Teaching methods are straight to the point. Very helpful on tests as he gives review for each one. Others seem to find this a hard class, but not if you read and keep up w/ the curriculum.

Was a very good teacher and the matereal was communcated effectivly. too bad he dosent have a spelling class

Very knowlegeble.Preparing you for real business world demand.Expect a lot of homework.He opens lab 2hrs before class and allows to prepare your homework working with your classmates together!Very tough on grading.Marks every little mistake.You could always come during his office hours and ask for help.He is good at helping.Very informative class!

He taught Quickbooks Accounting like it is an Intro to Accounting Class. The class was only 9 weeks but I learned more than what I paid for. He goes beyond what the books says and explains with real business world examples. Very Helpful!

I took Acctg 229 (Spreadsheet) and acctg 230 (Quickbook) with him, One of the best in the field, you learn a lot from him. Very helpful and accurate for everything. I also had a lot fun with him too. I got A for both classes. Great Great teacher. He is back for Spring and Summer 2008

No matter what Accounting B is very hard so if you want to learn and still pass, please take Mr. C. He is the best there is. He has a great passion for the subject and will make sure you understand. It was hard but I got an A because he makes it so interesting.

Took Mr. C two semesters ago and was easily one of the best courses I've ever took. Quizzes are multichoice and exams were pretty hard. Easy "A" if you follow the lecture and take good notes. Only thing I didn't like much is he calls on students to answer questions and that usually made me look stupid since I was confused sometimes on the material.

COOL instructor. Got an "A" simply by following instructions and having a good time in the class. There was group work (6-8x) and discussions throughout the semester. The review sheets are amazingly similar to the exams so anyone with half a brain could at least get a "B" in the class. Kirk was also a nice understanding guy. A+

One of the best professors I have taken at Long Beach City College. I took the course over the summer, I learned so much from the class, he was very clear in his lectures, very helpful and fair. I totally recommend taking him. A+ for Mr. Canzano.

If you are anything like I was, you are having doubts about taking Accounting because you've heard how "boring and difficult it is". That may be the case with other teachers, but not with Mr. C. He's a very easy-going guy, who takes his time to make sure you understand this subject. And the work is easy if you just put in a little effort!

I took Acctg. 1A with Mr. C and he honestly made the systematic material that acctg. entails interesting and easy to understand. I would highly recommend Professor Canzano... I am greatly appreciative for his excellent instruction!

Good teach... knows his stuff

Excellent teacher. Just go to class and take notes. He tells you exactly what to study for the tests and he gives a review right before the quizes. I took him for Acctg 1A & Acctg 1B and got an A in both classes.

I took him for Acctg 1A & am working hard to get him for acctg 1B. The class will be hard if you dont attend, I hardly studied and got an A. Canzano tries his best to make sure everyone understands, it is not a class for those who dont like to show up though.

Many in here that do not like this teacher or isn't passing is only because they don't take the time to read the book, go to class, and stay for S.I. He gives away his lecture notes, HW is due every two weeks or so, he tells you exactly whats on the test, Cengage website which is very helpful, plus S.I. Come one PPL, an A shouldn't be a problem.

Mr. C obviously enjoys teaching and makes the class as fun as possible. Very friendly guy. He does call on people during class to answer questions. If this is a concern for you, read the chapter before class and workout the sample problems (they are listed in the syllabus, answers in Cengage online), sit in the front row and volunteer answers.

I took this teacher for quickbooks, spreadsheet acctg and acctg. For those who didn't like him, they never went to class. If you go to class every day, you will find that he is one of the most helpful teachers and gives you what will be on test.

I hated accounting! Took it @ another college and da professor suked!! Mr.C is the BEST EVERRRR!! I <3 acct now, TAKE HIM with no doubt!! All work I did to learn was practice in class(group). Light HW, he grades on a point scale , clear, and it's easy to compute ur grade so u kno where u r in the class. Never get out early, attendance is a must!!!

i took this guy for acc 1a and 1b. He is the man! there is no secret about your grade.he grades your quizes and homework and returns it same day. tests are given back next class meeting. great teach. only bummer is no extra credit. i was 4 points away from an a and he didnt give it to me. he loves what he teaches. Take This Teacher!

I took his 1a 1b quickbook in the same semester. He is the best accounting teacher. Take him, he is really helpful. You even do not need to read textbook. Both 1A and 1B has 3 exams. I got about 92% in 1a and 96%-97% in 1B, but I only soent few time to study. As long as you show up to the classes and SI, you will be fine.

This class is great, and Mr. Canzano is so helpful. He wants everyone to be on the same page & will spend time individually to get everyone there. Also stays after class for anyone who wants to utilize the extra time. Will call people out for answers, which makes you want to study harder! Take Mr. C!

This professor is extremely helpful. He wants all his students to succeed and spends time after class to help his students with anything they don't understand. He tells you what's going to be on the test which of course if u study its an easy A. I strongly recommend him he is the best.

Mr.C is very helpful and makes the class fun and interesting. I enjoyed his class so well that I want to take any other classes he teaches. He makes his tests easy if you take note and do all of the homework and pay attention to his lectures. I give him an A+ as an instructor. Mr. C was an awesome professor. I had no liking in Acct before mainly cuz I hate numbers but he made class so interesting and easy to understand. If u do ur hmwrk u will get an A on ur test every time cuz he uses the same examples or similar examples for his test. Attendance isn't mandatory but u get a lot of extra activity points during class.

CengageNow will help you pass the class, so create an account as soon as you buy the books. Mr. Canzano's homeworks are the key to passing his quizzes and exams. It was tough, but see it through to the end and you'll be proud of yourself later.

Excellent professor. I highly recommend his QuickBooks class. He's very organized, clear, helpful and knowledgeable.

Mr. C is the best. Had him for 1A and i had to come back for 229& 230. if you are serious about Accounting, take him.

Mr. Canzano is great. He is really there to help you understand Accounting. You must read the chapters to do well on the quizzes and you must do the homework to pass the tests. He will go over the material before a quiz and it is very helpfull. Overall he is probably one of my favorite professors at LBCC.

The Excel that was taught was applicable to the job I presently work at (workers comp) and I became an super valuable employee. Guaranteeing job security

Passionate, knowledgeable,professional friendly, humorous, lively, reasonable. 6 multiple-choice quizzes (lowest dropped). 6 homework assignments (lowest dropped). 3 subjective unit tests(including final).

This was one of my favorite classes, but I like money. He is a really cool teacher. Very fair and sets up for success. If you donâ??t pay attrition or do your homework you will not do well. If you do your work though, you should have no problem getting an A.

This professor is great. Lectures are clear and concise, very helpful and he makes accounting seem super easy. He makes the time fly and is not boring. Love him as a teacher and will take him in as many classes as possible. Do not take his class if you do not plan on doing homework or paying attention otherwise I recommend him highly.

Mr. Canzano is very knowlegdeable of the subject he teaches. Quiet demeanor, dress professional,and speaks gentle. Very easy to learn from him and he is very patient. Mr. Canzanos willingness to help those that need help is beyond words. He's a great teacher.

Mr. C is probably the best choice for all students that needs ACCT class. He is very knowledgeable, clear and helpful. Yes he does call on people randomly but that will only help you. Do all the HW, online Quiz & Exercises on the book they'll help you. Also he gives 10pts EC in the end of semester. 4 exams and 1 final, all the same amount of points

Mr. C is an awesome professor. He made all the subjects we covered crystal clear. I like the way he assigns the reading and multiple choice questions from the reading prior to attending class. That tactic I feel, kept me on point. I passed his class with an A, and I look forward to having him again next semester :-)

He's very good at teaching. But his explaination is kinda fast. He'll provide you a lot of extra credit such as group work and etc. you NEED to go on Ezone for all the lecture because he'll give some example that you probably have no idea about. Be sure to stay to SI's session, it's really helpful. Btw, he's one of the best teacher in Accounting Feild

Prof. C is an expert in what he does. He connect with his students. He find ways to motivate, to approach the classroom work in a positive manner, and instill confidence in students. He listen to his students & he's willing to adjust lessons to the need of his students bec he wants everyone to succeed.

Possibly the best professor at LBCC. Nothing to fault, except that he might be a little too patient with slackers, but that is just my opinion.

One of the best teachers by far not just long beach city college but at university level too. He is the reason I am in love with accounting and if I could would come back to lbcc to take his course all over again!

I took his classes in between 2012 and 2013 and got As for both classes. They were my first accounting classes ever in my life. Essential class to take if concentrating in BusinessAccounting. All hands on, and all useful in real life corporatebusinesspersonal environments. You will gain many useful skills (tablesfinancial stmtsreports..) Creates his own models for lecture, book is not essential. Homework is based on lecture models. Quizzes are easy if you know excel.

Acct. 229, 1A, 1B AMAZING Professor! Clarifies the topic well and if you don't understand he does his best to help you. Very admirable and has a strong passion for accounting. He picks on you to make sure you stay on your feet. BE PREPARED! Going to miss having him. Made the subject easy! Accounting majors take Mr. C! You won't regret.

Accounting overall is very difficult and has many parts to it. But, he really tries his hardest to keep his students interested and motivated to do well in his class. Every student can feel that he truly cares about everyone's success in the class. He can go a little too fast and being called on randomly can pressure you, but you'll get used to it.

Excellent Professor!! He actually cares a lot for his students. His lectures are clear and LIGHT, he supports his lectures with power points and really good examples. HW is pretty easy. The way he manages his class is pretty amazing, he encourages students a lot to open the book and read the chapters. He provides a study guide for every exams. GOOD

Canzano is very thorough and clear in his lectures. He's very approachable and he also encourages questions. Read the book, practice, and you'll get it. If you don't practice and put in the effort to actually understand it, you won't get it. Overall a great professor!

Prof. Canzano is definitely one of the best professors I've had at LBCC. He is able to teach a difficult subject very clearly and as easy as possible. Show up to class, pay attention (especially when he solves example problems), do homework, and STUDY with the guides he posts on moodle; passing should be a breeze.

Great Prof. super nice and makes the class as easy as possible. However you need to read and definitely do HW, it makes the class and exams easier if you can do the mechanics. A great class and prof, would take again if he taught a different subject! Take if you like things clean and concise!

Professor Canzano really cares about the success of his students. If he notices a problem, he reaches out. He is very encouraging and only wants to see his students succeed. He is very knowledgeable and makes a tough subject understandable. This class requires class participation and plenty of study time at home.

Mr C. is a great professor. He really reaches out to you if you don't understand something. He is clear with what he expects from you and what you should expect in return. Do the online hw and show up to class everyday. It is s not an easy class, to pass you must put in the effort if you do you are guaranteed success.

Professor Canzano is great! Took 1B with him. Do the weekly hw's and quizzes and you should be fine. Use his lecture notes as guides! Always use his best study guides for the exams! Trust me, they will be very helpful.

Kirk is awesome. Really. This is the guy that made me realize that Business was the path for me. I've asked him to write my letters of recommendation for graduate school. Hands down, one of the best professors out there. Accounting can be dry, but Kirk does a great job of making it interesting. A++

Explains the material better than any Acctng prof at Lbcc. By far. The homework really helps you prepare for the tests. Not like other classes where hw is nothing like the test.

Mr. Canzano is amazing! He teaches accounting with a passion. Always smiling and willing to answer any question you may have. The pre and post chapter questions are few and simple. He opens the "check my work" button on cengage and allows you to check the answer without submitting it. I strongly recommend him.

Took Mr. C for summer and he was a great professor overall. Uses real life examples to explain the concepts. Homework is not bad. Use the study guides provided because that's what exactly is on the test.

This is my favorite professor in the LBCC campus. Professor Canzano has been very inspirational and admirable. He has taught me many things in and outside of the classroom. I see him more as of a friend rather than a professor. He's a really good guy who only wants to see his students succeed.

Take his Spreadsheet class if you want to be advanced in Excel. It will also refresh you on you on accounting topics. I went into this class knowing nothing about Excel, and I learned so much (Vlookups and Pivot Tables are amazing). Not easy nor particularly difficult, but EXTREMELY beneficial. He EXCELs at teaching. Also an amazing acctg professor

Lectures with a passion explains everything in detail. All homework and assignments are done through Cengage. The tests are pretty self explained because he provides Study Guides online for you to practice which is really helpful. I would recommend him for all Accounting Classes.

He is an amazing professor. Accounting is not an easy subject, but Canzano made it not difficult. This class you have to understand each chapter before you go to the next one to receive a good grade. Canzano gives a study guide that is very similar to the 5 exams, 500 points. HW every CH. on Cengage, 100 points. Group work, 15 points.

Canzano was by far one of my favorite professors ever. He was extremely caring and had clear grading criteria. If you do not understand a topic he will take the time to explain it until you do no matter how long it takes. Oh and make sure you do the practice tests he assings!!! You will ace the actual test if you take the time to do that.

Hands down, THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. This professor knows what he's talking about. He cares for all his students and wants them to pass but you have to put your own effort as well. He's an awesome professor just print out lecture notes and do the exercise on the syllabus before class and if he chooses you, you'll be prepared. Read his lecture notes very helpful and don't miss class or you'll miss out on a lot.

One of my favorite instructors here at LBCC. I hate accounting myself but sitting through his almost 3-hour class felt like nothing! He really cares about his students and will take the time to help u in every way. He will make u work for ur grade and earn what u deserve. Would definitely take him again!

Canzano taught great like 1A. Same grading structure. 1A was more work to journalize, but 1B is more of an analytical class, there was more math involved, not hard though, you just need a sharp memory. There were a few chapters that needed to go more in depth. Overall, if you read the book (like you should), finish HW, study, you will do fine

Take him! Granted, I've only taken his classes for my Accounting classes, which is my major, so I have no base to compare, but his lectures are fun, interesting, and educational. You will learn a lot from him if you go to classes. Reading can boost your understanding but I find it optional.

Honestly, the best professor I've had while in college. He knows how to teach the subject clearly for student to understand and adds practice problems in to help students really learn the material. So glad I took him and I know I'm prepared for intermediate accounting at csulb this semester

I've taken his Accounting & Excel classes. He's a great teacher, with good real-life experiences and stories. He's professional and sticks to the course topics... No Vegas stories in this class! Just the appropriate information pertaining to the course. Good tests with study guides to help.

He isn't "easy" he's just is a GREAT teacher, if you do ALL your work and STUDY you'll get an A, if you are a GREAT business student you will pass, best teacher ever. I learned A LOT! WORK HARD THOUGH!

His lectures are very detailed and even has lecture notes that you can follow while hes lecturing which helped me understand the chapters better. Accounting is difficult over all but he does lots of practice and problem questions that are harder than whats on the exams.

If you are not serious about accounting do not waste your time taking this professor. He loves what he does so he does not make this course easy. It is designed to be a tough course because he actually teaches you accounting. This is the only class at LBCC that i was taught to DO something rather than about something. Be prepared to give your ALL!

I took Canzano for 200A, 1A & 1B. His lectures are monotone sometimes, but this class is SO easy. All you have to do is memorize the online Cengage homework because it's the same material that's going to be on his exams. HOWEVER, if you want to be a successful accountant one day, you will need to do more than just memorize all the right answers.

Prof Canzano is a great professor he is very straight forward of what he expects in his class. He is always willing to answer any questions. The homework and study guide are just like the exams so you won't be surprised when you're taking your exam. There are extra credit opportunities on cengage.

Canzano is a great professor with tons of knowledge in accounting. He has many stories and advice to share as he has worked for the big 4. He accustoms you to think beyond the textbook. I strongly recommend taking his spreadsheet accounting class to raise your excel skills to a high level and apply accounting concepts to the real world.

Canzano is so passionate about accounting. I took him for 1A & 1B. Acctng is not an easy subject, it requires you to learn how to take the info given to you & know exactly what to do with it. He will work with the student but you need to reach out to him first. Due to COVID-19 class were moved online. He was very understanding of situations and helped me out as best as he could. I was very scared of accounting and had taken it 2 semesters before. Canzano made it easy to understand. I am looking forward to taking him for accounting 1B

If you're like I was & is nervous about taking Accounting, I promise Professor Canzano makes it very clear to understand! His class was a little lengthy but he made sure everyone stayed engaged the entire lecture. Honestly one of my favorite professors I've taken so far. He really helps you understand the subject in the easiest way possible.

He is a god amongst men. Probably the best professor you will ever have. Accounting is no easy class, but he makes it cool and doable. Extremely knowledgeable in basically anything business related and has years of personal experience under his belt. Only problem is getting put on blast in zoom meetings, but it will make sure you learn your stuff.

Professor Canzano is passionate about accounting and really knows his stuff. He clearly explains what you need to do to pass the class. Not a homework-heavy course, you are required to do pre-chapter and post-chapter assignments, which can be done in 10 to 20 minutes based on your understanding. He allows for one sheet of notes for exams.

LOVED HIS CLASS! I took him for ACCTG1A&B he was great, easy to communicate with and will always make sure you understand the material. easy assignments but the actual hw is due before each exam and do not procrastinate. be prepared to take a lot of notes and make sure they are done well! he also is funny and tries to make lectures enjoyable

If you plan on majoring in accounting, I would highly recommend him. His lectures are organized and planned out which makes the course very easy to follow. The attendance is like 12% of the overall grade, and his lectures are related to the tests. There are 5 tests, and lots of assignments. This course requires a lot of work so be aware of that.

Professor Canzano's accounting course was challenging, yet highly effective. His organized lectures, classwork, and readings, coupled with clear exam guidance and a one-sided cheat sheet allowance, significantly aided learning. Random cold calls kept us engaged, and his genuine care for student comprehension made a tough subject manageable.
