Not an 'EASY A" as everyone posts. Perhaps she read them and made the tests more difficult. Trick questions, obscure figures from notes. Definitely study the book even though she doesnt open it once. Homework and projects arent bad though, basically your best chance at keeping a good grade.

She's great, very well-organized and caring person. She will give you lots of extra credit opportunities by posting discussions, also slight curves for every tests. I love the way she teaches and organizes her class. Also, she's very quick responder! Overall, Great Prof. but not that easy. But, still a great chance to get a good grade.

few homework, three mc exams (including final), two in-class projects, and one research project. Exams are 100% based on the powerpoint lecture notes. Reading is optional. Study guide is provided for each test. If take good notes, study hard, and do all the assignments and projects, should get an A easily.

She is very knowledgable and helpful. All you need to do is listen, study and communicate. I wasn't looking forward to this class but she made it fun and interesting. Now I am planning to take her geology class too.

Ms. Schulte is really nice. I learned a lot from her class and found it to be interesting. She is not biased in the way she teaches - she presents both sides to the story. My only complaint: her exam questions tend to be tricky, so beware!

Mrs. Schulte is a really great teacher; her class is not easy;however, if you take good notes and prepare for the exams, you can end up with an A or a B. There are 5 homework projects to do during the semester; they take some time to do them. She is a very nice person.

Mrs. Schulte is plesant and easygoing and knows her material well. While her pre-planning and organizational skills are weak, this tends to work to the benefit of her students, as she will frequently reduce the workload to compensate for missing materials. She is excellent in helping you arrive at solutions if you will only ask for her assistance.

Gives a study guide for each test. Homeworks are straight forward. Projects are fun! Exams are multiple choice and NOT difficult if you study. If you follow the rules for earning the extra credit you get it. I did. Makes topics very interesting. Enjoyable class and not one sided!

AWESOME online class. Powerpoints are interesting, helpful, study guide is good but long, very fair in grading exams and projects. Uses announcements to communicate so you must read them. Final was a bit intense but hey, it was a final.

C with little effort. You do have to pay attention to presentations. Only 2 exams not 4 - multiple choice, curves some. Helpful if you ask. Interesting for a science course.

Online class requires you to be organized and motivated. You can work at your own pace to an extent. Make sure you read announcements, emails and everything posted on homepage. Study guides are very helpful, final was 75 ?s, homework is easy, projects were fun. Take online only if you are willing to work a little harder than on campus class.

This class was awesome! She is the most organized professor, and you always know what to expect. Text book was useless, but her powerpoint slides are imperative. You write a lot, but she really enjoys interractions. Talk in class and she'll give you extra points in the end (it's my secret). She also gives lots of bonus opportunites. LOVE HER!

Even though I got an A in her class, I still didn't really like her. She has a bad attitude about things. All lecture notes are done through powerpoint and if you miss class its your responsibility to get them from someone in class- I would still recommend her but be sure to be extremely nice to her

very nice definitely plays favorites! If you toto class she will round up your final grade if you are within a few points of the next grade. I learned pretty much nothing but it was an ok class. Bad thing is she says one thing will be on a test and then puts something slightly different so you gotta know everything in the end :-/

Took her class online. Her powerpoint voice presentations made it very interesting and involving into a subject matter. The exams are timed but if you study before - its a peace of cake, except the final one - challenging. You have to work on your homeworks and projects in order to get A.

Took online which wasn't so bad. You must read the book and take down powerpoint notes in order to get a good grade on the test. The other assignments were a piece of cake, however, the final was challenging. Got a B in the class.

she's very nice and loves her job, her tests are pretty hard but if you study you should do ok. i did the extra credit at the end of the semester which gives a 100 for a test grade and that helped a ton, her final was easier than any of the other tests

I took Mrs. Schulte for ENVS 1401 last semester and I am currently taking her for GEOL 1101 lecture and lab.Science is my worst subject and my test scores still show, yet she is a clear instructor and very helpful. She is fair and offers help. Her test are short yet very tricky,but with the extra credit offered that will help in the end.Go 2 class

Ms. Schulte is a good Geology teacher who knows her subject well. She does all she can to help you with the course and grades. She is always kind and considerate of her students.

Online class is super easy, consists of watching two, 30 minute videos each week and taking notes which is it. The midterm is taken online and is short answer form, final is multiple choice taken on campus. Great teacher!

I took this teacher for Envs 1401 online, Geology 1101 and also Geo Lab (both in class). She uses the powerpoint alot and I thought she was fun. Make sure you take notes on the powerpoint because it will help alot on the exams. I wouldn't hesitate to take her again. Highly recommend.

Nice Teacher! Not very hard if you pay attention to powerpoint presentation, listen to videos, and do projects which are fairly easy. Midterm and Finals are worth lots of points but she makes it possible for you to atleast earn B if you do well on midterm (short ans) and rest of the work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!

Great online class. Love the fact she uses powerpoint WITH audio! She gives a study guide for each test. Offers EC discussion boards. She tells you she will refer you to the syllabus IF the answer is already there...you signed sayin you read it so what do you expect? Taking her geology online now and it is fun ROCK MUSIC online!!

Taking online this semester. You need to be organized and motivated. She gives study guides and tests are from the guides but you do need to study. Gives opps for extra credit. No homework only 2 projects which are not hard. Powerpoints are clear. She gives you a window of 2-3 days to take tests. Not easy but not hard either.

Geology Rox! Best science course I ever took. Prof really made it fun and I actually learned stuff. Not too easy but just right. You do have to study some tho. The projects are fun and not just boring homework. Answers email and post grades fast. Will take again for next geology class.

Taking online you do have to study but lectures are good and the study guides for the test are key. The projects are so-so but better than regular homework. She doesn't check email over the weekend but she says she doesn't. Helpful when you ask will even provide phone conferences if you can't get to campus. Overall, I would recommend.

OMG! Professor Schulte is probably the BEST teacher I ever had. She makes it virtually impossible for you to not make an A in her class. I tooke her online class for both Geology and Environmental Science and made an easy A in both. She offers extra credit, and she is WAY more than fair on grading. I LOVED her. Take her if you can. She is the best!

I took this course online. Test hard and extrememly detailed. Curved all test thought which helped alot. Opportunities for extra credit and other assignments which helped overall grade. I would recommend. Wish she were teaching GEOL1122.

Funny how the ratings are so different. Online class a lot of work like all online classes. Course quiz over syllabus you have in front of your face. Uses lockdown so you can't use the net when taking exam but you still have notes and books. She does respond quickly to emails which are short and to the point. Very understanding. Took Hybrid class and wish all my classes were like this. Power points are all online, meet once a week to watch any video, answer ?, and so on. LOVED this class and I hate science!! I promise you will not be sorry. She gives fun pop quizzes for bonus points in class (like who won the football game). TAKE THIS CLASS YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!

Prof is very understanding. Had several personal family issues she worked with me and allowed me time to get caught up. She really cares about students if you don't do well in her class it is probly because you did not try. i took env online and geol hybrid class and recommend both. I wish prof taught more classes so i could take them too.

Took over summer so very condensed. Discussions are bonus, homework is easy not the normal answer these questions. Videos are short and interesting, lectures are powerpoint with audio. Responds quickly, very helpful. Great summer class.

Tough but fair teacher. Always helpful with questions. Tests are hard; usually only 25?s so you really have to study! Live by the ppts! Do well on homework and quizes as they greatly impact your grade. Do the extra credit field trip! It greatly helps your grade. I suggest taking Physical Geology first; it will make Historical Geology much easier

Awesome instructor, one of the best so far. Very Helpful especially in labs. The class is a hybrid so she does talk very fast to cover all material in one session but you have access to lectures online. Very funny. You do have to complete assignments and do well on tests to make an A or B. Taking her online for ENVS this summer.

Come on people - she drops multiple quizzes, replaces the lowest exam score and offers plenty of EC. It is obvious from comments who failed the class. The only way NOT to pass is to simply not do the work and not study. Two things you should do in any college course, especially science. Straight-forward, clear expectations, makes science fun.

I took this class for an online over the summer. She did all chapters in Power Point online lectures and had a quiz once a week, plus 2 tests, 3 papers, and discussions. I enjoyed this class a lot as long as you did the reading and all work it's a easy A. She makes stuff clear on what to do and when to do it.

Good professor, her quizzes were really easy if you follow her powerpoints should be a easy A/B. The midterm was okay but the final was definitely hard. So you really have to study for that. Other than that she's a good teacher.

took her for intro to geology online and her lab. she is a tough teacher not gonna lie. i did have some problems with her online course but if you really do show that you care and work hard she will give you the grade that you want. for her online class she lets u drop 3 quizzes and she had an extra credit opportunity as well which helped me a lot!

I can't say enough about her lab, she made a horribly boring subject fun. I actually enjoyed going to lab. We had so much fun in the class. You do have quizzes which you do have to study for but if you follow her instructions and stick to her reviews you will be fine. Taking her hybrid in the fall!

I had no idea what a hybrid was but it turned out to be really cool. Lecture notes in iCollege. You go to class only once a week to take any quizzes, exams,class projects or mini-lectures. If I had know this ahead of time and I could have taken both of her hybrids and knocked out my science requirements in half the time!! More hybrids please!

Her online class this was the best. Class was neatly organized,she responded within hours emails. You do have to listen to the lectures, they are video so you donâ??t simply have to read stale notes. The assignments are not bad and donâ??t take long but do help you with exams. Best online class I have taken so far. I am taking her ENVS over the summer.

Not easy worked for a B. Since its science class didnâ??t expect a cakewalk. Dr. S was great, she does care, very responsive to student concerns and issues. There are no make ups allowed but she does offer EC, drops 3 of your lowest quizzes, replaces your lowest exam with the final and even gives bonus quizzes.Dr. S because she made it fun.

I learned so much, one of my best classes. I hesitated because it's science. Dr Schulte truly cares for her students. In this class we went outside, ran up and down the hallway, ran around in class, played with jello, melted crayons, put flies to sleep and a bunch of other fun stuff. I L O V E D this class and Prof. Schulte.

Don't let a hybrid scare you - they are awesome. Dr S puts the lectures online so I could listen to them in the car or at the park with my kids. I was able to graduate because I took both hybrids at the same time saved me time & $ She is very helpful and cares but you have to earn your grade. Never thought I would actually like two science classes.

Her class is easy. I have no interest in Geology and the lowest grade I got on anything was an 85. Study, and read the book and you'll do fine.

Super clear expectations, drops 3 quizzes, replaces lowest exam grade and takes participation into account. Sticks to no makeups though. Very helpful and funny. Just do what is asked and you will pass no problem. I could have had an A but didn't really study as much as I should have for the quizzes.

OMG this was the last class I could take with her taken 4 and loved each one. She is funny, caring and very supportive. I had a rough start and she helped me, no A but I did make a B. She is really helpful her hybrids are best because you get online and class time. This was a great science class learned a lot, we even had cupcakes in class!

Online geology was more interesting that I thought ti would be. Videos are very informative, quizzes are not super easy but it is a science class. Study guides are helpful and she will review them yours if you ask. Missed an exam but was replaced with my final so I could attend a funeral. A lot less stressful than a makeup exam. Highly recommend!!!

She is a pretty good teacher. Her powerpoints tell you everything you need for the test so no book required. Preety straight forward. As long as you listen to the powerpoints you are going to get an A. I only got a B because the half of the final was face to face for the online class so I bummed it. Easy A though if you try!

Her class is easy if you can simply listen to her when she talks about the material she is teaching. Her power points just seem to spoon feed the information to you. I wish all of my instructors were like her. She shares her appreciation and fascination with the information she teaches.

I took her environmental lecture class as well as her physical geology lecture and lab class. They were all pretty crowded with many students which had to be downsized because you couldn't breat, so if you like powerpoint slides and mastering the course access codes, and dated quizzes and tests which our on the syllabus than this class is for you.

I took Professor Schulte for lecture and lab. I loved her class. If you don't understand something just ask her after class. The lab was the hardest and the most people had problems with. You work with groups till the end of the semester so make sure you pick a good group. Lecture is online since I took a hybrid.

OMG, she is the best online teacher I have had and for science. Responds within 24 hours, caring, great audio lectures, quizzes and exams straight from lectures. The class is well organized. Drops quizzes and one exam. Offers to help with studying before the exam, we had a great phones review and I got an A on the last exam.

So this was an ONLINE SCIENCE course, ick. Prof S made it is as painless as possible. I didn't get my A but made an 88%. The course is well organized, clear expectations, clear grading, responds to emails quickly. However, the final is not easy. It is online but proctored and cumulative. She did provide study guides which helps a lot.

Really good for online class, she is very organized and really fast in responding to emails. She really sticks to the policies in the syllabus so you know what to expect. No extra credit because "averages were high", would still have liked the chance. Regular exams, quizzes and assignments in a Pearson website but you get multiple chances at answer

Okay so honestly, this was a great online science course. Prof S is no pushover though. She sticks to her policies but is not without compassion. The main things is to communicate if you have issues. Her policies allow for missed quizzes and missed exam. I am not a big fan of mastering geology but it is more interesting than writing papers!

I didn't use the book much because her tests are based on her powerpoints. The exams are not super easy but study some and they are manageable. Mastering assignments are okay but if you ask for a hint, you lose a portion of the score. Good lectures, responds very quickly and will help when you ask for it. Taking her for ENVS this summer.

Online science - yuck! Prof S makes it tolerable and even enjoyable. Just do the work on time which is not that much. Use the study guides provided and you will do well. She is fast with emails and grades quickly so you know where you are in the course. Taking her for ENVS this summer, fingers crossed.

Lectures are ppt with audio. Uses Mastering for assignments which is not bad and they are not very long. Class is well organized for online. Exams are not to bad if you follow the study guide. The final is on campus though so no notes! This is for all science courses. Lab is separate wish I had taken her for lab!

GREAT teacher! I had some issues come up and she worked with me to make sure I didn't get too far behind. She does stick to the syllabus which she makes very clear. Homework is online and interactive, quizzes are not bad but are timed, usually 5 questions or so. The exams took on average 30 minutes to finish. Study guide was awesome.

Okay, not ganna lie. I failed class but it was my own issues. Taking it with her over summer as she is willing to work with me and the issues I have. NO other teacher is willing to do this to me. Very nice and I will do my best to honor and respect her by passing class.

Love Prof Schulte! She was amazing all semester. Class very organized, syllabus clear, policies clear. Took about an hour a week to complete assignments, unless there was an exam. Study guides for exams are amazing! Grades always posted quickly, always knew what my grade was. Quizzes short and sweet. Best decision to take her class.

Not going to lie, if not for prof kim i would have failed this course. she is the reason i passed. science is hard to me but her lectures and reviews and responses to my questions help me. I made a C+ but i am happy with it because i did not expect it. I thank prof for help and for understanding my difficulty.

Just checked my grade and I made a letter grade over what I thought because of the dropped quizzes and exam replacement. I am so stoked. I wish others would realize life happens and you can't always do everything. Sticks to the policies but they are more than fair! If you need a science course, take her!

Great class, I took it last fall and wished I had been able to take her for my other science class. Prof S is so fast in responding to emails and with grades. You don't have to wonder about anything because her syllabus is thorough and she makes allowances for missing quizzes and exams! Syllabus in my other class wasn't even posted until Feb!

Not bad for online science in the summer. You do have to study for exams but you get a study guide. No extra credit offered in the summer so keep that in mind. Truly a blessing to have my science taken care of!

Great for a summer science course. Well organized and fast responder to emails and questions. Also quick grader! Always know where you stand with grade. Good lectures too.

Super class, very organized, not a lot of homework and provides great study guides! Want her to teach other classes.

CLEAR expectations, offers to replace lowest exam with final (even if you miss one), does not give extra credit "as grades typically do not warrant it". Tests based on ppts and gives a study guide. School uses lockdown browser on exams. Takes minimal effort to study her powerpoints following study guide. Homework setup as quizzes can use notes....

OMG - best science class ever. Looks like a lot of work but assignments are not very involved. Some quizzes took me a minute to complete. A TON OF EXTRA CREDIT just for completing assignments ON TIME and doing post reflections. She responds FAST too.

Lots of extra credit just for doing work by due date but no penalty if you miss it. There is a hard deadline but it was like midpoint. Looks like a lot of work at first but some assignments take a minute to complete! Great setup, just takes getting used. Responds very quickly to emails. Does use Lockdown Browser as all classes do now.

Lectures are a group effort by diff. prfs. Lots of homework but they are very short and easy. The exams are monitored so no cheat coz you will get seen. TONS of extra credit. This course is setup the same way for all online 1121 labs so going to dif class won't make a diff. Responds fast to email.

I took both the lecture and lab with Prof Schulte and loved it. The course offers extra credit with EVERY assignment! It looks like a lot of work but the quizzes are short. She grades fast and responds to emails fast too. My only advice is don't cheat, you will get caught. I had several class mates say that she caught them when nobody else has!
