How is her Principles of Bio course? I had Dr. Ashley, never take him, he's sooo hard. I had her for Bio 102, she was great. Input anyone?

Why aren't there more professors like Dr. Misra? I got most out of her class than most of my classes.

She is Awesome! Take her for all the classes you can get! She is always in a good mood and always very personable! A great teacher!!!

I love Dr. Misra. She is one of the best bio teachers on this campus. I had a bad experience with bio my first semester here and when I had to re-take it, she was so helpful! She is very understanding and super nice!

Fantastic professor! I wish there were more courses she taught. Obviously the previous person failed the course to give such poor ratings. If you just come to class and listen, you will learn so much and pass easily.

Dr. Misra is my mom...In the university of life, she's the best professor i've ever had, and has taught me more valuable lessons than anyone else (although she probably thinks that they go in one ear and out the other). I recommend taking her classes--i've heard her tests are fair and classes fun.

A fabulous woman, as well as adept teacher. She has a contagously positive/compassionate attitude. Would recommend her to anyone.

An excellent professor, very generous with her time. Always available during office hours or after class. Makes excellent use of technology in the classroom setting. She will let you view the powerpoint slides in her office...you just have to know where it is and go. Allows makeup tests! Dr. Misra puts the Class in classroom.

Obviously another fault of hers is having students that are bitter compulsive liars. Anyone who has a problem with this class is an absolute moron. Look at the older ratings, they're true.

Great prof. Does whatever she can to give you extra points. Wants to help you do well. If you do the work you get a good grade. So complainers, quit your whining and do some work. This is college not elementary school.

If you need to take priciples of bio, you can't go wrong taking Dr. Misra. The course was more in depth than I thought but Dr.Misra gives you multiple ways and opportunites to excel. She will do go out of her way to help a student do well. Dr. Misra is passionate about bio and it shows.

I thought this class was initially boring and cheesy, however, misra grew on me by the end of the semester. sure, the concepts are boring and the class drags on...but in the end I came to like misra and she really helped me to do well in the class

Dr. Misra is very sweet and intelligent. The material gets pretty difficult, but she will break concepts down so they are easier to understand. She's very down-to-earth, offers a lot of extra credit, and is one of the best teachers I've ever had!

Fantastic woman, does not make you feel stupid, doesn't act superior. Study for the tests, they can be tricky. Alot of good info, you don't have to be "into science" to take the class. She will make you understand it.

Great teacher, extremely helpful. Her tests are pretty hard if you aren't used to studying bio. There are a lot of concepts you must memorize, but she does a lot to help you. A lot of extra credit opportunity's, and even takes students recommendations for extra credit. Though class is all about taking notes, its interesting and good info to know.

Very clear, polite, intelligent, and passionate professor. Make sure you don't miss class, do homework, print out the notes, read the book, do the exercises in the book, and take the online tests and this class is an ABSOLUTE BREEZE. Most students taking the class will fail, so if you're not a serious/interested student than avoid this class.

Good professor, highly recommend for environmental biology. Test were easy as long as you took good notes. Pay attention to what she says and what is on the board and you will do well.

If any student complains about Dr. Misra's class. The problem is on the student's end! She tells you excactly what to expect on a test or quiz and gives a lot of extra credit. Going to class and taking notes will earn you a B. A little effort......A.

Had her for Env. Bio. if you are an Env or Bio major I would suggest someone else (I didn't really learn much). If it's just a class you need for w/e reason, she is a fantastic professor. Class can be dry at times but it was super easy and she'll tell you exactly what you need to get an easy A.

This class was great. It is for non-biology majors and Dr. Misra presented the material at a level that us non-science majors could understand. I always hated chemistry and never understood anything. Dr. Misra made it so easy and actually interesting. I am so aware of my environment and how we're destroying thanks to Dr. Misra. I will do my part!

She was extremely straight forward as to what was needed to succeed in her class. She had very clear lectures and often related the material to a common real life scenario. If anyone did poorly in her class it was because they didn't pay attention or didn't come to class. Especially with her opportunity to earn extra credit.

Dr. Misra did a wonderful job of making the subject matter as clear and relatable as possible. All her Powerpoints are available for download and she will never put any surprises on tests. They are hard, but she will tell you exactly what will be on them and what to study. Lab classes were interesting, though group work is required.

I'm not really a biology person, so this class was pretty difficult for me. I would consider it a weed-out course. However, she will explain concepts in the simplest way she can think and often includes videos. I highly recommend reading the book. She's very willing to help you out if you come to her.

Failed this class with two other professors. Couldn't understand anything they taught. Dr. Misra made sense from day one. She explains things so well and doens't talk down to us. Makes us feel like we count. Labs were fun but write ups were tough. Quizzes were tough too but we were told exactly what would be asked. I have now become a bio major.

I love her I hated science before I took her and I honestly think if I would have had her in high school I would of loved science a long time ago! this woman makes it very easy for you to understand and comprehend everything! She's a good professor. Lectures can get boring at times, but the material isn't hard to understand, and she explains things clearly. Exams aren't too bad as long as you study, plus there are extra credit opportunities and easy online quizzes that can boost your grade.

I highly recommend taking her online genetics class! There are 4 exams and 4 quizzes that are straight from the book and power points. There were also weekly discussions and case studies which were all easy points. TAKE THIS ONLINE!!!!This is an easy A that won't take much of your time, but you still learn a lot.

Dr. Misra is an absolutely brilliant professor. She can explain difficult topics in short sentences, which really goes to show how much she understands it. She's incredibly understand and so approachable - I wish I could take her for every class!!! What a wonderful woman!

Dr. Misra requires more outside work than the other professors who teach 150. You have weekly online quizzes, write ups, and lab quizzes. But extra work extra points. Most online tests and write ups are easy 10/10s. If you're not afraid to work at it, she's a wonderful prof. She doesn't let you just "slide by." I would take her again.

I was hesitant in taking this class because I'd heard Dr. Misra is tough. I now realize she has to be because many of us are pre-med and if you can't do well in this class, you don't belong in med school. She's a fantastic professor, really smart and cares for her students. She goes the extra mile to help her students. A definite must take.

Dr Misra gives us D2L quizzes for every chapter we cover. I didn't like this in the beginning but now I realize it forces us to study and is an easy way to get an A. Exams are from her lecture and power point. If you don't do well in this class it's your own fault. She is always willing to get together even outside of office hours . Great prof!

Her class was a little rougher that I was expecting, but if I would've studied more thoroughly for the exams then I know I would've done much better! She's a very nice person and is incredibly helpful. She is always available if you have questions. There are weekly quizzes and lab write ups which help keep your grade up!

I'm taking Prin of Biol right now. It's a really tough class. I thought the medical field was for me. Dr. Misra is an excellent professor and has helped me realize that my strength is not in Biology. I'm switching to Psychology. I just hope my future professors are as great as Dr. Misra. She's not only super intelligent but also a fantastic person.

I went into this class knowing it would be tough and it was. It is a weed-out class for biology majors. If you struggle here there's no way you'll pass any other bio class. Dr. Misra is fantastic and helped me out of office hours. People who don't put in the time and effort complain all the time. The chapter quizzes helped prepare for the exams.

I'm currently taking the online summer 104 class and it is a lot of work as expected. Not being a science major, the class is very challenging and out of my league. Dr. Misra has been incredibly helpful and understanding. She has given me more guidance in studying than I ever expected from a professor. I'm doing well only because of her guidance.

Dr. Misra really knows her stuff and she does her best to communicate it the class. If you don't understand something you can go visit her during her office hours and she will help you out to the best of her ability. Her class is definitely something you have to put extra time and work into. It was rough but worth it.

Dr. Misra is a professor who definitely knows her field. Her tests are lecture based, and can include lab lectures, and she gave quizzes in her labs. Also had interesting things to add to her lectures to help you remember the details. I would take her again if possible.

I took this class last semester and was totally prepared for my next class. Dr Misra is so intelligent and presents the lecture so we can understand it. She really cares about her students. Gave probably 40 points worth of bonus through the semester. Without the bonus, I would've had a C but finished with an A. The quizzes and discussion questions are easy points and help you learn the material. Lots of work for a 3 credit class.

I just finished taking this online summer class. Lots of work but were given a whole week to finish the work due. Excellent power points. Quiz/exam questions straight from power points. Discussions and case studies easy 100%. Good feedback and thankful for reminders of work deadlines. No excuse not to do well. Took 2 online classes with Dr . Misra.

My second course with Dr Misra. She's a great professor and she's super smart. Gives students respect and treats them well. She always went out of her way to make sure I did well. Weekly lab quizzes helped me study and pull up my grade. Lecture was tough. I failed the first exam but knew there were 3 more so I could pull my grade up. A+ professor!

Professor Misra is a very good professor. Don't get me wrong, her course is tough if you don't pay attention. I am a business major with no science background and still did well. She is very smart and will help you if you need it. She has very high expectations for everyone in her class and doesn't tolerate any funny business.

I have Dr. Misra for lab. I wish I had her for lecture as well. Shes amazing! Ive learned so much in lab. Yes, we do have a lot of lab write ups but thats for our benefit. Helps us improve our grade and study for the lab quiz. I wish she taught more classes.

I absolutely adore this woman. She's so kind and caring. I love that what she says during lecture actually goes along with her power points and it makes it easier to study. While the course itself is difficult, she makes it enjoyable. Lab is a blast and she pokes and prods at herself while still teaching. She's truly amazing.

I am in 150 right now and it's a great class. We have online D2L quizzes after each chapter covered. The questions are from the lecture in class and the power points. Listen and pay attention in class and you'll get 100%. I love both the lab and lecture so far. I'm learning so much and am looking forward to the rest of the semester.

I'm a nursing major who's been away from academia for a while. Dr. Misra has made this class so interesting and so easy to follow. Complex material are so well explained. It's obvious she's very knowledgeable and intelligent, yet she's able to explain things at our level so clearly. I don't know how I'll do in this class but I will learn a lot.

Dr. Misra is incredibly intelligent & is a great professor. She is very clear about what she expects of you, and will outright tell you that she will pull questions from the text book on quizzes. This class requires a lot of time and effort, but is super easy other than that. Very down to earth and kind.

I'm taking 104 online during the winter session. Dr. Misra gives us a calendar with all the activities listed per day with all the deadlines. I turn my case studies in early and she gives feedback allowing us to correct our answers and resubmit. She keeps track of our performance and answers questions promptly. So many chances given to do well.

Dr. Misra is so kind. This semester was online, labs were in person every other week. She is so passionate about teaching, and is by far the most approachable professor I have taken so far at Edinboro. She really wants you to succeed. The class is tough, but there were lots of extra credit opportunities. I would definitely take her again.

Lectures are very good. Provides lots of examples and points out several items that will be on tests. Tests are not easy, but pay attention to lectures, study the notes and you will do well. Ample opportunity for extra credit. Seems to genuinely care about the students. Labs themselves good, but the quizzes on them were difficult.

Dr. Misra was a great professor! She always answered my emails in a timely manor. She was very positive, intelligent, and helpful. She definitely cares about her students and their success. There is a lot of work in her class but its college so be ready to work. She grades fairly and by the end of the course you feel like youve really learned.

Know the ins and outs of the powerpoints and you'll do fine on the exams. I personally never used the textbook because she said that the exam is based on the powerpoints. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities that are either in lab quizzes or exams themselves and the opportunities not related to tests are really easy.

Professor Misra was by far my favorite professor this semester. Her exams are exactly what is on the powerpoints, so you know exactly what to study. Plus this semester there were over 50 points in bonus available. Labs are easy, and usually you get out early. Class isn't "mindblowing" exciting, but at least she doesn't put me to sleep.

She very clearly sets her grading standards but is very accommodating if you work with her. She'll offer you plenty of ways to try and improve your grade, and she is very good at communicating outside of class. If you pay attention in class, take decent notes, and rely heavily on her PowerPoints, you'll be fine.

Dr. Misra's dedication to her students' success was a source of motivation for me! I wish more professors were like Dr. Misra. I finished with the highest grade in her class above all my others, and could not have done it without Dr. Misra! The same vengeful student wrote the last 2 posts to vent against Dr. Misra. She failed all 4 exams.

She was such a great professor. She really knows her material and knows how to teach well. Its hard at the beginning because you really need to know the material for the tests. She has many things graded so if you do bad on one assignment its not a big deal. Labs are so fun, loved her class. Take her if you can!!

I adore Dr. Misra. Her lectures actually make sense. STUDY! Her exams are hard but if you understand the content and ask questions you should be fine. There are SO many bonus opportunities, so you can always bounce back if you fail an exam. There are lab quizzes every week, which aren't the worst but the homework assignments she gives are difficult

She's tough and so is the class, but hey that's bio for a non-bio major. Deadlines are not flexible, but when I mentioned personal issues, she held me after class to check in. Some teacher in movies stuff right there. Work hard and learn a lot, but she is an incredibly kind & knowledgeable human.

Dr. Misra was amazing! There are four exams (including the final which is not cumulative). There are lab quizzes and reports every week, but they are not too bad. She is very understanding if you miss class, just send her an email. The class isn't easy, you definitely have to study and put in work but she is a great professor and easy to learn from
