This class is super easy!! He knows it's boring material so he gives bonus points for being in class sometimes and you almost always get out early. He reviews the class before the test and tells you everything that will be on the test. EASY A!!!

One of the easiest/best classes I have ever taken. Just took it as a senior trying to raise my GPA and get some extra hours. However I learned more in this class, because Kahler teaches so well, than most classes I have taken throughout college. You learn stuff that will come in handy later on I feel like. Easy A, must take class.

Very easy class. Just go on quiz days and do the homework. If you don't know computers, go to class, he explains everything. If you are good with computers and Word/Excel/HTML don't bother. Tests and quizzes are super easy. Never studied once and made an A. Take him!

He made it as easy as posible. Even though the subject was boring, he made it as interesting as posible. He is young and makes the class interesting. One of my favorites!!! I would tske him!

Computer Science 121! Super easy! I thought I knew a lot about computers, well I learned more in his class. beware mac users, this focuses on winodws. There is no current classes for mac users. Shame. But I still made over a 100 in his class.

I thought I knew everything I needed to know about computers, but he actually teaches more (and not pointless topics, but things you'll actually use in everyday life whether or not you're majoring in this field). He's funny, makes it interesting and CRYSTAL clear. No confusion at all, lots of bonus points especially if you come to class. EASY A!!

Easy class. Only showed up for the tests and still did good in the class. Lots of homework, but it's easy and all on blackboard and you have a long time to do it!

amazing professor! There to help whenever it is most needed! He goes over homeworks the Tuesday before its due normally a Friday by 11pm. Take ur laptop to class and you can literally do the homework then! Or write the steps down his notes are the test but go to his reviews and SI and u get an A! Plus the final replaces lowest test grade.

Very funny! very helpful. do not buy the textbooks for 101. waste of money. never used them and passed the class with an A. good office hours and there is SI available--go to it. bring your PC (can't get a lot of stuff done on a Mac) and do hw during class! take him!

He is a really good teacher and is funny even at eight in the morning I was in his class this semester and the department started using the echo thing that allows him to put the full lecture online.... Perfect class and teacher.

CRAZY EASY!!!! i didn't have to study at all, just took notes and read them literally 5 mins before the test. he goes over the homework in class and if you bring a laptop you can do it with him. he's super understanding and gives you bonus points sometimes for coming to class (he puts recordings online so not many people come)

Mr. KAhler is one of the best professors ive ever had! His class is easy. I attended SI for all of my homework even though he goes over everything in class. He records all of his classes and puts them online. Attendance isnt a big deal at all. Dont purchase the text book!! Take him!!

Mr. Kahler was my easiest professor and he was very nice and laid back. He goes over the homework assignments in class and records his lectures and posts them online if you miss class. I made an easy A in his class. No need to but the textbooks. He makes cheesy jokes at times and loves what he teaches. Take him! Love love loved this professor!

Easy A. Very clear and instructive,but he talks ALOT. He definitely knows what he's talking about and he's very willing to help you outside of class. Textbook isn't necessary and attendance isn't mandatory, so that's a plus.

Mr. Kahler is a great teacher! His lectures are pretty entertaining, and if you miss class he will post videoed of the lecture on D2L. This is really helpful when doing homework, which is so easy. He shows you the homework step by step. We didn't use the book at all (as I took the class in person). His jokes are cheesy and funny too!

Professor is very funny.Although attendance isn't mandatory he does take role every day. VERY easy, goes over hw step by step. I take my laptop to class and get it done right there and then (: He answers any questions or concerns you might have. Quizzes online are very easy too. Got an A on everything. Annoying as a professor, but to easy of a class to fail. Take your computer to class. He does the homework with you. Take good notes in class so you can receive As on your quizzes (which are online). Test are easy, looked over notes the morning of test. He also gives you a review for every test. Make sure you turn all assignments in on time. GL:)

Coolest professor ever. He does not record his lectures any more. Class is not mandatory but if you go with your computer he takes you step by step through the homework. Tests are 50 questions multiple choice and T/F. Not hard at all if you know what a computer is and what word and excel is.

Easy computer class. Hilarious teacher. Show up to class with your computer and you won't have to do any of the assignments out of class. You do the assignments together in class. If you understand the assignments you will make an easy A-B on the exams. No studying necessary. Would take again!

He does the work for you! Who doesn't love that?? I loved him as a teacher and a person! I would suggest getting a windows computer in class but having a Mac would just be a little tougher.

Kahler is the best. I took online and he's always willing to help any student. I almost failed because I got the dates mixed up for the online final and he opened it back up for me so I would not fail. He's the bomb and I wouldn't take anyone else for this class.

This class is great for anyone considering web development. JavaScript is nothing like Java Programming which Mr. Kahler is used to teaching. He made the subject simple and easy to understand, I can honestly say I enjoyed taking this class. Kind of surprised this was his first time teaching this subject, since he knew so much about it.

Mr. Kahler is a great instructor. He is very funny and is willing to help whenever it is needed. Some of his assignments may be a little tricky, but as long as you attempt them, he won't knock off but a few points. He did a fantastic job teaching this course for the first time, as he seemed like he has been teaching it for years.

One of the best computer science professors in the department, really tries to help when he can and makes sure the student is understanding the material. The class itself can be challenging but not too bad if you pay attention and ask for help. He's pretty laid back but try not to take advantage of that and you should be fine!

A simple, funny, quirky, likable dude teaching the easiest A from college class I've ever taken. What's not to love? Plenty of opportunities for bonus points and comprehensive reviews before each exam. I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Had weekly homework assignments but completed them in class as a group. Weekly quizzes extremely easy. Exams extremely easy. As long as you show up, you should understand everything and pass the class.

Kahler is very easy to listen to. He takes a very common sense approach, he's funny, grades fairly, and the tests aren't too hard. For 102, you can google a pdf of the textbook if you need, and it's good to have if you don't understand the lectures, but you can get by without it. He can be kind of confusing sometimes, but he takes questions

His class is pretty laid back. Hes very lenient on home work and work in class and hes not strict on attendance but he rewards you if you show up with extra credit sometimes. He explains the material well and breaks it down so we can understand it. The tests are directly from the review so if you study the review you will do fine.

Pr. Kahler's class was pretty chill. He had good thorough notes, although I think the class would've been easier for me if my computer could load the videos he sent. One thing that I was particularly fond of is whenever he returns homework, quiz or exam grades, you can't see where you lost points. He just posts your grade, no explanation why.

Mr. K is awesome! His lectures are very relevant to the assignments/quizzes/exams. He answers his emails very quickly. He grades assignments within the week and posts exam grades almost the same day. If you ever get lost or confused, just send him an email and he will help you out. Loved his class!!

Took this class on Zoom this Fall. All of his lectures were recorded and posted to D2L. He did all the assignments with us as a class. If you get the chance to take him, do it! Easy A!!

Mr. K is the best computer science teacher at SFA. He makes class enjoyable and listens to each students concerns. He is understanding and has a passion for helping students succeed. I would take him over and over again.

In 3351 Kahler assigns an activity each class day. These are short and not difficult, but they do require attention. Follow along with the free textbook and you won't have any trouble. Overall a great guy, would take again.

I liked him. The class wasn't hard. Assignments are due once a month. Exams are worth 80% of your grade tho.

easy class, he was kind and responded to emails quickly. all assignments in the module were due once a month, with the exam shortly after the assignments were due. with the excel module, a quick youtube search can help relieve any confusion. this class was no extra stress!

he is a geat prof, you literally will do a lab together in class, the homework will be the lab but slightly different and then the exam is the lab but slightly different. he hands you what you need. the only issue i had is it felt like he burned out as a teacher the same time we did as students and it felt like he just got lazy.

i took this class in the summer, so it was online, attendance was not mandatory, we had homework every wednesday, overall he is a great guy, really nice , he does want things turned in on time and doesnt accept late assignments, textbook does come in handy if you are struggling but not required

This class was easy! I recommend taking it in person if you don't own a pc or if you're not very tech savvy because he goes through assignments step by step with the class so you can receive a 100. The exams aren't difficult and usually common sense or stuff discussed over in class. The only downside is he does ramble on topics.

Online course the exams are proctored with HonorLock, so don't cheat he will know and you'll fail. I enjoyed the class, I was expecting an A for the class, but the 4 exams are worth 20% each while all assignments are only 20% so do good on the exams. I even did all the extra credit, but it really didn't make a difference. I would take him again.

Easy teaching skills. Few assignments

I took Mr Kahlers online computer class this summer and learned a bunch. He is very transparent and his course is easy to follow. Dates of everything is outlined in the online course. I had a conflict with a hospital visit and he worked with me because I contacted him ahead of time and not 2 weeks after the exam. Would highly recommend!

He was good! you get several weeks to complete homework assignments and there's 4 exams including the final. I had questions and he was easily accessible outside of class and answer email quickly. I learned a lot!

Professor Kahler is very precise in his lectures & completes all homework assignments in class so you can follow along. He has short quizzes each week & an online exam in class each month. He does an extra credit assignment as well and some bonus quizzes. I recommend taking in person rather than online due to the specific steps you take in work.

Mr. K was wonderful. Looking forward to taking more classes with him.
