Class is not difficult if you have good attendance and note taking skills. She offers alot of extra credit points. Do them, they help alot. Can be pretty anal about attendance and participation in class discussions.

Must attend every class. It's not very difficult, but she assigns a lot of work. LOTS of quizzes and tests, she does, however assign extra credit. Some of the material I thought was irrelevant. Like on a question on a test asking what race is the most arrested and the answer being "whites". Class is all based on notes and movies, no textbook use.

I really don't understand why her rating is so extremely low! I've taken her for two classes, both of which I've made over 100% in. Sure, you have to do the reading, show up for class, and GASP! maybe even study for a test, but those are hardly ridiculous requirements IN COLLEGE. She gives an enormous amount of extra credit opportunities also.

I had her over the summer and I thought she was a really good teacher, she told us that we would have pop quizzes just like every other professor I have ever had. Yes you had to study but it was easy if you showed up. She made our class fun and everyone participated.

Love love love my Ms. Bailey. She is tough but if you show up and follow through you can make it. She encourages you to ask questions and participate. If you dont get something just go to her office and find out what went wrong. Shes a good christian woman and wants to help. This is college so if you dont get it ASK FOR HELP!! Love her!

At first I thought her class would be difficult due to her presentation of the course outline. Many people complained and whined because they were unable to follow instructions provided by Mrs Bailey. Good teacher and really knows the material. She expects you to actually participate in the lecture, read your chapters and do your assignments.

Great teacher! She teaches using tons of visual aids and provides outlines. Book is easy to follow. Tests are based on both notes and class discussion. Word of advice: show up everyday, email her if you can't, make sure you follow her instructions to a T.

Great visuals, easy to follow, the book is easy as well. Just listen to what she says because she will hint at what is on the test. She posts outlines on campus cruiser so look at those for an easy A. Email her if you miss a class, she is helpful.

She was a great teacher. If you don't like to read the book or actually participate, don't expect to pass this class. She requires students to actually pay attention and participate in lectures (unlike others). She wasn't that hard on grading, very understanding. Basically you can pass if you take notes and listen carefully.

She is passionate about the subject matter and is clear about what she expects. Participation in discussions and group projects is a must for her. She gives frequent extra credit and outlines. Her tests and quizzes are easy enough, if you do the reading. If you attend class and put forth some effort you will pass.

One of the best professors that I've had so far. The class itself is not hard if you are there, on time, and i you pay attention. In other words you get what you put in, she was very helpful at all times, she will always rspond to your emails and remind you of what is due when it's due. Was Always very clear. I loved her.

I loved the way this professor taught. attendance is very important and ur syllabus is your best friend. Videos and cpas are real important and extremely helpful with your grades and test. she will tell you campus cruiser is very important to look at each day because some things she fails to mention will be on there. id take this class again.

this proffesor is very interesting. She expects you to do the work and makes everything available to you on the sylibus at the beggining of the term, so if you ask a question she will say, "check the sylubis" She pushes you to do your best. if you want an easy class look somewhere else. I thoroughly enjoyed her course. I thought she had expectations but they were not hard to meet. She is very clear on what she expects and they are easy to reach with commitment. However,I am a Social Science major and am passionate about the subject. She is an encouraging professor and is well organized.

This is NOT an easy class. It was super interesting but you will receive a lot of work and a lot of reading. You must be on your A game with your notes, homework, reading, etc if you want to even pass this class. If you want a challenge and work above and beyond I'll recommend this class but if you're an average student this class will be very hard

I am glad I took her class for my first semester at college. It is difficult in a good way because you'll be more prepared for the expectations of other professors. She made the dull content a little more interesting. It is not an easy class but she tells you exactly what she wants from you from the very beginning.

Many people have rated Ms. Bailey low because they were angry. I rated with full honesty to help you out; everyone learns differently. My experience this semester has not been easy but worth it. I am actually learning in class, and applying that knowledge to my life. Is that not what we go to school for?

The assignments are pretty tough, especially the essay that you have to do that is a major part of your grade, you really need to plan in advance for this one, but as long as you participate in class, and genuinely try to have a connection, and try your best, she will be willing to work with you. The group discussions are the best.

I went in to this class very nervous after reading the syllabus. I knew it was going to be hard work & she would be a tough teacher. I was right. Ms. Bailey expects a lot, but she is clear in her expectations. She was always prompt wemail replies & I was able to talk with her several times in her office. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! IT'LL SAVE YOU!

Great online class! Loved this teacher. I could feel that she loves teaching and wants to get to know her students. Her material was clear and easy to understand. She gives great feedback and always answers e mails. If you attend class, and do what is asked, you should have no problems passing this course! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Bailey! I have thoroughly enjoyed her class. I got overwhelmed mid-term and dropped this class in a panic, after my math class was too much. She emailed me to ask why I had dropped given I was doing so well. She took the time to get me reinstated! She truly cares for her students and it shows!

What you put in, is what you get out. This is a hard class & you'll have to put in work if you want anything above a C, but it's doable if you apply yourself. Professor Bailey is very helpful, will respond to emails in a reasonable amount of time, & she wants her students to succeed, hence why she offers extra credit in times of need. No regrets!

Bailey is an awesome teacher, as long as you do what you're supposed to do things will be fine. You definitely choose what grade you get. Gives plenty of Bonus Quizzes and opportunities to receive a few extra points. Would definitely take more of her classes. (-:

she was a very good instructor, gave extra credit multiple times and encouraged us as individuals to do better. the only thing i did not like was having to do some paper through the ALC. other than that she keeps the class very entertaining and is helpful.

Mrs. Bailey loves her students and Sociology. She captures everyones interest with fun discussions and interesting information. I took this this as a night class, and Mrs. Bailey's upbeat attitude kept me awake and having fun quite frankly. Plenty of extra credit opportunities, she's always available for help, quizzes, straight forward tests.

Mrs. Bailey is one of the most amazing Professors I've had! When walking into her office its more of a welcome feeling no pressure behind it. Her class lectures aren't straight by the books either she takes everyday life lessons and uses them. SHE DOES NOT PUT UP WITH DISRESPECT IN HER CLASS! Cellphones are okay to an extent. LOVE YOU MRS. I took Prof. Bailey's online course Fall 2015 & it was an easy A. There was a quiz each week (total of 14 quizzes, each quiz was between 5-15 questions long), 3 Discussion Board assignments, 1 Final Exam (questions were from the quizzes), 3 Extra Credit opportunities & she dropped my lowest 2 grades. Read each chapter, do the quizzes too easy!

From what I've read, don't take her in class course -take her online course! I took her online course and it was way to easy! Read 1 chapter/week & complete the reading quiz, only 3 discussion board assignments and the final had all of the questions from the quizzes. You can also work ahead if you want because it's all posted online ahead of time.

She is very passionate about what she teaches. She is very involved with her students and you can tell that she really cares. She always finds a way to keep the class interesting and she always gives input.

Her class was so much fun and easy. I bought the book and used it like 3 times, her lectures is all you need for test and homework. Wonderful instructor.

There is a lot of reading you have to do but it helps so much when it comes to exam days. She gives you everything you will ever need on the first day of class! The beginning of the semester may seem hardest because you're being exposed to subjects you may not have heard of, but don't get discouraged, there are plenty opportunities to make good grades and do well in the class. She knows her stuff and loves participation because it really does help the discussions along, so speak up. And READ!

Mrs. Bailey is an amazing teacher. I was unsure about how I would like this class, but with her it makes you want to major in sociology. She is very down to earth and does not make you feel stupid. She gives tons of extra credit and plenty of opportunities to make an A. Would love to take her again. Highly recommend!!

Nice friendly professor, gives a lot of work but also gives a ton of extra credit. She expects you to show up and be prepared to work, easy A if you do what she ask.
