GREAT teacher! all notes are posted on her website so in class you just have to highlight what she emphasizes. she has many samples tests with answers on her website (which are old tests from past semesters!) HIGHLY recommended! it's not an easy A but you'll def. learn the material!

I had her class last semester. Yes, she is hard. But, she is a good teacher. She gives you the material you need to pass her course. I highly recommend her if you want to learn the material.

Great professor, alwayss ready to help. Gives examples in class and tells you what will be on the test. Your highest test can replace the lowest and your final can replace the second lowest. If you want an easy professor, choose her.

First of all, Professor K is an extremely nice and helpful person. She gave extra credit on every exam and replaces your lowest exam score with your highest exam score. This means you can bomb one test and still get an A! I had over 100% going into the final. If you want to make an "A" in Chemistry and learn the material well, take her class.

I took her for organic chemistry I in Spring 2008, she is extremely helpful, and always available to students, very kind, and most of all teaches organic chemistry so well, you start loving the subject and can literally visualise it. She loves her subject and always welcomes students with suggestions and questions, good teacher in every respect.

Go to her class everyday and take the notes. she writes all her notes on board. Dr. K is a good teacher and an extremely kind and understanding person. This is a tough class and there is a lot of material, so you HAVE to apply yourself. You HAVE to work on the material outside of class and use her website practice exams to prepare for the tests. Chem is very HARD for me and I made an A by really putting my all into it.

Dr. Komala has to be one of the kindest & most helpful and understanding proffessors in all of HCC! Absolutely love her! She's very clear & encourages all her students. Over all she's awesome!

you have to study the powerpoints she shows in class, which are available to download on her HCC Learning Web. Also she has practice tests which are also posted there. Study these for 3 hours the night before the test and have good attendance you will make an A. She is a very easy grader and often gives points for nothing. Very nice lady!

Granted, this course is difficult and at times confusing, but Miss K is always eager to clarify and help you. She even had tutoring mon-thurs and was always there. The KEY is to show her that u are putting effort, and most importantly READ THE BOOK. This teacher is 1 in a million, Literally, and should be Precieved in such a way!!

She was okay. This class is just hard in general. My advice would be to print the practice tests out. Hers are similar. Does not really matter if she is easy because the class is hard either way.

Overall she is a very good teacher. You can tell that she cares about us actually understanding the material, and she has no problem re-explaining something when she sees confused looks on our face. The course itself is difficult, not her. Taking chem in general will require great effort, and she def makes it easier.

She is a good,but it is impssble to make an A in this class,nomatter who you take it with @Stafford campus due to mandatory quizes within first 15min of class worth 15%.The avg quiz grade is bad,& even if you do well in the labs&exams,those 15pts will hold you back.It's good to be quized,but it's weighed too much,esp for just learning the material.

CHEM 1411 with this Prof. She's outstanding. SHe knows her stuff and dedicates time for us in tutorials and xtra office hours. Chemistry is hard and youhave to work hard to get good grade. Some think you can intimidate the instructor to get good grade.Shame, shame getover with it we are COLLEGE students now!!!!

Dr. Komala is the best ever. She knows what she's doing. She cares about her students so much. The textbook which is overpriced isn't even needed. She replies to emails promptly. The department could consider reducing the weigth on quizes.

Dr. K is the best ever, I took her chem 1 last spring among with 4 other classes, and i make 5 A, Dr. K is so nice. The quiz and the tests are not hard. Just look over her note, do her example problems and you definitely will get A.

I took her class last spring and I got A :D Just study her note and do the practice exams and you will pass the class. But be focus and listen to her lecture. If you have problem with any questions in the lab, email her and she will guide you through. She is the best ever.

Don't listen to them, Dr.K is so clear on what she wants, but the lazy people just never do what she wants and they end up with low grades. I took her in last summer. Take her! Very clear, extremely helpful especially for a tough class such as chemistry. I had never taken chemistry before not even in high school and Dr.K made it very easy to learn. She's a very good teacher. I wish I had her for Chem 1412. If you dont understand she'll take her time and wait until you do understand. As long as you study her review sheets and practice them you'll pass the test because all she does is re-words the questions and change the numbers. i would recommend for Chem 1 and 2

One of the best chemistry teachers out there, she gives only 3 regular exams and a comprehensive final. If you the review for his tests they're all easy A and she gives bonus so that helps. I got 100 plus on all my exams...labs are easy to you can find most of the answers on google.

Before I graduated from HCC, I transferred to her class for Chem 1412 from another class where the professor was frequently tardy. Best decision of my academic career. I am at UT now, studying applied mathematics, and she is every bit as good as any professor you will encounter in a university. Very engaging professor, take advantage of her class.

Dr. K was an awesome professor! Her lectures are very helpful and required. Her grading is very fair and she wants to to do well in her class. There is online homework, but it is reasonablehelpful for exams. You can tell she really loves this subject and is extremely experienced in it as well. Definitely would take any of her classes :)

Took Summer I and she's honestly one of the best science professors I've ever had! She's very sweet and eager to help students. She's a fair grader (replaces lowest test grade with final and bonuses on every exam). She actually wants us to well. Dr. K goes over previous exams in class too so if you look at those, you should get an A.

extremely humble professor. explain everything very clearly. She would give bonus 10 points question in every exam. she is always there to help you out after the class. just two work "thank you." She does care to students, especially those who don't do well after the first exam. Her lectures are enough for you to pass; you just have to study, practice, ask her or your classmates what you find unclear, and bingo. Regular exams always come with 10 extra pts, except the final (just complete survey). Important: NEVER NEVER CHEAT in class.

Prof KK is the best one I have had so far. Some will say that her lectures are long and boring, but I dont think so. She goes through the details on every chapter to make sure students will understand. If you really pay attention to, you will understand. . She is so nice to let you hand in assignments late, and let you come late if you tell her.

She wants you to succeed. I enjoyed her class. The class is test-heavy, so be prepared to study. The material is going to be challenging no matter who you take it with so be prepared.

TBH she is the best chem teacher. Yes, her lectures are hard and boring sometimes but she gives us a 10 min break every day. She is willing to give you an A just work hard and prepare for the exams. She replies to emails within an hour or two. I am taking her again for chem2

Dr. Krishnaswamy is an amazing professor. Her notes are spectacular. Study and listen to her and you're set. Orgo is never easy but she makes it okay. That being said, steven dessens is always a better choice.

Dr. K is very nice, amazing and cares her students. Chem 1411 is a little bit hard but you'll be fine if you take notes and do all the HW she gave. We don't buy text book, only lab menu. She graded the lab very carefully but you can let her check before turn it in. Her review is similar to her tests, and 10 bonus at the end. Work hard, I got A.

Dr. K provides an opportunity for up to 10 bonus points on every exam except the final, which is basically a built in curve. The class is very hard and requires lots of time outside of class for homework, lecture review, and reading. I have taken her for two classes and her grading is very fair.

Dr. Krishnaswamy is so caring of her students! She answered every single of my so many questions, both by email and at her office. The class was difficult for me, since I had taken Chem 30 years ago, but with her help, hard work and by completing all the homework and labs, I made it. She encouraged me when I needed so bad!

I have not finished the class yet, but I felt the need to share my thoughts for people looking for the best learning experience. She is fantastic. This is coming from someone who has struggled through chem getting at best a B. Go to class, take good notes, do the homework, quizzes and practice exams. Put in the work and you will do great.

Lots of note taking, but it's needed. She helps a lot during labs and grades relatively quickly. She doesn't tolerate disrespectfulness so be patient and respectful. Attendance is mandatory, there are given breaks. She's generous to check your hw and labs before submission and gives weekly quizzes to see if you understood the concept.

Best teacher I've ever had. She is caring and friendly. Orgo is hard regardless of the teacher but she makes it easier to understand. She gives lots of completion grades, & is really understanding. Her lectures are easy to follow. Best way to study is spending time on the hw. She grades fairly quickly, & makes sure to do a review before each test.

I took her CHEM1412 class. There were too many things to cover in the semester, every problem she solved in class will be on the exam. There were 3 exams and a final, which took 20% for each. She also gives 10 points plus for each exam if we can do the bonus question. The class will be an easy A if you put some effort into it.

Professor Krishnaswamy is the best teacher ever. She is very helpful, she wants her students to pass with a good grade. Her tests are not tricky and are very similar to examples from reviews that she gives before each test. She has office hours where she can help with homework, lab reports, or helps to fill in knowledge gaps. She gives extra credit

Dr Komala is the best chem teacher by far! She explains everything and writes it down on the board in details to make sure that everyone gets the required info. She always gives revision exams that will look almost the same as her exams. You will always know what would be on her exams. She prepares you and always make sure everything is understood.

Dr. K really wants you to pass her class. She will help you on anything. She only has 7 lab sessions throughout the semester so you don't have to worry about labs being a weekly thing. Her exams are just slight variations of her reviews. Be sure to take notes, this is not an easy class.

BEST PROFESSOR FOR CHEM LAB! I have her for lab only and she is amazing. Your grade is purely based on how well you excel in your lab reports. There is no final exam or tests in general. As long as you participate in the labs and complete the directed work, you will earn a good grade. If you don't understand a concept she will do her most to help!

Her test is easy. You just have to follow the interview and her note. She gives 10pts for extra credit for each test. She goes through the lecture quite fast, so you should take note carefully.

Professor Komala is so kind and friendly. Her lectures are so good, only thing is she writes down everything on the board while teaching, which some student did not like. There will be a bonus point review which helps you a lot for the exams. The homeworks are little but hard but there is 2 attempts. LAB is so easy, NO TESTS, just do the work.

Dr. K delivers the material in a super clear and organized way - makes it really easy to review later on. You won't have to remake notes at all! She writes ALL the info you need to know on the board and gives you ample time to write it all down. She's really sweet and prepares her students REALLY well for upper level chem classes like ochem!

Dr.K is very helpful and caring, I took her chem 1111 lab and it was an easy A. No lab test just complete your labs and the workbook and you will do great. That's it. It is as easy as I have had it to be fair. Just do your lab reports and you will get an A. I highly recommend Dr.K for those who want to make an A and not struggle in lab.

I took chem I lab with her, and I have to say she's great! She'll give reviews before performing experiments and helps you correct mistakes. She's sweet and very knowledgeable.
