good professor. tests are very tough but that is what we will see on CPA. She prepares you for real life and for what will be on the CPA. She does not make tests easy but who would want that

Great professor, love her teaching style, very easy to understand. Her exams are not easy but it is everything that she taught you, forces you to know the material which is a plus if you are majoring in accounting. Got an A in the class would difinety take her again wish she was teaching Theory 2.

Great teacher who makes productive use of time spent in class by clarifying more challenging material. You must know the material to do above average.In her class you may actually need to think as well. One of FAU's more effective professors.

Her tests are very, very hard. This is a new style for accounting class so it is a little disorganized. She is a nice teacher and the overall grade is generously curved, which helps with the near impossible tests. She is a nice teacher if you actually talk to her. There is really no other options for accounting. Just read chapters multiple times.

I wouldn't consider her a teacher, at all. Gets the powerpoint slides off the book company's website and reads them to you with mandatory attendence through the iclicker. Lecture and lab were a waste of time. All you need is the book's website, do the test questions they provide and get an A, because she gets the questions from their test bank.

Great teacher who cares about her students.She wants you to do well-a 65% and above is passing.However,the once a week lab/lecture format is absolutely pointless and not needed.I would rather have 2 days of lecture to understand the topic from the prof-after all she picks the exam questions.

This class is very hard. Prof. Dunn is a good teacher and knows the material well. The tests are very different from the homework but you still must do all of the homework to receive a good grade. You also must use the book website and do all of the practice exams.

Does a very good job of relaying the concepts

Accounting is boring, thus the class is boring. She has a doctorate but is not overdemanding. The tests are fairly difficult. You can improve your score through attendence to lecture, lab and doing online quizzes. Accounting is difficult to teach in a 250+ person class but she does a good job.

she's interesting and relates to students well. wants everyone to become an accounting major. gives helpful info about job searching, and teaches from the text. has 3 tests and a final and drops the lowest test grade. do the online quizzes/hw and go to lab. you get extra points just for going!

The best teacher ever. If you really want to learn accounting, you want to take her. She seems tough at the begining. but her grading is excellent-she gives a few points here and there. Her tests are a bit confusing the way she words them but if you pay a lot of attention in class and study you will do great in this class.

She's very enthusiastic, funny, and makes the class interesting. She really wants students to pass her class. I would take her again!

She explains most of the material so I would say you have to go to class and pay attention. She gave away a lot of extra points which made it easier to get a good grade in the class even though the tests were difficult. Overall though, she repeated the main concepts again and again to help you remember but you definitely have to study!

I like her. She doesn't ask anything on the tests that weren't covered in class or in lab. But the questions are very difficult in their wording. Watch for curve balls; know, know, and did I say know? the concepts inside and out. She will help you and the lab T.A.s ARE hot. Except for Leigh ;) Great class, but don't think about coasting..

Personally I like her and she does explain things well in class. Her tests are another story. The tests cover the same topics from lecture and the online homework. The wording on the tests it awful though. You have to KNOW the material inside and out or you will fail this class. GO to class and read the book if you want a good grade!!

This class was a cake walk. Dr. Dunn is the easiest professor in the school. Did not study or go to class and got A's on everything!

This class was rather challenging but Dr. Dunn explained things well. Her tests were difficult but there are ample opportunities for tutoring. Do ur hw, go to lab, and go to her office hrs and u'll be fine. She curved at the end. I'd take her again.

READ THIS TO YOUR CLASS FOR FAIR WARNING- ACG2021= HARD. She is a good teacher & would do better if there were less than 300 students. You get only 2 days a week dedicated to accnting 1 is spent with Ms. Dunn & the other is spent with a T.A. Mine was a complete joke & not much learning happened in my other class. Tests are HARD! Dr. Dunn is fantastic!She helps make hard material EASIER.Class isnt easy,but its not impossible to get an A. Read the book,go to class & lab or u will get lost.Test are NOT TRICKY but u need to KNOW the basic concepts, AKA STUDY!My TA Ivan was great, goes out of his way to make sure u understand material. Overall excellent class, I learned a lot.

OK LISTEN UP PEOPLE ACCOUNTING IS A VERY HARD CLASS so don't think u can just scam thru it or wait til last minute to study cause u will FAIL. No doubt that for this class you have to study and read a lot! who said accounting was easy? But Professor Dunn is a great teacher and tries to give you all the help you need in order to pass the class! a lot of help available if you are stugguling, like the T.A's SI sessions, tutoring. With all the help available you can definately PASS the class

I took accounting 1 with Dunn, she is the only one who teaches it. I know a lot of people dont like her, but i think she really tries to help everyone understand the material. She curved at the end which really helped a lot and we used iclickers everyday in class. Only annoying thing is she kicks you out if you talk/text/facebook, etc. which is dum

Ok, First of all. If your major is accounting and you find this class "hard" find another major. seriously. To start the class is not "hard" it might be hard if you do not have a good memory. Dunn tries very hard to simplify everything. Lab is a waste, I found myself learning the best from reading the book. Read the book and practice from.

Prof. Dunn knows her stuff. The lectures are very clear. She explained in depth. :-)I took this class in 6 week summer. Got a B. Put in the time study study study. Go to labs and SI sessions in PS113 and you'll do fine 100points just for going to lab. Read before lecture and reread chapters after lecture. It's the only way Also get a good TA!

I had Dr. Dunn for Accounting I. She is one of the best professors I've had. She wants you to succeed. The TA's are great (I had Joseph, who just graduated, thus won't be a TA anymore). SI is really helpful too. Do the homework manager, go to lecture, go to lab and you will do well.

Go to class, read book, go over power points, go to SI, Use textbook website. You should do fine, not the easiest class but not the hardest either. Shes a good teacher.

Dr.Dunn tries really hard to simplified Accounting concepts. So, going to lectures is important. Lab is helpful and you'll get points to boost the grade. Reading and understanding the textbook is a MUST! So, go to class & lab, do the online quizzes, and read the textbook, then you'll pass the class.

This is probably one of the best teachers at FAU. Her lectures are very important to attend and take notes. The class is hard but not unreasonable, put time into studying and you will be fine.

SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER. EXPLAINS THE MATERIAL EXTREMELY WELL. ATTEND ALL HER LECTURES, DO THE PRACTICE ONLINE QUIZES AND YOUR HOMEWORK AND YOU SHOULD DO GREAT.

Very good teacher. She's nice, she cares, she really tries to explain the material and make sure you understand it, and she's cute too. Read the material before class and you will do fine, otherwise it really gets hard to keep up.

I was terrified of taking this class & hurting my GPA based on previous comments. This class is NOT hard if u do the work.There are so many opportunities besides the actual exams 2 keep a good grade.Also, if u r having trouble with the material - there's so much help. Lab and SI are great - go! There's a lot of work, but do it & you'll be fine.

Accounting is by no means fun or easy to do. If you have to take it, take Dunn. She is definition of giving you limitless help in raising your grade. Attendance is mandatory and can help you get an easy 100 pts towards your grade. Didn't enjoy it because it was accounting after all, but she gives you plenty of chances for a good grade.

Best teacher for the worst subject.

Dr. Dunn is great, and that reflects back on to her TA's. Accounting is not the easiest subject, so lecture attendance is a no-brainer. If you do your connect quizzes (which I didn't do, and still got a B), do the homework problems and go to class everyday, you're guaranteed to pass. Overall, great professor for a hard class.

Good teacher. Tries to make accounting interesting and easy to understand. You should read the chapters she assigns in order to better understand the material. Tests are hard but not impossible to pass. Attendance is mandatory but is an easy 10% of the grade. She also has a convenient grading system which can help you out in the end.

Dr. Dunn is a great professor, this class is not easy but you can definitely do well if you try. I know normally attendance is mandatory but I took it in the summer and she didn't make us use clickers, attendance only counted in lab. Her tests are a little tricky because of the way she words the questions but the SI Sessions really help!

Great Professor. I thought that accounting would be difficult but it wasn't. I missed tons of classes, but when I attended she was awesome. Final grade was a B, and could've easily been an A if I attended regularly.

For those who are lazy, this class will be a nightmare. However, if you take good notes and go to her lectures, you'll learn a LOT. Loved her teaching style. Tests were not easy but not bad either. She made the subject interesting. Best accounting teacher at FAU!

Dr. Dunn is a brilliant professor. She is compelling and speaks with high authority on the subject matter. I love her wit too. She is highly organized in class and makes use of lecture time efficiently, as well as very precised and flawless in her lectures. Her grading system is generous, with lots of extra credit from assignments & attendance.

All assignments are open book until the final. All deadlines are CLEARLY defined. She treats you like an adult, and expects you to behave like one. The guy below me was probably one of the ones begging for leniency at the end after skipping class all semester. She is very approachable and takes as many questions in class as you can ask.

A good teacher but changed the syllabus a few times which is hard when taking a summer class and your trying to make plans. Overall, she was a good teacher. I'm not sure if I would recommend her to many students - although she understands the course, she has trouble explaining some concepts to students. I used the book A LOT!

It was very easy to tell that Dr. Dunn has a passion for ACG she explains the material very well and she wants you to understand the subject. The test and quizzes on Connect were easy but for the final MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS "STRESSED" in the course. The review for the final had nothing to do with what was on the final.

She's great! I use to have so much difficulty with accounting. It's a hard subject so I can see why she gets the blame of being tough. Honestly the homework gives you a nice boost so don't slack and not do it. There should be no reason to not complete assignments. Also GO to the extra help sessions provided by fau they give you great study guides!

Dr. Dunn knows so much about accounting and knows how to teach it really well. She can explain difficult concepts and make them easier to understand. She really cares about her students. She was absent for a few days during my semester due to medical issues, but she came back quickly and taught everything like she wasn't gone. Amazing professor!

Although tests are multiple choice, they're hard. Used Connect for homework which can be time consuming (but doable). Definitely go to class, concepts can be hard to apply and you HAVE to memorize in order to know the answers. Professor Dunn really cares for her students and wants them to learn. Overall, a great professor. But you'll have to work.

Professor Dunn is an outstanding professor who is passionate about accounting. She genuinely cares for her students and instills her passion for accounting into them every class. I strongly recommend this professor for any accounting-related course, and I'm very upset that I won't have her next semester. She is a phenomenal human being! Take her!

Dr. Dunn is the best Professor I have ever had! She told us in the first class that she would make some of us change our majors to accounting, and I ended changing because of her class! She is so caring , and she makes the material easier to understand. She is always trying to make sure the students are following the lecture. Ask questions!!

Dr. Dunn is such an amazing person! She is super sweet, and you can tell that she genuinely cares about her students. She loves teaching this class, and will try to change everyone's major to accounting hahaha. I wish she taught more accounting courses at FAU! Best Professor award should go to Dr. Dunn!
