Professor Smith is one of my favorites. She's strict but fair . She's accessible and approachable. Her lectures are funny and informative. She's very caring. Her in class activities really helped me to learn the concepts for the exams. Exams are hard but only include what was covered on the lecture slides, plus you get to drop your lowest exam.
Professor Smith is a great professor. There isn't too much work, and lectures are good. She's understanding and will work with you whenever you need to. Course consists of quizzes, writing assignments, tests and lecture. Also, gives lots of opportunity for extra credit!
I absolutely love Professor Smith. She makes her classes as enjoyable as she can. Alot of applied psychology. It is just bad that they won't let her teach other classes. she definitely made an impact on my life. Take her and you won't be disappointed. Lots of extra credit opportunities.
Class consists of easy in-class activities, few chapter quizzes, and some thinking since it is Psychology. Teacher is helpful and cares about the success of the students. There is an online version of the textbook needed for the class.
Even though attendance isn't mandatory, it helps because participation and extra credit opportunities are given. Taking this as a summer A course was tough, but she is fair in mostly everything she does. She cares about the well being of her students and is very approachable.
Definitely take this professor. She cares about her students
Ms. smith is a very nice teacher, very good personality.
Prof. Smith cares about psychology and wants to see her students succeed, there are many in class activities which help a lot with the material she teaches but her lectures are very clear. After topic is covered in class she posts the slides (notes) on canvas.
She's understanding and gives a decent amount of extra credit. I highly recommend her
Kimberly Smith is an amazing professor you can tell she really loves what she does and is willing to give all the extra help. She sends out a FREE copy of the textbook which is awesome. Her lectures are very clear and to the point with helpful videos and funny memes. 10/10 would recommend!
There are reading quizzes you must complete each week and three critical thinking activities where you have to watch videos and have a discussion. The course is pretty easy and goes by smoothly as long as you do the required assignments.
She's a great professor and does her best. She's caring and wants everyone to succeed. Only downfall is that quizzes due in the early morning so do it the night before and don't wait last minute.
Great teacher. Teaches by having everyone reading a chapter and taking a quiz the night before we go over the subject in class.
Very nice and caring to the students. There is a lot of work, including quizzes and tests, especially in the summer accelerated class. She gives a LOT of extra credit and encourages you to go to her office hours if you need help or want her to teach you more in depth about any specific topic. Overall, very good teacher.
Just read the textbook and go to the lectures and you will definitely get an A. There are in-class activities in addition to your exam and writing grades. There are also a few extra credit assignments!
I had hoped that this class would be a lot more fun and interesting. She reads off powerpoints the whole class which can be really boring. However, this class was an easy A. The textbook is online so you do not need to buy one. All of the quizzes and exams are open book but they are critical thinking type question so they can be difficult!
Professor Smith is amazing! Her lectures are interesting , fun and very creative. If you put the work into her class and do the assignments, extra credit and take ALL the quizzes and exams, there's no reason for anyone not to receive an A. She also gives you the opportunity to drop your lowest grade. Seriously, what professor does that anymore.
Professor Smith is very fair in how she gives grades. She makes psychology actually interesting. She expects her students to do the work and the grades are not just handed to you. As they shouldn't be. She does give lots of extra credit points. Which has saved a lot of my friends. She allows you to drop your lowest score too. Read SYLLABUS
Professor Smith was an incredible instructor. S Her slides were informative yet engaging. I couldn't of asked for a better professor for this subject. She was also generous with us to give extra credit throughout the course. She also allowed us to have our lowest quiz/test scores dropped. Not too many professors allow that these days. Take her!!!
Prof. Smith is great! Very approachable, and very fair. She Really cares about our success. Read the text assignments- FREE textbook online. Go to class (NOT required, but lots of extra credit opportunities)! All lecture slides posted online, Open book exams, NEVER tests on anything not covered on slides, AND drops lowest test score!! Was an Easy A
She's awesome! You can tell she really cares about her students and making the class interesting/fun. The material is clear, organized and entertaining. You can go to her office hours if you need extra help, but if you just pay attention to the lectures you shouldn't need to. I definitely recommend her! :)
Amazing is,an understatement for Professor Smith. She's caring, available, and by far extremely fair. If you read the material and review her slides before any of the quizzes and exams, there's no reason for you not to ace all of them. All her quiz/test questions are applied questions. Review her slides and read material and you will get an A.
Professor Smith really wants you to learn the material and tests are mostly on in class lectures. Offers a lot of extra credit. Really, if you show up, you will pass.
Professor Smith seems to really care about her students. She teaches off slides so be prepared to take a lot of notes, but the good thing is she posts the slides at the end of the week. The exams are all open notes and open book. Plus, she gives a lot of extra credit through out the semester.
Professor Smith is a very fair teacher. As long as you show up to class and review the lecture slides that she posts on canvas than you will be fine. I would definitely take her again, and would recommend to everyone.
Going into Psychology, I was afraid that the class would be heavy on flashcards and memorization. Kim makes the class easy to understand and very fair. She gives lots of extra credit and drops the lowest grades. She's super funny and easy to contact. For what can be a hard class, she makes it fun.
She was super easy, nice and gave tons of extra credit, its very hard to do bad in her class!
VERY Easy class, PowerPoint lectures every day. Attendance does not affect your grade, However, she does take attendance daily. If you miss class during an "In class activity" (which are random) you will not get those participation points. Lowest grades are dropped. Gives out TONS of extra credit. Makes sure every assignment is clear.
No phones. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there are assignments you will not be able to make up if you don't show up to class, so it's recommended you show up. Textbook is used for your weekly quizzes. Tests are open-book and open-notes. Caring and involved professor. A challenging, but fun and interesting class.
She has a strict no phones policy - she will take it. She helps you as much as she can as giving you extra credit. There is quickly reading quizzes. She can be disorganized. She does take attendance, and she has a lot of class activities that are for participation. I enjoyed this class and the discussion we have discussed. Not a bad class!
No phones allowed. The work is pretty simple, but the class overall is really interesting.
Easy class, gives ALOT of extra credit and does not require attendence, but when you do show up she has many participation activities that turn into points. She drops the worse exam and quiz grade and all the work is on an online textbook. There is one reading quiz per week which is easy if you read the chapter online. Overall good class.
Mrs. Kimberly has been a wonderful professor that really gets in depth of Psychology and when in need to bring up your grade, she provides bountiful of extra credit to help you out.
She cares for her students. Available 24/7 for emails literally. She gives you most of the material needed. Helpful presentations with a lot of humor :) Helpful in-class activities.
She has been my favorite teacher so far this semester! She is very helpful and very easy to reach. Her slides are thorough and if you arent satisfied with your grade you will have plenty of easy and interesting assignments to make up for it.
Okay. If you want an easy A TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She's super sweet and ready to help you if you want. She reads from the PowerPoint for her lectures but she uploads them for you to USE ON THE TESTS. Open book, open note, open everything online tests from canvas. She has in class activities that go toward your grade so show up. Do the extra credit.
Best psychology teacher at Santa Fe. She gives so much extra credit and opportunities to receive the best grade if you actually put in the work. Super understanding as well, but also very fair.
Dr. Smith offers a lot of ways to make an A. Lots of extra credit assignments to help make up for points you might miss. Quiz at the end of each chapter, each week. Yet the lectures are with power points and notes. You can use your notes , book and slides on exams and quizzes. Dr. Smith welcomes class participation. Great professor!
She is a really great teacher. All quizzes and test you take at home! She gives a ton of extra credit as well. Attendance isn't really mandatory but if you don't come there is a chance you will miss in class assignments which you can't make up.
She was very friendly and cares about your grade.
Ms. Smith offers a lot of ways to earn an A. There is a lot of information to learn but all tests and quizzes are open book and taken at home so as long as you understand the concepts of everything and how they apply to real life, this class will be easy. She also offers a TON of extra credit.
Professor Smith is by far one of the best professors I've had. Coming into college as a freshman I was nervous about my classes and doing well, but she has made this so much easier. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. If there was ever a problem with a certain concept she would ALWAYS review it and she has great office hours as well. LOTS OF EC!
Very helpful. Offers assistance after class every day.
Very helpful, gives a good amount of extra credit. Caring about her students grades and doesn't want to see them fail , also she posts her slides on canvas. Attendance isn't mandatory but a lot of in class participation activities which go towards your final grade, so you wouldn't want to miss a lot. I highly recommend this class!
Professor Kimberly Smith is very respectful and caring. She goes out of her way to help any student that have questions or seeks assistance. Ms. Smith gives plenty of extra credit.
amazinggg teacher! Very caring, very nice! The topic was so interesting, I love the subject, I love her. She responds back immediately, the test are easy if you study the power points! Good luck.
She gives you best opportunity to succeed in her class by giving you multiple ways to get a good grade.
Mrs. Smith offers so much extra credit. If you don't do so hot on any assignment theres always enough extra credit to help boost your grade back up. She's very willing to give extra help if needed. She's very clear on what to do on the assignments that are assigned. All around great professor. You won't be disappointed.
Mrs. Smith is awesome! Always helpful at further explanation if you don't understand. Gives lots of extra credit. Makes class interesting most of the time. I'd definitely take her again!
If you are looking for an easy Gen Psychology then you've came to the right place!
This professor was very nice and cares about her students. If you do the work, you will pass. All the exams and quizzes are open notes, plus she gives a lot of extra credit. Definitely recommend taking her!
KImberly Smith is super nice and a great teacher. She knows her information which is clear to her students. A long as you show up tp class, take the notes, an read the textbook, you will pass the class!
Super nice and all around great teacher. Allows laptops but is not a fan of phones being used. Gives extra credit opportunities which is a big bonus, and drops some of your lowest grades. Exams and Quizzes are only one time submit and there are no retakes, so make sure you read the textbook and pay attention to the power-points.
First year of college and I had her as my teacher. Great at helping and teaching students gain knowledge on the subject. Gives plenty of notes and videos to review in case you do not understand a certain concept. Take this teacher, you will not regret it.
Great Professor Loved her she is so caring she wants you to pass. Don't understand something she always tells you to email her for help and she replies to you quickly. She also gives out alot of extra credit to help boost your grade very helpful. I would take her!
She makes it really hard to fail its all on you if you do.
Professor Smith is an amazing teacher! She cares about her students learning and as people which is rare to find. She knows her stuff too. Awesome teacher!
She was an extremely nice teacher but there is a lot of reading required for this class. Everything you do, except for in-class activities is online. There is a lot of quizzes. Every class she does slides and you take notes as she talks. There are many extra credit opportunities, but the workload is pretty heavy so make sure you check online.
Great professor! Really cares about her students. Provides LOTS of extra credit opportunity and ability to drop many assignments. Reading quizzes are every week, but really prepare you for the next week. Overall great professor!
She is good professor, but she gives you a lot of work to do, there is a quiz every week. You can drop the grades for 1 quiz 1 test 2 Critical thinking and 1 video quiz. She gives good amount of extra credit
Very nice, and understandable when it comes to modifying hw to accommodate our outside lives.
This professor is very nice, however, if you are not good at taking notes while listening to lectures, she may not be right for you. There is also a lot of textbook reading assigned for the chapter quizzes, but they are multiple choice and fairly simple. Other than this the rest of the class is pretty easy.
Lots of homework but all the assignments were easy and didnt take much time. She offered tons of extra credit. Attendance isnt mandatory but you have to in class activities all the time. Highly recommend!
Super easy class, it's hard to fail. A LOTT of extra credit which is helpful. covers all the material on exams through powerpoint. I honestly did not use the textbook she provided and just studied her lectures and did really good in her class.
She is a very nice caring person and I'm really glad I have her as a professor.
Great professor!
Plenty of homework but it's short and all of the exams are on canvas so you can take them at your leisure. She also offers a bunch of extra credit. However, attendance is mandatory and cell phone use is strictly prohibited. On most cases, the structure of the directions can be overwhelming and confusing.
Great teacher. Gives quizzes that help you learn subject matter and a lot of extra credit to help with your graded. Also very understanding with college life and allows a lot of leniency with assignments due to being able to drop your lowest test scores and quiz scores.
She is really good. Cares about all students and tries her best to accommodate for all schedules. I learned a lot and had a good time in her class.
She is very caring and wants you to succeed. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities and the exams are open book.
Shes is a fine professor who is strict but cares
Santa Fe canvas is at times confusing to me, so because of this I've missed some assignments that where due 8:00 am, instead of the usual 11:59 pm. Deadlines can easily go unnoticed in canvas, but there's no denying the information is actually there if you look.
She is a great teacher, highly recommended. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and the exams are fairly easy. The exams are also open book so take advantage of it while you can.
This professor is well organized and keeps information available for students. The class is not difficult and the professor provides the course material in a professional manner as well as making it easy to obtain and understand the material. I would recommend this professor to future students.
Shes an amazing teacher with a ton of extra credit opportunities. Attendance isnt mandatory but she does hand out worksheets in class for participantion so you might as well go for the points. Super easy going and gives more than enough time for work. Do the critical thinking questions in the beginning of the course!
She is an amazing teacher, she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She also gives a lot of extra credit and all the tests are open notes and open book even the final. It would be hard to fail the class. I highly recommend you take her class.
She is very understanding and caring, her personality makes the class a delight to go to.
Professor Smith is a nice and funny teacher. Class is taught in slideshows with good videos to watch that'll help you study around test time. The exams have applied type questions, so know the material well. She offers a lot of extra credit! And one or two assignments is dropped from every category in class.
She sits in front of the class and reads off of a powerpoint. If it wasn't for participation points in class I wouldn't show up.
Let me just say she gives extra credit to submit a review, which is why you see so many! So far one of my least favorite classes I have taken at Santa fe. I was very interested in psychology but now not so much. Boring class. Horrible teaching. I do not recommend.
Attendance isn't mandatory for her class but if do decide to skip, you may miss out on "in class" class participation points. She gives you numerous amounts of assignments and opportunities to boost your grade. STUDY for exams... there's a lot of course material and exam questions that are "applied type questions". P.s: exams are taken at home
she moves fast so write as much as you can as fast as you can. everything comes off a power point that is mostly pictures. she will leave the actual info that you need up for less than 2 minutes and stay on a picture for 10.
If it is your first time taking psychology, prof. Smith's class is for you. She makes it super clear and gives a lot of activities to explain.
She is an awesome professor who actually wants you to pass! She gives A LOT of extra credit opportunities, and is always willing to help you outside of class. Her assignments are all pretty easy and tests are online. I would definitely recommend taking her class and would for sure take it again myself!
DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! Professor Kim offers many opportunities to rake in points that can definitely help in the long run. Participation plays a big role in this course so be prepared. She is always available just in case you need help on anything or have any questions. HIGHLY recommend this instructor.
I really enjoyed my time in this class. Professor Smith is a fantastic lecturer and I always left the class feeling like I'd gained something. As long as you do the readings, and get good grades on the quizzes, you should be fine.
Kim is one of the best professors at Santa Fe. She makes sure to cover every single topic through and through before moving on. She offers TONS of in class participation and extra credit points which gets her students motivated to come to class and actually want to participate. How casual and laidback Kim and her course is makes learning enjoyable!
Easy class to pass. Do the work and show up for video quizzes and participation points. Everything else is to do at home online even the exams. YOU DO NOT NEED THE BOOK, she will provide it online.
She's a very open-minded professor. There's no mandatory attendance, but due to the fact that there are a lot of little quizzes, listening to the lectures can be really helpful. Almost all work is online. There are a few in class grades. The textbook is free and students have easy access to lecture slides. Make sure to take notes and you're good.
Professor Smith is a great teacher and it not out to make you fail as she drops your lowest grades. Attendance is not mandatory but she does add participation points at the end of the semester. Her exams are slightly difficult because they're applied type questions so memorization doesn't work. Textbook is free and overall the class is great.
Professor Smith is the best professor I have ever had. She is so caring and wants you to do well. You do not need to buy the textbook unless you enjoy having a paper version. She drops scores and gives constant extra credit. While attendance isn't mandatory, go to class, it's worth it for the grades and interesting lectures.
The class is great, but her slides are not as organize as I wold like. she should give the definitions before or in her slides because it is IMPOSSIBLE to write them as she speaks. Overall, she explains as much as possible and she cares about you understanding the chapters.
Honestly, Kim Smith is one of my fav teachers at Santa Fe. I recommend her to anyone who has to take Gen Psych. Shes a fair grader and leaves comments regarding your grades (good or bad). She also thoroughly goes through the notes. Shes awesome! Take her class if you can.
shes great
Professor Smith is a GREAT professor. She is a fair grader and gives many extra credit opportunities. Readings may be long but the quizzes are easy. Exams are simple, just go through all chapter slides before hand and have your notebook ready. Drops lowest grades in certain assignments. You dont really have to attend class to pass the class.
The overall class was pretty informative. The professor works hard to make sure you have enough extra credit to help you out if you are struggling. pretty easy class
Attendance isn't required, in class we take notes off of lecture slides. She gives lots of extra credit, exams are kind of tough because you are timed 60 minutes and it's 50 questions so it's hard to get through all of them because the questions are long and you have to think about them and everything is online.
She's an awesome professor who really cares about your grade. She's also very nice and likes to try and make the class fun. It seems like she gives a lot of work but it's a pretty simple class and there's plenty of extra credit
Professor Smith is a great professor! She helps students learn the value of social interaction between people in our day to day lives. On top of that she provides many materials, including the and online text book, lecture slides and videos that help you understand the different concepts of psychology. I highly recommend taking her class
I would definitely recommend this teacher 100%, she is very enthused about the subject she is teaching, and she makes the material very clear. And this is the class where no question is a bad question! Prof. Smith offers many opportunities for extra credit, and activities to better understand the material. She should get a raise.
Mrs. Smith is an amazing professor! She does have a very strict late work policy, which is NO LATE WORK. But she offers so many opportunities for grades and the most extra credit I have ever seen. She understands that sometimes life just gets in the way and she sets us up for success.
Great about being accessible and will work with you. you get to drop a lot of homework grades and quizzes so that helps. You can use lecture slides on the tests.
Professor Smith is a great teacher who loves what she does. She's fair and she's kind. Very accessible to her students if they need anything at all. You are able to use your notes and her lecture slides on your exams. Be sure to save her PowerPoint lecture slides and put them all together in one file per exam. Great way to be thorough & confident.
She is a really great professor. Her classes are really interesting and she likes to hear the feedback of the students in order to improve the classes. You can ask her anything if you don't understand something during class and there are a lot a group activities very interesting and extra credits. If you can I recommend a class with her in a 100%.
She's a quite easy teacher to take and get a good grade with. She drops a LARGE number of assignments and the assignments are mostly online (like 95% of them). Just copy the notes down and use them during the test and you'll be golden. As far as her personality goes, sometimes she's a little too political but you'll be fine if you have self control
Great class, not very difficult if you study. Open notes on tests and quizzes, all online, able to take at home.
Professor Kimberly Smith is great because she has clear expectations and a passion for teaching the material which makes it very easy to get engaged and get a good grade
Class is easy as long as you keep notes and do th readings. Quizzes and tests are mostly online allowed with open notes.
I enjoy how she has the class set up but taking notes everyday can be pretty boring. I love that the tests are online and open book and note.
The class is great. Many opportunities for points to higher your grade, and then some. I was used to online assignments closing at midnight, but some of hers close at 8am so I would make sure you don't forget. Other than that, it was a good experience.
This is the kind of class were you have to do most of the learning on your own at home. While the teachers lecture slides are helpful they prepare you foe the exams. Speaking of which, the exams are online so that's a plus however, the time is short giving you only about as minute to do each problem. So if your a slow test taker I would be weary.
I honestly love this class, it came in clutch. I have about 5 courses this semester and this class did not give me a headache at all. You take your exam & quizzes at home. Barely any hw. As long as you read youll do fine. She provides plenty of extra credit opportunities plus she drops some assignments. She gives good lectures. I suggest her a lot
She is very nice and always cares for class. However, her tests are al applies examples so you must be aware of it.
Great, clear lectures throughout the semester. Lots of assignments give you plenty of opportunity to improve your grade.
Gives a lot of assignment/credit opportunities throughout the semester, and gives detailed information on slides. Goes a little fast during lectures, but will adjust speed if asked.
This teacher goes over slides throughout the week with a reading quiz before that chapter is started. She then drops the slides on Canvas after fully going over the chapter. Her exams are all online and open note. She heavily encourages to use the slides for the exams. Also, there are video quizzes that are taken about once every 2 weeks.
She is a great professor doesn't give away grades, but makes it easy to get the grade you want. Like most classes you want to pass you need to go for a better understanding of what you need to do.
Very nice professor, gives you many chances for extra credit, homework, quizess exams are all online. the ony thing i did not like was the exams were all time which made it a bit more intense. overall, I reccommend this class!
Pay close attention to the slide shows and do the extra credit. Thats why I passed with a 100
This was a great class with lots of extra credit. All her test and quizzes were online and were open note/textbook.
Nice professor who gives great lectures. A lot of it is mainly presentation/textbook stuff but she presents it well. Warning her tests are all application stuff so you really need to understand the concepts, not just memorize the definition. Loads of extra credit. You can definitely earn the grade you want here pretty easily.
Genuinely appreciate a professor like her. Cannot find many like her, she is truly involved with her students, very supportive. Also gives tons of extra credit and drops lowest grades. Take notes and youll pass. LOVE this woman.
She is a great, caring professor. She gives lots of opportunities for extra credits. However, her lecture material sometimes differed from the material in book.
Good Professor. Lots of extra credit and if you read the chapters and pay attention in class you should do well in this class.
great teacher, super nice, class isn't mandatory, but she adds up the participation points up at the end and that can effect your grade.
A lot of extra credit opportunities, many different references and activities to involve students. Very caring about the students and their ability to learn. The only criticism is bringing politics into class however it wasn't done often and can be looked past easily. Absolutely the most caring professor I've had up unto this point.
If you think this class is easy because of her high review you're wrong. There is no real way to study for exams because they are application based and usually have nothing to do with lecture slides. Get ready to absorb a lot of information and keep up with assignment deadlines most due at 11:59 and all reading quizzes due at 8 am.
Amazing teacher! She get involve with her students, to the point where she says HI to me everytime we cross paths. She gives a lot of extra credits which can really help your grade. Her discussions are always interesting and funny! Plus she gives free candies :)
Professor Smith is great. If you have any questions, even if they aren't related to the lecture, she is happy to answer them. She offers a large amount of extra credit and allows you to drop some of your lowest scores. The extra credit and drop policy is great because she does not accept late work.
If you show up to lectures and pay just a bit of attention an "A" is easily obtainable. Every test/quiz is open notes, which makes it easy to get good grades on the assignments. She also drops a lot of grades, which is nice. There are also participation activities during class (worth 10% of grade), textbook is free.
Best professor Ive EVER had. Shes so sweet and understanding. All assignments are online but you need to attend class for participation points. Its an easy A if you attend and take some notes. DEFINITELY recommend .
You can earn up to 90 extra credit points!!!! Shes so amazing honestly and makes sure you understand and very sweet and funny. Take it you wont regret it
Professor smith is super sweet and gives tons of opportunities for extra credit. Its impossibke to fail if you dont try. Exams are at home and open note so its super easy to pass her class with an A. Not many quizzes. Id take her again if i could!
You have four exams in this class. Exam 1-3 and then the final. You get to drop your lowest grade so don't sweat too much, but still study. She drops at least one assignment out of every category, so your lowest drops. She gives a gracious amount of extra credit. Very sweet and caring, but don't get caught on your cell phone.
She is super sweet and a fair grader. There are a lot of chapter quizzes where you have to read to do well on. All quizzes and tests (including final) are online however so if you don't read you can still do okay. She drops a lot of grades if you miss anything and offers tons of extra credit. She is a good teacher and you will learn a lot.
Attendance is mandatory but lectures are posted online if you miss class. Quizzes online are really easy. Lots of chances for extra credit. If you review the lectures for a day you should get a decent test score (which is also online). Lecture slides are very helpful and the class is overall an easy A. Would take again for sure.
Professor Smith is very easy going and will respond to any question and never make you feel silly or stupid for asking
She is Great! She teaches really well and I learned so much from her. You use an online textbook so you do not have to buy one. Everything (and I mean everything) is open note. She gives lots of extra credit. She is very understanding and will help you out but she does stick to her syllabus hard.
Though it is not mandatory to attend this class, you get participation point that go towards your grade at the end of the semester. Test and quizzes are open book open note and you take them at home online. Extra credit is provided to make up some points. This prof. is by far one of my favorites shes clear, respectful and very helpful.
Prof. Smith is a great professor. Her class is based on points and she gives many extra credit opportunities. She is very insightful and gives great lectures. I would definitely take her class again.
Attendance isn't mandatory however you will miss out on participation points which will be useful by the end of the semester. Reading quizzes are important to keep track of they add up after a few weeks . Most notes are taken in class and it is a very easy going class for the most part. Overall great teacher, would take a class with her again.
Honestly one of the most interesting classes I have taken, her lectures have a lot of activities which makes it super fun. Professor Smith truly cares about her students, replies to emails almost immediately and offers A LOT OF EXTRA CREDIT. Exams and quizzes are mostly online. TAKE HER CLASS.
Very good professor. There is a lot of work but she drops the lowest grades out of many categories
Professor Kimberly is great she give a lot of extra credit. But she also have a lot of homework.
Professor Smith is a great teacher and keeps the class exciting. She will take time to explain things and has very detailed instructions for all of her assignments. It is not a high stress class so you can actively learn instead of worrying about your grade.
Great teacher, always is willing to help you out and guide you to a good grade. MD
Offers many opportunities for extra credit. Be ready to do online homework, online quizzes, and in-class video quizzes. All exams and the final is online. All quizzes, exams, and homework is open note which means you can use her posted lecture slides for reference. Simple class, with work put in you will receive a good grade.
She was a great professor! Many helpful extra credit opportunities were provided to help with a further understanding of the material (and a better grade). The tests and quizzes were very fair, so if you read and go through all the power points it's a fairly easy A. I really enjoyed the textbook too! It was actually more fun than expected too!
This class is very easy and straight forward. SO many extra credit opportunities and all exams are online.
Very friendly and communicates super well through emails, mainly teaches off of slides and then posts to use to study. Attendance isn't mandatory and offers loads of extra credit!!
Very good class and professor. I would definitely take her again. Lots of lectures but interesting content.
Great Professor, her power points explain everything. Gives a lot of extra credit, and has a great grading system.
She is amazing and so is her grading criteria. definitely would recommend anyone to take her class.
Great Professor.
I 10/10 suggest you take professor smith if you're looking for an easier class. The Assignments aren't hard and she gives many chances to drop your lowest scores etc. The exams can be a little tricky, BUT they are open book and open note.
Attending Lecture is important as well as taking the quizzes before class. She's really nice and she actually cares. If you need help you can go to her and she'll gladly help you.
Great professor, highly recommend.
Gives a lot of extra credit, and has a great grading system. She care about her student if you have a trouble in exam or class you can meet her. She explain in details about topic.
She's a great proffesor. She is knowledgable and helpful in her office hours. She offers tons of extra credit. I got about an 82 on the exams as an average and still made an A. DO YOUR EXTRA CREDIT!
Her lectures are very simple and you learn more from the powerpoint rather than the actual textbook. Make sure you study those powerpoints. She also offers a lot of extra credit so there should be no reason to get lower in the B in the course. Would highly recommend her class.
good teacher
She is an awesome teacher and she offers so much extra credit that I had like a 110% the whole semester. USE HER RESOURCES SHE GENEROUSLY OFFERS!!
You'll be assigned a chapter reading, do a quiz at home, then she'll go over it in the class which means she doesn't teach you about the subject matter until after you take the quiz
i love her ughhhhhh <3
Pretty fast pace but she will slow down if you ask. Overall highly recommend having her.
Not bad at all
Good class.
This is a pretty easy class but exams are pretty difficult and don't really go with what we've learned. If you're good at test taking you should be ok if not i don't suggest this class.
While class is not mandatory there are participation points. If you do good on everything and take advantage of extra credit you wont need to go to class. Everything you need for the tests she posts online. As long as you go over the material its an easy A.
Professor Smith was one of the best teachers i've ever had. She's so sweet and gives a lot of extra credit
This class is a good choice to choose for beginners foundation in psychology. There were ups and downs on some days. However, attendance is not mandatory and she post all the slides at the end of chapter.
Loves giving extra credit and is a caring teacher.
A lot of assignments, but not hard. Usually come in the form of online quizzes. 4 online, open-book exams including the final. She gives A TON of extra credit opportunities, and, if that wasn't enough, she lets you drop an assignment in every category: exams, quizzes, in-class assignments, etc. You learn a lot from this class and get an easy A.
Great Professor . If you come to class and read all her lecture notes you should have no problem passing the class.
I definitely recommend Professor Smith. Exams are open note, plenty of extra credit, slides are posted online, and a few of your lowest grades are dropped. She made this class very easy.
Uses powerpoints to teach lectures, which you can tell she spends a lot of time on! Attendance is part of your participation grade. She explained things very well, and made concepts from book easy to understand. There are 4 exams including final and you can drop your lowest score. Reading quizzes every week, but overall a great class.
Ms. Smith an excellent professor, she really knows her stuff. Very helpful in any way possible. Makes herself available to all her students. She give lots of extra credit.
This class was so boring and she tried to be funny but she's not. After the first month or so I stopped going because all the quizzes and exams are done at home so things happen. I had an A from my grades but because of participation points it knocked me done to a B which is stupid. Lots of extra credit and multiple grades get dropped at the end.
I love Professor Smith, its just the coursework was hard for me!
Love the Professor and lots of extra credit.
Professor Smith's lectures are very interesting and helpful, but you can make your school day shorter by skipping them with no cost to your grade. There are a few assignments that must be completed in class, but the amount of extra credit offered allows you to easily make the points up. Just make sure you read your textbook!!
Professor Smith is awesome. She's very passionate about teaching and will go out of her way to help you understand the material. You just have to ask her and don't be shy. She makes the assignments and course material easier to understand. Put in the work and you will do good! Would recommend her to anyone wanting to take psychology!
Although attendance is not mandatory, points will be given for attendance. You should take all the points you can get.
She's very sweet. Very clear on assignments and willing to answer any questions.
A very sweet lady, lectures are long but help a lot. She works to help you succeed and definitely cares about you as an individual. Would def take her class again.
Professor Smith is an amazing professor and teaches the material in a clear and concise way. She drops a lot of grades so in the end, you can pass the class if you try every assignment.
Very caring, wants you to succeed. Lectures aren't boring but are given every class.
professor Smith cares about her classes. Easy A
I love her class! She is such a good teacher! All of her lectures are USEFUL and theyre not boring like most. Would definitely recommend her class.
She is very sweet. There is a lot of extra credit so if you do that you should be fine. Ask questions, she is there to help you. Participate. It matters in the end!
The professor is a solid teacher, lectures aren't boring, and there are many chances to bring your grade up. She teaches every subject in precise detail, so you really do learn the material well. Her tests are open note too, so that's just another plus. If you want an easy A and actually learn the material, then take her.
Ms. Smith is an amazing professor she knows how to make lectures and slides fun and make you be interactive with all the material that you are learning. she offers a lot of extra credit with really helps students who did int have a chance to do a module and you can also drop your lowest grade and she really cares about the student personally .
I really enjoyed taking her classes. She is really passionate about psychology and makes sure everybodys have loads of opportunities for great grades.
The class in general is pretty easy. The teacher offers lots of extra credit and is very helpful. Attendance is not mandatory but the material makes more sense if you show up. She does grade on participation for in class assignments, so that's another good reason to show up. She is a fair with her grades and I strongly recommend taking her class.
Highly recommended! She understands the life of a college student and is extremely flexible to all situations. She does not count attendyance for a grade, she drops your lowest grades on everything, and she is an extremely fun and engaging person. Great sense of humor and very much interested in the well-being of her students. Best teacher around.
She's awesome. She drops a lot of grades so if you miss a deadline you don't have to worry! and everything is online, even the exams. She posts her slides on canvas and lectures are super easy to follow. also she's really nice and will totally help you with anything you need! you only have to look out for the reading quizzes due every week
She's really good. Give up to 90 points extra points. Test online, quiz online. Open book, open note. As long as you make an effort to this class, you will be fine.
DO THE ONLINE WORK!!!
I enjoyed her class a lot. She made learning psychology fun and informative. I was fearful going into a psych course with no prior knowledge about the brain and the functions. but I'm very confident ending the semester soon knowing I learned something that I can keep with me for life and when I take the next step in my psych education. so take her
She is great, lot of extra credit and she drops a lot of bad grades at the end. Everything is online even the exams and they are all open book. She is always trying to make the class not boring and I like her videos and activities.
Professor Smith, she's a great professor that's caring and respectful toward all her students.
everything is on the slides for the exams. Prepare for all the other assignments beforehand.
Would be hard not to pass her class.
highly recommend!!!! Attendance isn't mandatory, (although you're given participation points) which is great if you're a working student and cant ALWAYS make it to class. As long as you read the chapters and take your own notes, you'll do great on the exams. There's a ton of extra credit too! It was refreshing taking this course.
She is really nice and explains everything very clear. Easy A if you actually put in the work and effort.
class is very easy and lots of extra credit.
She is an excellent professor and drops a few grades from each of her grading categories making it easy to get an A. Additionally, she puts loads of effort into each lecture presentation and creates a wonderful learning environment during lecture.
Accessible!!!
Shes best Professor Ive had in a while. Lectures are helpful and she gives extra credit. She wants you to pass, which is a good thing. Most professors dont care. Test are quite tough but, if you have your notes from the lectures and read them... Youll be fine! I recommend Kimberly Smith :)
This course is fascinating to learn about, but make sure to invest in getting a planner beforehand to jotted ALL of your assignments with their DUE DATES and make SURE to study/read each chapter in chunks WEEKS before the test/exam. Also, DON'T complete any work AT THE LAST MINUTE!
She makes PowerPoints really easy to understand , class goes at an easy pace, and Lorans of opportunities to increase your grade with many small assignments and extra credit too.
Professor Smith is a great professor, she teaches off a powerpoints that she posts online after she finishes the chapter. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. Participation is a grade so don't miss too much class. The class can be an easy- A if you do the work and show up.
I learned a lot in this class, and enjoyed listening to the lectures. Thank you!
Not alot of homework. All assignments except for participation activities are done outside of class. Beware of cell phone policy-NO phones or electronics. All notes sheets, which she gives you so you don't have to take notes, can be used on exams, quizzez, etc. Very sweet and helps you understand material
Professor Smith is a great professor. She breaks things down so it can be easier to understand. LOTS of extra credit opportunities. If you just pay attention to the material and be interested in it, you will pass this class. Thank you Professor Smith.
Professor Smith is the one to take. She breaks down the material and relates it to a daily-life encounter that will help you remember. Lots of extra credit, attendance doesnt matter, good amount of time for quizzes and exams, notes sheets that help you on tests, textbook online. NO PHONES!!!!
Professor Smith has a very good teaching style, the note sheets provided help a lot, you will have the opportunity to earn a lot of extra credit, and also do good on your tests and quizzes since they are all open book. The drop policy also helps a lot with your final grade.
One of the best professors Ive had. I really enjoy class and the atmosphere. I highly suggest that if you want to do well come to class and so all the work and also keep a notebook handy and write down everything and take notes this is the way I have passed this class and test.
Attendance is not mandatory but you won't be able to make up participation points (in-class activities that count towards your grade). Not a hard class. she provides many helpful options to help you understand what we are learning (ie. powerpoint slides, handout sheets, and videos) Overall good start for Psych majors.
Professor Kim offers to meet with students outside of class via appointment. Responds quickly to emails, answers questions you have in class, and if she doesn't know the answer she researches it. Reading quizzes over every chapter, four exams, video quizzes, plenty of opportunity for extra credit, and a few other assignments. Do the work to pass.
Professor Smith is a good teacher but she does lectures every class with slides and a few activities which can get old fast. She has extra credit built into every chapter, her slides get posted after every week and she makes note sheet which are great for review. So as long as you pay attention and review before a test you're fine, a lot of reading
cares about and is very knowlegable about what she teaches, a lot of extra credit assignments, tests can be a little over the top.
good teacher, i didnt care for the slides she posted but her class was pretty easy if you payed attention
She uploads all of her slides, gives extra credit, strict on cell phones.
She is very nice and this class is easy to pass if you pay attention to her slides and note sheets. She is very funny and tries to make the slides funny with memes so you remember and pay attention more.
The class although fine, is quite boring. The lectures are practically read word for word from the slides and the material is posted online. Not really a reason to listen although attendance is graded. All tests are open note so its nearly impossible to not get an A unless you actively try not to. Show up, take tests at home with materials, A+.
She's a good prof. and her lectures are pretty good. She often does in-class activities and videos to help reinforce new concepts. Not too challenging though and you should be able to pass just fine if you get your studying done.
Great Professor and Great Class and lots of extra credit
This class does require a lot of reading for the reading quizzes and in order to do good on them you need to read the required readings even if some of them are long. Professor Smith is a really good professor and if you need help with anything all you have to do is tell her. Attendance doesn't matter but is needed to succeed. She is a good prof.
she's a really goood professor. she offers help outside of class for any students thats struggling and doesn't understand the class lectures we went over.
The class is pretty easy if you pay attention and show up to class. Most of the work is online and all the notes are posted online as well. She gives a lot of extra credit and drops low grades at the end of the semester so it's easy to bring your grade up in the class. Most of the class consists of discussions and slides but very interesting class.
show up to class and do the assignments and you will pass. the tests are very easy and at home online. gives soooo much extra credit. repeats herself a lot and just sits and reads powerpoint.
I went everyday in the beginning, now theres like 5 weeks left & the past few weeks I havent been going tbh. I don't like her class at all & I'm really into psych. I don't care for the way she teaches, and if youre like me, ADHD or get bored easily, get ready to doze off or float in space. I will stand by one thing, she gives a bunch of extra edit.
Class is easy to pass, as long as you have the note sheets. Also, she's highly against electronics, so just keep them in your backpack and everything will be fine!
This class is an easy A, as long as you have the note sheets for each chapter. PS: She's against electronics, so as long as you keep them up everything will be fine.
This teacher gives every student a chance to succeed in her class. She gives a lot of extra credit and if you actually do them you can end up with an A. Professor Smith is very understanding, but do not undermined her. Go to class and pay attention. Respect her and she will respect you.
super easy class. she gives note sheets and sends you the lecture slides. she gives out tons of extra credit. her class style is lectures and video watching and some group activities. she's against electronics and will confiscate them. also you need to let her know if u need to leave early which is odd bc u can't leave early if you feel like it.
VERY GOOD TEACHER. SHE IS THOROUGH IN HER LECTURES. PLEASE WATCH THE SLIDES AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE SYLLABUS, THERE IS ALWAYS AN ASSIGNMENT DUE AND THERE IS ALWAYS EXTRA CREDIT TO HELP WITH THOSE QUIZZES YOU MAY HAVE NOT SCORED YOUR BEST ON AS WELL AS YOUR LOWEST DROPPED. OVERALL, PRETTY DANG GOOD PROFESSOR.
Should not be thinking about taking PSY2012 with anyone else.
Class is structured & informative. Professor gives a lot of extra credit and it is impossible to fail her class. She allows you to drop your lowest score on a quiz and an exam. She is available for help anytime. She grades fair. You must read to pass reading quiz. Phones are not allowed during class (thank god) it is disrespectful and rude to all.
If you skip a few days you won't make it, lectures are important, hands down best PSY2012 class, just follow all the rules and you'll be fine.
Throughout the semester professor Smith was very engaged with our class. If you asked a question that they were unable to answer at the moment, they would take note of it and summarize their research for you next class. Honestly as a student you can tell when a professor truly loves their profession and cares for their students, and Smith does.
Professor Smith is by far one of the most caring professors I have ever had. She puts a lot of hard work in to making sure her students succeed in her class. She offers a ton of extra credit and is extremely detail oriented in her lectures. She responds to emails almost immediately. I am extremely impressed with the attention she gives her students
A lot of slides and power points in class but keeps them interesting and is really nice. A large amount of extra credit throughout the year. Professor is very nice and has an incredibly thorough syllabus and guidelines. Definitely recommend.
Mrs. Smith is super cool! really laid back and chill. she does not make you buy the textbook. if you are looking for a fun and casual class, pick her. if you have to pay more than 300 on this class and expect more and a harder class, I would not recommend. however, if you want a casual and easy class, she's your teacher.
Pay attention to her instructions at the beginning of the course for how to do modules in Canvas, keep up with due dates, and pay attention - this class is an easy A. Personally, I love this professor. She's very clear, gives plenty of reminders, and I can tell she puts a LOT of work into her class and cares about her students.
One of the things that I enjoy the most about this class is how clear and dedicated the professor is to give accurate, up to date, and useful information to the class. She makes it a priority to recap the class at the beginning of her lectures, gives fair assignments, and provides lots of interesting videos. She also gives lots of extra credit too.
I would gladly take this class again Professor Smith is very informative, and keeps her lecture entertaining while still providing all of the information. She also gives lots of extra credit and other assignments to help your grade.
Ms. Smith cares about her students and their grades. If you miss a lecture (lecture notes) she will happily email you the guided notes that you missed. She has guided notes for every lecture she does. Ms. Smith is also generous with extra credit. This class doesn't have projects or any papers.
Great and simple class. Very straightforward with no mandatory attendance. Super chill teacher with a great mind for psychology.
Not intense, but you still learn a lot .
Just try to stay on top of due dates, also keep all notes handed out of class.
Prof. Smith is very passionate and knowledgeable about her field. She respects her students and is very reasonable and fair. She is clear in her explanations and what her objectives are for each lesson. She is very professional and organized. She is very approachable and is available outside of class. I highly recommend you to take your class.
-This class is very interesting to learn about - There is a lot of extra credit which helps a lot - It has a very good amount of participation activities - I like how all of our work and notes is accessible online - grading can be confusing at times but its easy to manage - I like how the professor drops our lowest grade in each category
I really enjoyed the class . She doesnt give busy work. Instead she gives work that helps you better understand the concept that she is teaching. She is sweet and very understanding. Participation isnt required but you could miss an assignment that is essential to your grade. Lots of extra credit and she drops assignments so overall good class.
The course is definitely informational. The best way to stay on track is learn everything before the lectures in my personal opinion. No devices are allowed so keep in mind to always have pen and paper. Lots of extra credit which helps as there is a bit of activities, quizzes, participation, and etc. Id say an average difficulty, very nice lady.
Great teacher and easy class just be prepared for the NO CELLPHONE or electronics policy.
Great Professor and open to students perspectives to help with passing. She assigns a good amount of assignments but if you stay on top you'll be fine. The reason I rated a 4 and not 5 is because of how much excess information is provided on the slides. Our first exam covered over 500 slides.. she lets you use them but it felt overwhelming.
Professor smith is extremely understanding. If you have a job or children she understands if you need to miss class. She makes sure you know exactly what she expects from you. She has a strict no phone policy, tons of extra credit, and provides you with slides and lecture notes. All tests are open note and open slides.
Mrs. Smith is a good professor, she teaches at a great pace not to fast not to slow. Do not have to make every class but would try to make most of them. Also do the extra credit.
This was an easy class that had a very clear path throughout the weeks. You don't need to do any extra studying for the exams or classes and as long as you show up and do the work you should make an A.
She is a very good prof. Explains lectures very clearly and gives a lot of extra credits. She gives quick feedback
I really like the way Professor Smith has her class and materials set up. She doesn't let you use electronics in class, unless it's an emergency, but you shouldn't be doing that anyways. She gives fun lectures and lots of extra credit opportunities.
very good class. i would 100 percent take it agin. she is a very clear teacher and gives lots of extra credit. there is no reason not to get an A
Really caring instructor, goes out of her way to make sure you succeed in her class. Phones and laptops are strictly banned but attendance isn't mandatory (she does do in class assignments & video quizzes sometimes though that can't be made up later). LOTS of extra credit opportunities. Exams are online. She gives access to the book online for free
(Summer B) Overall one of the best professors I've had, she sends out reminders which are truly helpful and genuinely cares, responds in a timely manner with solutions. As long as you read what she assigns, the class is an easy A. Tons of extra credit.
Shes really nice and graded really quickly. I passed with a 98. As long as you do the reading and watch the videos, you will get an A.
Amazing professor. 10/10
Smith was an awesome teacher! She had really good powerpoint and lecture notes for every module. She does open note tests every time and always has extra credit as an option! I loved her and would definitely recommend her!
This class was an easy A with not a lot of reading or studying. She gives you good notes to prepare you for the testing and assignments.
Professor Smith is really helpful and nice. She gives in-depth answers to all of your questions and her PowerPoints and other class materials are really clear and useful. All quizzes are open-book and she offers tons of extra credit. I really enjoyed this class and felt that it was pretty easy with a moderate effort investment (summer, online).
MAKE SURE YOU TAKE ALL EXTRA CREDIT YOU CAN GET!!! It is totally worth it and you will get an A in the class EASY.
I really learned a lot and enjoyed this class. Took her class online and she assigned a lot of very helpful videos that were interesting and kept my attention. She even tells you which videos are for better and understanding and which videos you better watch. Prof. Smith was a very fast responder and you can tell she cares about her students.
Nice person but better off with a different professor. She has over 100-200 slides for each module and her tests are only 60 minutes which is not a lot of time to go over PowerPoints or notes in short amount of time. I always end up missing a few questions due to short amount of time on her tests though its open book.
Professor is available when she says she is and responds to inquiries in a timely manner. Lots of textbook reading. Assignments are extremely detailed. Very helpful with reminders regarding quizzes/exams. Critical Thinking tests and Exams are tough, so studying is a must. Tons of extra credit is offered to help buffer your final grade.
Professor Smith is straightforward with her assignments. Give yourself enough time to read the chapters and go through her power point lectures and you'll do well in her class. She give lots of extra credit. I would highly recommend her for psychology.
This class is an easy A if you study for the test! The test are not proctored but wasting time to find answers online could be time consuming. Everything is open notes! PLENTY of EASY EXTRA CREDIT which always helps! 10/10
