She teaches in a somewhat flipped classroom style but it works for the material. She clearly wants all of her students to succeed and gives lots of resources that if you use will help a lot. This class is mainly memorization so it takes a lot of studying. How much you study is the main reflection of the grade you receive.

Dr. Ondrak is my favorite professor this semester! The class is based off of powerpoints posted on sakai. "Content on the powerpoints are fair game". The only bad thing about this class is the muscle quizzes which take a lot of time to study for. Overall though, great class and great professor. She wants the best for her students. Very helpful.

Dr. Ondrak is so caring and truly tries to help at every step of the way. She makes sure that you have a ton of helpful resources and she is very reasonable with quiz and test questions. You'll have to study a lot and the muscle quizzes are ROUGH but the class is do-able. Your whole grade is quizzes and test so be aware of that.

Good Class and it's basically all memorization. Muscle quizzes were impossible which is why I made a B rather than A but get ready to study.

Lecture is pointless; she literally reads from the PowerPoints. Listening to and reading the PowerPoints online are all you have to do for the test. That being said, the tests cover a wide range of topics, so think again if studying the night before is the way to get an A. Studied days in a row for muscles quizzes and still could never get a 100...

Anatomy is a tough course, you have to study a lot for it. I am a flashcard guru and those were essential with every quiz/test. Final was 90% old test questions, and tests/quizzes during the semester were directly from powerpoints. Lecture isn't required, but does make you study twice a week if you utilize it. Dr. Ondrak is an awesome person too!!

Great class. Lots of studying but that is expected of any Anatomy course. Dr Ondrak is very insightful and I would take her class again.

I did not do so hot on the first test, and going to Dr. Ondrak's office hours really helped me earn the grade I received. I had an 89.47 in the class and she bumped me to an A- (89.5) because of my effort. This is not an easy class...I studied hours upon hours for the exams. Her questions were fair. Go to class to grasp the material better.

USE THE STUDY GUIDES SHE PROVIDES - they saved my grade. If you want to do well on the tests: study guide, practice exam, and WILEYPLUS ACTIVITIES.

I loved Dr. Ondrak's class. She really seemed to care that we were learning and understanding the material. She provides you with so many resources that help a lot. The most important thing for this class is to have good time management with the muscles. Overall she was great, and she does kahoot! which I loved.

A lot of people skipped her lectures because it wasn't mandatory, but I think its good review and preparation for exams. If you study the lectures and do WileyPlus practice a lot you will ace the exams they are not that challenging, however you must understand everything well. Muscle quizzes are hard but I studied a lot and still did well.

Dr. Ondrak was great. She made complicated topics easy to understand and her tests were very fair. Shell give you everything you need to do well and emphasizes big picture concepts throughout the course, rather than tiny details stated in the book. Just taking the time to thoroughly review your notes is more than enough. Highly recommend!

Prof Ondrak did a great job listening to students' feedback and making adjustments as needed. Studying the powerpoint slides and doing the Anatomy Drill & Practice activities will prepare you the most for exams. Muscle quizzes can be difficult! Overall, Prof Ondrak is great and cares about you learning and understanding the material.

Dr. Ondrak really cares about her students. I got a concussion before the beginning of the semester and she was really understanding. She even contacted the Office of Dean of Students to help me get accommodations! Attendance isn't required, but hearing her actual lecture is helpful since the in-class slides aren't very detailed. Highly recommend!

Love her!!! This class is a lot of memorization, but she makes it really clear what will be on the tests (& no trick questions) so as long as you study you should do well! Take the notes she posts and then go to class to make sure you get it. Three midterms, a few homeworks, 3 muscle quizzes, and a final! She really wants her students to do well!

Dr. Ondrak is so good at explaining hard concepts and making them easy to understand. Your wiley plus assignments (open note, multiple choice questions) and exams make up all of your grade. If you confidently know the powerpoint slides you can easily get an A on each exam. She is always willing to help and go over confusing concepts!

I love Ondrak! I had her for EXSS 175 and 276 and she was great both times. She is very accommodating for any circumstances if you only reach out, especially for a teacher that teaches such a big lecture class. You don't have to read the textbook if you take good notes and review them before a test.

Anatomy itself has a lot of information to take in, but Dr. Ondrak was very kind and understanding. She would always check in on us even with 175+ people in the class. Exams were straight from the notes as long as you took them and studied. Zooms were technically required, but you could do the participation part after class and still get a 100.

This class was hard. You have to know a lot of small details about the processes of the body, but Dr. Ondrak teaches it very well & she encourages you to go to office hours. Even though I ended up getting a good grade, I really had to work for it and studied all the time. But I would highly recommend taking 175 and 276 with Dr. Ondrak, she's great.

She's awesome. She starts every class by asking how everyone is doing and genuinely seems to care about our responses, making sure to mention that she and the TAs are always "here for us". Anatomy is a TON of memorization. There isn't any way around it. But Dr. Ondrak does her best to give tips on how to remember everything.

Dr. Ondrak is a great prof and works with you on deadlines/extensions. Tests are a bit challenging so studying ahead of time is essential. Does a great job of balancing out the weight of assignments so one poor grade wouldn't hurt you. Easy weekly quizzes and hw assignments. A lot of memorization but it's expected with anatomy. I highly recommend!

Ondrak made my fears of anatomy disappear! There's a lot of content but she covers it in manageable chunks and gives plenty of resources to learn/practice. Because there's so much content there are narrated lectures to watch before class but in-class lectures cover the important points so it narrows it down. I'd definitely take with her if you can!

Dr. Ondrak is one of the best professors I have ever had. The content was difficult and you need to apply yourself but she was constantly there to support and help me at any time. She explained things very clearly and gave us multiple resources to use to learn the material and encouraged us to meet with her/TA's if we were confused.

Dr. Ondrak is a great lecturer and is great at explaining physiology but her final exam is EXTREMELY difficult, even if you study a lot for it. The other exams aren't too bad. I do not enjoy physiology at all but she was also kind and willing to answer questions.

I really enjoyed Professor Ondrak and anatomy! Lots of content to cover, but she broke it down in a way that made it pretty manageable. For tests, make sure to practice A LOT using the practice activities. All of the assignments and exams were fair and manageable. She was also great about providing help outside of class!

dr ondrak is one of the most caring professors i've ever had. with 200+ students she saw me outside of class and talked for a bit so she genuinely cares about you as a person and a student. her content is HARD but she makes it as easy as possible. VERY mental health conscious. dont need the txtbook but be ready to study A LOT (SP20 and FA21)

Dr. Ondrak and her team of TAs were so consistent in providing help and support! No real homework aside from studying. Her tests are completely fair and I personally found them to be really easy, just listen and study the PowerPoints! Dr. Ondrak has so many resources and the class is very hands on to help you really grasp the course material.

This is my second class with Ondrak and I couldn't recommend her enough! She is a great lecturer and outlines the expectations for every exam. 276 has a lot of information but if you follow her outlines and put in the work you will be golden! She even offered extra credit through course evals and a survey. Take with her if you ever have the option!

EXSS 276 was a very difficult class, but if you put in time outside of class you can succeed. Office hours are a must, the TAs are amazing and I suggest going every week. Exams are most of your grade but the info is super interesting and Ondrak is a great lecturer. This class takes work, so rewrite your notes and talk it out as much as you can.

She is a great professor who is super transparent about the content for tests. If you study the materials she provides you will do well. Take advantage of Visible Body and Wiley Plus resources for practice! These resources are the key ingredients to doing well in the class. She does offer small extra credit on exams.

Be prepared to study and understand the concepts. Class was asynchronous on Tuesdays and in person on Thursdays were in person. I wish class was in person always because i'd find myself not doing the asynchronous lessons. The exams were fair and were multiple choice and a few free response questions but were graded heavily.

Anatomy is a hard subject but she breaks it down and is very fair. Also offers lots of extra credit for the final exam (up to 6 points). Willing to meet with you outside of class. HW is 25% of grade and the three exams make up the other 75%. It is all memorization so you have to put in the time.

Anatomy is difficult material, but prof Ondrak teaches the best she can. She is passionate about the topic, is very open to answering questions, and is always very understanding and accommodating. Only one in-person class a week. However, that also means you have to teach yourself material and study A LOT outside of class time in order to do well.

Utilize quizlet + VisibleBody, but be ready to study a lot.

This class requires more studying than 155. The short response on tests can be hit-or-miss (the ones created by the TA were way easier.). Definitely create a study plan and stick to it. Dr. Ondrak did make the class engaging, and she was very accessible outside of class. Also class was async on Tuesdays.

This is for both 155 and 256, she is an AMAZING professor, clearly explains the material and has a genuine will to teach her students everything she knows, and seeing them succeed, helped me with outside-of-class things, and was very understanding of things that came up during the semester and summer. Don't have much choice, but still take her!

She always makes herself available outside of class for any questions or concerns. Overall, EXSS256 requires you to put in the time and work, but Ondrak is the best option to make this content comprehensible.

Ondrak is great - this class is very standardized, so it's more about the content than the professor. However, Ondrak makes grading criteria very clear. This class is 100% memorization, and there is a LOT to memorize, but it is not too bad if you try. 2 midterms and a 30% cumulative final.

This class is definitely challenging due to the heavy memorization and test-heavy structure. The format is also different from typical UNC classes—it's mostly online, so if that's not your learning style, it may not be the best fit. That said, Professor Ondrak is kind and offers plenty of study tools to help you prepare for the exams.

She gives access to all the course content through digestible slides—it's on you to put in the time to memorize details on all of the body's muscles, bones, ligaments, nerves, etc. Don't learn content for the first time on the night before a test.

Exams were strictly memorization based but there is just A LOT of material in each exam. She is super helpful and wants you to talk to her if you need help, never be scared to reach out. There are small homework assignments and quizzes that are weekly/biweekly, if you do all of those it is a great grade boost.

She clearly outlines exam content and the exams are fair. She's really nice and an engaging lecturer. You don't need to buy Visible Body, but it was very helpful.
