SHE IS HOT AND VERY UNDERSTANDING. PLUS SHE'S HOT

Kristen tries to make the class as interesting as possible and does her best to make everyone feel comfortable. Notes are allowed during exams. She can always be reached through emails if you are afraid to approach her. She is very nice and assignments aren't too difficult.

Very enthusiastic, and friendly. She makes the class fun and lectures are never boring. All her lecture power points are available on the internet. She does seem to be a bit disorganized, and some of the bigger assignments aren't explained very clearly. Overall a good teacher, I recommend her.

Kristen keeps the course fun and entertaining. A lot of it is very intese. I mean you go from watching and analyzing**** to pictures of abuse. She really knows her stuff to the bone. The only argument I have is that she is very strict with her view point and she is a little intimidating to approach, but she is always willing to help.

Overall easy course. It can be fun, I mean it is what it is! on it's own accord. However, Colchico tends to snap at you when she's in a bad mood. Get on her good side early and she'll laugh with you when someone says something remotely stupid. (Yup, she really does this! Immatureeee.) Btw, she'll have you write her your personal sex fantasy. Wtf?

An assign. which can take 30 min is worth 10-15 points. A project that takes FOREVER is worth 20-30 points. Extra credit isn't worth it and she'll only accept it if u did most work. She's nice and its a fun class though. Do the work and you'll get a A or B. usually unorganized. But I'm into this health stuff so I loved this class.

the class is about sex so its interesting already. she is a fine teacher and she knows what she is talking about. shows alot of youtube videos and PP slides. u dont take notes. alot of little hw that u have to get from online. test are SUPER easy but the projects are annoying. the key to getting an A is to do all the hw and attendence is a must!!!!

i had a friday class with her which is 3 hours long...but her class goes by fast because she keeps it on pace. shes organized and always has the class participating. she's kind of intense and could probablly kick your butt....annnnd she will most likely argue with you about something. she's a good teacher...some awkward lectures..but overall good.

She is cool. Her assignments are endless, but you can knock em all out with in 10-15 min. The test are easy. And she is cool.

She makes the class interesting. lectures dont require note taking graphic pictures and interesting movies its very important to do all the hw its the key to getting a good grade tests are VERY easy she grades easy on the 1 essay and group projects all in all easy and interesting class i would encourage anyone to take it also we go to a sex shop!!!

she's a great teacher. she helps you if you need help and ask for it. the clarity is good, and i like that she uses a variety of videos, the text, websites, etc to teach.

She is a great professor and human sexuality is an interesting course. If you are not comfortable discussing sex, do NOT take this course. Colchico uses a lot of videos and internet data to teach the class, so it's never boring.

She's a cool teacher with many opinions and views on sexuality. Must be in class each time to recieve points. Every class is a fun class. Mostly everything is done online. You learn techniques and information for the future which are very helpful ;)

Its a very interesting class but she can be very snappy and rude. She doesnt except late assignments at all. Come to class everyday for the points. Informations useful but she lost some of my papers and rude about it.

I disagree with the previous comments...I mean HELLO this is college and she shouldn't have to accept late homework and make her tests easy...you have to do your part. She's awesome at involving the class in group discussions and her lectures are always interesting! Good professor, knows what she's doing and well.

Easy class as long as you do the work. Tests based mostly on notes, but the book is used for a large portion of quizzes and homework. No late work accepted, but it is given with enough time to do it. Very interesting class overall. If you do well on the final projects then you'll get a solid B.

The class is really fun, and the work load is not a lot. Multiple choice test, and she offers a lot of extra credit. She doesn't allow late work, but this is college. Good teacher and good class. I would take a class with her agian.

She's a good teacher, but attendance is really very mandatory to a good grade. She doesn't like excuses. She's very straightforward with the material, but the final is kind of a stupid amount of work: a group project as well as a test. It really sucked. But I learned a lot, and if you show up and pay attention, you'll do very well.

I can't speak for the people who took her online class, but my experience in her in-person class was very good. There is kind of a lot of work, but it is all super easy. She doesn't take crap from her students or from those who do not take the class seriously, which I very much respected. If you treat her well and do theclass work this class is fun

She's a really great teacher. There's a bit of classwork so attendance is a must. Pay attention in class, do the homework, and you should do just fine. Tests are pretty easy. Just go over your assignments and notes you will pass. She is cool and laid back, but don't give her any crap because she wont put up with it.

Human Sexuality has been by far the most interesting class I've taken. The class has a lot of work, which can be annoying but it isn't hard. Professor Colchico is a good instructor, however she can be moody at times, but ignore it. Overall, the class is interesting and has a lot of work, I got an A with minimal effort. I definitely recommend.

this class is so easy! there is a lot of work but its so simple people! no tests or quizzes. i took this online for summer. you read the text, watch videos, and look at websites. the due date of all assignments is the last day of school. easy A

At first i wasn't a big fan of her because I assumed she was full of herslef by the way she dressed in short skirts and all, but I got to really like her and realized she's actually very down to earth. Extremely interesting class. She uses a lot of different material to teach-its never boring. I'd highly recommend

Great Class and a Great teacher. If you show up for class and follow directions,and do your homework and assignments you should get an A. Mrs. Colchico is great at what she does. Just like any other class in college if you do your part she does hers!

Dr. Colchico is very outgoing. Her style of teaching was a bit unorganized. I suggest taking notes as best you can during class. It helps that she provides study guides. She does assign a lot of work and it is mostly research accompanied by a LOT of writing. A LOT of class work, so it is crucial you dont miss a single day!

Super easy & interesting class. She's loud yes, but funny & open. First off, you don't need the book. Study guide tells you everything you will need to know & goes over it all in class. Barely any hw. Tests are easy if you go to class. Attendance isn't mandatory but you'll miss out on easy points that really add up.

Miss. Colchico is one of the best professor. She talks about life related topics and makes the class entertaining. She knows her field and is always cheerful. We did journals in class and her tests are easy. I would definitely recommend her class to anyone for Human Sexuality!

Dr. Colchico is an excellent Human Sexuality professor. I am taking her HSCI 130 class. I learned a lot more about sex related issues which I was never aware of before. She lets you turn in late homework for half credit, offers extra credit and gives 10 points for study guide packet for the following unit's exam. It's an easy A if taken seriously.

Ive taken 2 classes with her and think she is fun and funny. lots of group work and in class work. Test and HW are pretty easy if you go to class. But she can be somewhat unclear about what she wants you to turn in and when so ASK HER.

Colchico is probably the most interesting teacher I've had. She is very enthusiastic about her Human Sexuality class. She does a lot of group work, but there are simple and straightforward. She gives out a lot of assignments but they are easy if you come to class because of her lectures. If you want a teacher that will keep you awake, take Colchico

I really enjoyed taking her class. She is very helpful, funny, and seems sweet. She is very energetic. There is a lot of coursework for the online class, but if you read the book it is not too difficult. I learned a lot, and it was very interesting.

Online Summer Course 2014 - No midterm or final, but many quizzes. Projects and reading material are moderately easy. I had to read everyday in order to answer the questions. Must put in effort in order to receive good grade. Received an A

I have no clue why her average grade is a D+. Professor Colchico is a great teacher!! Her grading is very straight-forward and easy. In the class, we only had three multiple choice tests (that were easy). Just pay attention in class, that's all you need to pass!

If you're hoping for the "Easy A" with no need to pay attention, wrong class. This is because she takes the subject seriously and rightfully so, it is a very important subject. Her passion keeps class interesting and engaging. If you respect the importance of the course, you'll have no problem passing the class. She's funny too, just keep up!

Colchico is an alright teacher. Yeah her class is easy and not really that much work, her lectures sometimes aren't that fun and she is sometimes in a pissy mood. Other than that the tests are easy and she gives out packets so they replace notes, but won't tell you when you actually need to take notes. Save all your work!! You turn it in at the end

Prof. Colchico is the best teacher. You have to do the work, but c'mon it's sexuality, can't not like learning about that. Attendance is important because she will check off in-class notes which count when you turn in assignments. She's very enthusiastic, answers all kinds of questions, and offers lots of extra credit if you're struggling. TAKE HER

Great teacher. Took this class spring 2015 and really enjoyed it. Kristen loves what she teaches which makes it that much better to learn from her. Remember to show up to class on time! Gives really helpful study guides and is always around to help answer questions. She also teaches in a way where people with any learning style can learn from her!

Outstanding. Opinionated but expected. She really cares about her subject and is witty and charming. Everything is very straightforward and if you do the worksheets you will ace the tests. Textbook is mandatory to bring everyday after 1st unit. I plan to take her again in her public health class because she was so great. Take her.

LOVE HER!!!! Don't take this if you're immature (STI's, genitalia etc.) She covers pretty important current social issues so if you can't handle talking about things like homosexuality or transgender people don't take it. She gives the information straightforward and doesn't stray too far. Funny.

This was my favorite class! It is so easy because it's super basic but you learn so much more than you would ever think you would. Colchico is really nice, funny and fairly easy. She gives worksheets almost every class so if you aren't there you won't get credit. Tests are super easy because she prepares you for them really well.

Colchico is a very smart woman. Her lectures are very informational. The class is very interesting. She gives a lot of work so be ready and be on top of it. I learned a lot from her honestly even with it being such an easy topic.

She was super cool! Doesn't make you feel uncomfortable at all about topics. If you go and just do what she assigns you'll be fine. I rented the textbook, you don't bring it to every class, she'll let you know when you need to bring it, she also lets you know when she can't make it to class which is nice!

Dr. K is awesome. This is my second class taken with her. I was anxious about taking an online class but her grading criteria is clear and she is an amazing teacher. She is always available if you have any questions and is very helpful. I wish there were more classes I could take with her. Really outstanding teacher.

She had really interesting topics to talk about and when it came to grading , she was real easy going but a lot of feedback .

I have taken colchino in person before and now online. My final thought? Great for an in person class however assigns so much homework online and many of the assignments feel pointless. However she is an easy grader and provides many resorces.

Very passionate about the subject. When given the information on the study guide, it will appear on the test. Very approachable as well.

Course had lots of information and she made it interesting. Missing a few classes is not the end of the world, but she uses a lot of videos during class that will be on exams. One page essay homework a week is pretty easy, and she is a really accomodating teacher who likes her work and makes the class super interesting and engaging.

Dr. K outlines the grading criteria clearly in the syllabus and sticks to it. She gives you all the tools to succeed, you just need to apply yourself. Questions on the exams are ALWAYS from topics discussed in class/homework (no surprises). If you have any questions, she wants to help. She cares about the subject she is teaching and that's huge.

Great teacher. Took her for Human Sexuality and Intro to Public Health. Work is easy but time consuming.

Doctor K is amazing. She knows her subject very well, and has a lot experience teaching. I enjoyed taking her online class, as well as on the on-site class I am enrolled in right now. She always gives interesting homework in form of quizzes or group projects. Her lectures are relevant, thought provoking, and keep you involved. Highly recommended.

Amazing teacher

She is a really nice professor, who truly cares about what she's teaching. She may show up late a bit and sometimes she comes in looking disheveled, but it honestly adds to her charm and overall funny, charismatic personality.

Dr. Colchico is one of the best teachers I have had at DVC. Anyone that has anything negative to say about her was probably just lazy in the class. I have taken both her human sexuality and public heath classes. She is extremely passionate in what she teaches and it is easy to say that she loves what she does. I recommend taking her.

Professor Colchico is very nice yet seems distant. I understand everyone has other commitments outside of school but she would skip some bi-weekly zooms and promise a video for directions, yet they were never posted. I'm passionate about Public Health so the material was intriguing. Make sure you actually study & look at the slides! Read the book.

Really nice teacher, will always be here for you, most of the work is pretty easy, the exams can be a bit hard but as long as you study for it you will do great.

She's so passionate! She has mandatory zoom meetings, lectures everyday with powerpoints and breakout rooms. You have around 2 weekly homework assignments that are due, but aren't too hard. They were research-based work where you read articles and responded to the prompts. The tests were not too hard if you took good notes. I recommend taking her!

I took her Human Sexuality class during the summer and I loved it! Her presentations were interesting, creative, and organized, which made our assignments a lot easier to complete. Tests and quizzes were easy to follow as well. But, it's easy to fall behind if you don't stay on top of the heavy workload. This isn't a class for procrastinators.

I don't know why her reviews are poor. I really enjoyed the class and the material we learned over the semester. Generally with classes I'll remember the information until the semester ends but its been over a year since I took the class and I still remember a good portion. I'd reccommend going to the zoom meeting because they are very insightful.

Professor Colchico is a passionate person who truly lovers her job and it shows. She has taken time to speak to me personally and that she cares about my performance in the classroom. It makes you wonder how anyone could have a negative thing to say but then again that's what the word is today. lazy people writing horrible things about others.

Wonderful teacher with lots of great feedback and experience in the field. She was an in person class but said you could zoom from home If you couldn't make it. There was many papers each module so If you don't like writing you may not like that. Overall great teacher.

Great class and is passionate about the subject. Does give quite a bit of work but gives you a week or so to complete it and it isn't overly hard. Tests and quizzes are all from reading material and lectures, so take good notes. Don't be too late with work or it will add up. Definitely would recommend.

At first I was on the fence about registering for the winter session class especially after seeing the reviews regarding workload and grading, but I took the leap of faith. I'm tellin you, if you just watch her weekly intro videos, do the reading, follow the examples and templates that she provides to you without cutting corners, you'll get an A.

Took her 6 week class offered in the summer, I personally found it manageable. While she does require around 3 500' word discussions every week, possibly 3 quizzes, or a 750' word dropbox, I didn't think the work load was impossible. As long as you have a trusty website for the assignments that require citations, you will do well in this class.

Timely email replies. Quiz questions provided to supplement studying. Grading rubric provided for writing/creative assignments. Learned more than I thought I would in the last few chapters on drug addiction, no-harm policies, etc. Offers extra credit. I could have had an A but I fell behind because of personal issues and she was very supportive.

First off she isn't a bad teacher, but her online class has a lot of work. Sometimes there's 2 quizzes a week plus discussions that are 500 works+ minimum. If you answer all the questions and follow rubric you get a good grade on the assignments. Honestly pretty easy grader. If you don't have time for work and need a easy class this isn't for you.

I enjoyed the class despite it being online but I am a public health major. This class was material heavy, should expect 500+ word discussions frequently in addition to test where application is key and papers. This class will take a decent chunk of your time do not underestimate that. Expect to put the work in, it was an enjoyable class overall.

yes, there was a very heavy workload (the 500 min word discussions). but i learned so much so i guess it worked in my favor. if you stay on track and just complete assignments in a timely manner, you'll be good. she also accepts late assignments till the last day of the semester with a 15% deduction which saved me..

This class was fairly straightforward, and yes, while it was very information-heavy, it wasn't too difficult. I feel like I learned a lot from the videos and articles we had to read, and they were interesting. The powerpoints she provides are helpful, and she pulls her test questions straight from them. Keep up, and you should be able to pass.

I love prof Colchico! I recommend her class I think it's super easy if you really do the work and read the articles!
