Mrs. Mullane is real cool, she's down to earth and very lienant. Do the assignments and she is pretty good about your grade. Participation is her big thing, but I've heard so is any other prof in Eng 1A.

Great teacher(Some english teachers are pretty unbalanced and emotional so its hard to take their opinions seriously, but Quintana is a sharp cookie). Good atmosphere. I was a wad of cookie dough but now im carved out of wood.

This teacher was not so pleasant. She seems to be a feminist and had a general idea that men should be obligated to be feminist. I did not agree with her views and she knew this of me. She picked on me in all my writings and was very destructive in her criticism, so I just walked out one day during class.

really funny, only drops 1 quiz grade but no essays dropped. Strict on attendance. 8 total essays. 9 journals of at least 1 page. Does not replace final essay with lowest essay, she asks you to revise it and then averages the two. Definately no extra credit offered!!!!

She's a great teacher; she's helpful, funny, and she often mixes in interesting stories to her lectures. There really isn't any extra credit but as long as the work gets done there really isn't a need for any. She honestly makes it a fun class; I highly recommend it.

Shes very clear. She tells you exactly what/how she wants you to write your paper. Very outgoing and easy to get a long with. Goes out of her way to help you. HW is not very hard, just make sure you read whats assigned, you will do great on quizzes and tests. Very easy if you pay attention. Doest really give EC. Not 4 slackers. Shes Gorgeous

She is quirky - kinda odd but InTeReStInG, has a retro thrift style, seems to support feminism, willing to listen, gives extra credit, grades fairly, makes class FUN, class always goes by FAST, and she talks bad about her dad but relates it to the stories. I strongly recommand her!! I had her for english 67,she was my first English prof in college. And she was really funny and helpful. She allows revision for each paper below 90(total was 125). Just do your work and attend class everytime, at least you can get a B or higher. I had an A :)

My first class at Mt. Sac. After bad writing in high school due to uncaring instructors Kimberly really taught me how to write and I became really good at writing and somewhat enjoy now compared to before. At times she treats you like a baby because attendance is mandatory, which is good for you anyways because your paying for the class. Very good!

To succeed, do every assignment that is required because every point matters in this class. She has a very specific writing style and structure that she is looking for. She's honest and will not sugar coat anything if your writing style is unstructured and unclear. She's not a push over. If you think you're excellent, expect to be prove otherwise.

I LOVED taking her class. She is clear about her expectations for essays. She is the toughest grader in the English Dept. Yes she is a good professor but her expectations in writing are high. I had to drop her class because it was too much. I had a friend who is a straight A student and got a B. Again she's good but this is not a class to bs in. There are a lot of expectations but she will make you a better writer.

I took professor Quintana for winter and let me tell you, I don't target it at all. Everything she taught I use so much in english 68. She's a really big help when wanting to improve your essay. She amazing! Just beware she is a tough grader on the essay but only because she wants her student to improve!

She can be challenging, but if you want to really learn a lot, this class would be it. I believe if you do very well in her class, then other classes will most likely be a breeze. Some people may no like that she follows a specific theme throughout the entire course, but I liked it.

Kim was the BEST professor I have had. I took her for English 68 in the fall of 2015. Her subjects were extremely interesting (studied music videos)and her classes follow a theme, ours was rooted in pop culture. She opens your mind to look at things beyond the surface. Had Quintana for fall'18, it was pretty difficult work load wise but she is a very nice and caring Professor. Professor Quintana was amazing! A few reading journals and 3 essays but you can revise the first two for extra points and submit multiple times for the 3rd so she can monitor your progress. The most chill teacher I've ever had the pleasure of taking, grades mainly consisted of journals and essays. Gave great feedback on all your writings. Overall was such a fun and caring professor.

On paper, this class is definitely one of the most difficult classes, but the professor makes it where you can't fail, if you try. She gives fantastic feedback, she has so many support places in her modules where you can get help there, and she even had a tutor on hand, if you needed help. And every tutor session you join, you get extra credit!

Prof. Q is a dream to have for English. She literally tells you step by step what she expecxts from you. Then, guides you through all of it with very detailed notes on each paragraph and page. She provides all the information to do the work and gives plenty of time to do it. You always know where you stand in her class. An "A" is very possible.

Although she's a tough grader, its hard to fail as she allowed us to re-write our essays for a better grade after the initial feedback.
