if you have to take stat, take it with her. she is very good, does examples during class. she gives reviews before the tests and you can have a formula sheet. she goes a little fast but explains things, i bought the book but hardly used it. easy A if you understand it. it's not a hard class just pay attention and go to class!

Gives about 12 quizzes, 10 count for a grade. Reviews the class before. Allows you to have a full sheet front and back with formulas and notes on it, but no examples. Her notes are very detailed and does many examples in class. She's so nice and helpful.

She is such a good professor!!! Her notes are super clear and she tells you exactly what you need to know. Quizzes are easy and half of them are take home. The tests are fairly easy too just study your notes and quizzes, attend class b/c you'll need her notes for sure. She's really great at teaching the material.

she is so young and yet such a great teacher.i believe this was her first year teaching and she has done an astounding job. if you have any trouble she is always willing to help. attending class is a must. only 2 tests and 1 final, none of which are cumulative. i would recommend her to anyone taking stats!!

Go to every class and take the notes. If you do, theres no possible way you can fail. Miss one day and you'll be lost for a while unless u know the material already. And she does go over things pretty fast. Dont need to buy the book as she goes over everything in her lecture. Beautiful young teacher so guys, guaranteed you're gonna pay attention.

She's an INCREDIBLE professor. Her class and the way she teaches makes the material easy to understand. She takes notes during class, so everybody just follows and asks questions when they need clarification. ATTENDANCE IS RECOMMENDED, but she doesn't require it. Take her class, she's knowledgeable, young, spirited, and very easy to understand.

She is a great professor, explains everything really well and is willing to answer any questions you may have. There's no need to buy the textbook, I didn't and I made an A in her class. The rumors are true, she really is one sexy woman.

Massaro is a great teacher. She writes really fast and it gets a little annoying because you are always trying to catch up. But it pays off because you can use your notes for the quizes. Great teacher! Explains things clearly & does not move on if someone has questions (if you don't stop her, it's not her fault that she continues). Gives TONS of ex. credit which is the only reason I'm making an A. My exam scores: 79, 81 and 85 and i'm making an A. do the projects and stay for quizzes, she almost always tacks on extra credit

She goes through how to do things step by step. Take notes, and go to class for the quizzes she gives out and you'll make an A. She also let's you have formula sheets for the tests so there's really no excuse not to get an A. Really nice and young so she's energetic as well. Recommend her class if you've never taken statistics before.

Awesome prof. Gives lots of notes and tests/quizzes are just like the examples from the notes. She's also really helpful if you go to her office hours.

This class is almost too easy. Gives lots of extra credit. Has an outline for notes for every chapter. Just fill in the blanks. Two group projects to turn in but they're so easy, that they're hardly worth mentioning. Attendance is mandatory because he gives in-class assignments at the end of class. Easy A

Love her. I think one of my favorite teachers. I had to work to get an A but she is so cool with the extra credit and is so awesome teaching. I wish she would teach the whole series of stats.

Loved stats with prof massaro! One of my easiest classes last semester! Go to class, take the notes. Hell she writes them out for you, you dont even have to listen really. Just copy down everything she writes. She gives you the formulas and a bunch of extra credit! It doesn't hurt that shes pretty hot either. ;)

Massaro is VERY clear on her expectations for the class. Important to go to class. A few group projects. Do the extra credit and study for the tests, it will help! Is helpful, but make sure your question is clearly stated. Would take her again for another math class in a heart beat!

Massaro is an excellent professor! if you don't get a good grade it's because you didn't try! never missed class because it was so informative (She lectures have NO idea what Stats is. at all). She writes out all her lectures and does tons of practice problems. Open note quizzes, 2 test and a final and a few hw assigns. TAKE HER!!!

Just attend class and copy down her notes. Minimal if any book use. She's very attractive so you'll show up, I know you will ;) . She allows note cards on tests and notes on quizzes. The only down side is she goes over excel for homework very briefly, requiring you to teach yourself a little. Take her and the stats gods will smile upon you

This teacher/class is not that hard at all, you can use notes on quizzes and flashcard on test. I took this in the summer and got an A by doing well on quizzes and by doing the extra credit. Attendence is part of your grade, thats the only catch.

Professor Massaro is a good professor. She was crystal clear. Go to lectures and write down what she writes down and the class will be a breeze. Reading the book is not required.

Take her for biostats, no matter what you have to do to your schedule. Anderson is tough, A's aren't easy in his class. Her class is a breeze. She does lots of examples and uses them on her tests. She tries to keep the subject as simple as possible. If math isn't your subject, you want her to teach it to you so you aren't struggling all semester.

Massaro teaches a dummy down version of stats. If you are not good at math, making an A is very possible. Attendance, though not mandatory, is necessary to do well. By doing her lecture problems several times before quizzes and tests, I made over 100 in the class. Be aware of how she words questions, she likes to be tricky sometimes.

Lectures are very easy to understand. She is very interested in teaching the class.

The only reason I got a bad grade was because she messed it up and never changed it...Pretty simple math class. Must go to every class in order to keep from being behind. Not easy to catch up on! I recommend her if your a morning person

shes a really great professor An 'A' is very much achievable She gives plenty of extra credit, going to class is essential to getting a good grade, the concepts are somewhat hard to grasp on your own especially towards the last month of the semester. I received an A on all tests except the final worth 200 points and ended up with a B :(

Massaro is a great professor!! There were 3 exams and one project. Go to class, take notes, do the homework, study for the test and you've got an A! Simple as that! I've never considered myself a math person but I really enjoyed this class because she did a great job of explaining things so that they made sense.

She does a lot of examples to help you understand the topic & explains how its applicable to real life. Easy to comprehend, quizzes are open note, need the book for practice problems. Takes attendance sporadically. Study for her tests by redoing the example and practice problems. Gives guided notes. I'd recommend her!

I highly recommend Ms. Massaro for Basic Statistics. She is very crystal clear when it comes to lecture, and she allows students to work problems during class with her help. A perfect 10 out of 10.

Ms. Massaro is a great teacher. For someone like me, that is not a natural at math, she is so helpful. Always there for office hours and then some. She explains very well! Our text kind of sucked this semester, and she went above and beyond to help us and get around the poor text explanations.

She was a great teacher to have. This was a prerequisite course for my major that I'll never use, but she made the material very easy to learn. She would stay behind to assist or was willing to schedule a time to meet since she didn't hold true office hours. It didn't hurt that she's very easy on the eyes too with a personality.

Ms. Massaro is a very nice professor. She explains things in detail and lets you use your notes on quizzes. There are a lot of quizzes, but they help you review for the test. The only catch, her tests are a tad confusing. I got A's on most of the quizzes, but C's on the tests due to the fact that sometimes her questions are not clear.

Easy if you are the type of person the never misses a class. She does lots of in class examples and takes lots of quizzes. Go see her if you're confused on a topic.

I despise math but stats 1 was not as bad as I expected. 9 quizzes but you can use your notes, 2 easy group projects and she will give extra credit randomly so attendance can def help you. Tests were a little harder for me but I still made a B with only effort put in for the final. Nice prof, would recommend her.

Great class to take. One of the easier stats profs to take. Info was clear and straight forward. No reason not to make an A.

If you know basic arithmetic and understand basic probability, and you can read questions carefully (the way she teaches you in her notes to read them), you're set to get an A. She gives a formula sheet on her tests, and her quizzes are open note. The 5 homework grades each take 20 mins. The hardest part is calculating linear regression by hand.

Very good looking professor. During the lectures she explains everything very clearly and answers all questions anyone may have. I never opened my textbook and I got an 'A' in the class. She was the best professor I've had and she would be the first I'd recommend for stats 1. Too bad she doesn't teach stats 2.

Definitely recommend her! You get to use notes on every quiz and an index card on every test. She is very thorough, and lets you know exactly what you need to know for the test. You MUST go to class though and show that you're making an effort and you should be able to do well.

As others have stated, she can definitely be rude and condescending at times. However, all the quizzes were open notes & she allowed "cheat sheets" on all exams! She gave ample extra credit throughout the semester. She references the textbook, but you could get away with not buying it. As long as you study, you can definitely pass without question.

Ms. Massaro is a great teacher. Go to class, take down all her notes (she does not post them on BB). Go over the examples the night before quizzes, she always quizzes over one of the examples. Exams are tough but not impossible, she allows a 3x5 formula/example card. I wish she was teaching MS3043. I recommend her!

Massaro was such a good stats professor! She lectures at a steady pace, allows notes for quizzes and cheat sheets on exams, so it's almost impossible not to pass this class. She also gave multiple opportunities for extra credit. Never went to her office hours so can't say much on that. Take Massaro for basic stats!! Textbook NOT needed

You only need the book for 3 assignment. other than that, you don't really need it. if you can, share a book with someone. She teaches and writes like a high school teacher. It is very clear. She is a bit rude sometimes. Extra credits are given. halloween and randomly. maybe 18 pts of EC.

She explains stuff like she is explaining it to high schoolers. She is very clear. The only reason you would ever fall behind is if you miss class. The classes build on each other so you have to go everyday. You will do fine in the class if you go everyday and pay attention!

She's a very good teacher. Lets you use a flash card with notes for tests. Highly recommend her!

Not an easy course but isn't the hardest either. She allows equation cards on exams. Gives extra credit and the excel presentation boosts your grade. You MUST be very good with excel. Show up to class and take very detailed notes on everything. Textbook is optional but i recommend it for extra practices for the third exam

She's a great professor who explains the material very clearly. She allows formula sheets to be used on tests and open notes for quizzes. There is a lot of EC opportunities. The book is used for EC and review problems. She was helpful in class and encourages group work in solving problems. Definitely take her if you can! Very attractive too!

Her lessons are very straightforward and easy to understand. You need the textbook to do practice problems because you need to study for the tests. They're not really all that difficult if you study or at least know what you're doing. You also get a formula so you don't have to memorize much.

For an easy class, it was made unnecessarily hard, specifically on the exams. The wording on the exams on very tricky, so I would suggest to read VERY carefully. There is about 17 extra credit points that you can add to you're overall point total. She doesn't explain concepts well if you ask her in person, so I would suggest that you ask the TA.

For her class you must show up everyday. I suggest you write really good notes that's what I basically used to study. She can sometimes be a little rude, but she will help you. DO all the extra credit you can she doesn't give out too many. She lets you use your notes on quizzes. She lets you have a notecard for the test USE IT.

Professor Massaro goes over everything you need to know to pass her class in her lectures. Before quizzes she will tell you what it is about, she does the same for tests. Honestly just pay attention, take notes, do one example problem, and you will be fine.

I enjoyed her class, she made it so easy to understand and the If your struggling then go to the SI sessions to do examples. If students don't do well in the course it's because they weren't paying enough attention andor missed class. And if you miss class you get the notes from someone else and and she'll go over them with you.

Amazing lecturer, she is straightforward in conveying the information about Basic Statistics. The way to get an A in the class, is to understand the concepts on why are you doing the calculations, rather than getting the numerical answer. Also gives a lot of extra credit, +10 points.

She's very clear about what you need to do to get an A. She also organizes and explains topics very well. If you simply show up to every class and pay attention, you will get an A, no problem. Do take this teacher if you are not good at math or logic. Don't take this teacher if you are going to be using a lot of statistics in your future.

I can see what the students say about her attitude, I do believe she feels lots of superiority. If you aren't good at math take her. It's easy if you understand why you're doing what you're doing, she goes step by step. To pass test DO PRACTICE PROBLEMS! That's the only way to be successful. Don't bother asking her for help though. No extra credit

Massaro is a pretty decent professor. She is helpful and her lectures are not hard to understand. She teaches well but you will have to practice on your own time to really understand the material. There will be a group project you will have to do towards the end of the semester but its not that difficult. Tests are a little challenging though.

Professor Massaro is THE person to take for Basic Stats. Her lectures are to the point and easily understandable. Go to class because she does random participation activities at the end of lectures. Practicing problems from the book is a must. There's 3 exams and a project/presentation near the end of the semester. No final exam.

This class is basically writing what you see in one browser into a MATLAB worksheet. The exercises start out easy enough but only get harder and she tends to explain it less. Not much teaching goes on from the professor, mainly following a browser and asking for help if needed. Lots of in class work and out of class work. Not a difficult class, tho

She's an average teacher, but this is understandable since I was in her first class that was this large. She uses iClicker questions for attendance daily, so attendance is mandatory for a good grade. Usually assigns homework through Blackboard once a week. Tests are about 25 questions, so you can only miss a couple if you want an A. Study hard!

she gives out HWPs which are group projects of 2 and will always want you to work with someone new. i hated that. labs arent hard but are back to back. you can never have a break. does not require to turn in all lessons but will expect you to know the material so do them either way.

If you come to class everyday, do your hw, and rework the class problems you should be good. Just don't expect to be able to pass the class with just showing up.

She does reef and clicker attendance everyday so you have to go to class to do attendance, but if you go to class and pay attention then you will never need to study. She makes tests form in class notes.

Professor Massaro was an amazing professor. I liked her teaching method. We used Reef Polling and Iclicker 2 for attendance. She is very passionate about what she lectures and is very clear on what she teaches. She is great. You must attend class to pass the class!

This was my first stats class and I was terrified. I bombed the first exam but as we continued I progressed. You have to attend class if you want to understand anything. She is a great teacher and she's well at it. Attendance is mandatory because she does iclicker questions that will give you extra points.

Professor Massaro is the one to take for basic stats! Her lectures are easy to follow and exams aren't too bad, if you study. Homework is fair. Definitely study her attendance questions before exams, they'll help. Those that said she doesn't explain things well, probably skipped class everyday. To do well in this class you should show up. Missing a day is missing a lot. Study the clicker questions online for tests and you will do well.

Professor Massaro is a good choice. She kind of treats students like kindergarteners but that can be a good thing because ideas are totally reinforced wether they need to be or not. Attending lectures is essential for success. Test are multiple choice. There is one HW and one quiz a week. Three tests total.

This prof is pretty good at teaching stats if you get stats. If statistics is not your thing then this prof could be a problem for you. She teaches under the assumption that you get the basics and her lectures are not very in depth.

I had never taken a stats class before and this turned out to be my favorite class in college so far. Kimberly is such an amazing professor and she made everything so easy to understand. My biggest piece of advice is to go to class and do the iclicker questions. It's not only used for attendance but she uses questions that you'll see on the test.

Study the iclicker questions for tests and you should get an A. You'll need the textbook for the weekly homeworks and in class problems. I loved this class! Professor Massaro was amazing.

She's super nice and is very good at explaining. Should be an easy class, if you go to class and do the examples she provides. Assignments are easy & given a week to do, but I wouldn't recommend doing it the last minute. Hoping to take her for STATS II !

Good teacher but moves a little fast for a intro course, recommend over any other stats teachers she gives ex's and your attendance is for a grade which can really help at the end of semesters, if you don't go youll miss all or majority of the chapters she covers. 3 tests and are 25 multiple choice, final is optional to replace lowest test grade

Prof Massaro is great. Her lectures are well planned and easy to understand. There is not an abundance of homework assignments, and the tests are multiple choice. The homework does come from the book, but I suggest finding one and taking a picture of the problem, not buying your own.

Professor Massaro is very well at explaining things clearly. She doesn't assign a lot of homework. I highly recommend taking her. She doesn't require you to memorize formulas and her tests are multiple choices. The only thing is that she goes over a lot of material during one class so it can get overwhelming at times.

Prof. Massaro is an excellent lecturer. I took Applied Statistics and she did a great job explaining everything. There are three tests, 8-10 homework assignments, and in class attendance grades. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.

Prof. Massaro def the way to go for your first stats class. Everything is clearly explained and set out for you. You have to work for your grade though.

I thought I would never be able to pass statistics, but Professor Massaro's class was different. She must've taught high school before because she explained every concept very clearly. I went from failing my first stats class to getting an A in hers. She is an absolute miracle worker, as long as you attend class regularly, you're good to go!

Do the homework!! It's weighted 20% in your final grade. If you do all the HW and don't miss class too much you should get an easy A. Attendance is only worth 5% so it's not *actually* mandatory. But you'll learn much more easily from her than the textbook so show up anyway. Great lectures. My only complaint is her test reviews are meh.

Find the T & F answers to the homework online. She explains things really simply, and if you still don't get it, go to SI. She drops a test grade if you take the final, but I didn't have to because I went to SI and got an A in the class. TAKE NOTES, or you won't survive. GO TO SI SESSIONS. She's a great teacher.

Professor Massaro demonstrates preparation, is highly knowledgeable, comes in with a good attitude, and is available for office hours or emails instantly. She provides resources online and her presentations are critical. The exams are challenging, but the projects aren't too demanding. Take her class for the summer, it's a good pace.

It was a 5-week summer class & one of the easiest I've ever taken. Her lectures and notes are very clear and concise but you have to pay attention in class. Do the examples in class and follow along. They're very similar to the HW and it prepares you well for the test. She gives you a half page cheat sheet for the test & drops lowest HW grade.

Third semester with this professor. She gives it to you straight and is overall easy to follow. You must show up to class for notes as she doesn't post them online, but no attendance grade is taken. If you just take the notes in class you will be fine.

Massaro is pretty clear about the material and teaches it step by step so you fully understand. She takes attendance every class on an iClicker by having you answer questions. Homework is online. My only issue with this class was that the work in class was way easier than the tests, so it was a little tough to be prepared for the test.

Class is overall easy if you apply your self and go to class. She goes over all the information at a manageable pace and has many in class examples. There are 10 total homeworks on black board that you get two attempts on and four days to do. The final is optional and attendance is taken on the iClicker. Shes super sweet and always willing to help.

I wouldn't advise skipping class because she does move through material quickly. However, she is the only professor ive had that can explain stats in a way that makes sense. Her notes are very helpful to look back on and learn from! Highly recommend

Professor Massaro is a solid choice for Stats 2. She uses an iClicker for extra credit points and quizzes. She explains everything well, but it is a tough class. Make sure you take notes and understand what is going on, because the homework is hard and the tests aren't easy either.

Massarro is a great teacher :) DO not miss class because you will not know what is going on . Stats is hard but Massarro teaches it well, and one of the best explainors out there :) Only 3 tests and an optional final so try to pass the first three exams!

Professor Massaro is a great professor. She takes the time to make sure to explain all the material clearly. Her statistics class is difficult, but she gives you many resources, and study tips to help you out. She makes sure you are prepared, and her iClicker questions are a big help to see if you are understanding the topic or not.

Pretty good, she's nice and helpful. I took the class as a five week summer course, so I thought it would be too fast for me to keep up, but the class still seemed pretty slow. The only grades were five exams, once a week.

Overall great teacher. Taught hard concepts well. She goes too fast sometimes, so make sure you're taking notes. Go to SI, if it's available. This is a pretty tough class, and we had 300 students in our class so that wasn't great. Make sure to go to lectures, or you'll be lost. They no longer offer textbook, so find file online. Doesn't curve exams

Professor Massaro is really one of the best professors I've had at UTSA. Her class is on the difficult side, but her lectures are amazing and if you pay attention in class she makes sure you're prepared for the tests and quizzes. Does an example after each topic in class, and always happy to answer questions/great in office hours. Would recommend.

I took her Spring 2018. She's a great professor. Make sure you go to her office hours, take thorough notes in class, go to SI sessions and do all of the "suggested" problems. You have to come to class because she does iClicker points that add on to your grade. She also does not curve. 3 exams + a final (not mandatory).

This class was intense. It consists of 6 homeworks, 6 quizzes, and 4 exams. She provides extra credit throughout the semester so make sure you attend class. The 20pts extra credit is what bumped me from a B to an A. She has very clear notes and is willing to answer any questions.

Hardest class I've ever taken! I never spent so much time on homework, there was homework due every Thursday and weekly exams throughout the summer semester. I did well on the homework, projects and extra credit but I did terribly on the exams. Lectures are very organized and there are plenty of examples which I appreciated. Points system is fair.

She is very clear on expectations and you will get the grade you deserve. Show up to class for iclicker points, go to office hours, SI, TA, whatever it takes. Math is not easy for me, but I utilized all given support and passed. Cengage homework platform was more complicated than tests; study lecture problems and test reviews.

One of the few professors that actually teaches you. She lectures and goes over everything in the exam and her reviews for exams are past exams and they are the exact same. Optional final, 3 exams and multiple homework. Overall, if you go to her class and take good notes go over notes and look at practice exam you will pass.

massaro is a really great professor for business stats, especially after having taken the nightmare that is sonmez. i literally never went to class and got a high A because everything is available online. you'll have homework and/or a lab due every week and four exams with an optional final, and you're able to use notes and excel on everything.

Great professor with clear lectures and expectations. If you come to class and *actually* pay attention to what she says your life will be a lot easier. Attendance is required and can help your final grade, homework is reasonable, and tests are straight forward.

Prof. Massaro gives clear lectures. As someone not particularly talented in stats I did well. Massaro gives plenty of chances to gain a ton of points as long as you keep up with the homework and labs. She offered us a makeup exam and drops the lowest grades for exams and homeworks as long as you complete them all. Highly recommended!

This is the easiest math class I have ever taken. I struggled in stats 1 and breezed through this one (stats 2). Literally just do the homework, take notes on the hw, and the exams ARE the homework. There is absolutely no reason to struggle in this class. Prof posts 2-5min videos explaining everything you need to know visually.

I took this class online so did not have to go through a "transition period" due to the pandemic. The grading criteria is straight-forward and the homework is not super difficult. Prof. Massaro is available through e-mail and is always there to help with a problem you might have. She also uploaded videos for us to better understand the content.

Professor Massaro is very professional, she is great at breaking down each step you need to do for the problems. No extra credit. She dropped the lowest test grade, drops some of the lowest homework and projects (DO IT). Highly recommend using the TA they are VERY helpful. You'll need to study and understand the material, will be able to get A or B

in person lectures were great and I was on track to getting a high B before the pandemic. however once the online transition began everything became much more difficult because stats is one of those subjects thats hard to teach yourself. she was awesome in person, but if youre someone who struggles learning online, I do not recommend.

Professor Massaro is very professional and knows her material. In-person, she explains the material very well. Its just a lot to remember when exams come around, so be sure to review the material. She does require iClicker for attendance and uses Cengage for homework and projects. Overall good experience.

Took Massaro for Stats 2, Summer 5 week online course. I was worried since stats is difficult for me as is, but the professor made it so simple and it did not feel overwhelming. 1 quiz a week, only 5 questions. 2/3 exams, 5-7 questions. Her videos were very helpful and made it easy to understand.

Professor Massaro is the best Stats II professor you could get! I am taking her course online, and the videos she posts are incredible, short 2 - 5 minute videos that explain in detail how to do the topics by hand or through Excel. The homework, projects, and exams are very easy to pass if you take the time to watch/review the videos she posts.

I loved taking this class. I wish I could take her for the other Statistics I need but it appears she doesn't teach them. Readings weren't hard, videos/lectures were short and sweet and to the point. I used the built-in "Ask your teacher" function in WebAssign and she responded fairly quickly. She offered HW extensions which helped me a lot.

Professor Massaro is a great teacher and her lectures included everything needed to learn. There are 10 HW modules and 5 exams every 2-3 weeks so we're provided with a decent amount of time to learn the material. She also provides extensions on hw which is so helpful and is accessible during her office hours too.

Stats II, Prof Massaro was easily one of my favorite profs in my entire college career. She puts up videos in every module that PERFECTLY explain how to do it in excel. She puts up a weekly powerpoint AND module study guide! She gives you every opportunity to do well. Only opened my book once or twice to find a formula or something. Made stats easy

There was about 25 homeworks, 4 tests, and 6 projects. With that being said the class wasn't really that hard. She shows you how to do everything on excel you just have to pay attention to the steps, do the homework, and study. I would definitely take her again. The final also replaces the lowest test grade.

Took her for Spring 2020. There was a lot of hw, but you get a week to do it. The exams are tough if you don't know how to use excel/ti 84. There's videos on how to though! Offers 2 extentions for the hw and extra credit. Overall, good teacher. Don't really need to read the textbook, just watch the lectures and videos and take notes.

Professor Massaro is very nice, and she does make herself available to help outside of class. My only complaint about this class is her videos. I feel like they honestly never really helped me all that much because they were more definition-based than example-based. The SI is what really saved me in this class. She's good, but dont expect an easy A

Absolutely loved Professor Massaro! I'm honestly not the greatest at math but she made everything very clear and easy to understand. The homework and exams are pretty easy as well as long as you listen to the lectures and take notes. She also provides extra credit and an optional final exam to replace your lowest exam grade. Definitely recommend!!

took her course for online asynchronous stats over the summer. It was a very easy class and she provided amazing bite-size modules with videos that were simple to follow along with.

Took this course online over the summer and it was good. Not an extremely hard course, but she does make you work for your grade. Prof. was extremely nice and was there to help you, if needed. There was a lot of homework, and a test for every 2 units. Nonetheless, she does offer extra credit, which helps a lot!

Professor Massaro is pretty straightforward with the material and everything is easily done with Excel. I personally recommend taking notes on a laptop because you can easily keep up with the lecture and use the doc later for tests and projects. Dont miss class or youll have to read a lot, her lectures summarize all the important parts needed.

This class was probably one of the most helpful classes I have ever taken. She is very straight forward with her lectures & gives good examples on what will be on the homework & tests. Attendance is not taken for a grade but if you miss class you will miss a good chunk of the lesson &will have to read the chapter to catch up. Overall very helpful!

For a stats class, I really enjoyed it this past semester. Professor Massaro gives you everything you need in her videos which also count as attendance points. Homework and exams are online through cengage/WebAssign. Plenty of outside resources if you don't understand but she is always willing to help out and answer questions. Don't fall behind tho

While her class is hard, she teaches everything so well! she truly makes sure every student is prepared for the exams!

Best Professor for Stats, all her grading comes from HW, tests, and Projects(not heavy load) She goes over every formula and gives examples for what she teaches. the HW does not take long, the projects are okay and tests are easy because of the resources she provides and how she teaches. textbook is online and homework is also online on Webassign.

I took her class online but she is great. I will admit I had some trouble at first and this class is somewhat difficult. She gives a lot of extra credit and drops the lowest project grade.

The class was somewhat difficult, but only because sometimes the questions on the assignments were not in the notes videos. The teacher is great, and will sometimes help if you ask, but most of the time will point you towards the notes, which makes it hard. Just watch the videos and take the notes and you can figure it out.

Professor Massaro is such a great teacher! She is incredibly versed in statistics and really knows her stuff. I took this class over the summer so the material was fast-paced and compacted, but I anticipate her fall/spring semester classes are even better. Her lectures and notes are very useful for the test as well. Highly recommend!

I took this class during the 5 week summer semester and I enjoyed it. Math isn't one of my strengths, but her course was doable. Attendance is mandatory since it's taken as a grade, and lectures/homework can be very lengthy. Test aren't difficult, as long as you pay attention to lecture material & homework. I would take her class again.

The professor offers LOTS of extra credit and the homework is on WebAssign, which gives you 3 attempts per question (not proctored). Attendance is mandatory (watch videos and answer questions). The homework was harder than the exams, making the exams easier. I ended up with more than the required number of points to earn an A+.

If you have to take stats take her!! I would not have passed if I didnt take professor Massaro. She is an amazing lecturer and as long as you go to class and pay attention you should do okay. Great professor and does a good job at providing multiple avenues of learning. good at explaining and expressing a real passion for the work. homework and tests can be tough but as long as you practice examples you should be fine.

I took her class online and she taught us through videos she submitted on the blackboard. as long as you watch the videos (you will receive an attendance credit that goes towards your grade) and complete the assignments you should pass. her class is not overwhelming usually 1-2 assignments every week.

She will teach you the bases of statistics and she will do it right, she uses playpost it and they really help you, the lectures aren't that long, and the test are through everything you will learn on the chapter so beware, she is always accessible through email and will always try an extra to help.

Even in an online course, professor Massaro was very accessible. Her lectures are clear and helpful. Her exams are somewhat difficult but doing the homework prepares you very well. She offers extra credit to make up missed HW points. Her final is optional and replaces your lowest test grade. She made it very easy to succeed in this class!

This class was great, and the professor made this year simpler than it had to be. Make sure to attend her class, or you will fall behind. There is no work overload; however, I advise you to be on top of your work if you struggle with math. The test reflects your online homework, so study the homework if you do not attend tutoring sessions.

AMAZING professor. Willing to meet and answer any questions you have. This class is HW HEAVY. Easily 8-10 hours+ a week on multiple homework assignments and projects. Don't take with multiple heavy workload classes. Make sure you know your Stats foundations before coming into this. Fast paced class with a kind and knowledgeable professor!

I absolutely despised this class, but the professor made it bearable. The main issue in it was that Cengage webassign is an awful program that makes things more difficult than they need to be. Her instructional videos were very clear however and fixed ambiguity caused by Cengage being terrible. Her syllabus was very clear and fair as well.

This professor is amazing for business stats 2. She explains information really well and the layout of assignments is really simple. Level of difficulty is a 3 mostly because the material can be hard to learn in only a few classes and you might have to take time to learn things by yourself. Overall, great class and professor.

Definitely take this teacher if you can. She is very helpful with students who are struggling with the content and will answer your questions quickly. The class isn't too hard, and students can easily get a good grade in the class.

3-4 homework assignments per week and 6 projects that are all pretty tedious and take hours to finish. Great professor, very knowledgeable, class is very organized and easy to navigate, videos explaining material are posted. She is quick to respond to any questions. Exams are exactly like the hw. Excel will be your best friend, keep organized notes

Consists of 2-3 HW each week (3 attempts), 6 Excel projects (drops 1), 4 exams (open-book/note), and optional final. Provides final review for extra credit. Uses Excel extensively. Provides notes and short videos to explain the material and how to use Excel. Cannot work ahead, only 1 day to take an exam, and the schedule is not always consistent.

Her lectures are short and simple. If you put in the work in her class you will get a good grade. I would take her again if I had the chance.

Her lecture slides are awesome and there is no need to read the textbook. You need to work a lot on your own but her grading is clear and designed to prevent students from failing. There is an easy extra credit assignment. Took me around 7-10 hours a week to study and complete all assignments.

Prof. Massaro was great, albeit it was a 5 wk summer course so naturally things were much harder. The slides and video examples for each module were typically enough for me to get by. I will say though, the timed exams each week were a struggle. As long as you study the examples in the hw you should be fine. If I could, I would take her again!

I took this class in Spring 2023. I remember this being my hardest class at the time, and i had to spend time reading textbook to stay on top of my work in addition to lecture. Timed online tests were ruthless - it's digitally graded so if you round wrong or slightly off it marks the question completely wrong, so know what you are doing.

this class started out easy then got really hard. she makes really good lecture vids and even makes vids to help with hw problems. shes very easy to reach and very willing to help. the textbook is free online and i never used it, i just watched her lectures. the only extra credit is completing the course evaluation at the end of the sem :,)

She tries her best to solve as many problems as possible and gives great lecture videos that are very helpful. She replies quickly through email and is always available during office hours.

This class felt tolerable even when I hated math. She has good lectures that go at a good pace, though sometimes it feels slow. She thoroughly goes through how to find the answers and where the numbers and equations come from. Attendance isn't mandatory but she doesn't post notes from lecture so you have to show up.

Her lectures are very clear and very informative. Gives step by step on how to do the problems and makes sure to go at a decent pace. Her exams are easy if you put enough info on your cheat sheet she allows, they're easier than the homeworks. Uses Cengage for homeworks and projects, but the projects are just reading tables. You can tell she cares.

Ignore the previous review. Professor Massaro could be lightheaded and that's her only excuse she would ever made lol. She is very helpful in succeeding in your career when it comes to bio stats. Most of my classmates seemed very lost to her lectures, homework, and exams most importantly. The TA is also helpful as well. It's all about the math!

GREAT PROFESSOR! I was so nervous going into stats because it is stats LOL, but Professor Massaro has a great teaching style and explained the concepts very well. There are HW assignments, projects, and 5 exams including the final but she drops the lowest exam. She offers a lot of extra credit on exams. Would recommend her!

I was nervous about Stats since math isn't my strongest suit, but her lectures were clear. She goes over the material and practice examples in class and offers LOTS of extra credit. Doing the homework is key, and attending SI sessions helped me understand the topics. Put in effort, use the resources, and it's manageable if you stay on top of it!!

Massaro is the best. You must go to lecture even though she doesn't take participation grades, the lectures are great and she provides guided notes. I am not great at math but I did not struggle a bit with this class because she ensures your understanding. There is a lot of homework, but it really grounds your understanding of the material.

If you are one of those people who prefers to see things worked out step by step in math then definitely take her. She makes things very easy to understand and clear. Tests are almost exactly like the practice exam problems (pretty much the same questions but with different numbers). Homework is helpful and you get 3 tries on each problem(per part)

Prof Massaro is a pretty good professor. She breaks down every single unit of our lectures so we're informed of what is needed. She lets us have a formula card for exams because she does not provide any formulas at all. She's doing the best she can with such a hard subject.

Her lectures are worth it. Stats is hard but she broke it down nicely and will answer questions. If you ask at the end of class then she'll let you take a pic of her notes. You get a week for homeworks and projects. You also get to use a notecard for the exams. 4 exams in total without the final. Exams are easier than homeworks. Would take again!

Asynchronous class, the lecture videos really help to clarify the subjects as well as the example videos provided. Exams are proctored. But there's a lot of extra credit opportunities. Relevant material if you're pursuing scientific research.

This professor is AMAZING. Absolutely take for her statistics. Her explanations are extremely detailed and she really knows how to teach.

I 100% recommend anyone needing to take STA1053 to take it with Prof. Massaro! Attendance is somewhat optional, but being in lecture and taking notes made everything make so much sense. Great professor, explained difficult concepts in easy to understand ways and gave plenty of reference examples for homework and tests.

LOVED this professor she made stats so easy to understand. The exams were very similar to the exam reviews she would assign. Homework was usually harder then the exams but manageable. Great communication! Answers within 24 hours. Deadline are very important try to stay on them! If you work and have a heavy schedule make sure you have time for this class. It's not too difficult just a little time consuming sometimes. Relating homework to notes was kind of difficult but pay attention to vocab it will help! There is extra credit.

Favorite professor I've ever had! Class is lecture-heavy and going is a must to grasp concepts but not mandatory. Gives tons of extra help (office hours, TA, SI, etc.) if you can't go though. She goes a little slow sometimes but its helpful. WebAssign for homework and exams, both fair and easy grading. Easiest A ever, 10/10 recommend taking her!

AMAZING professor! Clearly cares about her students, their grades, and their understanding of the course material. Offers a lot of help in multiple ways, really goes in depth and does a lot of repetition to help understanding. Even though attendance isn't mandatory, she is lecture heavy and does not post lecture slides/notes/videos.

So engaging! She does her best to ensure the class understands the topics covered in class. While attendance is not mandatory, you must go because lectures end up on exams.

Overall, she is a good professor. I was worried about her class going into it as I'm very bad at math. However, she provides an abundance of resources so use them! Take detailed notes and pay attention during lectures and you should be able to make it out this class with at least a B.

Exams are online Honorlock, but as long as you go to lectures and take notes you'll have a 100 because she gives crazy extra credit for doing evaluation surveys. Attendance isn't mandatory, but lecture slides can be confusing unless you attend the lectures. Three exams and no final. Lots of time to study and do well. 10000000000/10 please take her.

NEVER MISS A LECTURE, every lecture new materiel is covered and you need to take notes to succeed. The topics are also very simple and Professor Massaro explains them very well. For exams you are allowed a "cheat sheet" and extra credit is available throughout the semester. This class should be impossible to fail.
