I took critical thinking and ehtics with her and she was great, answers all questions, is clear in her lecture and fair with the preparation and grading of tests. she has a wide array of knowledge and is able to clarify material. I totally recommend her.

probably the smartest prof you will ever meet. not the easiest class but tries her best to make it as clear as possible. there is alot of reading and pop quizes but if u pay attention and read what you are suppose to then u will be fine. she gives great reviews for exams and final

This Professor is very fair with grades..In office hours she is always available. Im taking her now in Summer and her tests are essays but if you study and understand he concept shes teaching you'll get an A.. She does help a lot. Gives extra crediit. I highly recommend her. She knows what shes talking about and shes very open minded.

just took her final for summer A .. loved her!!! she was amazinggg and I really wish she taught alot more classes.. she was so clear with the subjects and although it was a short term she made the class as interesting and clear as possible.. she is strict and she is extremely fair but she is such a good teacher i HIGHLY recommend her !!

Great Professor. Helpful, she does not want you yo fail but you have to put in the work. As long as you read the text she assigns you will pass. I took her for the summer and I earn an A. I like the Ethic part but hate the critical thinking part. Take her shes the BEST!

Great professor. If you show up to every class and do the readings you will get an A. Photocopy textbook from library. Professor emails readings that are not in textbook.

She is very helpful. you always have the chance for extra credit. and as long as you do your reading you would do fine in the in-class assignments. and for the exams, as long as you go to the reviews and again done your reading, your guaranteed and easy A (ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY)

This is one of the best professors you will encounter at dade. There is alot of reading and she sometimes gives questions on the readings. Only 2 papers on subject and one about ourself. She will go out of her way to check your paper so you can get a good grade. Overall as long as you read and do the papers and get it checked you should get an A or at least a B. Her class changes views and enriches our minds with valuable knowlege.

She is the BEST of the BEST, i got a B+ because i was lazy. if you dont get an A in her class is because you are lazy like me, she gives you 3 exams, 2 extra credits homework, and every homework she gives you count for your last score, and on top of everything she gives you reviews before every test with the questioin that actually appear on it.

Professor Borgwald is great! She very helpul and clear in everything that she teaches. The class is very interesting and I definitely learned a lot. Her exams are easily aced if one takes the time to study THOROUGHLY. I highly reccomend her!

Professor Borgwald is an excellent teacher but you do have to study and read a lot in order to do well in this class. If you want to learn, she's the right professor for you.

I took her for the summer PHI2604. GREAT PROFESSOR she knows her stuff and gives a friendly environment for discussion. Just do your reading and the assignments, tons of chances to do extra credit. No excuse not to pass with a A+++++

This is honestly the best professor I've ever had.The class is interesting and engaging and everything is always explained clearly.Textbook is required but honestly, if you show up to class and take notes you could pass the assignments with at least an 80 and not even have to use the book as long as you pay attention.Best class and professor by far

This professor is so amazing! her classes are super interesting and you would actually look forward to them. She explains things crystal clear, and helps you out with the exam reviews during her office hours. You need the book to complete the writing assignments but i found all of the articles online so dont bother. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!!

Interesting class because she makes it interesting. She is a great professor who wants you to pass. Make sure you read the the excerpts(theyre really short) and you will get 100 on all of the writings. On the major papers, as long as you follow her guidelines and are a decent writer, you should finish with 85+. Easy A if youre not lazy. B if u r.

She's a great professor.I took her blended class. All assignments are on Angel, and we had to do 1 each week.We had 3 exams: 1 multiple choices and 2 other exams(2 short essays answer each).They are all easy and multiple opportunity of extra credits.I had more than 100% in her class. Just make sure that u understand the material and you'll be fine.

Fantastic teacher; superb at what she does. Her online class was very enjoyable because unlike most professors, she actually provides you with regular feedback. Her calendar of assignments is well-structured with 3 simple weekly assignments due every Thursday. Her quizzes and proctored final were not impossibly hard. I loved her class, she's great!

Great professor to take online. Overall the class was straight forward, you need the book, three assignments per week. One discussion, one reflective log, and one quiz per chapter. The quizzes are usually 20 problems to do in 120 minutes. I learned a lot in the class, she is organized and provides feedback when grading assignments.

I am an international student. At the beginning I was scared because the class looked hard.3 tests 25%each plus 13/15mini test during classes (she drops the two lowest grades, worth 25% ). professor super cool. not easy, but if you study you are going to get an easy A ad you re going to learn a lot.

Easy class. Work is due each Thursday, no midterm. Do all your work and you will pass. Teacher responds to emails quickly and gives you a chance to resubmit if you didn't do the assignment correctly.

A magnificent professor. Her intimidating formality is soon overwhelmed by her comic relief. Read weekly articles as they will be discussed in class & sometimes chosen for classwork topics. Take note of everything she jots on the board & schedule an office appointment if you miss a lecture, she'll be glad to provide you with what you missed.

Excellent Professor !!! The book is mandatory ,so is the attendance as well . She has great office hours to discuss grades ,and paper topic you'll be writing for your lab. There's no makeup assignment.

Dr. Kristin E Borgwald was amazing! Her class overall is easy, the quizzes aren't too easy tho, but overall if you do the discussion, reflective log, you can earn an A. You need the text book for the quizzes. Study all your quizzes for the final! Take her! She responds very fast to your emails, and is willing to help you out. Good Luck

She's the amazing! Took Professor Borgwald in only 6 weeks and she was able to give us every bit on information in the nick of time. May seem intimidating at first, but she's actually really funny. Do the assignments and use the study guides for the exams, you'll pass with flying colors. She also gives extra credit. Highly recommended!

HOT, but that's besides the point. Her class requires much writing and thinking. Don't even think about letting your phone ring tho OR YOU'LL ALL PAY! unless you can make her laugh using a relevant philosophical idea as reference. One of the best professor I've had so far. She is amazing, and her class inspires many. She is the type of prof that know what they are teaching and loves very minutes of it. I can't wait to take another class with her. For PHI2010 you have to write two papers and a final essay based on a personal experience.

I have been lucky at MDC and Kristin is a sign of that. I took an expedited course and she warned that it would not be easy because it is a lot of information. I was nervous but within the 1st hour, I knew it would be a breeze because she is so well spoken and explained everything very well. If you do the work, you will pass. Loved her!

Professor Borgwald truly made this course a whole lot easier to grasp. She gives out clear-cut notes in class and study guides for both the midterm and final. I took this as a blended course and also had to turn in work online which was pretty easy. You will need 2 books, and sufficient effort to pass. If you don't pass then that's on you.

I LOVED THIS CLASS!! She's a sweetheart and she's funny! She makes sure you understand everything before moving on and she's on top of your progress. This class was a breeze but you do have to read!

not the most helpful professor ,don't miss an assignment or a test even if you're sick she won't accept any excuses and you won't be able to make it up, so do your best to stay healthy, do your best to do every assignment and you will pass, she doesn't give extra credit. Here class is easy. It's all about read each article she assigns period. I managed a B only because I didn't read all the articles toward the end. Super intelligent and interesting woman. Very funny and interesting class. Thought it was be lame but turned out to be my favorite class.

She gives off a tough no-nonsense vibe. But she's still cool. Dont sleep or txt in her class. And make sure you're ALWAYS there, you could know that book inside n out but miss that class and ur outta luck. The notes she gives inclass are golden. Only got a B because I didnt read or buy the 2nd book.

I took multiple classes with Dr. Borgwald at MDC. These include: intro to philosophy, political philosophy, and ethics. Dr. Borgwald goes above and beyond trying to simplify philosophical notions. She makes class easy to understand but don't think that this translates to being an easy grader. Dr. Borgwald is easily one of the best professors at MDC

I took Professor Borgwald twice since she is amazing(for PHI2604 and PHI2010)! There were two papers (4 pgs minimum) for this class but she helps you with it. Borgwald makes Philosophy incredibly interesting and really makes you think. She may look intimidating but is really nice. TAKE HER!

I took this class online and was fairly easy. You do have to read a lot and write 3 paragraph summaries of the assigned readings, I think there are 5 modules so 5 readings and 3 conversations for each module. A final exam that she gives a study guide, very easy. Also I made 2 mistakes submitting the summaries and she allowed me to resubmitted.

HOW DO I EVEN BEGIN. SIMPLY AMAZING AFTER A YEAR AWAY FROM HER CLASS HER PRESENCE IS STILL FELT AND HER TEACHING LIVES ON. SHE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR AND AN AWESOME HUMAN BEING. HER PHILOSOPHY CLASS IS THE BEST. I THINK SHE IS A MACHIAVELLIAN LEADER LOL !!!!!SHE IS AWESOME. :-)

Shes a very good professor she gives you the syllable which have a list of a all the assignments due dates. I took her for the blended course which wasn't difficult at all be sure to read the textbook and summarize i would suggest you buy them from chegg which is way cheaper than the bookstore she also gives study guide and is available for help.

I love her! Funny, explains well, she just makes sense. All due dates given on the first day. Tests were easy. I highly recommend, she really really cares about her students. She's one of the good ones!

Took her this semester and she's one of my favorite professors at this campus. Knows what she's talking about! Explains in depth and uses examples that help you remember the content. You'll read/write a lot/ earn your grade but she is fair and incredibly helpful. Take advantage of the extra credit! I got 107/103 on my first 2 exams because of it.

Overall Professor Borgwald, is one of the best professors I've taken. Do the extra credit even though you have high grade, trust me it's worth it. I took the blended course and it consists of 3 exams. There was a written exam, and I suggest that you study! The lectures are amazing, she makes it fun and easy to understand. Was a blended course, only met once a week. She give 3 quizzes. The first 1/3 of the class is easy. You dont have to read the pages she assigns cause she covers everything you need to know in the lectures. Just take notes. The 2nd quiz (2 essays in one sitting) will kill you if you dont study. After that is easy. LOTS of note taking. Beefy overall

By far the easiest class Ive taken in virtual college. All subjects are super interesting. Discussion are mostly your thoughts on the subject. 2 quizzes and Essays are super short. If you read the material on the textbook youll pass with an A. Easy grader.

This class was a piece of cake because of professor Borgwald I took her online and the syllabus consisted of two quizzes and then reading summaries plus four essays that are timed (dont stress though theyre common sense based essays not something you need to learn about). And you also have a final just study and do your work on time and youll Pass

I was dreading this class, so glad I took it with her! Did virtual college and it was the easiest class I had this semester. 2 quizzes at the beginning of the semester and two discussion topics plus a reading summary per module. There were 4 timed (1 hour) Gordon rule essays that were based on common sense. Very easy and kind, take her!

I took her class online over the summer. If you do all the assignments, it is an easy A. 12 summaries, 4 essay discussions, the first 7 quizzes are inQuizitive and the other are on Blackboard, No exams.

Great teacher. Very straightforward class but very interesting. There is a lot of writing in the class but there are ZERO proctored exams. No midterm or final. Definitely worth it. I highly recommend her.
