She is a very nice lady. In class all she does is read off of the powerpoints that she posts online so it is not hard to get the material. Attendance is not mandatory. Only 6 quizzes and 3 tests.

She is the reason I fell in love with accounting. The class is NOT a breeze, but if you do what she asks you to do..its hard not to get an A. LOTS of curves, on everything and some bonus points. Having a hard time? GO TALK TO HER. So helpful especially when its one-on-one. Just do what she says. Only final was hard but curved so made an A!

The class is BORING if you have no interest in Accounting...which I didn't and still don't! It is NOT the professors fault that people received poor grades. I received a C because I didn't attend every lecture and I put the least amount of time into studying! You receive what you work for in her class..PERIOD! She is VERY HELPFUL!

It's not hard. The grading scale is really generous. Just do the homework, and either attend class or read the textbook and you'll be fine.

attendance wasnt mandatory, quizzes w/ solutions given the day before to study. exams werent that hard if you studied well. was available to answer questions b/f and after class. only down side, you couldnt really understand her at times but if you asked to clarify she would and give extra examples.

This professor is amazing. She will work with you whenever you need it (with prior notification), and she at least tries to make the lesson interesting. The closer you sit up front, the better. She'll respect that. Overall great professor. Be prepared to work. You won't just glide by in this class. If you're willing to work, you'll do fine.

She is a great teacher! She wants you to learn. This isn't a class you can just memorize things. You will have to put in work. The book is very helpful. Read the book and go over examples at the end of the chapter. Go over your notes,do homework assignements and you will be fine.

She is really nice and very helpful.Her tests are extremely hard. It consists of multiple choice question but all are concept based question. Even if you memorize all the pages from the textbook you will still end up doing poor if you don't know the concept. Exam reviews are useless. Slackers will struggle to get a C. Dr. Partha is friendly and helpful, although her lectures were very dry at times. I didn't think any of the assignments or tests were that difficult. You must read the textbook if you want to do well in her class.

Dr. Parthasarathy is a wonderful and enthusiastic professor, who is committed to her students. She is the department chair for financial accounting at UH, and has tons of real-world experience. It is true that her quizzes are more difficult than the other professors', but you will not find a more chipper/helpful prof than Dr. Partha!

She honestly cares about her students and if they understand the material. This class is not hard but you do have to practice what you did in class. Three exams plus a final that replaces the lowest exam. There is an internet project which was really easy. DO THE HOMEWORK! It really helps! There is a quiz every week or so.

There is a bit of a language barrier, but it helped me learn the material easier by having to focus on what she was saying. She is pretty clear when it comes to teaching difficult things, and is pretty helpful when it comes to answering questions.

It is important to understand that the nature of accounting is a difficult/confusing. So, many of my friends who took this course didn't do well, typically in range of C's & D's. But of those who took it with Kiran, including myself, there were more A's & B's. She is excellent in communicating the confusing numbers into terms that make real sense.

Dr. Kiran is an amazing professor. Even though accounting isn't a easy class, she makes sure everyone learns the material and goes in a pace where the whole class can understand the lectures. Even though there is somewhat of a language barrier, it isn't really difficult to understand what she's talking about. Definitely take her!

She is a very good professor, always ready to help out with any doubt, encourages people to participate in the class. Her class notes are fairly comprehensive. She is the best professor for accounting basics. Gives systematic instructions on how to get an A which makes it Easier. If you are taking Accounting , enroll in her class.

Dr. Parthasarathy is such a sweet professor. There is a language barrier but get over it, you're at a tier one university! To pass this class you really should attend class and sit at the front to get a good understanding. There are weekly quizzes, 2 tests, 2 projects and a final. Take her! Not an easy class but she makes it bearable!

Dr. P was a joy! Get over it, she has an accent. It wasn't that hard to understand her. The material itself is a bit tough, but going to class regularly and participating/asking questions will really help. She WANTS you to do well, so don't hesitate to stop her if you're confused. The quizzes really helped me understand concepts for the tests.

Her class was overall pretty simple, you need to do all the assignments and practice problems if you want to understand the material. She often has long, boring lectures but most of the time she gives useful information.

She's very sweet and cares about her students! The tests are curved and she does replace your lowest test grade with your final grade and she even drops your lowest quiz grade and replaces the 2nd lowest with your final grade. This is a tough class, but she got me to get an A! Do your homework and don't miss class, you'll be better off!

Great professor, just tough class material. Do all the assignments and show up than you should pass. This is not an easy class but it's because of the material and not the teacher. A lot of homework and three test with quizzes during class. The Final replaces lowest test grade and quiz average and is curved a lot.

Partha is a great teacher. The course material is not difficult, but if you are confused the accounting lab is a great resource.

Study the book assignments, keep up with the online homework and you're good to go. The final exam was cumulative and replaced your quiz average AND one of your two mid-terms (if your final grade is higher than either). Solid Prof.

Professor Partha is really dedicated to her students and she really did all she could to explain everything to us. I HIGHLY recommend taking her. She answered questions no matter what. Professor Parthasarathy is absolutely awesome professor! Her lectures are clear, interesting, very informative. Home work is due every week online; about 8 quizzes in semester (graded on 6 best results); 1 midterm, 1 final comprehensive. She explains everything and makes it easy to understand. Very knowledgeable about her subject. Loved her class!

She seems tough at first but eventually you'll find that she's a real sweetheart. She want's you to pass and as long as you read the chapters and do the homeworks you will. In both accountings I took with her there is a very generous curve on her final's so don't worry too much. Work hard, DO THE HOMEWORKS, and you'll be fine.

Dr. Partha is a fantastic professor and stresses on the intuition aspect of accounting which will help us build really strong basics for accounting. The tests are pretty staright forward covering all the things done in class. Also the final replaces the lowest grade which is a very good option. I would definately take her again.

I took Professor Partha for both Accounting 2331 and 2332. Professor Partha is an amazing professor and genuinely cares about her students success. She encourages students to visit office hours and to ask for help. I felt that Managerial Accounting (2332) was easier, attend class and take notes and you'll be fine. Take Partha, she is awesome!!!

Dr. Kiran is a good professor. She is very nice and helpful and genuinely wants her students to succeed. The class is kind of thought tho and her accent can make it a little hard to understand her. She respects her students and is there for them. And gives good curves on exams!

Prof. Partha explains every topic in detail/reviews it the next class day for clarity! She is super sweet and is always available for office hours for extra help! She also ties in "real-world" examples to class material, so it's understandable and relatable! At least 2 midterms and a final, clickers, HW's, and 2 projects. Read TB/notes, do HW A!

She's a good professor who wants her students to excel in the class. She's not lenient about late assignments and things like that, so you'll need to stay on point to do well in the class. There is a decent amount of homework, but they are helpful if you want to do well on the tests.

She is an amazing person. Down to earth and always there for her students. Her knowledge about the material is superb, but she cannot teach it as well. I made an A because the grading criteria is super chill. Easy A if you teach yourself some of it.

Professor Partha is one of the best at Bauer! She really cares about making her students succeed in ACCT. Exams are a little challenging, but that is accounting as a whole. Extremely well at explaining concepts. Grading is departmental and is in the students favor with no minus letter grades. Took her for both 2331&2332, definitely recommend!!

She's a great person/professor, I'm taking her again in Managerial Accounting. Tips to get an A: 1.) Show up to class, she goes over the material thoroughly, and there are daily clickers. 2.) ATTEND THE OPTIONAL STUDY SESSIONS, she gives hints on the exams and she goes over the practice problems related to the concurrent chapters.

I took both 2331 and 2332 with Parthasarathy and got A's in both classes. She answers emails on time. Her lectures are better than the textbook's explanation. Wileyplus homework can be quite hard. The tests are okay, not too difficult but you need to study for them. She has optional study sessions on Fridays. Go to class and do clickers.

Professor was very straightforward with everything. Same grading setup as 2331 is used. HW is online & simple if you show up to class. She has an accent so beware but she seems to care and works out homework problems in class. If you practice and memorize some formulas you should get an A. There's a budgeting project that she doesn't explain much.

She doesn't stick to her clicker schedule, it's random. Grading scale is set up the same as ACCT2331. Answers emails fast and reviews you for tests.

If you want an A, you need to read. ACCT 2331 - read the chapters for midterm 1. ACCT 2332 - read the chapters for midterm 1 and midterm 2. These classes (esp 2332) are not easy classes - you need to be responsible, keep up with the work, and make sure to read before coming to class/doing the practice tests BEFORE review day.

She is a great professor. I am not good in accounting, but her lectures are easy to understand. Plus she puts videos to help to get a better understanding of the subject. The grading scale is also pretty fair. Overall, a sweet and very helpful professor who wants her students to do well.

Her lectures are mandatory because you have to do clickers, but im pretty sure thats the situation across all 2331 classes. I honestly paid half attention in class. I already know im getting an A because ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS READ THE BOOK AND LISTEN TO HER ONLINE LECTURES LIKE 5 TIMES BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR TEST AND YOULL BE GOOD I PROMISE.

She is a good professor in the sense that she truly cares for her students success. Just try to pay attention to her lectures (she has clickers so attendance is mandatory) and listen to her youtube lectures if you dont understand something. She goes over tons of practice problems, always asks if you need help, has a review session before every exam and makes videos to better help you. Dr. Kiran is a very good professor, very knowledgeable about the subject. Homework due every week. Three major tests but she gives a little curve so you should be good. You need to show up to class for the clicker questions because they help on the exam.

Kiran is another great ACCT prof. @ UH. She truly cares about each student's success. Her lectures are helpful if you read before class. She makes lecture videos on the side that also help a bunch. Her lectures are interactive with practice questions which are nice! Clickers are done in class, and so be there! Don't give away easy points.

Took this class and ACCT 2331. I think 2332 is slightly harder, but not bad overall. You got Hw's(45 min), learnsmarts(30 min), and a project thingy (basically a longer version of a hw). Go to class to get clicker points and to learn the material. She frequently offers help to students, so if you're struggling don't hesitate to ask for help

She is extremely passionate about Accounting. I had her for financial and now for managerial. She wants all of her students to do extremely well, but you gotta work for it. She will not just hand you an A. She is very accessible other than class, and she is willing to go the extra mile. She is also department head so she knows about the exam well.

She made these videos that worked out the problems; that was really helpful (might have been the first time). You need to study outside of class, class is fairly easy, but you need to put in the time.

Professor Partha was very well prepared and organized. She presented the material in an interesting and amusing manner through her visual slides. She was always available outside of class for extra help and was always willing to further elaborate in class. She was able to effectively deliver the lectures while making them fun and interactive.

Dr. Parthasarathy tries her very best to make her students understand managerial accounting. She goes so far as to record her lectures on her own time and post them to youtube and she even skypes some students to help them study. Managerial is one of the most boring classes I've ever had the chance of enrolling, but she made it better for me.

I attended lecture just for clicker pts, bc I quickly realized I couldn't learn in there. However, this class is actually pretty straightforward if you just watch the videos that Dr. Partha posts on blackboard, in a folder titled "Videos to Help You Understand Accounting". They really saved me before each test. She does a better job teaching there.

I never paid attention in her class. Her lectures do get boring sometimes but she is a great teacher from the few times I paid attention. The only reason why I got an A is because I watched her recordings did the homework problems again attempted the review. The review problems are very similar to the test so know that. Search more problem online.

Partha was phenomenal, she loves teaching this subject and you can clearly tell. She was an amazing professor and you will learn a great deal from her in this class. It is an easy A if you invest into the class and do all the homework assignments. Everything should come natural with her lectures.

The lectures were mostly helpful although at times they got confusing. She really knows the subject and its obvious that she really enjoys teaching it. She wants to see her students pass and makes herself available for Skype meetings if you cant visit her during office hours. She posts videos often and theyre pretty helpful.

Accounting 2 is a bit tough but Kiran Parthasarathy makes every effort to make sure you don't feel that it's tough. She's a great professor overall who cares about her students and does her best to help every student that she can. Her lectures really explain each concept and overall, so be sure to go to class and participate!

Took her for both ACCT Courses and am so glad I got lucky with having her. There is a reason her classes get full really quick. Not only is she able to explain accounting in an easy manner, but she is extremely understanding and is willing to help. EMAIL/GO TO OFFICE HOURS!! She's passionate about accounting and will do her best to teach it. My attention span is super low and she would go off track a lot during her lectures so it was hard for me to learn material. The math in accounting she goes over well and I could practice that but the concepts are hard so watch her video recordings, that should help conceptually!!

I emailed her only once during the semester and never got a response. I asked her for homework help one time and she referred me to the accounting lab instead.

I took Dr. Partha as a freshman at UH. She is by far a great professor. She actually cares about the students learning the material, and even back tracks during a lecture to help if you're not understanding the material. Although she is a great professor her class can be difficult depending if you study. Take notes and study, and you'll get an A.

I had Partha for Fall 2020 via Zoom. Great professor 10/10. Poll questions to stay on top of participation, she is very prompt in class and outside of class if you ever need to email or ask her questions. She hosted optional study sessions to help us prepare for the final. 10/10 would recommend and take again, not a single complaint.

Dr. Partha was a good professor that tried her best to explain each topic. 2 exams and a final worth 100 points each. The total amount of point is 422. The homework was fine you have to put time into it to do good. There are resources that will help you with homework and other assignments. As long as you study you should do fine on the test.

ACCT 2301 is pretty boring and can be unnecessarily convoluted when it doesn't need to be, but Dr. Partha is very good at making sure everyone is prepared for all the exams. If I hadn't let myself get backed up on the lectures and miss a couple assignments, I would've gotten an A.

I took this class my first semester of freshman year and it was the hardest out of the 4 other classes. I suggest taking the earlier class since more "smart" kids are there so Partha gets less interrupted by useless questions. This is a hard topic but the tests have an intense curve. Be prepared to spend 3 hours on chapter readings.

The professor is great! The course material takes a bit of time to understand, but thankfully there is a curve on every test. Most assignments were on McGraw, and there were 3 tests including the final.

I took this class asynchronously, and it was a little rough. If I could take the class again, I would study for the exams at least a week before an exam date. (DO NOT study the day/night before!) There is a lot of content covered on each exams, and it's a big chunk of the final grade. The final was cumulative, so practice the material consistently!

Partha is a great professor to take for frameworks. Her lectures are posted online and the homework is pretty easy. Tests are similar to questions discussed in class. If you take it asynchronously be sure to stay organized and keep up with the material. Overall not a hard class and she wants to make sure everyone does well on the exams.

Dr. Parthasarathy is one of my favorite professors. I had her for 3 courses - ACCT 2301, 2302 and 3366. She took the time to explain every concept in detail and went over examples with care. The course can be complicated but she always went the extra mile to clear up confusion. Attend office hours with any questions you have, it will help!

Straight forward class, curved exams. She talks kind of slowly during lecture and may talk about seemingly random things occasionally. No plus or minus letter grades, just A, B, C, D. If you finish with an 89, that sucks.

Dr. Parthasarathy cares about students, and she is vested in your success. She offers extra office hours for you to ask questions and receive feedback on each exam. Work on her exercise problems, and you will feel more confident and prepared for the exams.

I took this as a synchronous class, in which participations DO matter. There are questions throughout her lectures so make sure to always attend. It's not an easy course, but she provides many materials to prepare for exams. Exams are pretty similar to the homework and problems she taught in class. She also curves exams so just do your best.

Professor Parthasarathy was great! Took her for an online course for 3 different acct classes, participation through polls were required, but easy class to handle. The work isn't insanely easy of course, but she holds office hours and review sessions for anyone who needs to join.

This class is not overly hard but it does require a bit of effort. The professor does care about her students and although I took it online she encourages you to participate and keeps a welcoming environment to ask questions. All assignments are on MGHill and test require webcam.

This professor's online class is an enjoyable environment for any student who is not interested in having to walk, drive, or bus to the classroom. Unlike other professors who base attendance grades on calling out student names alphabetically in front of everyone, Professor Parthasarathy uses simple polling questions which are private and anonymous.

Professor Parthasarathy ACCT 3366 class helped me learn the fundamentals of accounting. She is accommodating and wants her students to succeed. She covers the material in detail. If there are any questions, she answers them either in class or through email. Her homework and exams are not hard at all, which makes it easy to make a good grade.

Professor Partha is caring and knowledgeable. Lectures can be dry, but reviewing the textbook and using resources like Unstuck AI helped me stay on top of the material. Attendance is important - don't skip class. Overall, a solid accounting course.

First off, accounting is hard TAKE AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE IF YOU CAN. She is the best teacher here for it though. Homework once a week If homework is 80 or above, she turns it to 100. Smartbooks once a week, are easy. 3 tests. 4 projects throughout class, overall, not bad If you want an A, about 4-5 hours a week. Use chat gpt and peers on work.

I took this class online through Zoom, and I found it hard to follow up with her teaching due to her being so fast-paced and skipping a lot of essential small details that helped me to better understand accounting, which I only knew after reading the textbook. The textbook will be your best tool, so read it! Attend class to get the polling points!

Take in-person face-to-face. This was a hard class that was synchronous, I had to attend tutoring labs and collaborate with peers constantly to remain in good standing. That being said, Professor Partha is kind but appeared to sometimes have tech issues during class. With this rigorous coursework, she paces the assignments accordingly, stay ahead!

This professor lowkey booty but she's not bad. Her accent can be kind of strong sometimes and to be honest, her lectures aren't really helpful. I got a 98 on both exam 1 and 2 and I've only looked at her slides since her lectures are basically her just reading the slides. She's not too good but not that bad. the curve for exams is crazyyy.

The material is not that hard. ALEKS assignment, multiple HWs, 3 exams, and a final. Exams are very similiar to her practice problems. I would suggest to study the McGrawhill assignments and her Excel problems since you'll be taking the exam through McGrawhill in CASA. Take her! She is very caring and wants us to learn within the class!

Exams are straightforward as Dr. Partha gives "blow by blow" on what content is on the exam. Unfortunately, there are quizzes nearly every other class day, but you only need 80% for full credit. Her response rate to emails is stellar, and exam grades are released the night of/next day. "Confusion is the first step to enlightenment" -Dr. Partha

This class was difficult but Professor Kiran, did her absolutely best for her students to understand. She is available for students to meet up with her in office hours to help you in anything. As long as you do the homework, in class quizzes, tests you can pass the class.

AMAZING !!!! Professor speaks slow & clear so the students understands everything. She goes above & beyond to clarify lessons. After ever test she asks us to give her feedback that how she can teach better( & actually implements the feedback). Very passionate in teaching. 3 Tests, but she gives very good review questions which help A LOT !

Great Professor if you are willing to put in the work of listening in class and doing all the work, attend the lectures and doing the work, if you don't care about Accounting there is a curve on the tests so don't worry about being perfect.

Dr. Parthasarathy is a great professor who provides clear videos and specific guidance on what to study for exams, which made preparing much easier. My only issue was the fixed Saturday exam time, even though the course was asynchronous. As a parent, this forced me to miss important events for my daughter, so I would not take the course again.

Attendance is important because there are occasional in-class quizzes that count toward the grade. I found the lectures somewhat hard to follow since not all topics were covered in depth, so I relied heavily on the textbook and homework to understand the material. Exams are fair if you know the terminology.

Dr Partha is a good professor and I enjoyed her class. Exams for this class are written by the other professor Dr Harris, so for success in the exams study harris's materials. Hws are pretty important as well.

Professor Parthasarathy was very caring and accessible outside of class. She had office hours often and responds to emails very quickly. This class is very test heavy, having 4 tests that make up the majority of your grade. The exam is based off of Harris' lectures, so it is important to learn her formatting by watching all her short videos.
