yet but professor Dudzik is really great. What I love is that she gives extra credit questions on the exams that have helped me score higher. Her study guide questions are good preparation as well. Very sweet and shes funny, highly recommend !!
Professor Dudzik is really nice professor. She loves and knowledgeable about what she teaches. She cares about her students and makes the class much more enjoyable and easier than its. She gives plenty of extra credit to help students to pass and she is clear about the expectations of exams. She is kind and funny, never get bored in her lectures.
Dudzik is great! She cares for her students and , because physiology is hard, she offers a lot of EC. However, you HAVE to be very specific when answering her essay questions on the exams. Just describing anatomy and processes like you are in BIO 120 won't work. **Note, if you are neurodivergent DO NOT take her. I struggled so much.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND, CLASS WAS VERY DISORGANIZED!!
SHES SO NICEEE LOVED HER!! Her lecture videos make so much sense and fill out the study guides as you're going through them! she's so sweet and caring
Find a good way to study, and you'll be a-okay! The professor was so caring and such a great person
Don't get me wrong, the professor was nice; however, her teaching skills aren't as nice! She doesn't say things clearly & she emphasizes certain topics that never end up being on exams!! Save your time and please find another professor. Her study guides are also very confusing…
Dudzik is so nice and caring! She isn't rude AT ALL. Ask her any questions and go to her office hours as well! She's so sweet! Do not take Fontaine for lecture. Take DUDZIK!!! Exams are not easy, but her study guides set you up for success!
Honestly, please find someone else. She's nice but class is so disorganized. Her canvas is so confusing, videos are so old! Half of the class used to fail her exams. Good luck if you take her.
So hard and confusing! So much info that you won't know what is what because she lectures all over the place! Take her and you'll see! Disorganized.
Loved her, she's so nice!!!!
Physio is a tough but not as bad as anatomy. The professor gives you a lot of opportunity for extra points on exams and a lot of point in general for just being present and engaging in class. Exams are written portion heavy so you really do need to understand the material but she tells you exactly what to study for those.
She is a very good professor. You have to maintain a D average on exams to pass the class, which isn't bad. Her videos are old, but they help you study. She also gives out study guides for each unit. If you read the study guides while watching her lectures, it will all make sense. She is always there for you and doesn't mind answering questions.
Very nice professor. There's lots of opportunity in this class through exams, quizzes, participation, assignments, etc. Her multiple-choice questions are relatively forgiving, but her exams are pretty written heavy, so make sure you study for those. If you put in the work, you will do just fine.
Best physiology professor ever! She's so caring and wants everyone to do well, her words are also so encouraging. Exams all consist of multiple choice questions, as well as written essay questions. Multiple choice questions are not hard at all, just study the big concepts which will most likely be what the essay questions are.
LOVE HER OMG. SHES SO CHILL & NICE. EASY A. EXAMS WERE SO EASY
