Great at explaining math. Had several ways to explain everything if you didn't understand. Homework between every class, weekly quizzes. Homework graded on 0-2 scale, so as long as you tried you got credit. Not too much hw assigned, enough to understand. Very, very nice women, really willing to help outside of class

Extremely nice teacher who covers the material almost too well. In this sense I mean that I often feel babied in class because its soo easy and I dont feel pushed as much. If you're new to the math shes teaching, you're in luck, but if you're looking for a little review this class is rather slow paced.

Krisan is great. I am terrible at math but needed this class for my major. She explained everything clearly and always had time to see me when I just didn't get it. There is a heavy work load, but she's good about giving you extensions if you really need it. The exams are fair (not designed to trick you) and she's really nice.

Krisan was a great professor for calculus. She was clear with expectations and prepared us for the tests and quizzes. Very rarely was I confused, but I could easily go over my notes to figure it out.

What a gem. Super caring; genuinely wants her students to do well. Attendance isn't mandatory, although ocassionally she gave extra credit to those who came to class. Weekly homework and quizzes, but homework can be redone to get 100%, and the quizzes are take-home. She'll make you not afraid to do calculus!

Although this class was asynchronous, she still did her best to communicate with us through email and other ways to give us that personal bond that she would've easily been able to do if this class were in person. She is also very reachable, and very understanding when it comes to grading or turning things in late.

Since this class was asynchronous, we really did not get to interact with Dr. Geary however her videos that we needed to watch were very informative. Personally, I have taken Calculus 1 last year so for the most part, this class was a review and I did not open the textbook once. Due dates and grading are very straightforward and easy to follow.

Krisan Geary is a literal gem of a person. I thought I was bad at math until I took her class, when I realize that I wasn't bad at math; I just hadn't been taught the right way. I took her for pre-calculus and am currently taking her for Calculus 1. Both are online, self directed courses, but she's so good at communication it doesn't feel like it.

Krisan was a great professor to have for my first semester of college. She is very detailed in her lectures and all of her instruction is clear and effective. However, I've seen how dedicated she is to making sure every student understands. She's super nice and shows a pic of her dogs before every class. Prof Geary is one of the most caring and understanding professors at the school. I have always struggled with math and math teachers, but she takes things slow and explains the material in a way that is understandable. All lecture notes are available online as well as practice sheets with corresponding answers. Take this class !

I have yet to finish this class, but it is already very clear that she is an amazing prof and cares about her students. If you need to take math classes for your major, take one of her classes!!! She makes difficult concepts easy to understand, and does lots of practice problems for every concept that we learn. Exams are half online & in-class too!

Best and kindest math teacher I have ever had in my entire life. There to help if you need it. Easy to get your grade up because each quiz is online with four attempts, and every test is half online and half in person, with three attempts on the online section.

Loved Prof. Geary. Everyday she would show the dog picture of the day and it was her adorable 2 dogs. The material at hand is difficult at times, but she is always there to help you when needed. We used a software called ALEKS which was pretty easy to use and get along with. there were weekly quizzes, but they were very short.

I absolutely loved Krisan, I took MATH 19 and 20 with her and I wouldn't have wanted to take them with anyone else. As someone who struggled with math in high school, I was nervous about taking calculus last semester. But Ms. Geary is an amazing professor who made things clear and understandable. I went to almost all her office hours and she was always kind and supportive. She even went out of her way to set up extra review sessions for struggling students.

I can't say enough good things about Professor Geary. I struggled in Calc 1 and then took Calc 2 with her and I've never had a math teacher who is so clear, organized, accessible and caring. She makes everything make sense, and she also has videos on Brightspace of all the lecture content so if you miss class you can catch up so easily.

Krisan was the catalyst to my love affair with calculus, even coming from hating math my entire childhood. Took MATH020 and 021 with her in 2019 and 2020. To this day, I still do calculus for fun and review the old assignments with fondness. I am now heading a new municipal subcommittee for data analysis.

She has really great lectures that explain each topic or unit in the easiest way to understand, this is super helpful in regard to the material being taught. There are definitely a lot of quizzes and exams but it is very clear what is on each one and she gives lots of helpful review material for exams.

I loved my fundamentals of calc 2 class with Krisan Geary this semester. She is very good at teaching in a way that is fast paced, but you also get the chance to ask lots of questions. I would say the exams are very fair. She also starts every class with a different picture of her very cute dogs and is genuinely such a kind soul.

krisan is very kind and understanding. quizzes and homeworks are online, as well as some % of all written exams. there are two written exams and one final exam. she had my final on one chapter instead of cumulative, but this may change yearly. overall easy if youre good at math and doable if you are not. (i am not the best but still got by)

Krisan is an amazing professor and person. The course is specific to education majors, and I'm almost certain is required for elem. ed. There typically homework after almost every class, but it is super easy and quick especially if you pay attention in class. She offers an extra credit question on each exam (there is 2 + a final).

I'm awful at math, and was super nervous for this class, but Krisan teaches in a way that made me finally understand topics like long division and algorithims that never clicked for me. I took Dr. Geary for MATH 1212 (fundamentals of calc I). I have never been a math person, but I LOVED this class. Krisan is incredibly kind, understanding, and an amazing teacher who explains complicated topics very well. Her office hours are helpful and she provides a ton of extra resources. Prof Geary is the best! There are weekly quizzes but she drops one and is clear about what they're going to be on (a lot of the time the homework questions (unlimited attempts) are harder than the quizzes). The class is paced well and she's suuper friendly if you reach out with questions!! If you are going to take calc, take it with her!!
