Good prof, very approachable - looks for ways to help students - facilities were terrible. She tries to make sure everyone gets to hear the lecture but the acoustics were bad (therefore she had to harp on us about talking). Reasonable exam preparation.

Very good professor . My section (02) is very poorly behaved (talking to the point of interrupting) - which she has no tolerance for. She believes we should all be able to hear what she is saying since we paid $500 to sit in the chair...may seem motherly but serious students appreciate it.

Very easy class- especially with Mrs. Verner, she gives you all the answers and tell you exactly what's on the exam. I agree about the mom complex, but she really is a nice person... go to class and get an A!!

WOW! She actually cares that her students do well. No hidden agenda, no bell curve...targets the information to end-users...does not get too technical. When the material gets too hard uses a lot of good examples. Gives study tips throughout the semester. No surprises - just honest and admirable.

Just started the semester with her, and I cannot believe how helpful she is. She knows the material, and is sure to plan the class so she has time to stay after and spend extra time with those who need it, since some in the class are well ahead of others. She answers her e-mails about the course really fast.

She just rocks. She paces the class so those of us who know the material aren't too bored, and then has extra time to spend with the students that need it. Boring material - but great Prof.

I just completed my classes with Prof Verner. I agree with others on here, she is a great teacher. If anyone has the chance to take a class with her, do so. On a personal note: Now, if we can only get the U to hire more 6' blonde, green eyed women with legs that go on forever :) WOW!! She is a beauty for sure.

Very helpful prof. Explains everything into great detail.Always asks class if everyone understands, stays late to go over any questions of the course material. Very approachable. Makes lectures very interesting even if a little of the material can be a bit dry at times. She finds a way to manage a course with a large amount of students very well.

I'm taking Cyber Ethics over distance with her right now. She chooses really interesting topics for our discussions and adjusts the flow of the course in response to how the students are doing. She is online so often you never have to wait for answers. The course load is reasonable and is never overwhelming at any time.

Best Prof around! Go to every class, for those easy participation marks with your clickers, as well, she gives out bonus marks so make sure you go and STAY in class. Study definitions and there's no reason you can do badly on the exams. She's very clear and concise when doing examples of Excel and Access, just pay attention!

the first year of university is a big change but she makes it a lot less confusing for students with lots of hits and reminders when things are coming up. she also has a really good heart and cares about and respects us if you get a chance to take a course with her i highly recommend it. i am doing the applied it minor because of her. thx prof v!

She makes the course interesting and really helps advocate for her students. Answers emails almost immediately - even when the University is on break. Demonstrates all steps for projects and gives relevant reviews. If you go to class and do your work you can do really well.

A very good prof!

I'm taking my second class with her now (Cyber Ethics). She is amazingly fair and dedicated to her students. She goes way above and beyond for communicating back to us and gives great suggestions for us to improve our work. Note: This is a Distance Education class (that's why attendance isn't mandatory ;-)

Taking end users with her right now. She is by far the nicest and most accomodating prof at the U. She goes way out of her way to help us out and is always available. I like how she goes through core material and leaves at least 20 minutes in every class for students that need extra help. She had our midterm results back to us less than 3 hrs!!!

I would recommend everyone to take computer concept with her. She is one of the best teacher in the world.I am going to miss her class so badly.

Verner is very nice and handles student difficulties quite well. I believe she extended all of our assignments and the final take-home exam, which was quite helpful. This was an online class, so there wasn't any lecturing and all essay assignments. You MUST read the $70 magazine-sized textbook with ~80 pages for the essays and online discussions.

She is so fair and upfront. So long as you attend there is no reason you don't get a great mark. If you need her help - just ask. She stays late every class to help people and gets back to messages super fast. Uses online resources to provide lots of extra info.

Go to class.. do your work..get an A. Start projects when you get them...she provides a list of details for all of them. If you can check off the requirements you will get perfect.

Verner is probably my favourite prof I've had. She's an extremely helpful, accommodating, understanding, and approachable woman. She is constantly encouraging people to contact her if any assistance is needed and she responds in a timely manner. If you do your work and attend class, you'll get an A+ for sure. She was very helpful. I enjoyed her class and would recommend her as a prof to others. A few class friends had a small issue at first, but after talking to them it was their error not hers. Sometimes us students just miss things..must read ;) Anyway, she was there when I needed her which is all that matters...more so then some other prof's of mine!

This was the first offering of the course, so there were some bugs with the course. The prof got back to any e-mails I sent within a few hours and was online more than scheduled. When she noticed we were struggling she actually re-did the evaluation to make sure we did well! She went way above and beyond! TAs were distracted with their own work.

Took 2 courses with her before. This one had a few twists a it was new. Prof was really open to suggestions. I misunderstood an assignment and she worked with me for an entire weekend to get me back on track. Still the best Prof I had in my 4 years at Windsor. She cares about her students so much. Instructions and marking process were clear.

Best experience in my university career... She responds quickly, marking is returned in a very reasonable time. She also provides a lot of guidance and support to her students. I highly recommend her as an instructor and the Cyber Ethics course as well. Interesting material and she keeps it fresh with current media issues as well.

Incredible - has things marked so quickly and responds to student e-mails within minutes every day! So helpful. Mixes up the textbook with practical assignments where we actually apply what we read. Wish there was more practical use of tech, but understand the U can't force ppl to use FB, Twitter, etc.

This is my second time taking a course with Verner. Amazing as always. No final in this class, all forum discussions and essays and a final report. You better not mind writing a lot for this class because it's all 2000-3000 word essays - but it's not hard material. Recommended for sure

This is the easiest A+ you will ever get. 4 essays and 3 one-pagers. Do not buy the textbook, you will never use it. Verner responds quickly to emails and helps clarify any concerns.

Great and Easy Class Got an A But you have to write a lot of essays

Assignments GALORE but the assignments have strict guidelines and if you follow them, you will get a great mark. She is so understanding of every situation, I turned in a couple of assignments late due to personal reasons and she did not penalize me. She is very helpful. This is my first ever review ever and I had to because she is that great.

It was an easy course, the final exam was a take home and it was very long but overall the course is easy.

It was an online class, and there were times where I E-mailed her for help, and she replied back within 15 minutes! She cares about her students doing well. There's a lot of writing in the class, but as long as you follow rubric, and learn the exam study guide (that she gives you), there's no reason you can't get an A in this class.

Professer Vernor is the best professor I've had throughout my university experience. She actually cares about her students succeeding. I had her twice. She answers all her e-mails immediately. The most I'd have to wait is 5 hours for a response, while all my other professors would get back to me in a week. Her grading is so fair. AMAZING WOMAN.

I have taken 209 and 305 with her. Both times she has been responsive and always accommodates the students when there are any technical issues with the UofWs systems. Her study sheets are directly related to the exam and come from the material either in the books or that she shares over the course website - NO SURPRISES! Wish she had more courses

Verner is overall a good teacher. She is very clarion hat she is looking for and makes it easy to get a good mark if you complete all of her assignments. There is a new assignment due each week which makes it easy for you to gain a high mark. She gives greta feedback and responds to emails within the hour!!

The most caring professor I'v e had. Her assignments are fair, she gives timely feedback, and is accommodating when the crappy technology on campus acts up. Highly recommend her!

Im in the class now. She is so responsive - I always get an answer within a few minutes - at most in a few hours. Sends helpful reminders and shares the entire term so you can work at your own pace. Wish she had more classes!!!

Love the flexibility to work at my own pace. I was able to sprint through most of the material before my other courses back logged. As has been said below she is really fast to reply to e-mails. I had a fried that had never used social media in the class and she was so patient. Highly recommend her and the social media class.

Loved this prof! She was responsive and caring. She knew the content in and out, offered weekly tutorials (which I participated in almost every week), returned assignments quickly (and the exam the same day!). TAs sometimes marked hard, but she resolved any issues fairly and quickly so both the TA and I learned through the experience. Fantastic!

Very relevant course material which includes a lot of very recent required reading articles to keep the course fresh. She is really accessible and response to emails quickly.

We are going through a crazy time with COVID right now and she has been so kind to all of us. She responds quickly, has adapted the course quickly and has a huge heart. I just finished Cyberethics and it was by far one of the best experiences I have had. Prof. Verner had clear expectations and was so supportive of all of us during the current crisis. She answers e-mails within minutes most times and returns grades very quickly as well. I wish she taught more courses - or that more instructors were like her!

In cyber ethics now. She is so helpful and clear. The course has been designed to let us do what we need to do at a pace that is good for us. Really flexible schedule so we can manage other work. Highly recommended.

Her grading is extremely fair. I finished the course with an A+ but that was because of her/the GA's consistent feedback. She is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING <3

By far my favourite prof. She is literally perfect. So understanding of students' situation and very easy to talk to. She's very enthusiastic about what she does. Class is more of a conversation than a lecture. She extended deadlines multiple times just to take pressure off students close to finals. Study the terms and your golden for the final.

My favourite prof... she is well organised, experienced, brings in new information to keep her course fresh and is ALWAYS available to her students. I took her course in Winter 2021 at the height of the pandemic and felt like she cared so much for us even though she never really met any of us! Strongly recommend her and this course.

I love her! Responds to student emails instantly, she is so sweet and genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is the best and I wish she was my prof for every class!

Amazing prof!! super easy class, assignments take some time but nothing crazy. Her lectures are easy to follow, you have to attend at 3 for credit. 4 easy discussion posts to do over the semester. Exams are straight from the review she gives. Super understanding and kind prof as well I absolutely loved her! Take this class with her!!! She's awesome

Wow professor Verner is just the best. She is so organized, such a fair teacher and is so understanding towards students. More profs need to be like her because she is one of a kind. Great professor. Definitely take this class with her. Should be able to achieve mid 90 as long as you stay on top of assignment deadlines as well as any other submissions required. Midterm and Final is easy since professor tells you what to study. Do the exam review (can get the answers from textbook) and you should ace it.

Professor Verner was extremely helpful with feedback and provided several resources to help us understand concepts instead of only lecturing. The textbook was available for free online. Professor Verner might be the most GOATed professor at the U. This girl is only the most chill, awesome, easy professor I've ever had. Assignments are super chill, she is super nice and if you're brain dead you can get a mid 90 in this class. 100% would take again, one of the easiest classes and best professors the U has highly recommended.

Dr. Verner legit makes this course so everyone who takes it can succeed. There are several assignments but as long as you try, you'll likely get close to perfect. She has weekly discussions and you only need to do four, you also only have to attend class three times to get marks. She wants students to do well. Highly recommend!
