This was one my best class at the UA. Teacher gave everyone a 100 on the final due to low test grades throught out the semester (B's are considered low). Would definitely recommend for students looking for a easy but fulfilling class.

Dr. Summers is FUNNY. I thought it was pretty easy, but I did study quite a bit. It seemed that most people in the class might have not found it as easy - but gave a take home final and hes one of the funniest prof you'll ever have. TAKE HIM

alrhough, the class itself is easy, it is a lot of material but he makes it worth it. I really did enjoy going to class b/c he was always doing something goofy and funny to get everyone interested. It is a great class and I took it as a freshman so I would reccomend takeing it.

Funny guy-- I enjoyed going to lecture. Tests are pretty easy but long and multiple choice (lots of nitty gritty details). Fairly easy A.

go to class because he gives you test questions and answers, then later before the tests he emails you test ques. he makes it so easy and fun. everyone should take this class. super easy and fun

CL 350 is a very challenging class, so don't take if you're only slightly interested in it. kirk is REALLY cool, but he doesn't do much to make this class easy. the tests are some of the hardest ive ever taken, but studying his notes helps a ton. he's very demanding on the term paper, but its really fun to do all the research.

Take it. End of discussion. Show up, take notes, read them and the book once before the tests, make an A. No papers, no assignments, no final. 4 tests at 25% of average. Not to mention, hes hysterical, sacrifices things in class, and tells you test answers. Oh, and you can get 10 average bonus points.

He is the best teacher!!! While attendance is not necessary it is what makes you pass. Going to his class was like going to story time. We watched movies part of the time and he makes lots of jokes.

Kirkules rocks my socks! He is the best teacher at this school. He does indeed make class an enjoyable experience. My advice would be to take his fall classes so that you get to partake in pre football game sacrifices :-)

Kirkules is so fun. Watch movies the 1st 10 minutes of class, lecture, and always get out early. Study guide is online, which is really helpful when you're studying. Another plus is he wrote the book used in class. I highly recommend this class if you want a break from mundane classes.

This man is amazing! His class is extremely interesting and he obviously loves what he teaches. Read your textbook and come to class, as pretty much all the test questions come from lectures. Also there are slides you have to look at, but it's not hard. And he sacrifices every Thursday before games! I took this class for fun.

Kirk Summer's Greek and Roman Mythology class is very fun and easy. If you need a humanities course to take as an elective, I suggest that you take this course. This is a class experience that you will never forget. The guy is hilarious! If you pay attention to his lectures, you will get a good grade.

This class is easy as long as you do the study guides before the tests. It takes a while to do but the test is the study guide basically. All lectures are recorded online so going to class is not necessary and even if you do still go, he makes it only one day a week. Easy.

He's an AMAZING teacher. He's absolutely hilarious and you don't have to go to class because he posts the lectures online so you can do it on your own time. Very easy tests as long as you read and listen to the lectures.

Summers is great!! he really knows his stuff. he might go off on some tangents every now and then but it's totally worth listening too. personally i think it's better to go and listen in person since he does these funny things in class sometimes. easy class, just take notes and read the book and test is a breeze.

Absolutely amazing. He might get off topic every now and then but when he does odds are its an awesome story. Heads up, this is a Greek and Roman Myth Class, you will see nudity, and his style of humor is right on with that, little dirty. I thought it was Amazing some people think its a little off color. Have fun!

Prof Kirk is so funny! Basically he just tells stories from his slideshows. Actually copy down what he says, not just whats on the slide show. The slide show is just a rough outline. Read the book. And do the online stuff and youll have no problem. He is seriously the funniest teacher I have ever had.

Absolutely awesome. Take him! Class is a bit monotonous (powerpoint slides every day), and it seems he's been teaching the same exact course for the last several years. You won't ever really have to go to class because all the lectures are posted online(you can view them easily at 2x speed too), but class is entertaining and even hilarious

Professor "kirkules" was one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. He is really into what he is teaching and makes his class want to learn. Class isn't mandatory because he uses tegrity, but he is fun to listen to & watch so going to class is not a big deal. This class was an easy A.

Really funny professor. Not quite as easy of a class as one might expect, yet it is impossible to fail due to the final. Tons of information for each test, but no homework.

All of the lectures are posted on Tegrity, so going to class isn't mandatory. His tests are pretty specific though, so reading the textbook is a must, and watch the lectures online helps a lot too.

I really like Summers! He puts all of this lectures online, so you don't HAVE to come to class, but I HIGHLY recommend it. He is hilarious and very well informed on the subject. The subject matter is highly sexual of course, and as long as you aren't a stick in the mud, this man is hilarious. Very laid back; take this class.

Great teacher! Very in string class. After taking it I have learned that almost all Roman and Greek myths are derived from sex or have some kind of sexual meaning. It is a very inertaing class. Test are a lil hard (DONT UNDERESTMATE THEM!!!!!) But over all I would highly recommend the class. Teacher is also very funny!

Summers is a great professor he is hilarious and he knows his subject. The course is not a breeze though. You will read a lot from the Greek Myth book, powerpoints, and other notes to prepare yourself for the test. I always tell people to take his class if they need an extra Humanities credit, CL 202 is totally worth it!

This class is basically 4 parts: lecture, textbook, slideshow pictures, and city/extra readings. For the first test I just studied the lecture and got 92. Great teacher, extremely funny guy. YOU MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK, but since it's written by him the material is always consistent with the power points. He provides study guides for every test that go really in depth, so there's not really any reason you shouldn't do well...made A's on every test, and the book is online so you don't have to buy it.

Dr. Kirkules was definitely my most entertaining teacher last semester. I miss his class and wish I could take it again. I honestly regret skipping sometimes because the lectures were legitimately interesting as was the material and you can tell he loves what he does. If you try you will get an A. Sacrifices on the Thursday before gamedays too!

Kirkules is by far my favorite professor at UA. If you need three hours of humanities credit, this is definitely the class I recommend to take. As far as class specifics go: the tests are easy (90% of the questions' answers can be found in the book, which is online on blackboard learn) and there is little to no homework.

Don't have to go to class because everything online. Take relatively detailed notes from the tegrity recordings and the short readings and you'll be able to an A+. You have forever to take each quiz online and he provides study guides for exams. People post helpful guides on google too. Extra credit on final gets added straight to final grade

Easy class and great instructor. All the test questions are basically the online quizzes. Class is on integrity so no point in going.The material is actually interesting to listen to. Can get up to 10% of extra credit as well. If you cant make an A in this class, consider dropping out of UA

Kirkules is hilarious! He has a dry humor and can sometimes be monotone, but his subject material is interesting enough to make up for any deficiencies in tone. The tests are very easy and he tells you exactly what you need to know. He also posts Tegrity notes, which are notes where he's also speaking.

The class is easy, but I usually just play on my phone or computer the whole time. It's a little boring, but I find it helps to listen to the lectures online. The lectures seems more interesting online than in class. He doesn't go over much of what in the book, so you do need the book. If you don't have it, you will fail. It's only 10 dollars.

KIRKULES is the man. Myth is the most interesting class I've taken at UA. He is the best person to teach it because he is obviously extremely passionate about every story and is an awesome storyteller. You learn so much from this class and even though lecture isn't mandatory, you want to go because it's entertaining and interesting.

"Kirkules" is awesome. 3 tests + Final, quizzes for each lecture (only 10 questions, can retake as many times as you want) chapters are like 5 pages tops. Kirkules is hilarious! He makes you want to come to class. Also, I recommend taking it in the fall because then you get to chant roll tide in Latin while he sacrifices the opposing teams mascot to Zeus. I'm not even making this up.

This class is not very difficult, however, it is harder than the reviews make you believe. It is not by any means the easiest class I have had at UA. But, having said that, it should be easy to make an A. Didn't know how to study for the first test so I made an 88, but then figured it out and made a 98. Take notes and study the quizzes and pictures

Pretty interesting class. I enjoy the concepts and he teaches them with great knowledge. Grading is not bad at all but the struggle is processing all the names of individuals during the course. Still one of the best electives out there to take at UA for an A.

If you listen to the lectures and read the book (chapters are a few pages at most). His class was the only one that didn't take attendance but I enjoyed it so much that I willing went. He's a cool professor. Unlimited attempts at quizzes until they're due. You'll do well on his tests if you read, look at the picture slides, and review the quizzes. Offers a large amount of extra credit for some questions based on extra reading. No reason to not make an A in the class if you do what he says to (slides, quizzes, reading).

He was an amazing professor who enjoyed teaching the stories of Greek mythology to us. It did not even feel like a class, but like a friend telling you this amazing thing that happen thousands of years ago. This is one of the best classes that I have taken here. Tests are super easy

Dr. Summers is a nice guy, but this class was hard. I thought I was a good writer until I took this class. I write papers often and do well in them. The papers I turned in to him are the lowest scoring papers I've ever gotten. He does have days where the lecture is just writing skills, so he makes an effort to show us what we do wrong. Still hard.

Kirk is amazing and cares so much for the material. He is very well spoken and very wise. He is approachable outside of class and he will give you amazing feedback on any work you do. He is hilarious and will treat you as if you are his friend.

Dr. Summers is very kind and is understanding of how busy/hectic things can be as a student. Most of your grade is based on completing translations and discussing in class. Discussions were always very relaxed and felt like a conversation. He has great insight on everything we read and always wanted to hear our thoughts. Definitely would take again
