Kim is very intelligent, but this is a HARD class. She jumps all around, doesn't cover the syallabus, and her timelines change all the time. Be prepared to read - alot, she assigned six books for this one class alone!

Ms. Pollock was incredibly biased and does not understand the difference between racism and predigious. Racism is a MORE specific form of predigious just like sexism is a more specific form. She over emphasizes race and can't get the blinders off to understand more complex issues with other mitigating factors. I highly do not recommend her.

All we did was one discussion post and three replies to other classmates weekly. and a writing essay that goes with the chapter. no good feedbacks, her grading replies are all copy and paste. all she focused was black & white race. if u need an A take her online.

Not an easy teacher!! She grades all of your work based on her OWN opinion and makes passive aggressive comments on your discussion posts and in the grade book. She doesn't grade off of what should be, but rather she liked it or not and if it fits her own views. So annoying!! I do not reccommend. Also I have literally never used the textbook once.

Advice for this class: Just don't bother expressing your own opinions. Just pretend like the teacher is always right because she grades on your opinions, not on your actual work. She also takes over a month to return assignments. Teacher and course material feels extremely biased, and she treats her opinions as facts. Just pretend for an easy A.
