She has pets, and if you're not one of them you won't get a good mark.

Friendly and helpful. Really pretty too. I recommend her class!
Don't go to lecture, print off notes and read text, she is a useless teacher!
Excellent prof, and shes hot too!
She spends 1/2 the term going over things we learned in grade 6, then zipped through the rest of the material which was MUCH more difficult. I got a 97% on the first midterm, 60% on the second (lucky cus I didn't have a clue). She also has the messiest writing ever. She's super nice and helpful though.
Krista is awesome! she very helpful and understanding to students. Lectures are clear but a little speedy...but just go thro' the notes. Exams are fairly easy but you do have to study. Its possible to have an easy 90+ final mark with her. Take it for your Math req, b/c its not Calculus! Theres something sexy about her being pregnant...
Great Prof! As long as you go through her examples and understand, you will fly through her exams.
LOVED her! One of the best profs I've had. She gave out packages of M&M's in class, you have to love that! She's funny, bubbly, and her notes rock! Notes were posted on paws and then you add to them in class. Yes, her writing is messy and she does move quickly, but you are almost always out of class 10-15 mins early. Highly recommend her!
She's so cute and bubbly. Moves through the notes very quickly though.
Great Prof
I did not enjoy her much at all. Her information in class was not relevant to the Labs and her final was not clear at all. For ag you have no choice but to take her but dont't expect it to be very fun. She gave us a DAM seating plan. seriously
Great prof. She gave us a seating plan because idiots wouldnt shut the hell up! She likes what she teaches and is always good for some cazy story about her family or something
She explains things well and makes stats fairly interesting. She expects you to write quick on her exams. Two other people who took her class agreed that her exams were too long. This will be your downfall in her class otherwise you could get a 90%. Be ready to write quickly!
Excellent teacher.
She is extremely helpful. Responds quickly to emails. Overall is a great teacher. She makes Statistics understandable for people who just don't get it.
Cute face, crappy prof. Needs to go to "teacher school". Couldn't teach if her life depended on it.
Dr. Wilde is an excellent prof! She is really fun and easy to listen to. Her tests are very fair and straight forward if you go to class regularly, but a little bit too long.
Awesome Prof! Will do anything in her power to help you succeed in her class. Her tests are very fair. If you attend class and take notes, there is no reason not to get an 80+.
Best prof I have had so far. Attend class or listen to the podcasts, keep up with the material and you will have no problem passing this class with a high mark. Exams are straight forward and fair. She responds quickly to questions and is always willing to sit and help you out.
Amazing. I'm still blown away how she manages to take out so much time to make the class interesting & help students. Responds to emails in an instant. I found the txtbk to be a good extra help resource but not needed - depends on how you study. Just make sure you know how to do the problems and you'll ace the class no prob.
She is really hot, and she is teaching really really fast. However, it is easy to understand. It is easy to get high mark in plsc 315.
Excellent teacher. High energy, w/o being annoying. Clear, concise notes. Lectures are relevant to the course and quizzes. Labs are well explained. She makes stats seem interesting instead of dry.
This was the easiest stats class ever... comparable to other stats classes. take this one
Hands down the best prof I have ever had. Explained things very clearly, notes were excellent, labs well explained and easy. She even made things fun in a topic that I could have found pretty boring. If you have to take a stats course, take this one with her.
She's good and nice.
I found Krista was a great prof for the transition between high school and university becasue she cared and simplkified things. Exam questions are SO EASY! loved it!
Good class! She's friendly and energetic. Tests are fair. Textbook isn't really needed- just print off her Sample Q's and redo them and you'll do fine.
Class isn't as easy as people make it out to be. One of my lower marks
This class is hard and is stupidly designed. 60% final with 45 questions, what the heck?! Prof. is not hot for God's sake, are you guys retarded? Don't take this class if you don't need it; do Stats 244/245/246 for degree requirements. Is not a mark booster, be WARNED!
Extremely helpful prof, easy to talk to when seeking help. Wants you to do well
Not a helpful prof. MIdterms are easy but it doesn't matter because the final exam is worth most of your mark which consists of very few (but very long) questions so if you make a couple little mistakes in the whole exam your screwed. Classes are painfully boring. Tuesday and Thursday classes are hard to stay focused throughout.
Krista was a great Prof for Plant Science. Tended to stick strictly to what was already typed out on her slides but it was a good transition class from high school. Definitely take this class if you need a mark booster!
Don't buy text. You wont need it. Buy the online tutorial, it gives exam questions from every chapter and is of GREAT help. Her classes are boring, but it's a good mark booster. She reads everything straight from the slides.
Statistics- not my forte. But Krista made the material as simple as possible in an environment that was high in energy, something that can't be said for many statistics professors. My Tips - go to class because there was a few problems with the podcasts - don't buy the textbook, all information needed is on the slide - do buy the online tutorial!
horrible
Loved her weird sense of humor. Found her very helpful outside of class and in class for the most part was easy to learn from.
Krista was fantastic. Exceptionally clear and absolutely let you know what was required of you. Do not buy the textbook, but do get the online tutorial as this is extremely helpful practice for the tests. With a little dedication, this class is an easy A, and I thought Krista was excellent at making a try topic more engaging.
Pros: videos of lectures posted online, clicker questions help keep you awake, she goes over a lot of problems in class, she is very friendly and helpful, and you don't have to buy a text. Cons: none of the theory is taught, which makes the class boring and superficial (hope you like plugging numbers into formulas and looking at tables).
Krista is great prof! She repeatedly goes over questions and keeps the class involved. As the course progresses it becomes super confusing to follow along because she goes really fast but her online tutorial is a great assistant. She is a great prof but if needing a stats I wouldn't recommend her.
Awesome professor. She is animated about her topics. Exams were fair and you had all the material you needed to be fully prepared.
Loved her as a prof. She makes it very clear what you need to know.
I had her for both AGRC111 and Plantsci 314 - let me just say that she is probably the best professor out there on campus. Besides being very supportive, she has a habit of being VERY clear about her expectations for class evaluations.
Stats is not exciting, but Krista brought enthusiasm to every class, even when she was really sick. Her notes contain everything you need to know, and her example questions are just like those on the exams. There are no surprises. No need for the text, but her online tutorial has every exam question she has used in the past and is invaluable.
Really knows her stuff and presents stats in an understandable way. Super available for after-class help. All examsmidterms are multiple choice. Krista is a bit abrupt, but if you make sure the question you're asking is clear, you shouldn't have any problems.
Dr. Wilde is an EXCELLENT professor. Do not buy the textbook. On the other hand, her online tutorial is essential; if you do the tutorial questions and put time into your cheat sheets the midterm and final will be a breeze.
Really nice professor who has a great sense of humor!
Krista is an excellent professor. She definitely knows what she is talking about and tells you what things are important to know for exams, etc. Lectures are all posted online and really easy to follow.
Krista is really enthusiastic about plants. Really enthusiastic. It makes it more interesting to see how into it she gets. Good prof, and really nice. She seems willing to help at any time.
Krista was an awesome prof. All the lecture notes are fill in the blank! Highly recommend taking her class!
Great proff for agriculture 111. She knew her stuff, and would recommend anyone who has the chance to have her as a proff. There was no textbook needed for this class, along with no assignment, just a research poster project which there are tut sessions for. Easy project.
Krista is a great professor, you can tell she's passionate about agriculture and she's incredibly lively throughout her lectures which makes it much more enjoyable. She's also very approachable outside of class!
Don't take this class unless you are prepared to understand concepts at 100mph. Krista rifles through lectures and leaves students stunned.
teaches stuff, then says you don't need to know it once you've already learned it
Nice lady, but don't take her class unless it is a face to face class. She gives sample finals and review for quizzes, but honestly, the class sucked.
I really enjoyed Krista, she is very passionate about Ag which really helps you get into the material. She explains things well and makes jokes along the way to keep things interesting. All in all one of the best profs I have had.
I do not know what people are talking about.... She's a very good prof and the topics were not that hard. Put in the work and you could get over 90%. The class worked well as an online class.
Taking PLSC 214 online was a good choice, as long as you have the self-discipline to keep up with the schedule Krista provides. She's easy to listen to (she reads over her notes, and works out problems on the slides). I didn't need the text, but I had taken another stats before. The labs are an easy 20%. It was super easy to see her before quizzes.
She was very energetic and cares about her students. The labs were easy but the quizzes often needed a longer time limit. Overall she was a great prof!
Was an awesome prof! Really enjoyed her class
Dr Wilde makes a good attempt at making the course material interesting and succeeds for the most part. Posts fill in the blank notes which can grab from class or via lecture capture. She is great at getting back to students with any questions or concerns you have with the class or tutorials. Her questions on the exams are straightforward and fair.
Although this is an online class, Krista did a really good job at getting information across through the video lectures. She truly wants you to succeed and letting students use cheat sheets and being honest with whats on the final is very helpful. Copy the practice final onto the cheat sheet and you'll crush the final! Overall good statistics class
Krista was a good prof, made the online class very easy. Lets you take basically anything into the final, which is good for a stats class. Just do the review for all the quizzes and the practice final and youll be good, didnt even need to watch the lectures. Her online tutorial is worth buying for extra questions! Do good on the labs for a boost.
doesn't give any time for exams. doesn't plan ahead and think about the students. exam questions are too specific because of the number of notes you are given.
I really enjoyed Krista as a prof. She was very passionate about agriculture and was a very kind approachable prof. I would recommend going to class, it does make things more clear after she explains the slides. Make sure you have studied a fair amount for the tests, questions are sometimes quite specific.
Krista is an awesome professor. Very accessible and caring. I was originally not feeling motivated to take a Stats class as math is not my thing. But she made it really bearable and helpful. Organize your time, do practice problems, put efforts on your cheat sheet and the labs, and you will do more than good. Highly recommend her!
She was an awesome prof. Was very interesting and made the lectures fun and engaging. She generally cared about the students and would help you out if need be. Would highly recommend to take as many classes as you can with her!
The midterm and final exam were not as they said they would be. They both went into a lot more detail than they said it would. As all you have to study are the lecture slides you should be ready to know even the smallest details because that's where a majority of exam questions come from. Interesting class but lots to know.
Krista is great and I would definitely take a class with her again. She seems very interested in what she is teaching and very approachable. Very happy person and overall interesting to listen to. Relies a lot on top hat questions for review, so be sure to go over notes before class.
Krista is very passionate about what she teaches, unfortunately, I am not so keen on plant vs animals and AGRC 111 is solely on plants and soils. make sure you study for the midterm is not a walk in the park due to the amount of information that is gone over in class
1st thing she said was that people complain UofS grads cant handle large data sets and lack statistical skills. This class is why. A problem based course where we were given no problems to solve for practice. Pathetic we had to pay extra for her old exams for any actual practices. How are we expected to solve questions on an exam with no experience
Explains things easily. Didn't need to buy textbook or extra questions. Signed out the textbook twice for a bit of practice but overall if you study and not fall behind! you will do fine. She allows cheat sheets for each chapter in the exam.
Posts notes and lecture caps. Better than Melissa probably because soils are more boring and she teaches that part of the course. Krista is a good prof but this was my lowest mark. She teaches well but I find they do not test on the main ideas.
Her voice is a bit hard to listen to. Class was not quite as easy as I expected or was told it would be. At least for getting a high grade.
Professor Wilde does an amazing job explaining and getting information across through her online lectures. She clearly wants everyone to succeed.
Krista was an awesome prof! With the pandemic and everything going online the labs and lectures and everything was online, but Krista was awesome! Her powerpoints were very informational and very helpful, along with the review questions. BUY THE ONLINE TEXTBOOK, it was what I used for practice quizzes and preparing for the final.
not a great professor, she rushes the topics, very hard to contact. same with her TAs sometimes i didnt hear back from mine She charges you to use practice questions that she made from her old exams! its hard to pass because she doesnt let us get experience unless we pay for it on top of reg expenses for school pathetic, we b strugglin too
I took PLSC 214 with her for my stats requirement. The lectures were super straightforward and clear. I recommend buying the textbook with extra practice questions, they are exactly the same as quizzes, because there aren't a ton of review questions otherwise. The lab is also an easy way to boost marks.
Makes material fun and interesting, very lecture-based but if you take notes and pay attention it's easy to get good grades. Can talk a bit fast sometimes so make sure to keep up.
Labs are super easy. Has 3 quizzes throughout the course that aren't worth much. Final is worth a lot and she doesn't put many questions so it can easily bring your grade down (so pay attention). All quizzes and the final are multiple choice.
If you have any background in math, this class will be a very easy grade booster. The labs are easy to get 100 in. Krista provides practice tests before every exam which are super helpful. The exams are just like the practice ones, there are no surprises. Her lectures are helpful, and so is her tutorial for extra practice if needed.
Good lectures! Honestly, just stay on top of her given schedule and the class is a breeze. The labs are free marks, it can just take a bit of time to get through them. The quizzes and final overall had no surprises, just practice well with her lecture examples and practice tests. I did not use the textbook + material for purchase, didn't need it.
Wasn't a fan. The lectures are VERY heavy, very long, and she's overly enthusiastic about them.. 3 exams, 10 labs, and a final. The exams are moderate; all MC. Lots of practice Qs. The labs don't have weekly due dates, they're all due at the end of the semester but they're very easy. FREE MARKS, you can do them until 100%. Good prof, boring class.
Lectures were crazy long and not really sure why everyone is saying the practise is the same as quizzes. Because they arent. Good prof just dont like the class
Really solid prof. Her online lectures are interactive and help keep you engaged and she always makes it clear on what is expected. Easy to understand and very responsive and helpful if you need help outside of class.
Excellent lectures. She is knowledgeable and engaging. Give practice quizzes which are very helpful. Responds quickly to emails. Very helpful. Probably the best prof I've had.
An enthusiastic prof with organized content and formulas. Class consisted of a final, 3 quizzes, and excel labs, which were a useful mark booster. Make sure to do all of the practice questions available since the exams are out of few questions/marks relative to their weighting in the grade e.g. final /25 worth 50% of grade.
The lectures are clear with good notes. Make sure to do the practice quizzes and to take advantage of the lab, which is a good mark booster. Exams are fair.
Her lectures were interesting and I was able to keep up really well. Lots of good examples and very responsive with emails!
This stats class was very enjoyable. Labs were easy, and lecture videos were easy to follow. Quizzes/final (mostly MCQ) have few number of questions, so always double check your work and do the practice problems. Wouldn't take stats with any other prof!
Krista has to be one of my favorite profs that I've had at Usask. She's super knowledgeable and she's ready to help you whenever you need it. The labs are an easy 30% if you complete all of them and they provide you a ton of knowledge for the quizzes. She's easy to access out of class, and her lectures provide a ton of information. Love it!
(decent class, Dr. Wilde's lovely, practice test very helpful) I'm really here to say DON'T BE LIKE ME AND NOT REALISE YOU CAN HIT THE BACK ARROW AND DO THE LAB MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE YOU ACCEPT THE GRADE!! She clearly says it at the top, so this is entirely on me, but I feel I need to PSA so y'all can spare yourselves the same dumb mistake
Super awesome!!
very nice!
super nice and funny, but can move through content pretty quickly
Awesome lectures. She's clear, slides are well organized, and she'll throw in some fun little tidbits while she goes through them, but anything not on the slides is unlikely to be on an exam. There are no quizzes or assignments, only labs and exams, so its up to you to make sure you're keeping up and to check your understanding.
I got a good grade so material is fine, but lectures were very boring, and with it being online, it was hard to stay interested in the class.
Dr. Wilde's PLSC214 is a manageable course, with helpful practice tests and engaging lectures. The labs provide easy marks, and unstuck ai was a useful study tool alongside the textbook-free course material.
I took the online class and honestly had a hard time focusing on the lectures or even staying awake at some points. Other classes I've had with this professor weren't this bad. I agree with what others say, there isn't enough practice work and while there are practice questions available they are behind a paywall. Taking in person may be better.
The quizzes are way to quick for the questions assigned. The final is thankfully much more reasonable in terms of timing but beware of 30 min for 12 questions. I also know many students have had difficulty corresponding with her via email (reads it but doesn't respond so isn't super helpful in that regard). Labs are helpful for learning and marks
The class itself was very easy. If you watched the lectures and put in a bit of effort before each test, anything above a 90 is very achievable. She reads directly from her slides; the only real use for them is the examples provided. class is straightforward, and labs can be done in a week if you use the lab manual.
The lectures were okay, the fact that statistics is perhaps the most boring subject of all time doesnt help. Very test heavy- missing one question = 1% of your final mark lost, so be prepared. Questions usually arent too difficult, but very easy to mess up- she sometimes tries to catch you up. Labs can be time consuming but easy 100%. Recommend.
She was the best. She works very hard, more than she has too, and it was very appreciated on my end. I am currently enrolled in this class and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She is very approachable, asking questions was not intimidating. She made study guides for us and everything. If you can take a class with her, do it!
She's very kind and explains things clearly. The fill-in-the-blank notes make lectures easy to follow, and most classes are recorded too. I really enjoyed her teaching style. Only three quizzes, plus a few guest lectures. Overall a great prof and very manageable class.
Krista is a great prof. Class is organized and easy to follow. Labs are easy to do as the textbooks guides you through it. Her lectures can be boring but there aren't many videos to watch. Provides equation tables for the quizzes which is helpful. It isn't hard to do good in this class, so anyone who says different is on something.
Decent professor. My grade got rounded down a lot so If you're looking for a really good mark you'd be better off with another stats class. Tests are super straightforward
