Very easy to understand. He tries to help you get the grade you need by working with you and offering opportunities to boost your grade, through attendance etc.

He was helpful and clear. Math is a subject you must practice. So do your homework and your computer assignments and you will do fine. He's test are multiple choice.

the class was pretty easy. i had an B in his class. and when the whole class did pooly on a test he offered extra credit. although he was really childish and obnoxious and annoying. he was hopping around and singing and complaining about his wife during class. the students didnt really respect him much and he got walked all over. nice guy though :)

This teacher is pretty awesome. He gives you every possibility to succeed. If you participate in class, do your assignments you will pass this class. If you struggle in Algebra this class is for you. He breaks it down and teaches on a level you can understand. Tests are multiple choice. Very nice and friendly guy. Ask questions!

He was very enthusiastic about subject. He sought and answered questions in class. He gave multiple strategies for operations. He was humorous in class and kept the subject as light and easy as possible. He gave opportunities for extra credit. This requires time and he repeated that throughout the class. I enjoyed the class and professor.

He is very thorough in his teaching, and provides great additional notes with all the steps for the math problems worked out. Mr Demarais is one of the best professors I've ever had. Very knowledgeable! If you follow his instructions in class, there's no way you will fail. His goal is to ensure that you succeed. All you have to do is show up, follow his instructions, and do your part. He's one of the best! If you want to succeed, he's the one to take for any math courses.

Mr D is a GREAT professor. There is a lot of material to cover in this class. If you follow his instructions and do your part in the class you will do great. He welcomes any questions and makes sure he answers so you understand. If you pick him you will learn the material. He is very smart and approachable.

Had Mr. Demarais for College Algebra. I also had him for Intermediate Algebra. He's one of the best professors I've ever had. He works with you and is very flexible. I will highly recommend him to any students who wants to succeed. Do your part, he'll work with you.

Mr. D probably the best math teacher you are going to find. I've retaken MAC 1105 before so I know other styles. He dumbs down the material and goes slow on difficult topics and finds alternate ways of teaching a topic if you let him know your not getting something. He is a genuinely nice person, who cares about the success of each his students.

Mr. D is by far the very best math teacher I have ever had. Why? Because he honestly gives a damn about his students. He wants them to be successful in the classroom as well as out it. This teacher teaches math very simplistically. He does not complicate math concepts so much that you can not understand. His purpose is to touch on and cover the math topic thoroughly yet not in an overwhelming manner. His tests are on what he covers in class at a simplistic level.

Mr. D is awesome. One of the best math teachers you can take if you're bad at math. If you're not a good test taker, do the hw & show up for class (extra points) and you'll pass. Get help at the assesm. center if u need to. He is VERY fair, honest and usually has at least 1 take home test. If u SOMEHOW manage to fail his class, it's your own fault!

Professor D is so awesome! He will do whatever it takes to help students pass the course. This was my third attempt in the class. And I hate math because it is not my strongest subject. He is a verbal (auditory learners) instructor who explains what is asked and than with clear and very precise examples models the expectations (visual learners). Expects you to practice MathXL

Really funny but quickly goes through lectures. If math is a tough subject for you, you may end up teaching yourself a lot through the mathlab homework. good teacher though, love the fact that he let us use a reference sheet for tests!

Mr. Demarais is pretty quirky and fun spirited. I thought he was very professional and yet down to earth. Questions are answered quickly and he wants every student to succeed. He gives extra credit if you show up to class every day. I didn't need to purchase a book but I did need to buy the code for Math XL.

The Practice Tests are almost exactly the same as the test take some time to study and youll pass. Even if you dont pass the test there is extra credit tests and attendence extra credit. And btw mathway is your best friend for quizzes and hw real time saver. If you're thinking it's gonna be like Intermediate Algebra your wrong.

Great teacher! College algebra is definetly not an easy subject. I had to really, really work deligently on the homework and studying to get an A but I did it. It's alot of information being thrown at you for sure, but Mr. D is available pretty much 24/7 if you need help! He is a great guy with a funny, one of a kind personality.

I never thought I would actually enjoy a math class, but this one came pretty close. His class set up is great. Instead of a bunch of students sitting in rows listening to some boring professor ramble on, he has all students in interactive groups working on assignments. He is understanding and goes out of his way to help his students.

Dr. D was amazing. I hate math and I had trouble learning it in the past but this class really helped me learn and retain the information. Tests are a big chunk of your grade but you can use an index card for all of them, even the final. He has a odd sense of humor but it can be funny sometimes. Professor Demarais is hands down my favorite professor at IRSC. Not only is he kind and caring, but he is hilarious! He does all that he can to simplify the work so that his students can understand it better, and his tests are easy! He allows a note card for each test and 4 note cards for the final! I 10/10 recommend you to take his class.

I took this class as a last resort to replace a previous class, but I could not have had better luck. Prof. Demarais is funny and very open to conversation. His lectures are clear and to the point and makes sure were all on the same page. Grading criteria is also very straight forward. I would definitely recommend anyone to take his class.

If you have a difficult time understanding math concepts, then you definitely want to take Professor Demarais. He takes seemingly difficult math problems and teaches you methods that will make you ask why none of your other teachers in the past ever showed you that math can be fun. If you want to succeed, participation and attendance is key.

Actually just started this class and am typically HORRIBLE at math. He makes you comfortable with the work youre doing, and explains everything if youre not. I feel really good about being able to pass this class, even this early in the semester.

Professor D is one of the most caring math professors that you will ever meet. He is funny, kind and always willing to help students out. I took both MAT1100 and MGF2106 with him and I passed both classes with B's (and i'm not good with math) He makes math fun and understandable.

Professor D is a funny teacher overall. He's very honest on what he expects from you academically and understands if you aren't great at math. He uses other professors videos on portfolios so it's not hard to do. The homework & quizzes on ALEKS are unlimited. Also allowed 1 index card of notes on tests and 4 index cards on FINAL. Mr. Demarais is absolutely amazing. He is funny, accessible even AFTER class if help is needed, he makes powerpoints for the homework modules that help a bunch to explain things, and also grades the attendance that way class-skippers get the grade they deserve. Its overall very easy with Mr. D!

I went into this "hybrid" class not knowing what to expect and I HATE math. This class made me look at math from a whole different perspective. Professor Demarias care about his students so do not hesitate to reach out to him if you do not understand the work.

Probably one of the best professor's I took here at IRSC. Dr Demarais makes math easy. Expect to practice every day to do well in this class. Attendance is a must in this class. Professor Demarais an absolutely terrific profesor if you're willling to put in the effort to participate in his lectures, keep up with the extensive amount of homework, & maintain daily attendance. Math Professor Demarais is a great Professor, I took him for my MAT1033 class and he was very understanding and cleared your questions with whatever content you didn't understand. He also offered Extra Credit for the Tests taken throughout the course and it helped a lot for the overall Grade category for Tests. I recommend him as your instructor.

By far this is the best professor I have ever had. His class was not very difficulty. He helps when you need even if it is after hours. Just do your work on time and take your quizzes and test and it is a easy A. I highly recommend Dr Demarais to anyone who need to take this class. 5+ stars.

i took this as an online class and i had to meet up with everyone twice a week on blackboard collaborate. this course has a lot of homework but they are all due a specific day so you can take your time doing them. the quizzes are also online and they are not proctored. the exams however are proctored but Mr.kris only makes you turn on your camera.

Dr. Demerais is an amazing professor who cares for his students. I hadn't taken Algebra 2 in high school, so the class was challenging for me. Despite this, I was able to overcome the challenges I faced. Dr. Demerais answered any questions I had, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys teaching.

He is an amazing teacher, he cares about his students and he takes his time explaining the assignments, and he makes the lectures understandable. He treats all his students like family.

Dr. D is one of the best professors here at IRSC I would recommend him 100% of the time. Even though the class was difficult Dr. D helped as much as he could with the many resources he provided and also he is very caring and understanding. Overall 11/10 teacher.

Dr. Demarias is an extremely caring teacher. He wants his students to pass and will do anything to help his students. He helped me pass this class and I'm very grateful.

Dr. Demarais is very good at providing help and giving feedback and he is a very engaged professor. You can really tell that he wants his students to succeed with all the opportunities he provides for us. He also makes sure that students have multiple resources to learn from and many lecture videos. He makes math a little easier to deal with.

This was my 3rd attempt at taking College Algebra and I finally succeeded with Dr. Demarais as the professor. He made it easier to succeed by providing all of the support materials needed. He doesn't overload you with copious amounts of repetitive hw that make your eyes bleed, but just enough to ensure that you understand the concepts!

Pay attention and do the written journal and work

Prof. Demarais has logical strategies for solving equations that make more sense to me than past teachers I have taken. To be in his class for MAT1033, it will require a lot of self discipline as the work is expected to be completed individually, yet Prof. Demarais provides more than enough resources for you to succeed.

I have taken college algebra multiple times and succeeded with Dr. D. He does offer many opportunities to boost your grade. He will always help outside of class if you have doubts about the material. However, his teaching style is not the best if you are not strong in math, it's kind of like a flipped classroom. I struggled but you can do it!

Dr. Demarais is very caring and goes the extra mile to make sure students understand the material. The course is hard and there is a lot of homework, but he is fair. He is also very engaging and hilarious! One of the best professors I have had so far. Make sure you get into his class. He will make it worth your while.

Dr. Demarais is one of the best instructor I've taken. He gives ample opportunity to pass his class, just do the work, show up for lecture, and do all extra credit he offers. I struggle in math so I am content with my grade being a C. If you have any issues, talk with him he is very understanding and works with his students. Go to his office hours.

He was great. I took an online class, so there was no lectures. But there was tons and tons of videos provided to help with everything, and he always answered emails in less than 24 hours. Would take again.

Professor D's MAC1105 class has great resources, like helpful videos and engaging lectures. Using unstuck ai alongside the course materials really helped me grasp the concepts. The workload is manageable if you stay on top of it.
