He is very clear on how he grades. After each quiz, he always made sure to explain why he gave the grades he gave. If you pay attention to the critiques, incorporate them to your work, you will do well. He gives students many opportunities to ask questions for clarity. Very big on details which happens to be a strength of mine, I always got 10/10.

wastes so much time on questions. will take 8 minutes questioning everyone on their knowledge of a point on the slide and surprise surprise no one knows anything since were just learning this. so now we have less time to actually be taught the material. he is so self righteous too thinking this and only giving 9/10 grades is somehow helping his stu

I took him for PSC321, he is a nice professor but the problem is that the grades he gives back is super low, like you might think you did good in the quiz or exam but the grade he gives you will be super low, so he is a good professor but nah don't take him if you not good in test taking or not good in taking quizzes.

This is my first semester at college and i can strongly admit that the professor was very fair with grading, lecturing, and assignment. There was no overwhelming in this class at all. The topics on the quizzes and on the exam were discussed in class and not once. I believe this teacher gave me an amazing experience.

This professor is chill, humorous, and really knows how to lecture. You just have to be a decent student who can pay attention and actively listen because he can talk on and on about the class material. You do need a textbook and showing up is importance to understand the content more and what is going to be on the quizzes.

The professor is nice, gives the lecture in detail and gives you enough information for the quizzes and quizzes were also not that hard.

If you aren't a person who doesn't like to take notes. I won't recommend him. He will only give lecture in the class there will be no powerpoint/notes. You have to take the notes during the class. He is very helpful if you ask him for help. In my opinion, the review sheet for finals wasn't really helpful. It was a long review sheet.

Great professor. You must take notes and pay attention because he does not use slides and does not post on Brightspace. Lecture heavy, but he explains very well. You are graded on a few quizzes (lowest grade is dropped), term paper, and final. Very humorous and helpful. No homework. He uses a textbook, but you can find it online for free.

Prof Hanson is one of the best professors I've ever taken, I really enjoyed his lectures and he adds his own creativity to it instead of your average long and boring lessons. He's definitely a very tough grader so I highly recommend studying for those quizzes, read the textbook, and he doesn't do slides so please be prepared to always take notes.
