Great teacher very understanding. Take him he's easy and very nice. He makes classes fun and you will cover a lot of material but it will be fun.

He is a good teacher except for the fact that he does not TEACH! We spend over 20-40 minutes talking about off-topic things. When it gets to the power point section it's very dull and information is barely given. I studied for a section and on the test I got the exact opposite. If I pass this class it'd be a miracle. Other assignments are easy tho.

Prof Ragland was by far the best prof I have taken yet at Valencia. He made US GOV completely easy to understand and interesting as well. We never ever used the textbook, everything he teaches and tests us on is straight from his power point. He does grade on attendance and participation, so go to class, talk a little and pass with an easy A!

Professor Ragland is amazing! If you fail his class it is simply because you didn't show up, participate or do your part in the two group projects. His class is seriously a breeze course and he keeps it entertaining. I would take him again and again. No need to purchase the book either

Professor Ragland is such an awesome professor. I did not know much about American Government, but with him I definitely learned so much. He's very patient and understanding. Although the course was 8 weeks and everything was crunched in so little time, his work is straight forward and very easy to do. I wish I had him for all my classes!

He is as so easy you would feel like you are in high school. i would take him a billion times over and over again!!

If you just do the work and some what pay attention to the class, you'll get an easy A. He's really cool and will help you with anything in or out of class.

Prof Ragland was one of the best professors I believe ever had. He tells you what to expect with no surprises. Group projects are super easy, as long as you work together and papers are only one page summaries of a documentary watched in class. You don't need the book. I survived a flex course with out it. Just study his power point and the dates.

TAKE HIM! super easy grader.. He gives study guide for quizes and exams study them!! I failed an exam a quiz and the final, I didn't study well and still finished with a high B.. He gives you 100s on film analysis and group projects if you put in effort.. He is HILARIOUS! I took him for the fast pace coarse and it was EASY! Don't buy the book !!!

Best Class I've taken so far. Flex Class SUPER EASY as long as you pay attention you should pass. Tons of extra credit opportunity if you need it. 3 film analysis 2 group projects 3 exams 2 quizzes. class participation is required. Book recommended but not required.

Ragland is one of the best professors I've ever had. He's really there for you and genuinely cares for his students to succeed in his course and in life. At the very last class he even offered to write recommendations in case anyone needed. Everyone participated and If you study and memorize the important information given on the slides, you pass.

Gives all of the test and quizzes from the study guide powerpoint he makes. There are film that are watched in class, write a summary easy points. Did not use the book once. There are 2 group projects. One are the projects has a presentation. Best professor I have had.

Prof Ragland is a pretty good teacher, he's funny, he gives good examples, and his class isn't that hard. I only got a C because of the final, which isn't really his fault, he can't just give away credits. The homework amount is average, or below average if anything. Most of the material on the textbook is on the power points too.

EASY A,,,,there's 2 film analysis 1 big project that is 25% percent of your grade. He's very understanding, he'll work with you. He let you voice your opinion. DON'T BOTHER buying the book quizzes and test are from the powerpoints and he post them on blackboard.

I was in Professor Ragland's flex start class, but based on my experience, I wish I would've taken the full course. He gives excellent lectures and encourages discussion among the students, which helps us gain a better understanding of the subject. I would definitely recommend taking his course.

Everything that you will need for tests and quizzes can be found in the PowerPoint that he uses for lectures. This professor is by far my favorite. Extra credit is an option and he is very understainding if you need to miss a class. You won't want to miss one though. Never a dull moment. Would take this class again in a heartbeat!

He has a three strike rule policy for attendance. Have 2 quizzes, 2 test, 2 video analysis, and an exam. Not a hard class at all.

So funny and sweet. He's younger so he's more easily relatable to the students. Doesn't call on students but will grade you on participation so it's up to you when you want to talk. His projects and fun and interactive, tests come directly from the PowerPoint presentations.

History was never my best subject in highs school. This teacher by far made it fun for me and I was able to speak my opinion about politics. He's super cool and if I can have him all year long I would definitely pay for his classes even if it's out of pocket. Just participate and if you have concerns dont worry all he say is "you'll be fine"lol

An amazing professor. For a person not really into politics like myself , he definitely made it interesting . Watch out for a group project towards the end of the course. Other than that, there are a few quizzes, tests, and film papers that you have to do which aren't that hard to pass. Would take him again if the opportunity takes place .

Class is fairly easy. There's one group project/presentation at the end of the semester. He doesn't force you to participate, but he grades participation. He's easy going and presents the class materials on Powerpoint mostly. He gives extra credit, but you wouldn't need it.

Really easy lectures, pay attention and right down specifics then it's easy to pass the tests. He makes himself laugh and will laugh at just about anything a student says. Really laid back with class, lets people go back and forth with debates. Gives opportunity for extra credit and doesn't grade hard.

Excellent professor. He enjoys the subject which makes the learning process seamless. He is very clear on his expectations and outlines the material that will be covered on the test. If you just listen during the lectures and actually pay attention - you will pass. Very minimal studying needed - he makes learning that easy. He explains very well.

Profe Ragland is honestly the best, I took him for POS2041 & POS 2112. His class isn't boring like the typical history classes, he ensures that we're all engaged by having class discussions on the topics we cover in class everyday. Make sure to participate at least once in class, study the PowerPoint & group project & you'll definitely get an A.

He is such a funny and cool guy because we basically have in class conversations about different things and he makes it relatable to the stuff we are learning. Only one group project and one quiz, no tests. He is a really chilled professor too so you have to take him because he is just awesome.

I thought, listened, and was engaged in this class more than any other. Ragland is fascinated by the conversation of students and is passionate about us learning through discussion. Professor Ragland is the greatest! He genuinely listens to every word you have to say. He makes you want to come to class. Discussions, one group project, and a few quizzes is what this class consists of. He jokes around and makes class fun while we are learning. He knows his stuff. Definetly recommend!!!

Super easy to pass. Interesting for a government class. Take him online, you won't be sorry.

Online class consists mostly of discussions, plus short papers and a couple multiple choice quizzes/tests. Write a full paragraph for the discussions instead of a meager sentence to get a good grade. Only drawback was he did not respond to messages in the course and students were frequently confused as to where to find course materials or submit.

Professor Ragland is the best professor ever. His lectures are great, if you do not like government or can't understand it you will after taking him . There are 3 exams counting the final plus 2 quizzes. He gives a review for each exam, and quiz . Also he is always there for his students and he id hilarious. Take him you will not regret it.

He will spring some homework assignments on you, but they are super easy to do and guaranteed an A on those assignments. The class is always super fun and great to go to. At least for my class, he always let us out early. He always makes class enjoyable by asking our opinions and displaying videos. I would 100% take him again.

Professor Ragland is great! Took him for U.S. Government and for State and Local Government. He's passionate about what he does and super cool and funny. Professor Ragland is incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about the subject. He is very respectful of different opinions so dont be scared to speak up. Class engagement is key for a productive class, otherwise you'll be a bit bored. Grades within a week. Few assignments, with one group presentation for the final.

Easiest A! You get 2 excused absences, after that he will start to take off points each time you don't show up to class. There's a quiz, a midterm paper, and a presentation which are done in group. The final is a 6 page analysis paper based on a current issue (education, abortion, etc). Everything is super easy just go to class and you will pass.

This is the easiest class ever and the professor is hilarious, take it if you want an A .

Best professor ever!! I took him for peace studies and also took him for state and local government. he is very passionate and the class discussions are fun there are 4 essays and 1 final in the peace studie class and a final exam in the state and local goverment.

I took this course as an elective in the Fall of 2019 and let me tell you this class was by far my favorite. This class talks a lot about other nations, our relation to them, global aspects etc. Overall this was a fun and easy course, only a few discussions in canvas, a mid term paper and a final project. Very interactive, 10/10

He is one of the best professors ive had the privilege of taking at Valencia College. I took him for Government and S&L Government. He's amazing and makes sure you understand the material. The in class discussions really engage everyone and i always felt my views were respected and it was a safe environment. I recommend him to EVERYONE.

The class is very easy. There are 10 discussions, two quizzes, and two module exams. he makes his own questions so watch his powerpoint lectures. A final paper and final group project but isn't a strict grader.

I had a mess of a situation with my textbook but he was kind and supporting me regardless. Class material is fun to learn about - especially if you like social justice. 6 discussions, 6 reflections, midterm paper and final group project.

Professor Ragland was extremely understanding with late work if you have a reason. There were two textbooks, but we mainly worked out of one. The classwork is mostly reading and writing discussion posts, as well as watching some videos (all very interesting!) and the written homework assignments. He was not tough on grading! Take the class!!

Prof Ragland is a great lecturer; which was appreciated in an online course. His use of canvas is an opportunity. Weekly modules are confusing and not well organized. Thankfully the course is so easy it doesn't get in the way. Few assignments, lots of check-ins, and is very available to answer questions. I opened my textbook once.

Professor Ragland was a great professor! I took a flex class online and I didn't find there were many assignments. A quiz every week that has unlimited re-take, a couple reflection papers, & 2 exams that are writing a paper open book. Grades for completion. Rated a 4 not a 5 bc I felt the modules were a little unorganized. Responds to emails fast.

He is an amazing professor and his class is great. He's also funny. He responds to your questions whenever you ask. Whenever there is an assignment that you have trouble with, you can give him an e-mail and send what you have to him and he'll give you good feedback. He makes his students better because he cares about them and how he teaches.

5 reflection essays (600 words), 1 discussion, PowerPoint project, and midterm and final paper which are all very easy and don't necessarily require the textbook. He grades fast, his assignments are straightforward, and he is responsive if you have any questions. the writing prompts are easy and i def recommend this prof

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Omg I love him with all my heart. His lectures are super interesting and super interactive. You can speak your own political values as long as you're respectful. He's really funny and caring and you're graded on a reflection each week which he talks about in class. He's really lenient with grading. I've taken him three times.

Extremely down to earth professor, funny and relatable. Easy A, if you are looking for that. Never bought the textbook and finishing with a 95+. Definitely recommend.

He's a good guy, respectful to his students and entertaining to listen to. He can make certain topics more interesting than they would be and its an easy class, never needed the textbook but did need to do a little bit of background reading. Even with that it was an easy A so yeah go for his class.

This is one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. The textbooks have useful information but you don't need to buy them at all. Professor Ragland was very flexible and understanding after the hurricane which made this class a breeze. Not a tough grader at all! Take this class for an easy A.

Very easy and deeply engaging class. Students are encouraged to engage during lectures so it all feels like a conversation and not a boring monologue. Assignments are very easy and not harshly graded at all. Pretty much just five 600 word Reflections, a PowerPoint, and a final paper (you can copy/paste half of your already written reflections).

Professor Ragland is so interactive and cool!! We only had 2 module exams, 4 quizzes, 1 paper, 1 group activity, and 2 reflections. Every lecture was more of a conversation than a lecture and he was so deeply knowledgable yet relatable in every discussion. Get prepared to laugh and learn about history and today's culture.

I would def recommend to take him,he was such an easy grader. He replies to messages fast and always help with any confusion. All the assignments were 600 word reflections on what we learned that week.The final was to write 5-7 pgs. but you can use 1 of your previously written reflections which gave you about 1-2 pgs. You wont regret taking him!

Professor Ragland was amazing and very flexible, his relaxed teaching style will put you at ease. You learn what you need to know to pass the FL Civics exam which is a state requirement for all undergraduates. Also, if you had questions he was a zoom or phone call away. His academic background explains his ability to be a supportive source.

I only have good things to say about Ragland. He was my first course as a dual enrollment student and I continued to take him for other classes as well. I still show up to his lectures sometimes just to hear whats new. He's very easy going and not a tough grader, barely any work and very interesting discussions in class.

Professor Ragland is an easy grader. Later in the semester, he dedicated a week for missing assignments to be turned in. There's a final project that is worth a large portion of your grade. Overall: an easy class.

Professor Ragland was a good professor, but his class is very lecture heavy with few tests/exams. The exams and projects are research based and don't necessarily apply what we learned in class. The class easily gets off topic and most of the learning is done outside of class on your own time. Overall, it was a relatively easy class.

His lectures are very hands-on, energetic, and engaging; he tells things as they are, and he's quite funny. He is very outspoken about what he believes is right, which is something I appreciated & respected of him. Very respectful, cool guy. The workload is light & easy to do if you take advantage of the time he provides. Will be taking him again.

AMAZING CLASS. took it mixed mode. every week there is an asignment where yiou have to write around 2 paragraph. the class is interesting and set up where he gives info and then there is a class discussion but participation is optional. He is cool on would definetly recomend his class.

i sometime s wished he gave some feedback bc i would put my whole soul into an exam and not even one comment (i thrive in academic validation) but he's good overall, easy quizzes from time to time and the tests are papers which are easy too. final was a group project but it was cake ngl

Professor Kinyel does a great job at getting the class to engage with each other, I enjoy this class because of that. You get one writing assignment a week which is pretty easy and he is an easy grader. I have a 100% with little effort. If you miss an assignment, just email him asking for an extension and he'll give you full credit. Easy professor.

I wish I can choose more tags aside from amazing lectures, inspirational, and respected. Know that Professor Ragland is equally hilarious, caring, has clear grading criteria, gives opportunities for extra credit, is online savvy, and grades by a few things! hes the chillest prof ive ever taken! i ended w a 99% only cuz i didnt submit one assignment, or else it wouldv been 100%. he kinda gives free 100s on everything as long as u follow all the criteria correctly. so funny and talkative in person, sweet, understanding, and jokes around a lot while also managing time well. also discussions were amazing!

Professor Ragland makes this class fun and engaging. Attendance is required, but the light workload and interesting discussions make it worthwhile. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for exam prep - definitely recommend using it alongside the textbook.

Impressive guy and very understanding. Very project and writing heavy, which drove me nuts. Pretty strict about getting things done as well. My internet went out, so I couldn't submit my final project, but he was about to understand when I provided proof and gave me an A for the project. If you're a hard worker, definitely take him.

It looks like he has two profiles on RMP the other profile is showing low scores but this semester it was 5 reflections, 1 midterm and1 final paper. The reflections are based on what you read and your reflection on the subject. I don't think it was a hard class and I hate writing papers. I would take him again if he keeps what he is doing now.
