She's extremely unclear in her directions and expects you to do things exactly to what she wants. Ask her to explain and you'll come away more confused. She has a habit of sending emails before class changing what she wants turned in the next morning & she may decide your work isn't worth grading.

If you want to waste your time and give yourself a breakdown from doing stupid, tedious projects then feel free to take her class. Bruzenak is an evil b**** and a terrible teacher. She never explains anything clearly and is boring as s***.

Professor Bruzenak was a HORRIBLE teacher.She didn't know what she was doing and all the projects were the same. It was a waste of $2,000 dollars. She was very unclear and unorganized. I had her the first year she was teaching and obviously she still doesn't know what she is doing.

I hated this woman - totally confusing, condescending, and just plane hateful. A waste of time and money- she will never give you above a C- no matter how hard you work.

This has been by far the worst prof that i have ever had. I like hard teachers but i think you actually have to teach to be consided a teacher. avoid this woman at all cost. She is unorganized,she hates criticism and her grading is completely unpredictable. She is even worse than NAN RAINEY, which i thought was the most annoying woman. I was wrong

Stay away from this woman at all costs. The very worst experience I have EVER had in a classroom. She picks her favorites, and grades become dependent on that. She doesn't care how outgoing you are to learn, and it never reflects on your grade whether you sought extra help from her or not. You will regret signing up for her. Guaranteed.

Incredibly difficult teacher. Not only does she patronize her students, but does not appreciate hard work. Her teaching style is incomprehensible. She believes that if you can't understand exactly what she says, then it's indirectly your problem and not hers. If you take her, may the heavens be with you.

The question to SCAD administration is why is she still teaching at the school?

Has no concept of how to upload images to the internet, yet teaches an online studio class. Lectures are nonexistent. I dropped the class after the first week when I realized how little I was getting for my money. Avoid online studio classes (paradoxical) at his school and avoid this teacher.

Alright, let's get this straight. I love drawing. Well, I did. Until I met this woman. She insists that her way is the only way to draw and jumps down your throat if you get it wrong... while at the same time telling you that it is okay if you can't draw. LIES! If you aren't a brown nosing freak, don't take her class.

No matter how many times you say to her, I don't understand what you're saying or I don't see what you're telling me to see...she doesn't help. So expects you to get it right off the bat and if a question is asked she will find the first way out of answering it. DONT TAKE THIS TEACHER. I read that before I took her and now I realize how true it is.

This teacher is horrible, She is not clear about anything (I mean anything) It was my first drawing class and I now hate drawing. Do not take this class unless you already know hoe to draw. She will let you get halfway into a drawing and then tell you its Wrong. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSOR

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!! Not only does she not explain anything she picks favorites and choses grades based on that. She is very harsh but changes her advise every time she talks to you. I would avoid her class if at all possible. She is very structural and if you are an architecture major you may stand a chance.

Very difficult to understand and blames all failures to understand on the student. Spent the first five weeks thinking this was my fault, then realized nobody was getting it, and dropped. Strikes me as being very narcissistic and disinterested in teaching anyone who doesn't think her manner of teaching is flawless, takes criticism poorly.

When I talked to her about my troubles in thinking of color mathematically, she honest to god told me not to "think or feel anything about color or my education". This is by far not the only instance of contradiction in her instruction. Nice lady out of class, but EXTREMELY misguided.

This professor is absolutely horrible. She scribbles on the board and expects the students to be experts by the end of the week. She is sarcastic and condescending. Do not expect a good grade from her no matter what you do.

I like a challenging teacher, but this woman is downright EVIL. Insipid, condescending, crazy, wears very stark, scary make-up too. She made several people cry in my class because there was no way we could please her. You'll never have a worse classroom experience in your life.

This was an extremely hard and stressful online class for me. I would regualarly be up to 3am finishing assignments and praying for a B to keep my scholarship. I emailed her for help at the end of quarter and got no response. Very harsh grading and very high expectations. I am a photography major, I'm not an artist!

she is unclear, unorganized, and hypocritical when it comes to the content she's teaching. she requires ridiculously detailed process folios (and she'll change the requirements for these about 8 billion times before it's due) and has insanely specific matting requirements. DO NOT TAKE HER

Bruzenak is extremely diluted and confusing in her explanation of what students are supposed to do in her class. We are constantly unsure of what's assigned, and she is rude or oblivious when a student asks for help. Obviously she knows she's horrible-- she constantly talks about how its normal to be confused, and to not blame the professor.

I thought that the people who left negative reviews for her were bad students, they are all telling the truth. She constantly changes requirements for projects so you have to scramble to turn things in, and tells you "not to blame the teacher" for not understanding. I have learned nothing, but it was funny to watch her tell off certain students.

Very intelligent woman, but is over zealous and very dismissive of class discussion, particularly opinions that do not pertain to her. Only taught the last two weeks of class for some reason... Extra help is a must & when she gives you her cell phone # at the beginning of the quarter, take it. You'll need it.

She's incredibly vague with project descriptions (tells us to do one thing, but then posts something different online), changes deadlines at 11pm the night before something is due, spends the class lecturing topics that have nothing to do w/the course, lost one of my drawings & told students to fill out prof evaluations while she stood behind them

Prof. contradicts herself and doesn't follow project briefs and changes them multiple times if you don't follow every word on the brief or out of her mouth in class goodluck bringing your grade back up ps. Reaptedly took off points for making corrections she gave me in class

I have never been so disappointed in a class. I'm all for challenging courses but this is ridiculous. Because she is a scientific illustrator her opinions are onesided. Any creativity you want to have is destroyed. You think you will follow the guidelines but end up getting an F for the project. She is not helpful nor a good teacher. Reconsider!

She doesn't seem to know what she's doing and NEVER gives clear instructions in class. She's favorable towards her favorite students and the others don't get good grades even those who deserve it. She seems to be very lost and classes are SO BORING. I'm never taking a class with her again.

Professor Bruzenak is one of the least helpful teachers I've ever had. She will give unreasonable amounts of weekend homework and expects you to know how to do every project without explanation. She has no desire to help her students improve even if you make the effort by meeting with her and going to her help sessions. Avoid her at all costs.

Run. This woman doesn't follow the syllabus at all, changes anything about a project last minute, is incredibly vague about the requirements for projects as well as the grading criteria, and manages to be displeased when you didn't manage to do thing she never told you to. Will forget literally anything making you have to fight to remind her.

This course was such a monumental disappointment, I almost quit this entire Masters Program. Her grading and expectations vary so wildly I had to lodge a formal complaint with SCAD. She urges you to communicate via personal texts. She occasionally grades for the wrong course. The grading rubrics to not align with assignment expectations.

First of all, her dog is so LOUD. Horribly trained and barks every 5 damn seconds while she lectures or when someone is presenting their work on Zoom. Secondly, her grading is annoying. If you think you like the way your project turns out, she'll give you a B because you didn't follow her critique on the discussion board. What the hell, Kristie?!

Probably the most frustrating prof I've had. Consistently unprepared for class and started zoom meetings late. She's a scientific illustrator, and if you aren't a realist artist she will find the silliest things to nitpick. Constantly changed her expectations. This class has been so awful, unclear instruction and somehow SCAD makes her teaches two class in the same class period. Not getting enough education and when someone asked a simple question she takes forever to explain and going off tangent. There not much teaching going on, only nitpicks. Just DONT do it, its not worth it.

Extremely frustrating. Never clear on due dates, constantly changing criteria and expectations. Confusing critique and rude to students. Did NOT know how to operate technology at all to the point where the students in our class had to take over multiple times and show her what she was doing. Pretty much had to teach myself everything.

I thought this professor would be okay at first, She seemed nice enough but after add/drop she became rude and unbearable. Her assessments are vague and if you don't understand good luck because all the feedback you will get is "do research". Gave me a 0 on an assignment for not knowing what a grand vista was. Terrible and will never take again

This woman is unreachable by email. She hasn't replied to a single email I've sent her all quarter. She constantly changes due dates, grading criteria, everything. She tells you to do one thing, and then when she grades it, she decides that she hates it and you're the one who suffers from it. My god, do not take her

She hasn't replied to any of my emails. She gave me absences that I was there for. I was able to prove I was there but it was never changed. Had to withdraw. Do not take her if you think you'll need her outside of class, she drops off of the face of the earth during the week and weekends. Awful professor.

Her rubric says one thing and her critique says another. You WILL be graded harshly without any reason! A lot of students in my class, myself included, have reported her for her lack of care about our online class as well as the inconsistent lack of communication on what is required of us! I would wait for another prof to teach the Sci ILLU class!

Awful. Learned everything on my own. Cannot use computers, students need to step in and teach her how to do things and students have to demo FOR her. The feedback is unhelpful. Incredibly biased; not her area, she's not interested in it. We don't all wanna work for Hallmark or Caspari. Awful class and teacher. Avoid if you can, do fibers instead.

Be careful with her. She is nice as a friend, but iffy as a professor. I took her twice for the sci illu minor and both times were rocky. She doesn't keep with the syllabus and always has something to say when doing traditional art, misuses pronouns when directly in front of her, and is stuck teaching a curriculum that was made over 15 years ago.

She taught two classes (315 & 345) concurrently, which meant either class would spend upwards of an hour and a half in a Zoom breakout room. She provided our class one demonstration the whole quarter, the rest was self taught via YouTube. She implied that digital art is a cop-out and that SEQA was for children. Regretting my SCI ILLU minor.

Awful person. Shes so rude and passive aggressive, which makes it anxiety inducing to ask her questions, which is supposed to be encouraged. She also misgendered my friend and I in front of the whole class and gave me a zero for an assignment that she had literally confirmed via email I could use my extension on days before the due date.

I do not recommend her to anyone. The entire class never knew what was going on, even one of the chairs of ILLU was also confused on her project directions. Constant anxiety in her class. I genuinely dread going to her class constantly...don't sign up for her unless you HAVE to.

Tough grader, her rubrics make little to no sense, and bad at managing project deadlines. does not know what a 'compliment sandwich' is. Called me uncreative when reviewing my work for a LANDSCAPE project. during this she looked at only two of the several sketches that i had, then ignored the rest. thought she wouldn't be this bad, but she is!

I have never had to deal with a professor as rude and disrespectful as her. She would constantly berate and belittle student's work and concepts in non-constructive ways. she called people's work boring and lifeless without advising them on how to improve. I cannot express enough how much I advise you to avoid taking her class.

You must come into this class already having your masters and being a professional to at least get a C.

She's okay at lecturing, but I wouldn't take her. She is terrible with communication, had to contact her 5 separate times to have her do something. The criteria on her briefs didn't match the syllabus, those didn't match her announcements, even some of the stuff on her handouts had inconsistencies within the same sentence.

Assignment briefs are unnecessarily wordy and confusing. Demos are very slow and often drawn out. The professor is willing to work with students but quickly becomes frustrated/rude when you don't understand what she wants from you. Additionally, she interjects her personal opinion into matters that should be objective. Wouldn't not take again

This is genuinely one of the worst classes I've ever taken. She cannot manage project timelines for the life of her. She gave us two weeks for sketches and ideation but only the weekend for the final watercolor painting. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. I genuinely don't know how she is still a teacher here. She never responds to emails either.

Currently have an F in the class because I forgot to submit the process book along with the drawing, which are considered two separate submissions. She won't grade the drawing submission that I did and will ignore every email I send to remind her. She would also take points off for correct presentation and I had to ask for points back.

Worst prof so far. Inconsistent briefs, poor communication, and contradictory advice. Has you submit work in 3 places. Wastes the majority of class time on pointless demos and ramblings. Gave too much work for very little class time. Does nothing about disruptive students. Didn't acknowledge roommate's accommodations. Condescending & not supportive

For our first assignment, almost everybody in my class submitted the assignment incorrectly due to unclear expectations in the rubric. She would tell us to do one thing in class, then blackboard would say something completely different. Projects took way longer to complete simply because she would leave out important information in demos.

The course was already confusing but her teaching made it worse. When I would get critiques from her and ask for help on how to fix the projects her explanations were confusing and never helped. She would tell students different information as to what was on the assignment briefs which made the instructions frustrating to follow. AVOID HER.

I thought I'd be okay given this was a prerequisite for my studio 1 class, and i got a waiver,i'm in studio 2 already and doing well too.She is utterly disrespectful,unorganized and mean. She hasn't taught us anything.Whys an interior design major is being asked to make industrial cars?no guidance too?idk why scad hired her she should be expelled:/
