Easy class, study the slides the night before the test and you should dominate. I came out with an A without putting forth that much effort. Not a very good teacher though. She's extremely boring, and you feel like your taking pre-school class the way she dumbs things down.
Makes some comments that seem to be opinion and states them as facts. Kind of steps on peoples toes. She told us that Tuscaloosa used to be an ocean?? Not sure what that was about..anyways she keeps things really simple..but she did give a test on the very first day of class which was also crazy..
Overall Lackey is a very good teacher. Sometimes she says things that are opinions and states them as facts. Seems to be very liberal even though she doesnt force her opinions on anyone. Her tests are very easy and all the info is loaded online before class, so you really dont have to go if you dont want to. Very good teacher and class.
Great teacher! She knows bio. can be pretty boring so she trys to relate it to things you'll need to know in life. I actually enjoy going to this class. very easy!
I dont know what any of you are talking about when you say this class is easy, it is a very difficult class!! Teacher is most helpful I have had, but her tests are very difficult, plan on making a C or worse in the course. Few students make A's. More students end up with C's and below.
The lecture for this class was really watered down and sometimes I found it really hard to stay away. The material is easy and the tests are a breeze if you study, but make sure you go to lab! It is so important. I made a 98 on my final, but I made a D in the course because I rarely went to lab.
this class is NOT easy. I personally did not like it at all. Labs are mandatory and to me, labs were the best part of the class. The teacher can be slighty boring, but she does try to spice it up a little.
Very opinionated. There is a clicker quiz most every day. While you don't have to come to class, attendance (by clicker quiz) is 15% of the grade. Lab was the best part of the class and is only worth 15% of the final grade as well. Forgets what she says. No review, no extra credit. Just tests.
The best part about this class is the lab, but it only counts 15% of your TOTAL grade. Another 15% goes to clicker quizzes and the remainder to exams. Along with her annoying, over-zealous "country" accent, she can't explain any concepts well. Using the most random examples, her lectures can get confusing. I would not recommend her at all.
Although she does have an extremely strong country accent that is at times annoying, overall she was a good professor. The material is boring, therefore the class is boring. She gave lots of real life applications for the things we were learning, and was a very friendly lady. She is a fine teacher, the material is what is so terrible.
just study powerpoints...easy A
Study the power points and go to class, a lot of times she puts questions on the test from material she talks about in class. She relates the material to real-life stories which helps you remember. Tests were easy once I figured her out.
Study powerpoints and you should be good. Watch out for some questions on her tests though because sometimes they can be tricky. Good teacher though.
This class was easy. She is a very nice person and will help you in any way that she can. Come to class, study powerpoints, and you should get an A. It is that easy. Like other read said, she some times is not as clear as she could be. She will throw a question on the test that is not at all clear. However, you still should get an A.
She is a great teacher the class is easy! You need your book though so get one. I would recomend buying one on the facebook marketplace instead of the supply store, they are cheaper and besides you cant sell it back.
BEST TEACHER EVER! took her for summer class and shes so much fun. you can really relate to her and talk to her about anything. i'd take her class again in a heartbeat! best class ever. very easy.
I'm not a science person, but she made it interesting. I liked going to her class and the book is easy to read! She made study guides for the tests so if you do those and look over the powerpoints, the tests aren't hard!
Class was really easy! Attendence isnt required, but come some for the quizzes. The quizzes are easy and she drops like 6 of them so thats good. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! You will not even open it! Just study notes and you will be fine! Lab is rediculously easy too. I didnt even try in this class and made a B, try a little an you will easily make an A!
By far the best teacher I have ever had! I failed my first test, asked her for help and she tutored me herself. Biology is not my strongest subject and I ended up with a B. I would definitely recommend taking her class!
Her class isn't hard at all. It is boring, you won't use the textbook. The only thing that sucks is that you can't miss class because she does quizzes with the clickers. Homework can be tough, but if you try you can make an A.
She is very nice. Easy and fun class to take
This class was a waste. The only reason I went to class occasionally was for the clicker points. She said on the first day that this class was taught mainly so that we would be able to help our kids with hw in a few years. From that point on I wasn't interested. The online HW was easy. The tests were common sense. You'll get an A in this class!
Took her this summer and she's a great teacher. I was dreading this class but she made everything super easy, and she never made anything complicated. It's definitely a great class if you're just trying to meet the requirements.
Test are nothing if you look over slideshows and do the study guide. She does clicker question so you gotta go to class. You also have homework due every testing period. She also does pre chapter quizes every week. No worries you can google everything! Take her class, wonderful teacher, easy a, kinda funny, and a southern draw like no other.
good teacher- BIGGEST southern draw thats so entertaining. GO TO CLASS for the clicker questions at the beginning and end of the lectures and no need to take notes. but read the power points to study and you will do well in the class!
She is the greatest woman! She will answer all of your questions and she is so kind. I LOVED having her and her accent is precious. I recommend her!
One of the greatest teachers of Biology. Very understanding of a married man's busy schedule and was ALWAYS willing to work with you if you need to make up. Will bend over backwards to get you research. Knows everyone in the department if you are a Bio Major. Very approchable and made dry information very fun. Take her!!! She was awesome.
Dr. Lackey is an awesome professor and is very understanding of outside commitments that a student may have. Allows you to miss class as long as you get the weekly homework done and is willing to help students outside of class. Material is easy as long as you review her powerpoints.
Dr. Lackey is a very sweet lady. She is however, not very good at explaining things. She tends to get off topic attempting to give examples that really don't help. She is willing to listen to you if you have a complaint about a test question or homework. Fairly easy class overall, just study the power points and you should be fine.
This is bio for majors. She is super sweet but TESTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. she does clicker questions so class is mandatory. Her class is extremely difficult. The other bio teachers arent much better but very hard
Dr. Lackey was so helpful. The class was hard because the amount of material you're required to learn but she tried very hard to prepare you for the tests. Attendance not mandatory, but extra points given for clicker quizzes.
Don't take this teacher if you don't plan on coming to EVERY single class. I had over a 100% test average but because of her in class clicker quizes, I ended with a B+ in the class. She has a horrible southern accent and rambles about useless stuff for days but as long as you do the extra credit, read the book, and GO TO CLASS, you will be fine.
Amazing teacher especially for freshman. Tests were hard but gave extra credit and even with 2 C's on tests I managed to make an overall A. Definitely go to every class, if I missed more than one it would have changed my overall grade. Gave best college and career advice for a science major in my freshman year when I asked.
Do NOT take this woman. Her tests are ridiculous and its seems like she just makes up random questions out of thin air. She is very helpful though. If I could do it over again, I would take Dr. Caldwell. I made an A in the class because I studied a ridiculous amount and got lucky.
She's really hard to understand with her accent and just didn't make the class enjoyable at all. She has all these far fetched topics that don't relate to what we're learning.
I took this when I was Pre-Med, but it was also first semester of freshman year. If you skip class, you will NOT pass. She posts all powerpoints online. If you read over those, the tests will be much easier. Reading the entire book is not necessary, but redoing homework will be VERY helpful.
Professor Lackey is one of the best professors that I ever had the pleasure of having. She is very clear and makes things very simple by using real world examples. Her powerpoints are online and there isn't that much homework. She is also very helpful and will be willing to work with you if you just talk to her.
Lackey has the best analogies around, she will give great feedback when asked questions and likes to use her shoes as examples. Best teacher ever.
Mrs. Lackey is amazing. Though the material is very hard which makes the tests very hard, she is by far the best biology professor. I had mono for the first two months of school and she met with me every week to go over stuff that I missed and emailed me frequently asking how I was doing. Essentially- hard class but AMAZING professor!!! TAKE HER!!!
Ms. Lackey is a great professor. She gives great analogies that will stick in your head. She is straight-forward on what she expects and what her tests will be like. Homework problems are set up to be the hardest examples you will see, so the tests come easier. She is there to help any student who is struggling. I would recommend her for bio.
She is awesome and very helpful. Seriously, if you go to her she will do everything in her power to help you. Also, she is a great resource and fun to talk to.
Lackey is an amazing teacher. I loved her humor and southern accent. She lectures straight from the powerpoints with her own little twists you can miss class and still be caught up. Her tests are fairly easy as long as you study and read the powerpoints. Her homework is super easy and CLICKER QUIZES SAVE LIVES! PARTICIPATE FOR BONUS POINTS!!
Professor Lackey is a sweet, southern mom that really cares about all her students. She genuinely wants all her students to do well, and holds many study sessions before all of her tests. She curved 2 of the 4 tests I took in her class this past semester. She gives clicker quizzes in class everyday for extra credit- those points add up! I love her!
Didn't even need to buy the textbook. Homework saves bad tests, but her tests were very easy. I didn't study at all and I got an A on every test. Clicker questions are extra credit during class.
Dr. Lackey has very clear grading criteria and always lets students know what to expect on the tests. Some test questions are confusing, but a lot are repeat from the homework. There are 3 clicker questions a day that could add up to 5 points to your final grade which is nice. She's very cute and southern and wants everyone to succeed.
Best biology teacher there is. Clear on everything and makes this hard class bearable. Put in work and study everyday, as a biology major should, and an A is possible. Nicest women, makes class interesting!
Awesome teacher. I knew a lot of the information from high school, but wish I had gone to class more often because quizzes count for bonus points. Tests were easy and straight forward. Lectures are based straight off of the powerpoint. She was great when it came to the end of the semester and I needed half a point to go from an A- to an A.
Dr. Lackey is a great teacher! She makes her lectures interesting enough and it is easy to understand her. She loves to demonstrate things with her shoes! Beware of her tests. They are all online and VERY HARD!! You need to study a ton for them!
Dr. Lackey was an amazing professor. If you're a biology major, take her! Her power points are pretty simplified and studying them will get you an A on the exams. The homework is due every Sunday and it's extremely easy. You'll finish in 20 minutes max. There aren't any quizzes and she gives extra credit so make sure you go to class!
Amazing professor just take her advice from day one stay on top of material and you will do well.
I chose this class because when I looked at the comments at rate my professor I thought I would be fine. This class is extremely hard. You have to read that textbook extremely well if you expect to pass the class. All my roommates have dropped the class so far. The homework is extremely easy, but the test are difficult. You better be ready to read.
She is a great professor! She really cares about her students success and is more than willing to help you if you put the effort into her class. You definitely have to study 1-2 hours after each lecture. She warns you from the beginning that you will struggle if you get behind, and she's right. She is a very nice lady and makes lectures interesting
The class is not mandatory but clicker quizzes are given every class so you will lose points by not going.
Lackey is awesome! Shes not easy so dont expect to breeze through this course just because she has good reviews. All of my roommates had to drop the class because they failed the first two tests so STUDY. I never took notes and ended up with an A so just study the PowerPoints and make sure you have a clear understanding of the content
This class is challenging, but Dr. Lackey is a great teacher!! You must study well in advance if you want to do well. She gives clicker quizzes everyday, so you have to go to class. Some end up counting as bonus at the end of the semester. Homework is easy. She is really sweet and willing to help outside of class if you make the time to go to her.
She will make you think the class is hard. If you attend a reasonable amount of lectures (90%) do minimal studying outside of class, and do all the homework you will pass this class. Pro tip: make an outline for each chapter using the "Learning Goals" at the end of the presentations (posted on blackboard)
Makes very useful powerpoint that help with tests
Dr Lackey is one of the best professors Ive ever had. Her lectures are interesting and easy to follow, and all of the notes are online. Tests are straight forward but you still need to read the text book and notes. Dont skip because clicker points can bring you down in the end. If you have the chance, take her.
Really great professor. as long as you show interest in the class and try, you should be able to pull a b+ or higher. She's super sweet and always willing to help as long as you aren't asking dumb questions like how to calculate your grade when she's explained it 10x in class.
I adore Dr. Lackey. She is a great lecturer and will help you as much as she can, but she can be tough when you need to hear it. If you take her class seriously, go to class every day (she gives multiple clicker questions in every class) and study a respectable amount you should do fine. She's harder than some of the other bio teachers though.
I absolutely loved Dr. Lackey for BSC114. Her lectures were always interesting and she'd throw in some stories quite frequently. Homework is easy and if you go over the powerpoints from class before the test, you'll do fine. I wish she taught more Bio classes at UA.
Great professor, hard class. She really cares about the material and the students and it is evident in her lectures. She will often give you test questions and at the end of the semester she gave bonus points.
She really worked with me on my grade because I came to her early and explained that I was having trouble with the clicker quizzes. DO NOT SKIP CLASS, you can miss as many as 10 points in one day which is 1 point on your final grade. But, she does drop a lot of points so if you miss a couple days it'll work out. Best bio prof at UA for sure.
Dr. Lackey is a great choice for BSC114. She genuinely cares about her students and her tests are not nearly as heard as she says they will be. With that being said, there are clicker quizzes every class so attendance is mandatory. Overall, a great professor... you won't regret taking her!
Dr. Lackey is amazing! Her lectures always correspond to what is on the test and she is really funny when she is teaching. Attendance is technically mandatory through clickers but she makes the time fly by.
Great teacher who really cares about the students. Class is very difficult if you've never taken biology.
Dr. Lackey is a great person and really cares about her students. She read directly from the powerpoint. Homework is easy but tests are very difficult.
Lackey relates to us and the real world a lot in her lectures which is helpful. It is a very hard class and requires lots of studying, and tests are hard. no reviews. clicker quizzes everyday so come to class but usually drops some at the end. can't just study last minute. Lots of material on test I was overwhelmed.
I loved Dr. Lackey! She is a fantastic prof who understands that biology is difficult, and makes her lectures easy to understand. Class is very efficient and organized, and tests are basically from the power points. Also super personable, and eager to help you if you put the work into her class. 10/10 class.
My favorite teacher so far. She is almost like a mom to her students and explains things very well.
Shes a great professor who makes it easy to learn.
This class was absolutely horrible. Studying for her tests were impossible, I would study weeks on end for her tests and I still would fail. I recommend another biology teacher.
If you pay attention and put in the work you will do well in this class. Dr. Lackey teaches pretty much directly from slides, but the way she explains things makes the information easier to understand and more enjoyable.
The most intimidating teacher I've ever had. She definitely has favorites students, which is understandable with such big classes, but it kind of sucks when she gives other people the opportunity to take a test late but not you just because you didn't suck up. CRAZY hard class!! Made me change my major lol! Go to class, use your clicker, and pray!!
She is overall really a great teacher but her tests were impossible no matter how hard you study
Dr. Lackey is a great professor. While her tests were a bit difficult, studying the learning goals at the end of powerpoints made them very doable. She makes class interesting and has all the tools to help you pass available. From someone who never had to study in highschool, prepare to put in the work. If you study and attend lecture, youll pass.
She makes her lectures bearable to sit through and the tests are really easy. Homework is always on quizlet. Attendance is mandatory because she gives clicker quizzes. Some of the clicker questions are on the exams.
All of her lectures come from powerpoints she has posted, but she adds details in class. There are mandatory clicker questions in class, so attendance is required. She tries her best to make sure everyone knows the material and it really seems like she cares!
She is literally one of the best professors that Ive ever had! She grades fairly and has a personality that made class very enjoyable! I wish I had her for all of my biology courses! She is 100% a southern momma and will work with you if you need help!
I went to her office hours before the first exam and she gave me a rough guideline of what I should study to make sure I made a great grade. I made a 96 on that test. She is so caring and will help you as much as she can to get you an A as long as you seek her out first. One of the most compassionate professors Ive met.
This class is difficult. I came into UA with only my honors 9th grade biology knowledge and it was rough for me. The tests are really hard and the powerpoints are very information packed. I never made higher than a 71 on a test and spent days studying. That being said, she is very helpful when you go to her office hours and she is super caring.
The best professor I have had up to this point. She is more than willing to work with you, but its up to you to put in the effort. I only took the required biology course my freshman year of high school. It was not Honors or AP, and I still managed to make an A in this course. 10/10 would recommend
She's a nice lady, but she REALLY makes you work for an A. She's the only biology teacher that wouldn't give any extra credit and RARELY gives points back on tests for bad questions. Attend class because she does roughly 5 clicker questions a day for credit. Try to take another teacher like Hodges, if you can't just be prepared to work
This class was very difficult for me, but if it were not for her I would not have made it. She is so sweet and truly wants her students to succeed. I went to her office hours multiple times and she had no problem breaking it down for mw to understand. Going to her office hours helped my grade tremendously so do not hesitate to reach out to her!
Amazing prof! Can seem intimidating but really nice if you seek help outside of class. Keep up on lectures and study for tests, you will be fine. Use the resources she mentions to help study!!
Professor Lackey is an amazing Biology professor. She exudes southern tough love and can seem intense at first but she honestly cares so much about her students success. The tests come directly from the power points, and she will give test question hints in class. As long as you study the power points and go to class, an A in the class is easy.
Lackey is a great teacher for BSC 114. It is a tough course because it is a lot of information that is covered, but she is a great teacher and cares about her students. You have to go to class though because she gives clicker quizzes which count for like 10-15% of your grade.
lackey is awesome!! she is so nice and really cares for her students. if you know the slides (that she posts) you will get As on the test. no book needed. if you go to office hours she will basically tell you what is on the test. she is amazingggg
All you had to do is type papers and do to make sure they were detail
Lackey is a great person and cares about her students, but she is one of the hardest bio teachers on campus. Her test are very hard and if you want to make an A you have to study weeks in advanced. This semester her class was all over zoom and she posted the lecture to watch on your own time and just answered questions on the zoom.
Kim is your classic southern woman. She is a sweet lady do not get me wrong. However, her lectures are like an hour and a half long. During actual class time all she does is answer questions. Also, if you have a quiz in this class be prepared because they are on sundays. She isnt the worst but she is definitely not the best.
This professor is a large part of the reason I left STEM. Unkind and unhelpful, went to her for office hours after she told us we should, and she refused to help me. My grade dropped in the class because I honestly just gave up after that. The homework and tests are awful so be ready. She has incorrect test questions all the time and doesn't fix
TEST ARE VERY HARD!!!!!!She is a great professor who actually responds to her emails, has office hours, and have somewhat long lectures from time to time. I personally did not read the textbook a lot, I went mostly off of her lectures. During class she only wants you to ask questions and do not really go over the material.
Dr. Lackey is amazing! I had never taken any sort of college level biology class before and her lectures were clear and made sense. She was always available to help through office hours or email and responded very quickly. Exams required you to study a bit, but they were certainly on the easier side. Most highly recommended prof for BSC 114
Basically you're going to teach yourself everything in this class, lectures are just her answering questions and if you're not ready with questions she gets short and says things like "No questions? Ok I guess we can have the test this Friday." There's lots of homework/hard tests so if you want an A, get ready to spend all your free time studying.
I really enjoyed my time with Professor Lackey this semester. Such a sweet southern lady! I had trouble with my internet when I was taking the final and she was really patient and understanding. In my opinion the tests weren't too difficult, but I also am a bio major. Just watch the lectures and review the learning goals and you'll be fine!
She was clear from day one what her expectations were for the class and outlined all the due dates for the semester the first week. Attendance was not required, but class really helps you understand the material and be prepared for the tests. Lots of homework, but not very difficult. Always willing to help. You get out of it what you put into it.
You have to work, but if you try you will do fine. She is always available outside of class and very helpful! Take her for BSC 114!!
Dr. Lackey is awesome! I had some family emergencies throughout the semester and she was super caring and flexible with me. She added lots of bonus for our class and just really seemed to care about her students which is truly what matters most.
Dr. Lackey is very caring, southern lady. She genuinely wants you to do well, but if you are struggling in this class, and do not seek her out you will fail. Her tests are very difficult and are harder than the homework/quizzes. She gives out a lot of homework which will help your grade, but also takes a while to complete. You have to put in effort
Dr. Lackey is amazing. There is a lot of info to fit in the semester, but she makes it fun to learn and easy to pay attention. She is very accessible outside of class, and very accommodating. There were four tests including the final, and she allowed a notecard for each. Pay attention and you should be fine. Would definitely take her again.
Dr. Lackey is the best. She definitely makes you work for your grade though. If you are having any trouble MAKE SURE you contact her. She will do everything she can to help you study for the tests better. The tests are mostly from quizzes and pretests that she posts before. Tests are hard if you don't study and read outside class.
Dr. Lackey is the best biology teacher you could ask for. Her tests are difficult, but you will do well if you attend her lectures and study the quizzes and practice tests she provides. You have to put in the work, but she gives you everything you need to do well. She cares about her students and makes her lectures fun and relatable.
Kim is such a sweet person but goodness I could not pass a test! I would study weeks ahead of time for hours and would even ask her for help! She would talk about something in a lecture but test on what she talked about but more in detail aka something we didn't learn. Get ready to struggle.
Lackey makes sure she teaches everything on her powerpoint slides during lecture. I 100% recommend going to class as she does say very helpful things for upcoming tests, especially the day of. In my opinion I thought the questions on her tests are worded tricky so I struggled at the start. Her tests are difficult but she is trying to prepare you.
I LOVED Dr. Lackey! She was an amazing professor! The content moves very quickly, but she teaches really everything you need to know. Study in advance to do well!
One of the easiest classes I've taken. I stopped going to lectures two weeks in and still got A's on the tests. Just make sure to take notes on the slides and then transfer an abbreviated version of those notes to a notecard in preparation for your test and you should be good. As an actual teacher she was average; she just read off her slides.
LOVE Dr. Lackey!! She is the best and made everything make sense. I always looked forward this class even though it wasn't necessary. She sometimes gives extra credit, so I would always go. She is so great and made me feel confident in my biology knowledge.
She is one of my favorite professors and is very thorough when explaining material and doesn't just read off slides. She is clear about what she expects and will answer any questions you have. A notecard is allowed on the tests. She has in class quizzes, but goes over them with the class. TAKE HER for BSC 114!!!
I loved Dr. Lackey! She's very caring and will stop to explain things if you're confused. Very accessible outside of class. She does Learning Catalytics during class sometimes which you get a zero on if you're not there for it. She gave lots of heads up about the types of test questions she uses. 50 questions, MC/fill in the blank always! 12/10!
Doctor Lackey gave very interesting lectures. You could tell that she cared about what she was teaching. She gives attendance quizzes every class so you need to go to class or your grade will suffer. She lets us have a front and back notecard on each test which was generous. If you take her class seriously then you will be fine. She is accessible.
Take this class seriously. Tests were tricky but having a notecard helped. Usually says "make sure u know this because it will be on your test" and has a pop quiz every class. She wasn't awful but not an easy A. She tried to elaborate on topics but tried to explain too far into detail meaning there wasn't time to fully cover all of the chapters.
I loved professor Lackey! Bio is a lot of vocab and information, but she made the lectures fun and knows exactly how to teach college kids. She takes her time when explaining hard concepts and wants you to succeed! Homework and quizzes are worth as much as the exams but the quizzes have unlimited attempts and boost your grade a lot!
TAKE HER!!! She is AMAZING and knows how to teach college students- sweetest person ever. Use your quizzes to create your Notecard (you get a notecard on every test). No pop quizzes, final exam is not cumulative. She is such a great prof and will help you get an A. The class is not that hard and she will give you ways to remember the content.
She was absolutely amazing! If you go to class you will pass the class. Her lectures made the material easy to understand and offered multiple tools to help study for exams. She was accessible outside of class to discuss grades and ways to improve. I would 100% have this professor again.
Great at giving comprehensive examples! Allow cheat cards during exams, has links to short animated science video before class, assigned 2 16 question homework assignments for each chapter. I slacked off towards the end of the semester, but if you watch videos, skim the presentation before class, GO TO CLASS, and do the hwk you'll do fine.
Dr. Lackey is one of the best teachers I've had at UA. Her lectures are long but very informative, and if you attend class, you won't need much outside study time. She allows a notecard on exams, offers extra credit for SI sessions, and gives helpful practice quizzes. She's kind, quick to reply, and genuinely cares about her students' success.
Dr. Lackey is a wonderful professor, she is very kind and more than willing to help you outside of class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but GO TO CLASS the content is so much easier to learn when you're there, and she often gives hints regarding test questions. The homework and quizzes are great to study and review before exams.
Attendance not mandatory - she uploads her lectures. Allows index card on exams. Basically just reads powerpoint but if you go to class she says when things are important for the exam. Overall good prof, would take her again.
Dr. Lackey is an amazing professor, highly recommend her if you have the ability to fit her in your schedule. She is absolutely amazing and creates her own examples to help you understand the content. She is very accessible after class and super willing to help with anything.
Best teacher I had all semester. Exams are exactly what she says and easy. You get a notecard front and back on every test so utilize it!! Would 100% take her again.
Dr. Lackey is incredible! Her lectures are long but make the material easy to understand. If you don't go, I recommend watching the recordings because she does give comprehensive examples and hints about what will be on exams. She's really good about providing thorough practice quizzes and tons of study resources. Would 100% take her again.
Very caring professor. She wants to make sure you understand the material, so don't be afraid to ask or email questions. She allows an index card front to back for exams, which are 50mcqs online. Extra credit is given on exams and by attending tutoring. It's better to attend lectures as she states what will be important/present on the exam.
Dr. Lackey is very sweet and wants you to do well. Homeworks (~2/week) and quizzes (~4/exam, similar questions on exams) are multiple choice. Dr. Lackey's exams are also multiple choice, and she includes a few extra credit questions on there. You also get 1 notecard/exam to help ease you into college bio. If you attend her lectures, you'll be fine.
