Really interesting and engaging professor. In a lecture of 300 people, I wasn't sure how much I'd like it but it really wasn't as boring as I was expecting. The exams are super easy just take notes and know the vocabulary and you'll be good. Her notes are also online so you don't have to go to class every time, if you don't just read the text.
Easy class, awesome lady. 3 exams, 5 homework assignments. Class is optional, helps to go. Gives you slides, exams are out of the textbook basically. Enjoy
such a good teacher!!! 10 homework assignments (1st is a survey and if you do it you get a 100). 3 exams and a cumulative final. Homeworks are sooo easy as long as you go to class AND pay attention. Only a 50 min class so not bad at all. Go to her office hours if you need to and you'll understand anything you didn't before. take her!!!!
I liked Dr. Begosh, she was very engaged in her 300 person lecture. But I didn't think that her tests were easy. She paid attention to small details and she holds you responsible for what is in the book, even if she didn't cover it in class. Overall, really nice just have more of a desire to study for the 2 midterm exams!
You'll need the textbook and I advise just reading it. She's nice but annoying in lectures and thinks she more clever and funny then she is. Attendance is not mandatory which is nice and slides are posted online which is good because she doesn't always finish them in class. good for a freshman to take but final is cumulative unlike other psych100s
If you go to class, you'll have no problem on the tests. There's only a couple questions on the tests that you have to read from the book that she doesn't cover in class. I thought she was funny and is an overall good teacher!
She is a very interested teacher, she enjoys the subject. The class is easy if you study, much more if you pay attention. I didn't and just read her powerpoints and got a 94 overall. A few questions on stuff in the book that isn't in the powerpoints, but otherwise they are very good.
She's a great professor and her class is easy and enjoyable. Studying the power points and going to lecture is enough to get an A/A- Her tests are really straight forward and 34% of the grade is guaranteed unless you actually don't do these online quizzes. Never a trick question on the tests and most info is common sense. I used the textbook once.
Begosh made her class interesting and its important to take notes. Also, I would not wait to study for exams until the night before. Her homeworks are really easy and her homeworks and research requirement helps brings up your grade. Her exams can be hard if you dont really know the info. HER FINAL IS CUMULATIVE! Keep that in mind. I got a B.
Don't need to buy textbook. Don't need to go to class. But study your ass off for the tests if you want an A.
TAKE HER CLASS. She cares that you understand. The material IS NOT HARD at all, especially with the way she explains it. She's fair and super approachable. Favorite professor at UD, hands down.
Class is pretty easy. Professor is exceptionally nice. Class material is interesting. You won't regret taking this class. TAKE IT!
Easy, but you should actually put in some work when it comes to studying. I didn't really study to my best potential and I ended up with a B+ when I easily could have gotten an A.
I really enjoyed the subject matter, and the instructor was very concise and interesting. She clearly knew her stuff. The only remark I'd make in the negative is that she seemed to take it a little personally sometimes that the class didn't participate so readily. It was a 300-student lecture hall. That can be pretty intimidating.
Considering that this is a 300 level course, I was expecting to learn a lot more but it seemed like a joke. Went to class but probably didn't need to. Studied powerpoint slides and a couple sections in the book and got an A. Good professor though, really nice and approachable.
She is a great professor, goes through the powerpoint slide notes at a pace that allows students to copy the notes. Likes class participation but it is difficult with 200 students in a lecture hall. Tests are clear and not very difficult. Easy homeworks online. Absolutely recommend her. Learned a lot!
She was nice...ish.. I hated the class though. She focused more on anatomy rather than actual psychology. I thought the class was going to be completely different. Attendance is not mandatory, You probably should read the book...but i didn't.. She gives online quizzes 5 questions but all the answers are online. They really help boost your grade..
Really interesting lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory, notes are online but she explains the notes more in depth in class. Really easy online homework and the tests aren't hard if you study. Really nice and really helpful if you have any questions.
She is super sweet and funny! The exams are a little confusing sometimes, but the material is pretty straightforward. Final is cumulative, but she counts the homework for a huge grade. It helps so much. I didn't find the class "easy," however, I did find it rewarding and I learned a lot.
Begosh is a really good professor. She's a little quirky, but she is extremely clear, and gives detailed notes. As long as you study and listen to her lectures you'll do well in the class. There are online homeworks and the lowest one is dropped. Hard A, easy A-. I recommend.
I went into this class thinking it would be easier than it was. If you take her you need to go to class!! She give notes but they need to be filled in to be able to do well on the exams. I wish I would have taken this class as a freshman when I was afraid to skip class.
awesome teacher! you need to go to class b/c she explains notes more in depth in class. moves at a good pace. theres 2 exams & cumulative final. theres 7 online hmwks that are super easy. theres a research requirement but its not difficult. probably wont need the text b/c she explains info really well. she was my favorite professor of the semester.
go to class and you'll be fine! mc tests were really fair. she was fun to listen to and i always looked forward to her class.
My favorite professor at UD so far. She is very helpful and explains all her slides. Need to go to class, but if you do then you will have an easy A. Tests are easy and online homework is too. Really nice and easy to understand. Makes the subject interesting. Definitely take her class if you can!
Begosh is an awesome teacher. She really opens up your mind to the world of psychology.
She's a great teacher. Class isn't that interesting but you should go. The notes are online but she gives a lot of examples in class. Always answers questions and emails and really wants you to do well. The way she words her questions makes the exams really hard. I thought I was pretty prepared but clearly was wrong.
I loved this course. As long as you take good notes and pay attention in class to the examples she gives, you will do well on the exams. Begosh always gives interesting examples and keeps my attention.
Professor Begosh has probably been my favorite professor at UD. She makes is extremely organized and explains the information so well. On top of that she is pretty silly and funny. There is homework but it takes 10 mins to do it but it's a great grade booster.
HAVE TO GO TO CLASS. just reading the textbook and not going to class, i thought i did extremely well on the exams when i was taking them yet i got them back and got 70s. the homeworks are not hard at all and easy grade boosts. attendance isnt mandatory but you absolutely should go to get a good grade. FINAL IS CUMULATIVE, LOTS OF INFORMATION
Amazing teacher who is funny and uses good examples. Tests are easy if you go to class. Take notes on what she says about the power points and every exam will be easy. 2 exams and one cumulative final. homework's are also easy and she drops the lowest one. Highly recommend taking her because she is interesting and easy if you pay attention.
She's a nice, but the class is poorly structured. The class is designed so the tests are HARD(she only gives 2 and 1 final), but the missed test points are made up by homework which is worth majority of the grade. This class has been my lowest grade in college all because I screwed up on one exam so there was no way to make it up...MUST STUDY!
She is very clear in her lectures. All the slides are put on Sakai which is very helpful, so if you don't show up you probably won't miss much. Tests are relatively fair, just re-read her slides. The first exam you will do well, but there is a drop in the second exam. Overall, I enjoyed her class.
Begosh is hilarious. She makes psychology more interesting and it is vital to go to class. She will use in class examples on the exams, so pay attention. Reading the book will not necessarily account for missing a day.
Begosh is hysterical. She made me love psychology and was my favorite teacher this semester. Lectures are interesting and worth going to. If you don't go to class and just read the slides, you will do okay but she gives a lot of great examples and more information in class so I would 100% recommend going. Definite drop in second exam.
Begosh is great! Take her, seriously! Her lectures are intriguing, she gets to the point, makes jokes, and her power points are neatly organized. If you go to class and put a tiny bit of effort in for exams (there are only 3) you will surely pass.
Begosh is extremely knowledgable and also very personable. There are 2 exams and a cumulative final; all are difficult. However, she gives ample "homework" which are simply online, open-book reading quizzes to make up for your grade. There is also a research participation that you must complete. No UD capture, but the slides are posted.
Very good teacher, I enjoyed her class very much. Minimal work required to do well. I never used my textbook, YOU DO NOT NEED IT. Attendance is not mandatory, but it really helps to go. Would take her again.
Very interesting lectures, the examples she gives make the material so much easier to understand. Great teacher. Don't get the book, just go to class, tests are all on her powerpoint slides.
Begosh is pretty cool. If you're into psych you'll dig her a lot. This class is usually huge, like 300 people deep, but she wants people to participate and gets kinda mad when people don't. Tests aren't complete cake but if you study for them, go to class, and do the homeworks you'll get an A no sweat. Don't bother getting the textbook.
funny teacher but class was not always the easiest. online quizzes may help boost grade. tests are more definitional so thats not bad. just a lot of info. i barely read the book (some did), i just studied lecture notes. most info she says in class isnt on powerpoints that are online. go to class & listen!!
This class was a little bit harder than I expected for an intro class. The first test was simple, but it got much harder after that. I feel like there was way too much material to study for on the tests. You will have to put it ample time to get good grades on the exams.
Typical general psychology class, if you put in the time and effort to study for the exams then you will pass. There are only two semester exams, excluding the final so it is importantly to do well seeing that they weigh heavily into your grade.
Nice teacher, tests were tricky, lots of notes, long lectures, about 6 homework assignments and research requirements were annoying.
This class is SO much harder than you would think. Her tests are so tricky, even if you study a ton. They are much harder and you have to read EVERY little part of the readings assigned in order to even do somewhat well. Her lectures are her just reading definitions and they're boring. Def wouldn't recommend this professor, take someone else!!
For an intro class, this was difficult. Even if you took AP psych, you may really need to study hard for the tests. It seems like she picked out the most random snippets from lectures and readings to put in the test. Test were HARD. Attendance not checked, but it is better to go. If you like skimming textbooks over reading, try another professor.
she keeps lectures some-what interesting with fun videos but overall long lectures. not too easy so definitely go to class, take goo notes, and study. definitely feasible to do well in this class; straight-forward memorization. good sense of humor during class, but if you go to her for a specific question she'll just tell you to read the textbook
Begosh is great. Kept class as interesting as she could considering the material is dull. She's real chill and tries to help you as much as you can. Class is straight forward. Attendance doesn't count but you will miss notes which is all the tests are based on. Very few assignments that are fairly easy and short and 3 tests and a final.
Really good at what she does... boring class with boring material but her quirky and sweet personality makes it bearable. Make sure you know all the info and don't slack on the homework and it's not that bad or time consuming of a class.
Exactly what you'd expect. Boring class, not much work but you don't need to go which is nice. Doesn't explain the abundance of material for exams that well, so they're extra tough.
Like this class less each time I attend. Try and take the course with someone else.
Begosh's class is very interesting. As long as you're not one of those people on your phone the whole class you'll enjoy it. The grading scale works in your favor with online quiz's adding up to the same weight as the final. Go to class, study a couple days in advance, and do the homework and you'll get at least a B+
There were two tests and a final, the information she teaches is not hard in the slightest but the tests have questions that just come from seemingly no where. Other than the fact that the tests were pretty hard the rest of the class is easy and requires little work.
This class was a typical 100 level course. Begosh is a very good teacher. lectures are very helper you go and pay attention because it will make studying for the tests a lot easier. There were 2 tests and 1 final. They were not bad at all, but you do have to study a few days prior to do well. Easy homework once a week so make sure you get 100 on it
Two regular exams and one final. 7 online quizzes that are open book and lowest quiz grade gets dropped but they are all easy. She is a great professor and it is a typical 100 level course. I would def recommend taking her!
Dr. Begosh does a great job of making PSYC100 an enjoyable course. Lectures are interesting and filled with videos, providing first-hand accounts of conditions and diseases. The grading is very fair with homework counting for a nice portion of your grade. There is a research requirement, which isn't that bad. Overall, would definitely recommend.
Begosh is a great professor. Her powerpoints come straight from the textbook, and her lectures are pretty straight forward. You don't have to go to every lecture but sometimes she will show a video or talk about something that will help you understand a topic. Tests are kinda difficult, but as long as you study you'll be fine
Fantastic teacher, goes by the textbook but gives useful examples and anectodes for better understanding.
Only went to class for the exams and did fine. Exam two is harder than the first one but still not bad. Need to use the textbook to study, her slides are very vague. Only grades are the exams and online homework quizzes that are easy and help boost the grade.
Dr. Begosh is amazing; the material isn't difficult, and as long as you go to class and listen you will do well. She is very funny, and if you have any questions you can go to her office hours without feeling concerned. She will do everything she can to help you succeed. Don't skip lecture, not everything is covered on the power points.
Took Dr. Begosh for PSYC100 before taking this class. She's awesome, very laid back and super understanding of her students! Dr. Begosh explains concepts in layman's terms, which is one of my favorite things about her. Her lectures are interesting and aligned with the book. Exams are also extremely straightforward and easy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Good Professor, straightforward class. You get what you put in. Not an easy A
Professor Begosh is amazing! Highly recommend her for any of your psych courses.
LOVED HER! If you have the chance to take this class. It won't be the most fun class you take, but try to get to know her even if there are 100 students in the class.
The class is easy. The prof. is terrible. She is everything I can't stand about the University system. Her extreme alt-left ideology pervades everything she discusses. It intervenes with the lecture material, which is bad enough, but I don't need to hear your supposed sob story about something that happened to you. I dont care. Your job is to teach
don't buy the actual textbook I did not open mine once, but make sure you buy the little book because they are crucial for the homework. If you go to class and pay attention and take good notes on the power points you won't have to do much work outside of class. the homework is definitely manageable but read carefully when you do it.
I absolutely loved this professor. She had very clear and concise powerpoints, as well as she made her lectures interesting and fun to listen to. I did have the advantage of taking AP psych the year before and doing well, but even without that a little effort will get you a good grade. Very little homework as well.
Prof. Begosh seems like a great person and tries to make the lecture interesting. Uses UD Capture and reads from slides so don't really need to go to class but make sure you study the material well and get used to the testing format because the exams can be extremely hard as it's difficult to interpret the questions. Definitely not an easy A class
Lectures are recorded, easy hw assignments that boost grade, exams are doable if you study the lectures. didn't go to one class and got an A-
No online powerpoints, go to class and take moderate notes and you'll pass. Material is easy and she is always willing to elaborate or answer questions. Never needed the book unless I wasn't in class. Exams were easy, homework was directly related to class material and pretty easy. Not a difficult course or professor.
PSYC340 is a great class! Dr. Begosh does a great job explaining the content and giving examples. There are 5 online HW assignments and 2 multiple choice exams (3 with the final). If you come to class(or UD capture) and study a reasonable amount, you will do well in this class! Definitely recommend.
She's very passionate and her lectures were never boring considering the material. The homework assignments help boost your grades and the tests could be tricky, rewatch lectures when studying. Not an easy A, I think Sensation and Perception ended up being easier.
She is one of the best professors I have had so far, she explains the material very well and is extremely caring and understanding with assignments and exams. The material however is very difficult which makes the exams very hard no matter how hard you study. I would definitely recommend taking her but if you don't have to take this, then don't.
Dr Begosh is so great. Lectures are awesome - you don't need the textbook - and she is just such a sweetheart. I cant imagine there being a better professor for this class. TAKE IT WITH HER
I LOVE Dr. Begosh! She makes the class fun and interesting. There aren't too many assignments and the exams are fair. Attendance was mandatory but I never had to read the book and it was never brought up on exams. Dr. Begosh is a great person and I would definitely taker her for this/other psych classes!
Dr. Begosh is a great professor. She has a great personality and teachers her classes really well. This class is somewhat difficult but is manageable as long as you study and stay on top of homework assignments.
Dr. Begosh is an awesome professor! All of the test material comes from what she says in class, so don't skip. Not a hard class as long as you pay attention and take good notes.
Classes themselves were super easy and tests matched the class material. She's really clear about topics and easy to follow her lessons. Don't bother getting the textbook. She never mentions it after syllabus week and I didn't open it once. There is only a little homework and tons of time to do it
Very understanding and willing to help out. Explains topics clearly and exams are directly based on the lectures, so go to class (plus she takes attendance). Don't bother getting the textbook if you're someone who probably won't read it anyway. Great prof, would definitely take another course with her!
Begosh is a really sweet, passionate, and funny professor. She provides powerpoints and Capture, but lectures are interesting and engaging. Exams are challenging with no study guide, but are fair and line up with lecture material. Homeworks are a good way to boost your grade, but put in effort because they can drop you too!
Begosh, begosh, ohmygosh! This was by far the best and most interesting class Ive taken at UD so far. 2 tests and 1 final, everything taken directly from her lectures. She uses UD capture which is awesome! 5 credits of research requirements are mandatory and 7 quizzes online that are done after reading a short passage.
Lectures and slides are a brief outline of the material in the textbook that is on exams. Only 2 tests in the class. The exams were definitely kind of hard; you assume you know the material because it's mainly definitions but the exam questions apply definitions and theories to experiments and real life situations
Begosh is an engaging and entertaining lecturer, clearly knowledgeable and passionate about subject matter. Attendance isn't tracked and UD Capture is provided, but I would recommend going anyway because the tests are mostly material from the lectures. Would take again - tests are fair, workload is manageable, and just overall an awesome professor!
the exams were a lot harder than i would have expected, they are very specific on what was talked about in class. go to class, but if you dont the UD captures are very helpful. there is homework usually every week, and it has nothing to do with what is being taught in class, so that is a bit annoying but it is worth a good portion of your grade.
She's a really nice teacher and makes her lectures interesting. There are 3 total exams (including a final) which make up 65% of your grade. The exams are harder than expected but just make sure to study her slides because the questions from her exams are right from her lecture. The last 35% of the grade comes from homework which is an easy A.
Her class is very easy but the exams are nothing like she teaches in class. She curves you grade at the end so you will end up with a good grade even if you do not do well on the exams.
Attendance was not mandatory at all. The exams were kinda difficult and varied from the material we learned in class. The final was the easiest exam. She never responds to emails and it is hard to get in touch with her. If you do extra psych labs, you can get up to 2 extra credit points which helped my grade.
there's barely any homework, her tests are really detailed based and lecture heavy but all her lectures are are course capture. DON'T buy the textbook waste of money. this class was like another psyc 100
3 exams, 5 HWs, and 5 class activities. Don't buy the textbook it was way too much money and I never used it. Exams are pretty hard, they are based all on the lecture and cover a lot material. No study guides are given. Professor Begosh is amazing and she makes the class worth taking
There are 3 exams and the 2nd exam was ridiculously hard. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I actually went and that exam was impossible. I thought her lectures were pretty boring. Don't buy the textbook. Do the homework. If you do that, you'll get at least a B.
Begosh was really sweet. She got better with answering emails and attendance is not mandatory. her lectures are posted on udcapture along with slides from the class. exams were kinda hard and were mainly lecture based, but overall I really liked her and the class material. 2 exams, 5 homeworks, 5 in class assignments and a cumulative final
I also had Begosh for Psyc340 (Cognition) and they are taught very similarly. She understands students and makes lectures interesting when it's boring. The exams are mostly application of the material, she says we have to read the textbook but I haven't read the textbook at all and I'm fine. Also 415 is a 400 level, second writing, and capstone!!
Sweetest lady ever. Her lectures are a bit long but she genuinely cares about her students doing well. Didn't use the book except for weekly chapter quizzes. Exams are directly based off notes from lectures. She offers extra credit and listens to students/ gives points back if they raise a concern about an assignment or question on an exam.
Dr. Begosh is a nice lady who really cares for her students. Her lectures can be a bit long and boring at times, but overall if you study and do your work she is there to support you. My class with her was asynchronous bc of covid and she was good at responding to emails with any questions.
She was honestly awful. Yeah, its a 400 lvl course but 4 papers (2 drafts each), weekly reflections, 2 exams, AND she grades sooooo harshly. Its 1 week from the end of the semester and out of the million assignments she's graded like 2 things. Just overall all does not care about her students doing well and it shows.
This professor was AMAZING! Due to covid, I took her class online but I learned so much great information. Her lectures tend to be pretty long (about 2 hours), but they are really interesting. Exams were based off of her powerpoints. Rarely used the textbook because her powerpoints were the chapters. Homework is easy and extra credit is given.
she is super understanding and she is an amazing professor, definitely my favorite class. 3 exams, second one was the hardest. homework is on the website where we access the textbook and you just have to answer a certain amount of questions right, and you have a week to do it. light class, lectures are easy to understand, definitely recommend
Dr. Begosh is a great professor. She responded to my emails relatively quickly. I personally find it worth it to read the textbook because some of the questions are similar to the definitions given. The final exam was incredibly easy. I thought that the second exam was the most difficult.
Great and interesting class. Maybe one of the most interesting classes I took so far at UD. She does offer extra credit, and the exams for the most part are fair. If you watch the lectures and read the textbook you should get a good grade.
This prof's lectures were super interesting and engaging; she's super sweet too. Very manageable homework, around 1-2 assignments a week that took 30 mins altogether. I procrastinated watching lectures until the days before the exams and always did fine, although you really shouldn't do that because there is a lottt of material. Great class! Easy A
Don't have to use the textbook, take notes on the powerpoint. 3 tests and 1 paper/presentation. Studied for max 2 hours for each test, last test was open note and the paper was max 4 pages & you pick who you wanna research in September. Prof was clearly interested in the topic and was really open to discussion/other points of view from students.
Very engaging lectures from someone who knows her topics. Relatable with attempts at humor. Very fair grader and wants students to do well. Tests are heavily graded and not easy but curved a few points. Writing assignments are easy. Best psych Prof at UD in my 4 years.
I absolutely love Dr. Begosh! I've had her for a total of 4 classes and this class was my absolute favorite! This class was way better than I expected and she made it super interesting and fun! We created our own experiments with our groups and she helped us every step of the way. She was super accommodating and I would definitely recommend her!
Avoid! Begosh has the most annoying voice possible and talks endlessly about her kids who I feel sorry for. Overcomplicates material with outdated and uninteresting examples. Take a different class if possible. So lame
If you want to full understand the material get her!!!!!!
This was my favorite class ever. She is a great teacher and offers 3 points of extra credit for the final exam. There are 2 midterm exams (both online) and a final. There are textbook quizzes every other week but they are graded for completion. You honestly never need to go to class because of UD capture, but I recommend going.
Professor Begosh is such a great teacher! The class was all lecture but she explains all concepts extremely clearly and her tests are very fair. Her tests are also online, and she doesn't take attendance.
I absolutely loved having Dr. Begosh as a professor and being able to attend her lectures were never dreadful. Nicest person if you ever get a moment to talk to her and if you are ever confused on something she explains it more than one way so that you can understand it in the best way. Definitely try and have her as your psychology teacher.
Her lectures were so good and engaging, she actually lets you take the notes and THEN she talks. Has recorded lectures in case you miss class, tests were very easy and all virtual with no proctor. Didn't talk to her much personally but I know I could if I was struggling.
Very engaging and good professor. Her lectures are like conversations with the class instead of straight information. Very casual class and pretty easy class. Tests are online and homework is quick. Would love to have her again!
All exams are online. Clear lectures that give you all the information that you need. Easy homework assignments usually given once a week (it's impossible to get anything less than 100 on them). Easy way to get social sciences breadth requirement credits.
I would highly recommend taking Dr. Begosh. She clearly states the material, tries to make things interesting, and is easy to reach outside of class. She's always willing to answer questions, and even creates a google slide thing where people can put questions if you aren't comfortable raising your hand. She also uses UD capture, if you miss class.
Dr. Begosh is an amazing psych professor. She has very engaging lectures and she uploads all of them to Canvas. I definitely recommend her.
A lot of busy work assignments outside of class but as long but you're guaranteed a 100 on all of them as long as you do it. Her lectures were interesting and she's very clear about what will be on exams, they were a little difficult but as long as you study what she tells you to you'll pass the class.
This class is an in person class but all materials including tests, homework, quizzes, etc. are meant to be accessed online. All of the homework and quizzes were super easy to get a 100 on and the tests were very easy to as long as you review the in class lecture notes and attend the reviews held on zoom before test days.
Dr Begosh is a incredible professor who is super helpful and will guide you through every step of the research and writing process. The class is structured simply and it's very easy to do well on your assignments, and you will get a lot of feedback per each assignment. Only suggestion is to make sure you find a good group.
im literally in love with her shes the sweetest person in the world. her lectures were always entertaining and theyre recorded so you can go back to them later. small "quizzes" every chapter but you always get an 100 on them, theyre just lowkey time consuming. would love to take a class with begosh again!!
I really enjoyed Professor Begosh's lectures they were very interesting. You can easy get an A just make sure you study for the final and other exams as i did not. She is really cares about her students. All exams including the final was online but you actually have to know whats going on for them. She did not take any attendance either.
Dr. Begosh is extremely kind and wants the best for her students. However, she is nearly impossible to contact outside of class. Missed an assignment because I was in the ER, still haven't received a response weeks later.
She just did too much. Exams weren't too hard, lecture slides were very vague but she would give too much info or not enough. She wasn't very understanding and would get mad at the class a lot. She had good intentions but overall would not recommend
I enjoyed taking Dr. Begosh's class. She is super sweet and knows what she is talking about. Her lectures are easy to follow but she doesn't take attendance. Her exams are a bit difficult, but if you study you will be fine. She is a little hard to reach through email but she gets back to you eventually. Overall, I would take her class again.
I love Begosh, her lectures were so fun to attend and the content was very interesting. There are three exams including the final and they can be worried tricky and can be easy to answer the wrong thing. There are some things you can do for extra credit and I would definitely recommend doing them.
Professor Begosh is a sweet and caring professor! She is strict about her rules for exam makeups, due dates, etc, but the homework does not take long and is an easy 100, and the tests are not bad if you study. The class is lecture heavy but she tries her best to encourage participation and make it interesting!
One of my favorite professors I have ever had. Dr. Begosh is very nice, relaxed, and helpful. She knows what she is talking about and can explain concepts to you in a different way if you do not understand something. Her tests are fair and the other assignments are graded on completion. If you took AP Psych in high school this class should be easy.
I love how she always brings the energy. Very smart professor! Don't skip class and STUDY for exams in advance! You should be good.
Dr. Begosh is very knowledgeable. You will struggle if you did not take psych in high school no matter the professor. Make sure to read and attend lectures. Homework assignments and quizzes are easy, study a lot for the exams. Overall great professor.
Dr. Begosh definitely knows what she is talking about. Sometimes the lectures get boring, but they're necessary to understand the material. There's barely any homework and her assignments are easy. The only bad thing is the exams are tough and your final grade is basically just made up of your exam scores and the mandatory final.
It is really easy to boost your grade because all of her homework assignments are easy a's. The tests can be very hard and so can the studying but no matter what you should be fine because of the easy homework grades.
Professor Begosh does a great job explaining difficult concepts and cares about her students doing well. Attendance isn't mandatory but you really need to go to class to do well. Take notes, and read the textbook before exams (study for each exam for at least 4 days; a chapter a day) and you'll probably get an A. I enjoyed going to her class.
There was a research component that required you to participate in studies which did take up time outside of class. The lectures were very boring and were not needed in order to do well in the class. There were only 3 exams total which were not too hard. She was not responsive to emails at all. Overall not bad but would not take again.
This was an easy class and attendance was not mandatory besides test days. It is easy to get a good grade and I would recommend taking it!
I wanted to add a review because they made this class harder from it's previous self. There used to be stories of kids only showing up on exam days and getting A's. This is NOT the case anymore. She is a good prof and cares a lot, but DO NOT SKIP lecture unless you want to play serious catch up for exams. This class is not what it used to be.
I liked Dr Begosh. Her lectures were good and very informative. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't attend you will not do good on the exams. Exams are okay if you study a lot. The textbook helps a lot because there is a lot to remember. I would recommend :)
Her lectures are great, she explains things very well. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go, you won't do well on exams. Very little homework and very easy. Only complaint I have is with the required research portion for this but she doesn't control that.
I just was not really a fan because in comparison to the other Psych 100 classes hers is the hardest. It is inconsistent because some of my friends had take home exams while hers were in person and pretty difficult even with studying and watching the lectures. She's nice, but I would not take her again.
Professor Begosh teaches the class as if we were five years old and then tests us like college students. If you want us to learn, teach us the material that will be on the test instead of assigning us things that do not help us at all and barely affect our grades. She is a very nice person and very passionate, but she is not the professor you want.
I truly believe that Begosh is a good person and a great instructor. Her lectures are a bit boring but I didn't have high hopes for a 300 person class. The tests are extremely difficult and everyone cheats on them, but homework isnt too bad. Just show up to the lectures, do the research requirement, and try your best on the tests.
I really enjoyed this class and thought Dr. Begosh was a great professor. It's definitely important to attend the lectures or do the readings but you don''t have to do the readings if you pay attention in class.
From the few lectures I attended it was clear that Professor Begosh is an excellent professor. Unfortunately the tests are lecture heavy, so despite optional attendance it would be more beneficial to attend. Tests account for the majority of your grade so be sure to study beforehand, completely multiple choice but by no means a free A.
Super super nice professor and attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't go to class the tests may be difficult. The tests were online in person, so most people cheated but sometimes you still wouldn't do well. She also words the tests at a college level whereas in the lectures you felt like you were in a 4th grade classroom.
Professor Begosh is a great lecturer, but her tests can be quite challenging. Attend class and use resources like Unstuckstudy to ace the exams. Overall, a rewarding course if you put in the effort.
Lectures were boring and exams were personally difficult for me to prepare for, I never quite figured out what worked best for me. I managed with an A with extra credit opportunities she gave her students, like participating in online research, which is also a requirement for all PSYC100 classes. Homework is easy and online.
Class itself was extremely difficult for me & a lot of material. However she tried to make class fun & engaging. Attendance isn't mandatory but you 110% need to pay attention to pass exams. Notes are posted but only bullet points so you really need to attend lectures; they're also recorded and posted. Essentially, hated the class loved the teacher
Begosh is very sweet but I did not enjoy her class at all. I found her lecture style hard to follow and her notes were very confusing. There are a few homework assignments and three exams. She is a very nit-picky grader and doesn't always make it clear as to what type of answer she is looking for. Her exams were difficult and hard to prepare for.
Class was ok, ended up auditing it. I'm assuming that if you're taking this class it's to get to your upper level psych courses as a psych student. Not much to say about her but she is super friendly.
She is an amazing lecturer, great teacher and very sweet but she doesn't prepare her students for exams adequately. Her exams are hard. Class is optional but if you don't go and take attentive notes you won't do well on the exams. Loved learning from her but her exam brought on major anxiety because there was never a clear study guide.
Fav professor so far. She explains things very thoroughly and is very helpful in office hours. Grade is based on 3 exams and 8 (?) assignments. Go to class and you will do well on the exams with minimal studying. She is also very funny & sweet. EXTREMELY knowledgable. She gave me great advice about psych career during office hours.
She's super sweet & understanding. Test are online but you have a tab blocker. She doesn't use slides but instead writes as she goes along which is imo not the best but yk. Test aren't hard as long as you study but you have to put in some effort outside of class. You have homework but its like once every couple of weeks In class its all group stuff
She is a sweet and understanding professor. The exams are quite hard, even though she doesn't take attendance, it will still be beneficial to go and take attentive notes so you can do at least decent or well in the course. She is a nit-picky grade a bit, but other than that I love her personally ( but I didn't like the class at all )
As long as you read the textbook and study the material she posts, you will pass. Attendance isn't mandatory but she's easy to understand and lectures help reinforce the material. She also shows some videos at times which I found interesting.
Lectures are interesting and she takes the time to explain the material. Attendance isn't mandatory and everything is posted and recorded. Exams are pretty straightforward if you just study the material and vocabulary.
super interactive so lectures aren't boring, she's so passionate about psychology and it shows. she mixes in videos and activities with lectures. she has weekly homework and assignments every few weeks. def pay attention in lecture, don't just write what's on the slide. tests are moderately difficult if you study and pay attention!
Extremely understanding, not a lot of homework and its very easy. Exams can be difficult. Attendance was not mandatory.
Test weighs very heavy and are difficult, and so do the application-based activities
You don't have to go to class but if you don't def study for the tests because you either know it or you don't. Make sure to try on application-based activities because they take up a lot of your grade and so do tests. No homework really.
Good teacher! at times a bit boring but test's are straight forward.
Nice, but it's a very harsh grader.
Truly one of the greatest professors I've had this semester. The class was a large lecture but she was always able to keep us engaged in the material. The tests were a little difficult but if you study and prepare it's fine. She drops lowest assignment grades and offers extra credit. Genuinely an amazing person and I highly recommend her
I have my final tomorrow, and I literally looked her up to see what other courses she teaches and if they align with my major. Could not recommend her enough! She is an amazing professor, who makes lectures as interesting as they could be. she is passionate about and likes what she does and it shows! not to mention she is really funny!
Love her! Just make sure you stay on top of the material.
Don't know how there are so many good reviews. I think she changed this year, very hard grader decided to put our final grade in without putting our grades into canvas. Tests are very confusing seems easy until averages are in the 60s
I had Dr. Begosh for Psyc100 3 years ago. I was looking forward to having her again. She has become my least favorite professor at the University of Delaware. If it isn't her extremely difficult exams, it's her impossible grading standards and lack of empathy for her students. She will ruin your final grade she does not follow her own syllabus.
Dr. Begosh is a nice lady, and her lectures are engaging and interesting. However, the tests are difficult, and my class averages for tests were around mid D's to low C's. The application assignments can also be confusing, which may lower your grade. Overall, she is nice and cares, but the tests are challenging, so do with that what you will.
