She is a good teacher, however she talks about her family too much and that is kind of annoying. I mean we are there to learn and not to hear about her son. I enjoyed the class, but wish that she would teach more English than talk about her home life.

I took eng 301 online. I found her to be fair and overall nice and easy to work with. She was not always the most helpful when it came to giving feedback. Her comments on some of my essays were vague and when I asked for clarification it didn’t get much better. Maybe she communicates better in person, but still a decent online instructor.

She is VERY funny & class is fun!!! She doesn't really teach you about writing, but lets you choose your own topics. Which I loved, but others had a very hard time w/it! I loved it because I took other papers I already wrote & revised them to fit what I needed. If you know what your doing, TAKE her. If you dont, TAKE someone else. FUN CLASS!!!!!!

I think the people giving her bad ratings are just dumba$$es that need to be put back in remedial English. Her class was NOT easy, but it was fair. There's a lot of work, but it's not the kind of hard work where you would pop a vein trying to figure it out. Her class was very organized and easy to follow. She's a great professor and grades fairly.

I took her summer online class. I loved how organized and clear everything was set up. I knew exactly what would be expected of me from day 1. The teacher is available and easy to contact. Grading is fair. If you do all the work you will get an A. There is quite a bit of work. The readings were feministic and you had to discuss them,for a warning.

Very funny, extremely liberal. My kind of teacher, definitely. Would have enjoyed her more had I not been wrongly placed into her class. Essays were easy. Quizzes were all on grammar and very simple. But again, its because I was in too low of a class.

Excellent teacher! she explains things crystal cear. Her lectures are so interesting. Keeps you entertained, and i took her class every fri in the evening for 3 hours. Essay were simple as she left it up to you on what to write about.

From the start she's a fireball, from the first night until the last class. Get over the four letter words, they are part of our literature. She has some of the greatest stories. Do you essays,read the homework stories and do the in class groups participation. This is not a sit on your hands class. Excellent instructor.

Kristina is an amazing professor. I took her for two classes and enjoyed every bit of them. Took online 6 week summer class and it was a lot of work, essay and other assignments due about each week. A lot of people that took online shouldn't have. Only recommended for those who can keep up with a fast pace and do not need too much direction or help. Essays can be redone if grade is bad. Great class but not recomm for first online class.

i TOOK HER FOR ENGLISH 300 AND 120. SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER. EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF WORK IN THE CLASS SHE IS STILL A GREAT TEACHER AS LONG AS YOUR NOT STEERED OFF BY DOING WORK. SHES VERY FUNNY AND WONT HAVE YOU BORED.

Easy class. I took it online, but be warned: she grades essays based on her personal opinions and not the essay assignment! It's mostly just busywork assignments, and the majority of the work is graded mostly on the fact that it's turned in.

Wonderful person, very tolerant. She let's you do your own topics, and all you have to do in return is to show up and read. Follow her on D2L and you'll be fine. Parental advisory required for her class. Don't take it if you're a hard up Christian or get easily offended. She gave me a great base for my future Honors English.

The best teacher I have ever had! She goes beyond her curriculum to help students think critically. She's very resourceful, and actually wants to see everybody succeed. Its easier to pass her class than it is to fail it.

Lectures are off-the-hook. Critical thinking more than straight English. Very approachable. If you can't get a B or higher in this class you're crazy. Loved every moment and would take her again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful teacher. Four essays, if I remember correctly, but she made it very clear what she wanted and lets you choose what your topic is for the most part. Final basically consisted of putting all essays, homework, and classwork into a folder and handing it to her. Likes to cuss, great sense of humor.

The most fun class I've taken in my entire life. Spent class time by debating sociological topics, felt like a sociology class with essays thrown in. If you are afraid of cussing, then don't take, she's worse than a sailor. Makes class engaging and fun. Impossible to fail. Relates with students. Some busy work, and 4 essays total. Got an A easily.

Not a class for the faint of heart, content is for adults, this is college guys, the 3 books mostly deal with death and crazies and are fascinating in their own right. Take her.

This was one of the easiest english classes I have ever taken. I took a summer course and didn't even have to stress over this class. She is very clear on what she wants and expects nothing less. Follow the prompt and you will pass the class no problem. Only had 5 essays over the summer but it was heavy in reading. (I still got an A w/o reading)

Professor Rogers is intelligent, kind, and extremely helpful. Lectures and class discussions were always entertaining, with a dash of profanity. (This is college people) No tests, weekly reading assignments, 3 essays, 1 research paper. Go to class and do the work and it's impossible to fail. One of the best classes I've taken at ARC.

She's extremely generous when it comes to grading and makes sure to tell you what she's looking for in her essays when it comes to getting a good grade. Occasionally it is easy to misunderstand her instructions, though taking advantage of her office hours helps to avoid that.

This was one of the best English Writing classes I took. I took her over the summer 6 weeks course and I loved it. Her essays were simple and straight to the point and even though there was a lot of reading, they were fun articles an relevant to present issues. I really recommend her.

I took 302 last year and still have many fond memories. Shes hilarious, relatable, and personable. FASHIONABLE. Real af and wont let you forget it. I looked forward to the class discussions. If anyone stepped out of line she was quick to put them in their place, which I appreciated because the subject matter was often intense. Take her class!!

I don't understand any of the negative comments, here maybe you took a different Kristina Rogers. There is a calendar with the due dates and a feedback button.

I took professor Rogers over the summer. It was online which made it a little more difficult. I was able to set up zoom appointments to get all of the help I needed. She was also understanding when I had some personal issues. She encouraged me to make up work, and I was able to pass the class.

I learned so much from Prof. Roger's class! There is a lot of reading, after all it is an English class, but I found the articles so interesting that it didn't matter. She is really easy to talk to and very understanding, just do the work to the best of your ability and you'll be fine! And if you get stuck just ask her for help!

So far one of the best professors I have ever had! I found the topics to be interesting and inspired me to do more research on it outside of class. She also hosted great discussions in class. No extra credit, but you could turn in late work at any time!

The professor is amazing and is seriously not a tough grader. All you have to do is just do the work and you're all set. No crazy stuff besides having to write four essays. (3 is enough to pass). The assignments given per week are marked complete or incomplete and aren't too heavy (about 3 or 4 given every week), and they're not too hard to do.

You have to be super lazy to have failed this class. Simple/ clear structure and nice, adaptable professor. Easy class credit and provided a lot of freedom to express your opinion through the writing assignments. :) Finished with a 99%.

Professor Rogers was awesome this semester. I appreciate how flexible and understanding she was of my absences. Essay topics were interesting. I recommend her class if you need it, I was really engaged. She was laidback and open which was great because we had amazing class discussions relating to our personal life.

Prof. Rogers, is an amazing person and an even better professor. I had some things going on during this term, and Rogers was not only flexible with the assignments but was easy to reach when having questions or concerns. She is the G.O.A.T in terms of professors and I would wish all professors in my future will be like somewhat like her. Thanks!

She's great, very understanding and constructive. The only thing I don't like is the grading, it's all or nothing so no partial credit, but infinite revisions. Falling behind will make it very difficult.

This is the best professor I have ever taken and I wish I could have her teach all my other classes. Everything is super simple and the grading is wonderful. She lets you fix any of the essays that you mess up on and it based on an incomplete or complete grading for all the assignments. If you can take her class, please do.

Professor Rogers makes ENGWR 302 incredibly interesting! It's not your typical english class so be prepared to think about the information she gives you. Some essays can be long (4 total) but the topics are very interesting and you generally have a lot of freedom to write about what you want. She is super accessible by email or Canvas messaging.
