He gives great written notes. you dont even need the book. He emails all of the pictures, slides and illistrations you need. He really teaches! The tests are very fair. Just study your notes. He's very professional and easy going. I would definitely take his class again.

Great teacher...late all the time, but will answer questions after class. You can email him, but he won't respond unless the class bombard him. If you review the powerpoint presentation and rewiew questions you should pass the class.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He explains everything in a way that you can actually understand and put it to use. I would definitely take him again!!

Very good teacher. Helpfull. Knows his stuff. Uses power point. Could not be easier. Gives revie sheet before test with everything that is going to be on the test. Easssssssssy A if you will study review sheet. Great great teacher !!!

Dr Mayfield really knew his stuff. But was also the absentminded professor. He never responds to emails or post notes when he say he would. He always have a reason why he forgot. As far as the class, he was very knowledgable and did a great job teaching. Oh and did I say how attractive he is.

Dr. Mayfield is the best science professor I've ever had. He's brilliant & has a cool sense of humor. I loved lecture. I hear people on the flakiness issue, but you know what? He doesn't sweat every little thing about his students, so cut him some slack. He's all about what's important - the material - and excels at it. I miss him!!

Dr. Mayfield was an EXCELLENT professor and an even nicer individual. His lectures are intense but he gives you the slides as well as a review sheet with pretty much ALL of the test questions. He answers EVERY question and is quite brilliant. We talked college basket ball after class. My only complaint was, he was late. I would take him anytime!!!!

The only reason you wouldn't do well in this class would be you, He's a great prof that totally knows what he's talking about and makes the material applicable to real life situations. love him.

Prof mayfield is the best science teacher ever. He knows his stuff and does not mind sharing his knowledge. Also he relates the lessons to real life situatios and is fair, easy going and funny. I would take him for all of my classes if possible.

Great teacher, very knowledgeable!!! Only bad thing is he shows up late to class which really isn't that big a deal but he never returns emails! And if he does it will be 3 weeks later! But he does relate material well and always has reviews/outlines for class!

Prof. Mayfield is a great professor! He does a really great job connecting A&P to actual health professions. Even though his tests do not involve easy, straightforward questions, his lectures were great and covered everything that were on his tests. I recommend Prof. Mayfield if you actually want to learn about A&P, not just pass.

i took dr.mayfield last spring. he is clear in his lectures and organized in his presentations. his tests were not confusing at all. he wanted us all to succeed. i would highly reccommend.

He was ALWAYS late and not respectful of other people's time. However, I learned so much in his class. I didn't just memorize the text. If you do the study guides and read what he assigns you will get an A. I pretty much aced every test. If you don't he'll give them back for to to correct for extra points.

He is not as hard as many people say, just keep up with what he is doing in class. As long as you put the time in and are prepared to study, you will do fine. Use all the available resources, textbook, notes, review sheets, use google and youtube...

Best instructor that I had at CCP! Very knowledgeable in A&P and clearly enjoys teaching. Wants you to really learn the material and teaches like it. Has a webpage with LOTS of helpful study resources, and exams all come from lectures and study guides. Take him if you're serious about learning. I'd stay away if I was just trying to pass.

Great Lecturer. Knows material very well. Passionate about teaching. Hes definetely an instructor you want to learn from. As long as you do your part you will walk away from his class with excellent knowledge of the material. Multiple lecture and lab exams + extra credit which helps to increase the overall score. You can get As if thats your goal

I was impressed, he really knows this stuff. If you want to learn the material, he's a great teacher but stay away if you want an easy A. There were 8-10 exams but no homework. I thought the exams were fair or even easy, as long as I knew the material but over half the class dropped out. Some communication issues, mostly around changing exam dates.

I had to drop his class due to my work overload at the hospital.. hes an excellent professor and I would take him again... he knows his stuff.. like come on think about it in the real world you have to know your stuff . If you want an easy a then go find another professor. But you can learn alot in his class and walk away feeling good.

Dr Mayfield is very intelligent. He knows this subject by heart. Students need to read and understand everything even if he says its not on the test; it is. No homework, use your textbooks to help you remember, read everything on canvas, and he gives extra credit on all exams.

Professor Mayfield is a great teacher. If you follow his directions, read your assignment, form a study group you will pass. IF YOU MISS HIS CLASS AND BE ON YOUR CELL PHONE YOU WILL NOT PASS. He is a very passionate teacher who loves to teach. You will get a whole lot of information. The key is study as soon class is over. Good luck

Prof. Mayfield is SO passionate about this course. He clearly knows his stuff very well - always loves answering questions about the subject and how it relates/applies to real life. Class wasn't easy though - definitely need to read and STUDY. Gives lots of extra credit. Gives out study guides to help prepare for tests. Labs were boring, but fine.

Dr. Mayfield's a brilliant professor and one of the most caring at CCP. He explains the material really well and tries to make sure you understand it. He gives very helpful study guides for each exam and extra credit. Come to class and read the textbook regularly to pass. Nursing is tough and his BIOL 110 class will prepare you well for it!

I took a 6-week version of A&P II. Dr. Mayfield really knows his stuff! Made the lectures really interesting, easy to understand, and encouraging if you fall behind in the course. Very helpful study guides and tells you exactly what you need to know for his exams. If you want to get prepared for nursing or PA school, take his course!

Prof. M is truly the definition of a passionate mentor. His knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology is so widespread - he knows the facts, and can apply them to practical, real-life scenarios. This class is not an easy A, but if you're determined and really serious about the healthcare field, he will help you succeed. Great professor all around!

Anatomy and physiology is definitely a tough class, but Professor Mayfield did an awesome job helping us learn the material. He prepares you for all of the exams and the study guides are great. He does his job as a Professor, but you definitely have to be committed as well by studying coming to class and ensuring you understand the material.

Dr. Mayfield is absolutely scholarly about human anatomy and physiology. He will help you to understand the material, and provides study guides for all exams! He is an extremely motivating professor. He wants the best for his students in the classroom, and in their chosen careers! Take BIO 109 with Dr. Mayfield and you will be forever grateful!

Dr. Mayfield really knows his stuff. He conveys difficult material in a really understandable way. Others have complained about the difficulty but I had no problem with his class. As long as you study and put the effort in, you'll get graded accordingly. He loves the material and its obvious. I would definitely take his class again if I was able.

Prof. Kory was one of the best lecturer I had have in CCP. He was always ready to teach and answer questions at any time. The most amazing qualities of Prof. Kory is his ability to draw diagrams on the broad to demonstrate his teaching. I never knew I would understand the mechanism of the HEART till Kory explained it in the class. Kory is GOOD.

Dr. Mayfield is a great teacher, you just need to know that you have to read a lot and be on the game because BIO 213 is a heavy class with a lot of memorization. Professor Mayfield did a fantastic job, especially in the Summer. I had to read so much and fast. It does help to read ahead for the class, but If you haven't, he will make you understand

Great prof ! Very knowledgeable and you can tell he enjoys teaching and wants you to learn. Covers a lot of material but if you study, you'll be fine. He makes sure he connects everything class by class so things make sense from body system to body system. I definitely walked away feeling I was ready for A&P2 for sure !

Professor Mayfield is very passionate about the material. The class is lecture and exam heavy. He is willing to help you pass his class as long as your willing to put forth effort.

I enrolled in the 10 week course for Fall 2019 with Dr. Kory Mayfield. He is knowledgeable, passionate about A&P and interested in his students learning the material. His lectures are interesting and clear. He provides study aides/guides which help to the material as well as prepare you for the exams. You will work hard, but you will learn much.

If you are truly interested in a career in science, take Dr. Mayfield. He knows A&P frontwards and backwards. I learned a lot in his class and felt prepared for Biology 110. Let me be clear. You have to READ and STUDY. He will not bump up your grades. YOU have to EARN the grade. STUDY everything. Study then, use his study guides.

Very knowledgeable and straightforward with grading. However, the grading system is not the fairest as your entire grade is based on exams and no other assignments which hurt me because of test anxiety. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!- Do all extra credit assignments. They really make a difference to your grade. They bumped my grade from a D to a C.

Professor Mayfield is knowledgeable, but his teaching style can be a bit disjointed. Definitely put in the work - read the textbook, use his study guides, and try unstuck AI for extra prep. Tough class, but doable with dedication.
