excellent teacher!! notes are crystal clear..i liked her way of teaching. she is really helpful.loves to answer all the questions in the class. i never felt boring in her class. all the tests are from the notes. highly recommended :)

Kim speaks very clearly and delivers material in a way that is easy to understand. She is organized, always on time and has obviously put a lot of time into lesson planning. She provides notes that basically summarize what is in the text.

all her quiz and exams are based on her notes, very friendly and helpful! weekly quiz on weekly anatomy will help you alot for the midterms, the final is cumulative.. its not that hard if you study well. test with m/c, fill in the blank, matching/short answers. GREAT TEACHER

She is really a nice teacher. I like her notes,which are very clear, but the midterm and final exams are a bit tricky. You need to understand all the materials and notes totally.

Don't waste $160 on the textbook, her notes are print out and they are perfect. She's really nice, goes around the class and helps you when you need it. Instructions are clear. She gives weekly quizzes (which is fair since you're in post-sec). Her quizzes are based off her notes. Study her notes weekly, review, and you will succeed.

Extremely helpful! Her notes are always crystal clear. The classes are fast-paced and the attendance is mandatory (if you wanna do well in her classes, that is). She's really approachable in class and during her office hours. Plus, her slides, class activities and animations make the class way more interactive. Thumbs up! =)

Excellent professor, very intelligent, meticulous in her organization and presentation of course material. I am an arts student taking this course and I was told it would be challenging for me - this professor made it fun and interesting (it is a hard course!!) I love biology now! Thanks Dr.H :)

I wish she was teaching the second half of this course as well. Clear, concise, passionate. The best prof anyone could hope for. Class is fun, and interactive. She is very open to questions and repeating things which is helpful for everyone as much as you hate to admit it. I can only hope to be like her one day.

If you get this teacher, stick with her. She is the best you can hope to get for a bio teacher. Even if you are not a fan of bio, you will learn to enjoy it with Kim.

Kim is an amazing instructor! I have taken both bio 1115 and 1215 with her. Everything on the exams are in her notes so if you study hard and memorize everything you will do very well in the course. She gives out quizzes every week which can either pull up your average if you study or pull your mark down.

Kim is a very smart and professional teacher. Yes quizzes every week but they keep you on schedule. If you are not a big power point student then avoid her class. Final exam was very difficult. Tested on small details of previous units, brought my grade down. Exam seemed harder than her usual tests. Overall she is a very good teacher.

Hadn't taken any high school Bio (beyond Science 10) and was super nervous about how hard this course is, but Kim was nothing short of incredible. Extremely helpful, organization of notes/assignments/tests was impeccable. Go to every class. Only downfall is she finishes every sentence with "Mmm'kay?" but you'll get over that. :) 10/10!

Kim was an amazing prof! The class was a challenge but Kim was there to help you along each step of the way. Her notes are very concise and clear and will help you to do well on the lab exam portion of the course as well! I highly reccomend taking her class! :)

Kim is an AMAZING prof. Although you will have to work hard in her class, it is completely worth it. There are weekly quizzes to keep you on track, but they are very helpful. I completely recommend Kim. If you ever need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask her! She's SO helpful :) she also likes to make corny jokes in class...it's cute.

I love her! She is soo clear and concise, her notes are too the point, everything she tests you on is straight from the notes so basically you don'y really need the book only to look at diagrams/pics. Kim is a very help and complete prof! She goes through concepts very well and ensures that everyone is on the same page before continuing. Her quizzes are simple but her exams are MADNESS. Her midterms are 2 hours long with a TON of writing but it preps you well for the final. Overall, very helpful !

Kim is a awesome teacher. Important to go to class because she does in-class actives that are worth marks. She uses iclikers. notes have fill-in-the-blanks that are explained in her lecture. She welcomes questions during and after class. Sometimes talks fast. Quiz mc, t/f, and written questions every week, drops two lowest: spelling counts.

Kim is one of the best teacher in the world. Her notes are clear and concise. She is able to articulate well in class and in office hours. As long as you study, you should do fine. Would take her again if only she taught in the fall semester.

Kim is a wonderful teacher! Hands down the best teacher I've ever had. Her notes/lectures are amazing and I didn't have to turn to my textbook once during her midterms/finals, everything was from her notes. Her tests are very straight forward and directly from her notes, study those well and you are guaranteed an A. Highly highly recommend her!!

Kim's lecture notes are clear and she is a very approachable person. During lectures she makes sure that everyone understands the concepts before moving on. She was there during labs so she could help us. Her lectures were very inspiring and I really enjoyed coming to class. I would definitely have her as a teacher again.

Very nice prof. Her notes are shell notes and are straight to the point. As long as you study her notes well and read the textbook then it's easy to get a good mark. Her pop quizzes are based on her notes. She uses iClicker in class so missing class will mean missing on iClicker marks. She gave an assignment for bonus marks for the first midterm.

Gives weekly quizzes but its all based off her notes. Gives analogies and draws pictures to help you understand material. Basically what you learned in Bio 12 but in more detail. Gives in class hw. Lab midterms are hard. Always willing to help; super nice. If you put in effort, getting an A is totally possible.

She has quizzes every single week, even if you have a midterm that week. Course load is already very heavy and with her in-class activities and weekly quizzes it just becomes very overwhelming. A great prof in general but her course load and her expectations are very high. A very hard marker, but she gives half marks. Her exams are very hard.

Kim is very understanding and friendly. She enjoys teaching and clarifying any concepts that students might ask. She can be really specific with writing answers. For example, she will deduct marks if you did not specifically answer the question she asks and if you incorrectly spelt something. However, this is good for future classes.

Quizzes aren't too bad, but her notes are really great, everything you need to know is in them. Lectures can be very fast paced and it's hard to keep up sometimes but you can always ask her questions she's super chill in that regard. Her exams are difficult but study and you'll be fine. Definitely would recommend.

She is a very approchable and nice person. the course is tough especially bc of amt of info. she is a tough grader. I was discouraged to see my marks bc for every little things marks r taken off (they r worth alot) so even though I spent so much time on this subject, i didn't get the grade I deserve.

Kim is an amazing teacher! Yes, I'm not gonna deny that hee course load is heavy but all you have to do is put in work, and if you're not willing to study for at least 2 hours a day I would avoid the course in general. She gives weekly quizzes based on her notes basically if you read over them you'll pass and her midterms aren't so bad either!

Kim is one of the best Biology teachers I have ever met. She is very smart, approachable, and willing to re-explain difficult concepts. Expect to write a quiz once per week. She also gives an optional bonus mark for the first midterm! The midterms are composed of 20 m/c, 10 fill in the blanks, and the rest are written (usually out of 70-75 marks).

Shes a gem. The way the class is laid out is designed to help you pass the course. Iclicker makes sure you dont fall asleep in class Quizes make sure you wont just cram last minute for Midterms. She gives amazing notes packages to students, whats on the package is on the test.

She is very humble, kind & encouraging. Will help you through things you "should know already" without judgement. Test questions can be tricky, so if you don't understand a concept well it is easy to make mistakes. Her note packages have everything you need, so reading the TB like a book isn't necessary but I still found it a very useful resource.

She wants you to pass the class. Very strict about rules so if you beg her to bump you she won't but she marks fairly, and has a bonus assignment for extra marks after the first midterm. Marks are from midterms, clickers, quizzes, assignments, and final, which make sure you are staying on track. Amazing notes, and really helpful in office hours.

Kim is an incredible teacher. She always encourages questions and curiosity, and she's helpful during office hours. If you don't understand a concept, she tries to explain it in different ways. The short answer section of her tests are a bit tricky, but if you take the time to make sure your answers are detailed, you'll get a decent mark.

Kimberly is one of the best teachers at Langara, and genuinely cares for each of her students to do well & understand the material. Her lectures are interesting, accompanied by her provided notes. Her exams are difficult, and she has quizzes on each chapter that are helpful for learning the material.

EXCELLENT Instructor! Clear lecture,explain well to you and make sure you understand material. She cares students and wants you learn from this course. There are quizzes every week. However, in order to get high marks, I found for myself, I do need spend some time to study. The short answer questions are not that easy and need details.

One of my favourite Biology professors. She made me love Bio even more. Classes are entertaining, she focuses on what is important and let you know which are sure test questions. Super approachable and always willing to help you understand.

Kim is a good biol prof that is able to condense a complex topic into digestible 8-20 min long asynchronous lectures. There are weekly synchronous tutorials in which participation will lead you to a better grade. Be ready for homework, group projects, multimedia presentation and more. Interesting class however sometimes tutorials/labs seemed muddy

you can tell she really cares about students doing well in her course, she gave opportunities to boost your grade via participation, 1 assignment resubmission and re-weighing the midterms. lecture content was a bit boring , but overall this was a very interesting course and the execution was done fairly well given the circumstances!

Kim is a great prof. She gave great advice+very caring during this term. Her weekly tutorials allowed me to further understand concept and participation was an easy way of boosting mark up. ONLY 2 things 1. her lecture material is a little boring, and sometimes long. 2. test/quizzes are a time crunch Overall I highly recommend her:)

One of the best professors that I've had this term. Despite of the course being tough, she made extra efforts to pull the spirits of everybody up. She walked us step-by-step through difficult assignments, gave excellent feedback on our quiz mistakes and ensured that everybody was on the same page with respect to what she taught.

Daily iClicker questions, and she only provides a template for the notes, which you need to complete based on the lecture content. Exams are straightforward but challenging, focusing on process-oriented questions that require step-by-step answers. Nevertheless, she is incredibly helpful and attentive, always willing to answer any questions.

If you really try to learn and memorize the course content, it will pay off. I would recommend studying for exams with some time in advance because there's a lot of materials to review. Course content isn't too hard just lots of memorizations. Kimberly is super sweet and she will be very encouraging/caring whenever you ask questions. Good luck!

Kim is GREAT. It's clear she cares about her students. As well, she's very accessible outside of class, and encourages students to come. She really enjoys biology and it reflects through how she teaches! She goes at the pace of the class and makes sure everyone's on the same page. She goes into so much detail and it's great. Attendance isn't mandatory but she usually has clicker questions which count toward part of your grade, so it's mandatory in a roundabout way. If you need a strong foundation in biology I strongly recommend her. Some of her quiz questions are sneaky so you have to really pay attention to details.
