I absolutely loved her Art Survey 2 class. She is very laid back and loves to talk. If you are awake in her class you will pass. She loves if you are helpful and opinionated. She really is one of the best professors I've ever had. She sparked my intrest in art and now, this semester, I'm taking a painting class! Take this class! You won't regret it

Kristi Hext is without a doubt one of the most inspirational teachers I know. After taking her Art History II class I can proudly say that I will take a part of her class with me wherever I go. Im writing this with hopes that even if its unnecessary you will take her class. I know she also reads these things so I did the knife project,love ya maam!

She is without a doubt the best professor I have had since I started college. She is so passionate about art and it certainly shows in her lectures. She will do everything she can to help you in both in her class and other classes too Honestly, I've never had any kind of interest in art before I took this class and now that has absolutely changed!

MOST AMAZING PROF EVER. Honestly, her lectures were captivating and incredibly interesting. Took her for art history, and there was an essay and a major project on an artist that had to be presented in front of the whole class, but it was a group project. I would love to take another class with her. She is so passionate about what she teaches.

Highly recommend taking her!! She is super passionate about art and really wants her students to be interested and do well! Very few tests and they're veryyyy easy! There is one project but its a group and she isn't a hard grader so everyone does pretty good on it! If I had the change I would definitely take her again!

Everything about this class was awesome. Grades are only 1 presentation and 3 exams (2 regular and 1 final), but show up the day before the exam and she literally gives you everything on it. Multiple choice and provides a lot of extra credit. She is hilarious and really tries to get everyone engaged in the class. Highly recommend her.

Prof Hext was so helpful & interested in her students. She will tell you that the book is vital & to read but NO NEED FOR BOOK I PROMISE. Barely take notes in class & you'll do just fine. She gives you all slides online & THE review for tests. There's one group proj. but follow the minimum requirements & you'll get an A. Great prof!!

My favorite professor at Blinn is Hext! She is beyond passionate about art and wants you to understand the history of it. That't not hard to do in her class because lectures are captivating! There are two tests, a final exam, and one group project/presentation. Take her! You won't regret it.

Passionate and just an amazing teacher

Loved this class. Mrs Hext truly is passionate about art and made this class such a breeze. Lectures are very engaging and relevant to assignments. Tests/HW are all based on the textbook but the review and vocab sheets she gives out are all you need. There is also a research project you have to present, but she is very lenient! Great class overall.

Very awesome teacher, she is very passionate about art and really cares about her students. There are 4 exams and 1 Final. The exams and final are time consuming because they are free response. Mine was blended so all the exams and final were at home so that is nice. But overall I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot about art. Take her!!!!

EASIEST CLASS I EVER TOOK OMG. Prof Hext has so much love for this subject and its actually inspiring. Her lectures are kinda boring therefore i didnt pay attention in class once. She basically gives you the answers to the tests so dont even worry about this class. easiest A i ever recieved

Such an easy A. She is very passionate about what she teaches and is very inspiring. You have 3 tests including final and each test has 20 artworks that you have to remember (seems hard but that is the easiest part) then you have 25 multiple choice then 10 true/false. Always looking out for students to make sure you get the best grade possible.

Hext is super chill, definitely one of the best professors I have had at Blinn. She knows her stuff pretty well, and the lectures are pretty cool. There are online quizzes, but all of the answers are on Quizlet. For tests, she gives a review the class before, with everything that is gonna be on it. Just show up and pass!

Kristi is obsessed with everything art. She is so enthusiastic and wants you to learn. I took her blended class, and every week a quiz & 3 paragraph discussion post was due. The tests were harder, they're written and you have to research, but they're online so that helped. Super easy A if you do your work!

Amazing teacher. TAKE HER! All you do is show up to class, memorize 20 slides for the 2 tests of the semester, and record the lecture on review day because she literally reads off the test. Best teacher there is!

You will get an A on every test if you just listen to the review days and memorize the slides! She wants you to do well and really cares about the material.

Ms. Hext is one of the most sweet and understanding profs I've ever had! She's so passionate about art and what she teaches and tries to instill that in you as well. The book is needed for the quizzes, but a majority of what you need to know is based off her lectures. She always reviews right before an exam and gives you everything you need to know

Professor Hext is a very caring professor that is certainly inspired by art. She is outgoing and teaches the material effectively. Her online quizzes/discussion boards are very easy and make up a large portion of the grade. The tests are free response and are also easy grades. She is very passionate and I highly recommend her!

Prof Hext is a professor who clearly knows what shes talking about. She understands that most students dont have a passion for art history and makes the class fairly easy. She does have a group project that you should start on early, but she grades very easy. Lots of easy extra credit opportunities. Her passion for art made me pursue a minor in art

She truly cares for each of her students and wants you to do the best throughout your college career wether you are an art major or not. Going into Blinn, I had come from a University and ended up changing my major because she has shown me what I am capable of. Love her!

Dr. Hext is the best professor to earn a art credit. Quizzes are online and easy, she lectures alot but enjoys teaching so its not hard to set through at all. Overall 10/10, one research paper and group assignment.

My degree requires 3 hours of creative arts. I wasn't sure how it would play out if it would be crazy hard or an easy A. Proff. Hext has by far been my favorite Proff. since I started school. It wasn't an easy A for say. For her test just memorize the artworks she gives you, and the questions are pretty simple. Just do good on the presentation.

I had Hext for Art History & Painting. She is the best teacher I've ever had in my life. She is so passionate about what she teaches, and her course is really easy. If she knows you put in the work and care about your grade, she is understanding and will try to help you out as much as she can. I can't say enough good things about her.

Best minimester ever. Everything was on quizlet and only one out of the three tests were proctored. Daily quizzes and discussion but she basically gives you a 100 if you do it.

She makes the class enjoyable. She is clear on what she wants so should never be confused on what you need to do for her assignments. She doesn't load you down on work and she stays on track with the syllabus. I took this class as a minimester and I am so happy I did because it was so easy.

LOVED this woman. She was so passionate about what she taught it's amazing. I have never taken an art class and was nervous at first but it wasn't too bad. You definitely need to study but the tests are sooo easy and straightforward. She cares about her students and is just an amazing professor overall.

(she even acknowledges that lol) The book was really not necessary but get it. If you need to take an Art class or may need one if you are transferring to a 4-year school, take her!!!!!!

Her class is mostly quizzes based on the textbook and you need to pay attention to her lectures because it will be on tests. I truly enjoyed her class and I would take another course with her

Professor Hext was such a sweet professor! There are quizzes and discussions due every Friday, but the quizzes are open note and very easy. There are two exams and a final that are all open note/open book as well. One powerpoint project that was easy as well.

Genuinely the best professor I could've asked for my minimester class. My class as completely online but she does her absolute best to make sure the students are doing okay and it shows. Responds quick to emails, makes assignments very clear, and is understanding that two weeks is very short for a class. Amazing prof, take her if possible.
