Very very good teacher for an otherwise boring class (Texas State&Local Gov't) - He made the class interesting and is a very funny and intelligent guy. He is an asset to the college and it's too bad he's an adjunct (I think). Highly recommended if you are a liberal student interested in government

Prof. Seago is one of those long haired, easy going, quasi-hippie professors. Despite this his teaching abilities are untouchable. He's got the ability to make most students sit up and care about local gov't. His lectures and study guides give you what you need to ace the tests, but you still have to try. Outstanding prof, but no easy A.

Took this an an online class and it was quite a bit of work. Prof. Seago is very helpful though, answers all emails and tries to explain everything. He seems like a nice guy, and the political blog was actually kind of fun. :-) There is a lot of reading involved though and a lot of deadlines to follow. Would recommend this online class.

Seago is a great teacher. He's really helpful and makes himself available for students. His class is set up to really kind of force students to form opinions and I think that's the best way he could have done it. Tests were easy if you read the material. Very helpful comments on assignments and very clear expectations. I'd take his class again.

Mr Seago is one of the best teachers out there. The distance learning class is a lot of reading but his tests are straightforward, no tricks. I took him for 2305 and 2306 and I'm glad I did both times.

Great teacher, I love the blog section of his TX govt class. I think everyone would learn a little bit more about their world if they took his calles...I only wish I would have taken him for us govt too, but I didn't so!

took his distance 2305 class...it was easy because the reading was interesting. there are the usual chapters in the textbook to read, but his use of other reading material is what makes it stick in your mind, which makes the tests a breeze! great course, i actually ENJOYED taking a govt course. wow.

Took this DL since I had no desire to be lectured at about dumb politics twice a week, but I actually got really into it. The teacher uses sources other than the book which makes it a lot more interesting, and gives students a lot of free range writing a blog. His instructions are always clear, and he is quick to respond to emails. Great professor.

He's definitely NOT a brain-washing liberal professor, he's very open minded and respects everyone's political views just as long as you have one. 4 Exams, 4 Discussions, 7 Blog posts. His lectures are very fun and very entertaining! I took his once a week hybrid class and he responds quickly to e-mails. Highly recommend, easy A!

This is a very nice professor! you can easily earn an A. I got a B because I'm kind of lazy. Just do your posts in the blog, also all the participation topics and be free to express your own opinion, he likes that. The only difficult part is that if you are taking a distance learning class you will have to read all that book pretty well.

I took the ONLINE Course, He is AMAZING! He answers every question VERY quickly. He encourages lots of questions and helps you with everything you need help with. He allows you to believe whatever you want, just as long as you can articulate it. Even through the online course I am learning tons. I love him and suggest him to EVERYONE!

I took the online class and it was a breeze. Super easy, and fairly interesting. Seago gives you extremely helpful study guides for each exam. The class discussions were always entertaining and engaging. The online class is extremely well organized and intuitive. I highly recommend it.

I was surprised by this class. There is a lot more engagement from the prof and peers when compared to a typical online course. There is a lot of overlap from history, so take those first, if possible. I did not want to write a blog, but it was interesting. A lot of homework, but overall worth the effort. A good class with a great professor.

This teacher is awesome,and this class was my easiest class this whole semester. I did a hybrid class which requires lots of work online. Do it, its easy and you MUST go to the SI sessions. They are free and basically make you an on your test.

Best teacher I've had so far. Lectures are all on powerpoints with slides with usually a sentence TOPS. There was never a class where you didn't laugh. 4 tests which he gives you a study guide. Chapters were on the study guide but I honestly never read them and still made an easy A. Makes you post a blog every 2 weeks, easy. HIGHLY RECOMEND

I love this class! The blog was a little bit annoying, but it was easy to understand and easy to make an A in. I wouldn't of made an A without the SI sessions with Brandon. They are SO worth it.

Took this during Summer Session. Did not give extra credit/SI sessions during this time. However was a very easy class, I thought the blog would be annoying but turned out to be fun. Grades very leniently. Hardest things were the Tests (due to lack of time) but were all fact based questions from the online book and his online links.

Kris is awesome - easily one of the best professors I have ever had. I really respect this guy and appreciated him making Government a class I enjoyed. Took both US and Texas Gov't classes with him. If I'd needed another credit for a class he taught, I would have taken it too.

No text book needed It's online & free. Absolutely enjoyed it! He offers S.I classes that you can go to and discuss the material that is discussed in class. Go to these SI classes and you get an A. They review for every exam. Take class Thursday so you can get the review on Tuesday SI Class and then have two days to study it. He's a great teacher!

Professor Seago was aware that many taking the class only did so as a requirement, yet he got students interested in, or at least to acknowledge the importance of, participating in the American political system. He's funny and his lectures were clear and interesting. Pay attention, go to the S.I. sessions, do the blogs on time, and do the reviews.

Just listen to lectures, do blog (hw), review over study guide, get an A. I'm not a government buff at all, and not even interested in it until these classes. I actually know something about it know and can help my kids with the subject too. Kris is truly the best prof. I've taken, and would take another class if he was teaching.

If you show interest, he'll get you connected with programs and opportunities to help you. Is more interested in you learning than in your grade. Inspires an actual interest in the subject and makes it relevant. Good at maintaining mostly non-partisanship and controlling class discussions. Excellent.

Take this professor! He keeps it fun and interesting 4 tests, 30 multiple choice/4 fill ins/ 2 one page essay questions. Gives you everything you need to know in the study guide. Including the exact essay questions that will be on the test. Just need to write your essays the night before and copy them down on test paper. Super easy and fun class.

Professor Seago gives a lecture almost every class but they are very interesting and interactive. He makes the material clear and relatable to students. Homework is fairly simple. Test are almost straight from the lectures so be sure to take notes. Textbook is free online, which I didn't read once and made an A. Highly recommend this any student.

Seago's a super cool dude. His lectures are never boring: he keeps the pace fast/exciting and offers a lot of help. I honestly thought politics were so incredibly boring and confusing, but he made it super easy to understand. Tests are a little hard, but if you do the study guide you'll be fine. Put in effort and he'll recognize it.

Awesome curriculum! Up to date, relevant, and challenging! Required course but ended up liking it. It was a 5 week class, exam every week but as long as you read and participated then you'll pass no problemo! Prof took time to solve problems and answer questions. When obstacles surface he will work with you to complete the course. :)

Took the DL class. He grades everything in a timely manner and gives good feedback. Sends out reminders of due dates the week and day of. Clear grading criteria for the many assignments. Don't have to get A's on tests to get A in the class. Study guides are very helpful. Overall an enjoyable class with a good professor.

Hands Down the best Govt Professor! Personally Iv'e never been horrible in my past Government courses, but Professor Seago's Teaching Style is A1. US Gov flipped class: enjoyed going to class! Great lectures, participation optional but enjoyable, easy writing assignments that make you think, easy tests. Going to S.I. sessions once or twice will get you an A on the test, period. Very little studying or reading outside of S.I. sessions. Take it!

Seago is very down to earth and funny! Most of your grades will be online (blog assignments and participation topics) they are very fairly easy, a lot better than quizzes. The tests are a breeze if you go to SI sessions! I can't stress how much they helped me! If you do the assignments and study for the tests it's an easy A :)

I took the 8 week online course, so it was obviously a fast paced course. 4 tests total due every other week, with 4 participation topics due the week of the tests. Dr. Seago was very clear with reading schedules and grading, and reminded us every week of deadlines. Although it was fast paced, Dr. Seago made the course very easy to do well in!!!

You will create a blog that will be used throughout the semester. His lectures are engaging & he offers extra credit events you can attend. GO TO S.I. as many times as you can. 1 point is added directly to your test everyday you attend. & the S.I. leader knows whats on the test(this is the only reason I passed my exams with A's). This professor is amazing! I took a hybrid course and it went perfect. He is very clear what he wants you to do outside of class and sets the dates at the beginning of the seamster so nothing is sprung on you. Gives lots of extra credit. Also has an SI leader that if you go to right before the test will make sure you're fully prepared.

As someone who wasn't thrilled to take a government course, Seago made it a lot of fun. His lectures were very interesting and engaging, and he was able to convey boring information in a more approachable manner. I LOVED the hybrid-style of this course - class 1x/week and then some online assignment (blog post, participation on bb). Easy A.

He's immediate to respond, respectfully during business hours. 4 graded practically-opinionated discussion topics and 4 exams (multiple choice and 2 short-answer-essay ?'s) all taken online. I took his online 12 week government class and absolutely loved it. He does not give too many assignments and is not a harsh grader at all. I would definitely take this class if you are wanting to learn a lot, but never feel overwhelmed.

He was a great prof but his class was soooooo boring and he lectures the entire time. The tests were hard because I couldn't pay attention in class because it was boring. If you like government then I highly recommend him! But if you hate gov and suck at it, you may want to take a more interactive class without this much lecturing

There are 4 test and 4 participation forums. Tests are basically open book and are based on the reading material (e-book and pdf links). I worked 2 jobs while taking 10 credit hours and still got an A without the extra credit. If you do not get an A in this class then you should not be in college

Good professor, I took history two as an online 8 week class and felt as if it were the easiest of all my classes. Tests are online and open notes, the discussion boards are easy to complete. Good class altogether

My favorite professor by far. Makes learning fun. Tests are online at home and super easy. This class is an easy A. I already signed up for him again next semester.

Professor Seago is head of the history department so he is highly respected and knows the information he is teaching. All you have to do is show up and learn and Professor Seago will work with you the rest of the way. His US GOVT class was easily my most favorite class while at ACC would 100 percent recommend to anyone.

Took online class and I HAD to take the time to rate professor Seago. Take this class, read, participate and you will get an "A". NO doubt. There is extra credit offered. She responds back to you in a timely manner. Lots of reading but prepares you for the test. No book to be purchased, the online book is available through blackboard.

Great professor, very easy work!

I highly recommend Seago!! Took his 8 week DL, only 4 take home exams, was not difficult. If you do not make an A, you are not putting in the effort. It is a lot of reading, but without it, you won't make the grade. He did offer a one time extra credit which I suggest you not miss out!

Took this class online - 4 tests that include essay questions you can do on your own time by the due date, 4 participation topics that are timely and applicable to current events. Fair grading. Do the reading, be thoughtful with your essays and be thoughtful about your grammar. I didn't think I would initially, but I enjoyed taking this class!

Seago lays out everything pretty well and sends reminders. Get ready to read , though. He wrote the book and provides the readings. 4 online exams, 60 mins each, two 250-word essays per exam. To me, exams were tough, but manageable. Be cognizant of your punctuation and grammar, because he will deduct pts. I dislike govt, but this class was OK.

Enjoyed her class this summer! Material consisted of tests and essays. Textbook was free and clearly correlated to exam material. Short essays were on interesting topics that were relevant to present issues, making discussions interesting. I would take her class again and highly recommend others to take Texas Gov online through her!

Professor Seago wants you to learn not only Texas Government, but how to interact and communicate with others about different conversation points relating to Texas. He encourages discussion and different viewpoints. His instructional goals are well laid out, and the use of different media (video, online text, etc) for learning was helpful.

If you get the chance to take this class please do so. The grading criteria consisted of participation topics (4) and exams (4). If you fill out the study guide and review it, I assure you, you will get a good grade. He's a very easy-going professor and the work that he gives is manageable. I encourage you to take his class if you can!

Professor Seago is a must-take professor! Very down-to-earth and realistic. If you are trying to decide between him and another professor, take him! I promise you won't regret it. He gave chances for extra credit, which isn't really needed as the tests are easy. 4 objective questions & essay exams, and 4 discussion board posts.

Seago is definitely one of my top professors, he has a passion for what he teaches and if i could, i would take more of his classes.

Dr. Seago makes the content of this course very accessible and gives great feedback on assignments and tests. This is a better way to have a government class, you will peel back the layers of pageantry and really look at the system. He records lectures, provides supplemental reading and encourages intelligent discussion.

The structure of the class makes it super easy. He gives lots of articles to read but has a study guide so you'll know what to take notes on. Only 4 exams (open notes) and 4 discussion boards (250-word minimum). You'll learn plenty of government once you are done. He is a great professor who explains each topic very well. Has study sessions too

Seago gives great feedback on essay questions. 4 discussion posts + responses. 4 exams (two parts each: mc & essay questions). Turn in assignments on time. Open note exams. Use the resources he provides to complete the discussion posts! They are helpful. Video-recorded lectures are available.

Seago is chill, and he answers all of the class's questions. He provides opportunities to increase your grade. He also has a good sense of humor! Just get ready to write a lot of papers + essays tho, most of the grading is based on your writing. I'm not sure about the bare min to achieve an A grade, cuz I was too anxious and always did the max.

Professor Seago knows his stuff. The lectures are informative and not dry. Conversation on the material is accepted and respected. Attendance is not mandatory, but the notes from class come in extremely helpful during tests. There was a free online textbook used for my class. Outside of class, he is fast to respond to emails. Grades quickly.

Very easy professor, the material was extremely easy for me, because it is within my area of expertise. I don't know if he is a very good teacher, because it really is not a very in-depth class like math is. But for what he teaches he does very well. Tests are open everything and you have a week to do them. Participation topics are opinion essays

Seago is a great teacher, he's a straight up teacher and his tests are online, he gives you 1 week to do the test and he's not a tough grader at all, as long as you do your tests and discussion boards you will get an A easily.

Great professor who is clearly very passionate about his subject. I took US Gov and it was a very easy class, assuming you pay attention. He is always happy to help if you are struggling in the slightest. Cannot recommend more.

This professor is amazing. He give such entertaining lectures, and really care about his students. He is funny, and even fun extra credits. I strongly recommend him for anyone that government isn't their best subject because he makes it easy.

Grades are mostly based on tests, with some extra credit opportunities. Super nice and fun professor and creates a wonderful space for talking about current events and discussing them as a class. Overall one of my favorite professors I've had this semester.

I can't recommend Dr. Seago enough. Despite being one of the most intelligent and politically informed professors I've ever had, he is lighthearted and makes class fun. The class is so engaging that you will find yourself learning the material passively. I really love this guy, do yourself a favor and take his class if you get the chance
