People state that she teaches fast, maybe so, but she does give time for questions. I found the majority of time the students just sat like logs and were not very proactive in her class. She doesn't explain textbook material at all or add ANY of her own knowledge-lectures almost wordforword out of the textbook. She frequently makes mistakes about material. Assigns no homework, 75% of grade is based on exams. And she's vague about how to prepare for exams. However, she grades fairly. If at all possible take Schomber instead!!!!

Not personally interested in chemistry and find it difficult, but Prof Pendyala is good at explaining difficult concepts and she makes sure everyone understands the material.

Best professor I've had so far. She really cares about her students and tries to help everyone and make sure they understand the material. For a difficult class, she puts everything very simply and makes it easy to understand. A lot of studying required, but with the material covered that's to be expected. Also had her for lab and she was amazing.

I took her for CHM101 and CHM111. I would keep taking her if she teaches more classes. The lectures were slow paced, and she made sure that we understand it. Labs were heavy though. Extra bonus was just a small part, so you'd need to do the work.

I had a wonderful expiernece with this teacher. Main point being as long as you try you can very easily succeed. She is very caring and be willing to work with you in order for you to succeed. A lot of the content was explained very well and tests had questions that were similar to the ones in lecture. This class can be very easy if you take her.

i only had her for lab, but immediately i knew she was a tough grader. she didn't even bothering grading one of my first assignments because i didn't do it the way we were taught i did it and easier way. she's somewhat ok at explaining material. i wouldn't not recommend her but she's not my first choice

As long as you fully read BOTH part 1 and part2 of each lab, you should be fine. She always goes over what you need to pay attention to before lab and the calculations. She will answer any questions you have in lab or respond quickly to emails. If you put in the effort and come prepared, you'll do fine.

Dr. Pendyala was an incredible teacher. It was evident that she cared about her students and wanted every single person to succeed. She really wanted students to participate in class so make sure to do that when she asks questions. The class was very easy and she was also an easy grader. Four exams not including the final and lowest one is dropped.

Had her for lab and lecture and she was an amazing professor who took the time to break topics/labs down so they were clear. also offered some extra credit opportunities. had a variety of assignments to help you achieve a good grade. Grade was based on projects, labs, weekly quizzes, and five exams.

Tbh idk how she has such a high rating. She's not good at teaching, she j reads off slides & then expects us to know what she's talking about. When I ask questions ab stuff, she just passive aggressively tells me to look at the class notes/videos she posts on Canvas instead of actually helping me. I have to put in so much time/effort just to pass

Her class is split into a lab and a lecture and she is extremely helpful during both. Lectures are packed with material, its 13 week class so there is less time. Make sure you know how to solve chemistry math problems, she works through some in class. Lowest exam grade dropped. Make sure you dont miss any labs.

Dr. Pendyala is a challenging but fair professor. Take the extra credit when she offers it! She constantly asks for class feedback if she's going too fast or too slow, and she answers emails promptly when questions arise. She explains concepts clearly and frequently points to textbook problems for practice work, which is necessary for this class.

Dr. Pendyala is a good teacher and honestly a sweetiepie. She always makes sure that the class understands the material. If she senses that the class might not be ready for an exam, she takes a class poll to see if we want the exam date postponed. She easily provides links to everything in canvas and gives printable worksheets that are optional.

Dr. Pendyala truly cares about her students! The 13-week course is fast-paced but she makes sure everyone understands before moving on. She explains topics clearly and encourages participation. The textbook was only used as a reference. If you pay attention and do the work, you'll succeed. There are 4 core exams + cumulative final. Highly recommend

I loved this professor even though I don't love chemistry! She was excited by the subject and wanted students to understand the content well. She was always ready to answer questions. The labs built upon the lectures. All the resources needed to pass were easily accessible. The final grade and grading were broken down clearly

if you are good at chem and do not mind taking a science class online then i would recommend it. i like how she makes everything organized and well detailed for what we are expected to be on. I would suggest taking notes or watch short vids to help you grasp the context. I am not a chem person so things can get hard. use the extra credit as you can

Took her as a lab instructor and now I wish I had her for the lecture too. The labs are mostly simple (I've only had to repeat a lab procedure once). You have to work with a new partner every time for wet labs, but it's not too bad. The formals are ok, however, I was accused of using AI when I didn't but she didn't report me sooo.
